I've lived on this property for several years with my kids and we've stayed for so long because this property is so convenient to literally everything. You can can easily walk to the movie theater, Safeway, Mod Pizza, and Mud Bay. You can also catch the bus close by, catch an Uber in under 10 minutes every time, or book a Metro Flex car. From the moment I moved in, I have been consistently impressed by the level of service and the welcoming atmosphere that defines this place. I've lived at a lot of other apartments but always felt most of the staff didn't care who you were. We feel like they care at this property. The amenities are top-notch. The pool is one of the nicest apartment pools I've ever been in. They keep the water and the surrounding poolside areas impressively clean. There's even a little sundeck off the back side of the pool. It's been nice during the summer to sit in the sun and just chat with other mom friend neighbors. They also keep this property very clean and they maintain the grounds consistently. So consistently that I know exactly which day of the week the leaf blowers are coming. To be honest, my only complaint about the property is the leafblower noise. Lol. I know they're just trying to keep this place looking beautiful though. I'd much rather have a little noise for one morning per week than live on a dumpy, run down property. My guests are always impressed at how nice the plants, flowers, and trees are here. The apartments are large and have some of the best up-to-date interiors. There are so many units on this property but you never feel "boxed in" at all. What truly sets this community apart though are the people who keep it running, particularly Lili. Lili's attention to detail is evident in every aspect of her work. She goes above and beyond to ensure that people's needs here are met promptly and efficiently. Whenever I've had a question, I've been able to contact her and she never treats me like I'm a burden, no matter how inane my question is. She's prompt at emailing and calling you back too. There's a newer woman working in the office, Kaylee (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) and she's been very kind and professional every time I've had to drop off paperwork or stop in to ask someone in the office when the rooftop deck is open (because I love it up there but I always forget when it's open...) I really like the office and maintenance staff here. They all give the sense that they care about the people in the community. If you see any of them out on the property, they always say hi. You don't get treated like you're "just another resident". Most other apartment "communities" I've lived in didn't seem very community-like. People wouldn't stay long and you never knew your neighbors. This place is different in that people stay here for years. You don't feel like you're living in a cookie-cutter apartment building. Been here for 3.5 years, DH use to be a great place to call home. However, the last few months it has gone downhill. My apartment is a 3rd floor walk up in what use to be a quiet building. It was a nice variety of families and professionals. What has changed is loud noise , garbage everywhere, kids writing on hallway walls, kids screaming and mom and dad fighting. Dog poop is everywhere and an there is an overall "We don't care" attitude from mgmt. As expected, mgmt will always change, but the quality of (Office) people now is not the same. They don't know the name of their tenants, don't care to know, and don't care if you stay or move. They definitely do not give it a "Community" feel as previous mgmt. I am a good tenant- pay my rent on time, know every person in my building, quiet, professional and not only clean up after my dog, but others too. THE GOOD: The views (From upper floors), my apartment is quiet (Inside) only sharing one wall, in unit washer/dryer, my garage (You'll be on a waitlist), kitchen layout, lots of storage space in apt, extra large bedroom, dog park, quick apt maintenance resolution, the maintenance team, the guys who sweep every morning, neighborhood walk is 10/10, my balcony. I've meet some people who have become very good friends. THE BAD: Garbage and dog poop everywhere! Except for Earl and Justin, current office mgt is rude, dog park is all bark and gates are frequently broken never being fixed (A group of us called several times) and now the fence is starting to lean over making it unsecured, parents who don't watch their kids- chalk graffiti on the outside walls, kids food wrappers everywhere, bikes and scooters blocking the staircase, garbage litters the stairs, two kids had a water fight in the hallway below me- it look like a flood, doors slamming that shake the entire building, no A/C, very dated interiors (Beige yellow walls, industrial greenish carpet in LR, carpet in bedrooms match the beige yellow walls. The indoor pool is closed more days than what it is open. Tenant/building issues (Constant smell of pot, trash, again with the dog poop everywhere, noise ordnance violations, etc) can be called in, but the feeling