The dog park is amazing especially bc the complex is on a major road which prevents any safe dog walking. & maintenance man who keeps the building so clean. Other than that I couldn't recommend. Our storage unit had the locks cut and everything stolen, even though it was in a "secured" parking garage and happened to be out of the line of view from the cameras. Our car (along with about a dozen others) was broke into and the damage was so bad it totaled out the car. Again, of course no security cameras in the view of the cars. Compared to other "luxury style" apartments I'd give this place a 4, but compared to the other apartments in Renton I give I'd give it a 5! Everyone who works here is amazing, the two maintenance guys and everyone in the leasing office! They're really what makes living at Altitude so great because without them this would just be any other apartment. This place has a nice sense of community. + Very secure. I love that you need a key fob to get in, or he buzzed in (the intercom isn't in alphabetical order though so it's a little hard to figure out and the one time I forgot my key I realized my name/# wasn't on it but my bf's was so it worked out). + The main parking is in the garage which is also secure + The appliances are all stainless steel and gorgeous + Units facing the west have dark cabinets and those facing the east have a lighter white/tan wood + The layouts are done great to make the most of every square foot - open living rooms so that space isn't wasted on side dining area cut outs like some other apartments. + When you get packages delivered to the office they offer to drop it off outside or inside your apt + Its off of Benson Rd S so there isn't too much traffic + There's a little dog area. It's really dark at night but they put up a little spot light and xmas lights which help a lot! - The dog "park" is a potty area and not really a place for the dogs to play - Our layout has the bedroom next to the hallway wall so we are able to hear foot traffic and when our neighbor gets home - The walls are thin.. Like, I can hear intimate things I shouldn't hear so put your radio on thin. Minuses that don't really matter to most people but I'm picky: - There aren't any trash cans around the property, especially by the elevators, where I'd expect them but like I said, there's no litter so that's really nice. - The bathroom tub is elevated.... Super weird. The first two or three times stepping in to shower I almost lost balance since I've never had a tub that wasn't the same level as the floor. You can touch the ceiling when you're in there. - The kitchen sink is really shallow It's obvious that the person who built this place has never lived in an apartment but they still did a good job overall and the staff here are amazing, always looking for ways to make it better. I recommend living here! I've rented 5 apartments since living on my own and this is definitely the best one so far! read more

10 stars for management during this economic lockdown. I gotta give 10 stars, every time I call down the manager, is very friendly, she is a little a matter of fact, but she is also understanding. Rent was a little weary as unemployment took forever deciding what to do with my claim and stimulus check, I asked about the no evict rule going around, and what if I am late, she was very respectful and she was more than knowledgeable with having a game plan. Well I called her today because I finally got my stimulus, and I needed to ask what total charges were with late fees, the manager understood the situation Agreeing that times were tough and she took off the late payment fee. I was going to pay the late fee as I know I was late, but taking it off def helps out and She has impressed me with doing so.thank you again! And as for the ones living here, great neighbors, quiet, friendly, but common sense is lacking. you wonder why rent goes up, maybe because they have to hire someone to come in and clean up after us, you can make it to the trash room, but not put it where it goes??? read more

I made an appointment and toured the Altitude Apartments in February 2016. I was very pleased with the location and the building (ti's brand new). The property manager on-site was friendly, knowledgable and helpful. The apartment I viewed was a 1 bedroom, 2 bath + den. Open floor plan from the kitchen to the living/dining area. Plus I liked they had an elevator. I decided to move to another apartment complex in Seattle, this was a strong second choice. I would recommend this place to friends or family. read more

The rooms are impeccable, the staff is friendly and that is the reason I renewed my lease with them Update: Deceptive, I told the apartment complex I needed a 6 month lease because of an external factor (possibility of a job change). All discussions with the property managers had this 6 month factor in mind because of my situation and no other times were discussed. Since the three months of me renewing my lease apparently all admin have been shuffled elsewhere and now I am told that I signed a year lease instead of the 6 month lease. Regardless now I will be leaving and telling all to stay away. Sad thing too because besides this I haven't had many problems with apartment complex. read more

Pauline is the BEST!! When Brad and team left I thought oh no, this place was going to run in to the ground... However Pauline reassured me she would do what it took to make this change as seamless as possible. To my delight she turned out to be a million times better than the prior property manager. She totally exceeded my expectations! She addressed issues right away when reported, always took the time to notify tenants to move cars to prevent them from getting towed, worked tirelessly outside of her normal schedule to ensure tenants were being helped etc. I can't imagine the workload she challenged day after day but because of her, I renewed my lease. My lease ended on great terms:) I am now in a home! Pauline, I miss you! If ever had to go back to renting it would be where ever you are!:) read more

