There's a large parking garage where we left our car and then enjoyed walking around admiring the aesthetically pleasing Hyatt. There's even some outdoor gathering spots with fire pits and comfy couches! The showstopper though is without a doubt Water's Table restaurant with gorgeous views of the lake, an innovative menu, and beautiful plating. I keep this place on my date night list whenever the husband asks me where I'd like to go. Perfect spot to enjoy dinner, the sunset, and a walk along the water after.

They aren't owned nor managed by a single company. The Bristol Apartments, for example, is owned by one investment company that is different than the empty towers and the Hyatt is a Hyatt property. It's a bit confusing if this review is for the neighborhood? Do we review neighborhoods now? And it is for all intents and purposes a neighborhood. There's one road in and one road out with the Hyatt, the Bristol, Tra, Peyrassol, the Seattle Family Center, Dock and Drink, and Water's Table filling out the portfolio. It is very pleasant with Coulon Beach Park next door and excellent viewing of fireworks when that resumes. With the parking garage there's plenty of parking though I cannot stress more than ever do not leave any valuables in sight in your vehicle. Southport may be isolated, but that isn't a deterrent for thieves. Personally I'd recommend parking where there's foot traffic since the upper levels are vacant I've only seen smashed out windows at those levels. And it is a pleasant place! In the summers it is busy. The water is so close and the views amazing. I love the four restaurants. It can get loud, and with the exception of a few incidents in 2020 due to people being angry about the mandates at the time it is a very safe space where families, dog walkers, and cute couples gather. Many a wedding takes place in the warmer months so it isn't uncommon to see beautiful gowns and fancy tuxedos, though I'm partial to the Indian weddings since the guests come in beautifully colored saris. There is a lot of diversity at the waterfront and that makes it a wonderful place to be. The winters can be busy too with Coulon Beach Park putting up lights for the holidays and Argosy cruises bringing the Christmas boats by. I always appreciate the carolers. I only wish people would acknowledge the road properly. Drivers ignore the speed limit signs, occasionally just stop in the middle street, or try to double park. Pedestrians often aren't much better because though there's a great sidewalk that connects the docks to the Bristol running up to Coulon Beach Park they'll just walk down the middle of the road like it's a bike path. I have seen a few close calls with pedestrians almost being hit because they're walking down the road instead of the sidewalk. It is a great area.

The first time we went to take a look at the facility we noticed it was so clean and bright, there were lots of friendly tenants and activities going on. Every member of the staff was extremely flexible, accommodating and communicative from the application process to move-in and beyond. My MIL loves it there. Her one bedroom apartment is well-appointed, clean, cozy, has ample storage & closet space, and even has its own washer & dryer. The staff knows every resident's name, and I watch as they make important personal connections every day. The building we moved into was new but all buildings and yards are maintained regularly and with high standards. Maintenance has only been needed a few times but the response time was usually within hours! The office has been extremely easy to deal with. Nice personnel!!!! I put multiple exclamations marks because ALL office managers/workers seem truly interested in what they can do to make our stay comfortable and nice. Jay and Bridgette are the two on staff right now and I like them a lot! There is a small gym downstairs filled with modern, very expensive equipment. It has been a life saver for me since I am in a wheelchair and can't do much walking (recumbent bicycle is my go to!) There is a modern elevator which is also perfect for those with mobility problems and sure does help a lot when moving in! It's quiet here--for an apartment complex. I know there are children, but we just don't hear them. Friday night brings visitors, of course, so it gets a little louder but usually everyone respects the legal quiet time -- almost always! I am older, so this is helpful for us old folks. Negatives: Parking is the only thing I struggle with. And it seems to be the only thing most of my neighbors struggle with. I'm handicapped and quite often have to deal with autos taking over the handicapped spots with no placard. (And the usual "I'm gonna use my grandma's placard and park close because it's convenient" even when we NEVER see a handicapped person occupy that auto is prevalent here just as it is in shopping centers.) Unfortunate but I don't have an answer. Weekends we fill up quickly with guests--but what can I say? That's it for now. If you come here, I am a good neighbor to have.

I've never had such fast maintenance in a complex. -Very safe. I have never felt unsafe coming home late at night, or have had any strange encounters with other residents. My car has had no damage done to it, I always felt okay leaving it parked. -No surprises. There were no hidden fees or anything of that sort. Neighbors were respectful. -Overall a great experience! The bad: -Parking can be challenging. We ended up having to pay $25 more for another spot a month because the visitor parking is not always guaranteed. -Small Apartments. Pretty cozy in these apartments! But you get what you pay for. -Meh appliances. Kind of cheap W/D, shelf in kitchen broke, handle on bathroom mirror fell off. Maintenance was always very responsive in these situations though, so I can't really say it was too bad. And again... you get what you pay for, and we had a cheaper unit. -Children can be loud. She got promoted and moved out of state for one of their other locations and the staff was subpar/took a lot personally than handling business, with the exception of some of the maintenance staff and Kristin was consistently cool. Renewing your lease over certain amount of years they try to offer retention incentives, like carpet cleaning and/or cleaning of your bathroom or moving to another unit without paying extra. Moving out is fairly straightforward and if you do a good job cleaning up, you will get your deposit back. I was so thrilled with my unit. Gym and pool area is really nice and so close to all the attractions within the Landing, Boeing headquarters, the 405 and 5, SeaTac, and during summer training season. Plenty of space within the unit compared to most places in downtown Seattle and parking is about 50 a month in the resident parking area (although my car did get broken into after multiple break ins in other vehicles in the garage & i had rats in the engine on another occasion- they do not keep it clean out there in the garage!). Be aware of hidden fees (valet trash but it does not get picked up near your door w the staffs shifts & the trash in the chutes) and things not getting fixed like the security gate or one of the elevators were never fixed due to a part they somehow never received in for at least a year). I also entered a ticket 7 times to get my washer/dryer replaced and it still takes multiple cycles to dry. Hopefully the safety and security has improved since I left, and no one is pulling the alarm from the street every so often even the fire department and people got tired of responding. They also tow cars they shouldn't and dont on the ones they should..the ones who enforce it dont even check the facts and incriminate everyone. Also make sure you are courteous to those who deliver your groceries to you: dont leave them without any instructions in a place like this!