from many tenants is mgmt won't do anything. There are emails sent listing the "Dont's" but no one pays attention and mgmt doesn't do anything to hold people accountable. The complex is definitely changing for the worse. I use to walk my dog around the neighborhood leaving my door unlocked or walk her very late at night. Not anymore. Even my neighbors in other buildings no longer feel safe. Right now, I'm embarrassed to have friends come over due to the trash everywhere. You can find much better for cheaper elsewhere on the Eastside, and I have. Leaving a second review just to further expand on how terrible this place is. The condition of the unit I lived in upon moving in was terrible (photos attached), walls spackled poorly, carpet coming up/ripping, cabinets broken, molding damaged, etc. upon moving out they charged me $321.30 for "full paint needed". The only new "damage" to the paint/walls was nail holes, which does not warrant a full repaint. This place does anything they can to financially screw with you. I have lived here for a long time and yes management have their ups and down. But here is the thing, unfortunately this is a management company that doesn't care about their residents. This community claims to be a smoke free community and units. This is false. They allow residents to smoke anything yes anything inside their units. Our closed buildings are suffering the most. They don't care that we have children. We are all inhaling the marihuana and cigarette smoke they the bathroom vents. On top of this we have careless residents and there is trash all over and dog poop. Nothing is done unfortunately. High rent for not having peace, inhaling smoke every day and many other things. We ended up not moving in and it had nothing to do with Discovery Heights. The apartment complex we are moving out of raised our rent so high we couldn't wait until Mid-December. We were originally moving in October. I was very happy with the staff and falling behind in construction there's really no one to blame. If in the future we need an apartment home, we will definitely consider great complex and staff! They were very understanding and quickly returned my $400 deposit. read more

I've been living here for 2+ years, and we have had quite a number of issues - ranging from dog crap all over the place (almost never cleaned up, and while they purport to have DNA on all dogs and fine for left poops, they apparently leave them for the rain to wear down), to staff that are incredibly unprofessional, broken facilities (rooftop shutdown way past COVID timing), a significant lack of parking (and narrow spots for what there is), and lots of hidden fees for moving out. I've heard the current rates are 50% higher than what they were 2 years ago. Also, its almost impossible to get a person to answer the phone in the office, and when they promise to set up a repair it rarely happens in a timely fashion. Repairs through the online app (rentcafe) are just ignored. For COVID, the indoor pool is limited to 1 family at a time (reserved online), with the staff supposed to come clean between sessions. With over a dozen sessions in the pool with my 3 year old since this started, I have only seen them come in to clean a tiny number of times. When we enter, the front office is usually closed up, so I don't see how they can sanitize between sessions when they are not even there. This is supposed to be a smoke and drug-free facility, but recently we have our entire 5-floor building fumigated by someone's pot. When I called to ask the office to do something about it (Friday morning, 10am) I was told that someone would call me back on Monday. When I pushed (I really don't like having to walk my 3 year old through a stink of pot smoke to get to or from our apartment, and this was stinky from the entry to the 5th floor, including elevator), they said that they would send a letter to residents and ask them not to do it. Today, had an issue with someone staying overtime in the pool (booked slots due to COVID, with cleaning supposed to occur between), and when I went to talk to the front desk they literally told me that the manager would be back in 7 days, and that I could talk to her then. I sent emails and phone calls to corporate and will see *if* they respond. **Update: 3 days out, and still no response Also, while it is nice that there is a pool, it is also only open while the front office is, so closed at 6pm each day, and all day Sunday. Of course, no one wants to go for a swim after work or on a weekend... This impacts all of the indoor amenities, the theater, gym, business office, game room, etc etc... so none of them are available after 6pm. Hope you didn't want to try to watch a movie in the theater some evening... There was an excellent Assistant Manager (Susan) who left before these recent issues. Finally, there has been a surge in local crime, and I have heard about cars getting broken into in the lot. Apparently there are literal gangs going en masse to raid the local Sephora and Dicks (my wife actually witnessed two people charging out of Dicks last summer into a car and then driving within a few feet of her down one of the Townhouse alleys to get to the highway). Dangers of being right at the highway exit I guess. So, my verdict is that this place is highly overpriced (at our rate, let alone the exorbitant current rates) and being run into the ground. read more