We moved in mid October last year and chose this apartment mainly for its location and the fact that it had a gated garage. When viewing the apartment before moving in, everything looks great with the exception it didn't have a washer and dryer and a missing cabinet door which they said they would replace before we moved in. The washer and dryer was installed before the move but the missing kitchen cabinet door was not. It took two months before they installed the missing cabinet door. Recently what set us off was a message saying we were "randomly selected" for an inspections because hey had some new lenders or something. Luckily one of us was home that day. They came in and took photos and left. A little invasive if you ask me. Would've attached the letter it we threw this one out already but the second letter is attached. Now, not even a week later, we get another 2 day notice e of entry for pest control maintenance. I've never had an apartment had to do pest control without a resident having to put in a request and we have no say in this. Finally, we get a balcony notice which I can agree to some of it, sayin our balcony needs to be clear. We have two mountain bikes with bike covers on them and a cooler outside. I will end up clearing it all inside our apartment to avoid Eviction. That's right, 10 days to clear or an eviction notice is given. Wtf?! Needless to say, in just a few months, this solidifies our decision to move out when our lease is up. Won't ever recommend this place and I'll be sure to let anyone I know to not rent here including posting in one of Washington's Facebook group for the city of Renton. This is unbelievable. Parking is horrible unless you pay for a garage, and as someone else has mentioned, the entire first floor smells like dog urine and the trash rooms aren't emptied out at times. They also put a huge dumpster near the gate entrance to the garage which makes a tight fit at times if two cars are coming and going. Most likely we will be moving to The Reserve or Sanctuary Apartments at The Landing which is relatively close. Good luck to anyone already living here or to those considering. I'm not usually one to push away business just cause it didn't work out for me, but in my years of renting, this is by far the worse experience. Good luck everyone! read more

This complex has gone down hill quickly!! Parking is horrible, garage gate is always broken (we are assured this time it's fixed, after over 10 breakdowns in a 1 1/2 yr period). I've had packages stolen twice from my doorstep (keep in mind this is a secured inside entrance building), my neighbors above have many, many children and they are always running, yelling and jumping and riding tricycles in side the apartment. So loud I can barely hear my t.v. I've complained several times and was told there is nothing they can do because the renters are covered under section 8 housing and it would be deemed discriminatory if they forced them to be decent neighbors. Pretty much was told my only recourse is to call the police on them (seems a little outrageous). Oh did I mention for all this I pay $1,865 a month! I've talked to the office and the main Corp office several times regarding my concern, and their responses each time are "sorry you are having issues" that's not a solution. read more

Rude employee in the leasing office and bad customer service. - Though we had an appointment, we were told upon arrival that the leasing office "had no idea who made the appointment" even though our name was on the system. - We never mentioned if we were willing to go over our budget, but it was already clear that the employee had no intention of showing us an apartment unit. - The employee in the leasing office made it clear to us (within 4-5min of our meeting) that we were just "wasting our time" In short, there are better apartments around the area. read more

If I were to base this review only on management, I'd give it 5 stars. If I were to base it only on the apartment unit, I'd also give it 5 stars. But reality is harsher. I've been living at the place for about 2 months now. I'm in love with my unit: 4th floor, with many windows. Management had been a treat to work with. Pauline has left and now Bobbi is just pure sunshine. The elevator is definitely a huge plus. It was one of the reasons I decided to rent here: I was not in the mood of having to climb stairs to reach my unit. Now for the negatives: 1. Parking, parking, parking! The reserved and garage parking are full so you're left with first come-first served parking. The problem is that most of these spots belong to businesses and/or are already taken by the time you get home from work. Going out in the evening means surrendering your space and having to park elsewhere. Initially we were told we could park at a gravel cliffside road but Puget Sound Energy and the City of Renton complained that the area is not to be used for parking so the parking supply is now tighter than ever. I'm still waiting for a resolution. 2. While Seattle doesn't get many snowstorms, they're still prone to them. Having to go uphill is already bad enough but when it's iced or slushy, there is simply no way to get home or get out safely. Maybe the community should stock up on salt so that next time around residents can walk or drive out safely. I've volunteered to help out as one person (the groundskeeper) can't do this by himself. I've only signed a 12 month lease but at the moment I'm on the fence as to whether I'd want to renew when the lease is up. If the parking situation is addressed I may bump up to 4 stars but I am not too optimistic that a final resolution will be brought. The rating will also change as spring and summer arrive and more details are revealed (air flow, temperature, etc). Update 4/7/19: I'm going all in with 5 stars. They have really come through for me. This is what good management is all about. And ow that we're entering to the warmer part of the year, I'm pleased to see that there is good air circulation and that it's not stuffy at all. I'd still caution new residents on parking. But ask for the waitlist and patience will pay off. read more

This place USED to be nice. Currently things are being let go. The garage door works intermittently. Ita hard to get out when you are trying to get to work and the door doesnt work. The dog park doesn't get cleaned, as you can see from my picture. If your apartment is above the dog park it smells like poop. The trash and recycle areas are cleaned sometimes and sometimes they are left to pile up. There are no amenaties for what you are paying. We are moving to another apartment as soon as our lease is up and never looking back. read more