I can walk to everything including the park and ride for a easy trip downtown Seattle for $2.50. Staff is great and friendly and maintenance comes in a day for any small issues. I am a former resident of Discovery Heights who moved out after almost three years. My final move out statement was not provided within the 21 days mandated by law in Washington state. Also, when I did ultimately receive a statement after asking several times, some of my deposit was withheld for items that constitute normal wear and tear, which is illegal to withhold for in Washington. I have reached out to the leasing office for Discovery Heights, as well as the Collections department repeatedly and no one has been of any help in resolving this thus far. We moved from California to Issaquah Heights last October, and I was nervous about finding the right place for us. I found Discovery Heights on the Internet. My main point for choosing exactly this complex was convenient web-site where I could see all available units with actual prices (I don't know why some properties hide this information and just ask for my e-mail) I had sent the e-mail and Earl answered me on the same day. The renting process (paperwork, etc.) was pretty easy and all done through email. He also sent me property map and additional photos of the unit that I chose. He was really helpful. On the day when we moved in, Earl waited for us until 9 pm, it was so kind of him. The management team at the office - Earl, Kevin, Chanthy, Joe are very friendly and always available for anything I need. The gym is big enough, it's never too crowded. We do use it often and it's always kept clean We didn't have any issues with parking (our building is 967), noise and with anything else. We wanted to stay here after our lease expired and get an apartment in a build with an elevator, but since they were full we decided to move to Discovery West (actually it is the same company, and some of the management even work in both). I would highly recommend Discovery Heights and Discovery West to anybody looking for a home in this area. read more

I have not moved into my apartment yet but I was so impressed with the customer service I recieved from EARL that I felt compelled to write about my positive experience. My husband and I came in last weekend to visit rental properties. We have lived in NC most of our lives, so we not only had questions about the property, but the area as well. Earl was friendly and very helpful sharing info. not only on the community, but he also gave tips on public transportation, gave us suggestions for nearby hiking, and recommended fun things to do in Seattle! He spent a lot of time with us and we did not feel rushed. We will be making our move from NC to Washington this weekend and Earl made everything as simple as possible. read more

I love living here! The staff is fantastic and friendly. The grounds are just beautiful, and the amenities just don't get better. Indoor pool, gym, theater room, rooftop deck, the list goes on! The location is also great, extremely walkable and close to bus stops. There is plenty of parking (although don't expect to get a spot right outside your building if you come home late at night. UPDATE: After another 6 months of living here, we've really come to enjoy living here far less than our initial year. Here are my impressions; The GOOD: The maintenance crew is friendly despite taking care of a lot of crap. They are always friendly to me in passing and they work really hard to clean up the trash that the disrespectful residents leave around the property on a daily basis. I have some complaints about them, but for the most part, they've been ok. My negative experience with them has mainly revolved around a single person. The club house has nice amenities. Apartments are fairly well maintained. The BAD: The clubhouse amenities (printing center, movie theater, lounge, basketball court, pool) are all closed around 6:00 PM, with the exception of the gym. Yes, that's right. 6:00 PM. In other words, you cannot get into the clubhouse to enjoy the amenities that you pay for if you are a working person. Seriously, what is the point of having any of those things if when I come home from work, they are all closed up for the day? And it's not like they couldn't allow you access, everyone has a key fob that works to get you into the gym. It's literally the stupidest design I've ever seen. And good luck enjoying them on the weekend when everyone else in the complex has the same idea. Also, these apartments don't have air conditioning. I know, I know, "but nothing in the area has air conditioning". Yeah, that excuse worked for King County 15 years ago, but we've had some of the worst summers in the past few years. Imagine sitting in an apartment on a 90 degree day with absolutely no hope for relief. It's miserable. And for a complex as new as this one is and for the price, no air conditioning is inexcusable. Lastly, the heater situation is a complete joke. These units use base board heaters for all the rooms and an oversized electric heater for the main living room. What does that mean? Expect astronomical electric bills (mine were regularly over $200 per month in the winter, which fortunately only lasted 9 months this year). Also, if you have kids, be prepared for them to get burned from touching hot coils or the large wall-vents in the living room (seriously, those things got boiling hot). The UGLY: For the first year or so, we loved living here, but things have generally taken a turn for the worse. We complained about having a broken dishwasher within the first few months after moving in. Maintenance guy came to look and said it wasn't broken, despite the soap latch in the machine clearly not working. So, since then, we've had a broken dishwasher. Same guy came to "fix" the weather stripping on our doors, and from what I can tell he didn't do anything, so our electric bill in the winter sucked really bad because all our warm air escaped. Come spring time, we had ants galore. Fortunately they sprayed for the ants, but I suspect the person filling my apartment when I leave will have the same problems. All of our neighbors have been horrible. The neighbors above us had 3 older kids, and they would all stay up extremely late (after 11:00 PM) running and screaming at each other. They would also loiter outside our apartment and in the parking lot at strange hours (10:30 PM and later). We would frequently wake up to trash and clothes around our apartment, and broken glass in the parking lot. One time I came home from work to find bacon grease poured all over my patio from the balcony above (there was a trail of grease dripping from the ceiling and a couple of soggy pieces of bacon hanging from my railing). The neighbors below me smoke marijuana every single night, and have been doing so for the past 6 months. We have a two year old and we have to keep the windows open because it's so hot in the apartments (no A/C) and I've become increasingly pissed off every time it happens. We've reported to the office numerous times, but I still smell the smoke on an almost nightly basis (despite being a smoke free property). The dumpsters are disgusting and the tenants treat them like a literal dump, not bothering to make sure their trash gets in the dumpsters and also dumping all kinds of personal items around the garbage cans for someone else to clean. Aside from the way that people trash the property, there are frequently police cars on property responding to domestic disturbances. We once had a "hate crime" reported, evidently, and also had a level 3 sex offender reported on-site. Lastly, expect the usual unfriendly business practices you've seen from the average managed property. We have some exceptional circumstances that we need to get out of our lease a month early and we were told to basically screw ourselves despite paying an inflated rate for the past 5 months (due to a 6 month extension) and the fact that they will likely backfill our apartment with no problem, meanwhile getting more money out of me for charging me the "early termination fee". Discovery Heights is the best apartment. Here's the truth: great staff, beautiful faculty, amazing location, affordable price, awesome neighbors, beautiful indoors and out, super clean, best amenities, and fantastic management. Everything about Discovery Heights is great. The staff are kind, professional, and helpful. When I need something or see the staff they are very helpful. They know me by name and are always doing their best. To sum up: all the staff are quick, efficient, and professional. The clubhouse, rooftop, pool, gym, dog park, and courtyard are beautiful. I love living here. Super clean, landscaping is beautiful, and easy access to freeway or shopping. Sum it up: Management, maintenance crew, and staff take good care of this place. My only complaint is the parking sometimes can be a nuisance. I only had 1 or 2 times where I had to park far from my apartment, but I have lived here 7 months. Overall, the staff are great, location perfect, affordable, quality, clean place, and most neighbors are very friendly. I love living at Discovery Heights!! This is my first time writing a review on Yelp. I felt compelled to write a review after a great apartment living experience at Discovery Heights since oftentimes apartment living isn't the best experience for the renter. My husband and I moved to Issaquah, WA from Michigan in July of 2014. We had one weekend to complete "house hunting" trip and that is when we found Discovery Heights. They took time to show us the apartment home and amenities during our weekend trip. After that, they worked remotely with us to ensure all our ducks were in a row once we arrived. When we arrived at our new home, we did a walkthrough of the apartment before our belongings were delivered. We were unhappy with the carpet in the Master bedroom prior to moving in, as we noticed a couple of stains and some pet hair (although they were professionally cleaned). We do not own a pet and have severe pet allergies so we requested the carpet to be replaced. Judy, the property manager, worked diligently with us to come up with a reasonable solution and replaced the carpet. We were happy with the outcome. Throughout our time there, we had a few maintenance requests that we submitted and were handled quickly and professionally. The front desk staff always handled packages and mail delivery in an organized manner as well. The gym at the apartment was never too busy and has everything you need to complete a good workout. Prior to moving out, we were in limbo for a few weeks on whether or not to renew our lease. We didn't know if our jobs were going to relocate us or not. We ended up signing and having to almost immediately break our lease. Judy again worked with us to come up with a fair and reasonable solution during this time. The grounds are maintained on Friday afternoons and kept beautifully at all times. They do a really nice job throughout the whole year. We LOVED the rooftop and enjoyed watching sunsets and drinking coffee outdoors by the fireplace. You cannot beat the location of this property either. Walking distance to the grocery store, Dick's, Marshall's, a hospital, fire station, the movie theater, the Issaquah stairs (about 128 stairs connecting the lower Issaquah Highlands to the new development up the hill where people come to workout outdoors) and many restaurants and shops. There are walking paths and a park nearby. It is also walking distance to the bus station where we would take the bus right into downtown and back to Issaquah again to avoid downtown parking costs. We even saw bald eagles on two separate occasions land in the trees around Discovery Heights. Overall, it is a quiet community and nice for all age groups. It is a great place for families too! My experience started out fine when I moved here in 2017, but it has progressively gone downhill. The people working maintenence have always been wonderful, but office management has turned over and my communication with them has been met with rudeness, and my concerns brushed off. Over the last few years, the elevator in my building has broken down no less than 10 times (not due to power outtages). Once it was down for almost 3 weeks before repair. Even now we are forced to ride the elevator with a white light blinking on it for an elevator communications failure. When I reported the light, I was told it just need to be turned off by their. It is still on weeks later. We can't seem to get packages delivered to our apartment doors, like from Amazon or Uber Eats. My building has a security code. We used to have a code we could give to delivery people but that has been removed. When delivery people press the buzzer, someone from the office has to walk over. But what are we supposed to do in the evening? Maintenance staff has reduced, perhaps due to the pandemic. We also have a known hoarder on my floor that the apartment management has not effectively addressed, which can present a rodent and fire hazard. I do not recommend living here. Money goes to apartment shared amenities, which are beautiful, but not to day to day maintenence and concerns of tenants. read more

He has been very helpful helping our family find a home, and even stayed late one evening when he was done with work to show us a couple units. One we've already looked at! TLDR: If amenities and a caring management are NOT important to you and you DO NOT smoke (that includes weed) than this place has some great pros. PROS: * Larger than similarly priced units in the area * Decent noise reduction compared to other complexes * Good maintenance staff and friendly receptionists * Convenient access to freeway and mass transit * Walking distant to shopping, restaurants, movie theater, and hospital * Access to green spaces and trails * Non-smoking if you don't smoke (including weed) CONS: * Extremely limited access to amenities * Terrible management staff * Bad parking * Mail and package delivery issues * Non-smoking if you DO smoke (including weed) Detailed Version: PROS: Unit Space: Tends to be a bit larger than similarly priced units. They keep prices competitive meaning they WILL bump your rent up every year, usually $50 to $100 a month through I have seen increases up to $250. Noise Reduction: Much less indoor and outdoor noise compared to other apartments I have lived in. Staff (NOT including management): The maintenance guys are friendly and usually quick to respond. The reception staff is friendly but can't address your issues. Freeway and Mass Transit Access: 2 minute drive to freeway except during rush hour. Park and ride within walking distance, stops for both directions even closer, and, if you work for Microsoft, there is a shuttle stop closer still. Gas station conveniently located at the top of the hill from the freeway. Local Shopping: Less than 15 minute walk at a leisurely pace to nice shopping, decent variety of restaurants, and movie theater. Swedish hospital right across the street with a walking bridge over the road to get to it. For groceries there is a Safeway. Additional sopping and eating downtown within a 15 minute drive. Access to Green Spaces and Trails: A few within walking distance, a lot more within a 10 and 25 minutes drive. Non-Smoking Community (For non-smokers, smoking includes weed): If you are a non-smoker and you do smell smoke or weed you can have the satisfaction of reporting it to the office who seem to be surprisingly good at figuring out who the culprit is and getting them to stop for a while. CONS: Amenities: The club house hours (which determine when you can access the indoor pool/hot tub, pool table, computers, and ball courts) closes at 6pm! The gym is available 24hr though... for now. Bad Management: The manager will lie to you with a candy smile and the assistant manager will just tell you no without even listening. Bad Parking: 2 parking tags per unit, not enough spots to cover 2 spots per unit. Paying for a covered spot or garage still uses up one of the 2 tags. Mail Issues: Office does not take mail. They will even accept packages then return them without informing you that they accepted them! Not sure how limited access buildings even get packages. Amazon locker style storage cost $20 for set up and charges you after 2 days (subject to change without notice). Lockers too small for even medium sized packages. Non-Smoking Community (For smokers, including weed): If you smoke and can't or won't walk to a designated smoking area EVERY SINGLE time you need to smoke DO NOT MOVE HERE. You WILL get complaints and fines if you smoke on your deck, it is VERY easy for others to smell and the office seems to be surprisingly good at figuring out who the culprit is. In addition the non-smokers will make nasty comments about you if they even smell it on you, and they will. Trust me on this one, moving here as a smoker will be frustrating and upsetting the WHOLE time, it's just not worth it so don't. NON-RENT COSTS: Sewer and water: around $50 a month minimum use cost. Electricity: Minimum ranges from around $50 to $130 depending on the time of year, May/June for the low point to December/January for the high point. Yes, the minimum fee really does change that much. Pet Fee: $20 per animal per month and $250 deposit per animal. Guaranteed Parking: Covered parking $75 per month and garages are a lot more. Difficult to get. Storage: There are fees for storage but I don't know the current price. Mail: $20 fee to start and a $3 charge per day after the initial 2 day storage period (subject to change). read more

We thought we were moving to our ideal apartment; new, with plans of gym and pool and across the street from my place of work. Instead we are in a renters hell on earth! The building has NO sound barrier and our downstair neighbors are pounding yelling and kicking in our door because they can hear us walking around while getting ready for work and coming home for dinner. I am sick with the stress of daily battles and my 4 year old daughter runs when someone knocks on the door fearing the mean lady from downstairs is going to be yelling! We have requested we be free of our lease so we can move and have been denied. Our only option is to break the lease and be penalized 2 months rent. They should be paying us 2 months rent as that is how long we have been asking for managements help! read more

I lived at Discovery Heights for the past year and found it wonderful in every way. The location is great, easy on/off with I-90 and the local retail offers lots of things to do in easy walking distance. The staff is always helpful. They have dealt with all my requests promptly and effectively, and we always seem to have a minute to share a greeting or a joke. Same with the other residents. Overall, nice people, nice staff, nice facilities ... what more can you ask for? read more

ATTENTION: This evaluation pertains to HNN Associates, LLC and Discovery Heights Apartments in Issaquah, Washington. However, HNN (whatever it is) bills through "Yes Energy Management" in California, and utilizes international companies such as (get this) Shark Property and global Yardi, with offices in Qatar? If you are contemplating renting from HNN, the below will apply to you. HNN says it represents private ownership (Qatar?) and they "have a unique interdependent corporate structure" (their statement) according to their web site. We are not sure what a 'unique interdependent corporate structure' is. Now for us and additional charges I am a retired police captain from one of the largest police departments in the United States. We have lived at Discovery Heights starting in 2013 and have seen the facility go downhill rapidly. The working staff is great, but management (Judy Newman) is terrible. The monthly billing has many charges beyond rent. For instance you have a base rent (which increases each rent renewal). In addition to the rent charge, the "Yes Energy Management" has bill under a heading Charges with a sub-heading of Metered Utilities followed by "Sewer" and "Water". On our last bill we were charged $32.65 for sewer and $17.50 for water. Beneath is a column titled Other Charges (so you have rent charges, charges, and other charges) and beneath this heading is "Trash" $11.50, "YES" (the billing company in California) $2.35, "Water Base" $5.82 and "Sewer Base" $0.13. (We have had a high of $40 and a low of $11 on our monthly sewer billing. When questioned as to the source of the billing we were told it was too complicated.) The real issue is how the bill received by HNN is distributed to individual units. It may take the state to determine this. We have had additional billings as high as $80.49 and regularly $60-65. Remember that is for two older people. Families can anticipate much higher. And of course, electric is separate entirely, but at least you have a Puget Sound Electric billing and not HNN re-billing (which term was used specifically on a monthly bill). Additionally, Discovery Heights (and perhaps all HNN property) is low-income subsidized housing. It may or may not be a problem for you, but this is not made public unless you ask or someone tells you, as we are doing. The facility The grounds are kept nice, but Discovery has a heavily house animal population and people don't always clean up after their dogs go for their walk. Repairs are slow in coming. Cleanliness of public area carpets is becoming bad. The security doors of the two secured buildings are often broken, for months, and the apartments are open to anyone outside who wants to enter. The elevators in the two secured buildings have broken several times, including residents stranded inside, are just a few of the problems. Kids not a part of the residency (non-residents) don't help. The big problem though is increasing gang activity (including fights), car boom boxes thumping and radios blaring at night, police called family disputes, and neighbors regularly moving out. It is beginning to smack of a decaying residential area in an upscale façade. We have had Issaquah police officer residents here who moved out not long after arrival. There are indicators of narcotic trafficking to be investigated. Issaquah PD officers have cautioned not to leave anything in the car as there are problems in the parking lot. We recently have begun to see a regular Issaquah PD canine foot patrol. In fact, it might be good for you to contact the Issaquah police to get an idea of crime and police activity on the property to see if it is low enough for you or your family's safety. After we first moved in, we were told we had been late on a payment (which we weren't) and that the next late pay would be an $85 late fee. The problem was solved by us taking a check each month to the counter, having it copied, and obtaining a date and employee signature for our files. We have had three different base rent billings in the last three months. We paid on time while disputing billings. We are now told we owe from their past error in billings. We admit we are disenchanted with Discovery and HNN. We are in contact with the State and may well go to court over the inconsistencies. We are moving out at the end of our contract. I would advise a shorter contract than a longer one, that way you aren't stuck too long if you find you want out. These problems are no way to enjoy our wonderful area. Greedy and dishonest staff. Did not return 250$ refundable deposit even though we cancelled our lease before moving in!

Do not rent here. The managers are nosey and unkind about everything. If they dont like you, they will give you notices until you move out and then charge you for remaining months plus. It is a scam for the company to make money. They spy on you from other's balcony and complain about things that are not happening. And it so noisy due to traffic and abulances going by at all hours of the day and night. I would not recommend these apartments at all. Renter beware. read more

Discovery Heights has been my home for over two years and I have had a great experience living here. Everyone who works her is very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to help me. Judy is very professional and respectful of my needs and Earl has been so nice to work with. There are many wonderful amenities here and everything is kept clean and in good repair. The indoor pool and spa area is so nice all year round and the gym, workout room, mini movie area. pool table and the fire place are very enjoyable. The grounds are nicely kept and the location is one of the best qualities along with the nice, friendly, considerate staff. I highly recommend Discovery Heights! read more

we have been here for 3 years now. And personally we have had a great experience. The staff is very friendly, and the club house is very nice. Plus the trails in the forest are beautiful around here. I would recommend this to anybody that likes having friendly staff, being in a new developing area, and a beautiful forest right outside their door. read more