I moved in October 2016 and I will start with the good. The apartments was less than a year old so everything was new and nice. I do have to say the apartments are a little overpriced for the area they are in. The neighboring apartments are very low income and much more cheaper. Also during the eight months I lived there, there were multiple gun shootings with in a five mile radius or so within that span(I think 5). One of the shootings was on a bus and I could see it on the hill from my window surrounded of police around it. Speaking of police the station is at the bottom of the hill. They probably drive by 20-30 times a day with their sirens on all hours of the night. My bedroom window faced the street so this was very loud and without earplugs probably impossible to sleep. There have been multiple break in's on cars, so much so that security had to be hired to monitor the parking lot at night. The security they hired was nothing more than someone in a van with a magnetic decal saying security. I saw them a few times in the upper lot browsing there phone. As for the parking you can pay to park underground for $75 and their was a wait list for it. As for parking outside if you are getting home after 5pm or so good luck finding a spot. Then to make it worse they were going to start charging for the previous open spots. So far less parking. Say you cant find parking there's isnt much except a side street that's a pretty far walk and you are leaving your car in a dangerous area. I swear more than half this building must smoke cigarettes and of course they arent the 50 yards away from the doors. Each time you go outside you have to hold your breathe to make it to your car. They also love standing in front of the mailbox covered area so have fun getting your mail out. Also dont expect your deposit back. My carpet was like new I only ever wore socks on it and made the movers take off their shoes. I also moved out a day early so I could spend the next day really cleaning the place. I had it spotless as if a maid came through. I did the walk through with one of the employees and everything was good and she said they would send out my deposit in couple days. Deposit comes and they charged me a $95 carpet cleaning fee. $95 for a maid to come clean. $25 for small pin holes in the walls must have been less than 10. $25 for new drip pans??? Small pin holes in the wall are normal anytime you rent I have never been charged for this before. The drip pans were clean but I guess not up to their brand new standards..... I asked them about the two cleaning fees and they acted like it was normal and insisted its normal not to get most of your deposit back. I have lived in five different apartments and never was told this. The apartment I moved into know stated in lease agreement that the carpets needed to be steam cleaned before moving. I checked the lease agreement and no where in there does it say I have to pay for a main and carpets cleaned no matter what when moving out. I actually have never had any of my money taken on deposits. If I would have know they were hiring a maid and cleaning the carpet I wouldnt have spent a day cleaning. I have no idea what the maid would even have left to clean? I also would have worn my shoes while moving to make things easier. So if you a planning on moving out dont even bother cleaning they are forcing you to pay for a maid no matter what. Even though no where in writing does it say this! For paying your rent its nice they have an online site, except when there is a $5 fee for each transaction!!! I have never had to pay a fee like this I would have rather dropped off a check each month. Overall the apartment is nice but the management will try to make money anywhere they can. I cant recommend living here due to that. Also drive times are terrible if you are heading north on 405 basically a parking lot. Probably about 40-45 mins to Bellevue and a hour to Seattle. read more

It puts on a pretty face but it's pretty shady. Constant parking issues including spite towing from the business sharing the parking. They remove more and more value while increasing rent. Dog poop found in hallways, and it's a joy that meets you when you wander in through the propped open "secure" doors to your apartment. Trash and recycling constantly overflowing. To the point it just become a trash room it seems people opens the doors and just chunks it in not even aiming for the chute. read more

I saw these apartments online while searching for a new place to call home. It seemed like something interesting too check out so I scheduled an appointment.. I received an email the day before stating "The time of our tour appointment has been changed, with the updated details below. Thank you for being flexible. If you have questions, please reply to this email. Thanks! " with a new appointment time and day... they just assumed I would be able to come in that time instead without asking if I would even be able to.. I canceled my appointment due to how unprofessional it was and also I was going to be busy that day they set on their own.. A few days later they texted without me authorizing it saying, "Casey, Please let me know if you would like to view a one bedroom that is currently available on the market amazing low rates.".. Still really odd but I was in a pretty good mood and I did want to give the place a chance since I was looking still. We made an appointment for a Saturday at 1pm... My bf and I arrived at 12:50pm and nobody was there... The maintenance man (who was very friendly) told us that the lady had just left for her lunch but we could wait.. which made no sense because we made an appointment and I also gotten a reminder text message about it earlier that morning too.. We decided to wait since the note on her door said she'd be back at 1:50pm and we already came all that way... while we were waiting another couple came in waiting too and it was already 2pm... the leasing lady came in looking like she was rushing and simply just not prepared.. And let me tell you our tour was just not great, maybe it was an off day for her but dang.. she said she didn't know that we were even coming, yet we were on her schedule when she checked and she didn't know that another unit was available, I had to tell her.. on top of that she also kept PUSHING us to either get a 2 bedroom that we do not need AND tried sending us over to other apartments to check out... she was not listening... Also, 3 groups of people were waiting on her cuz of her not knowing about us coming or whatever the reasons may be... Over all was just a mess... I was so disappointed and concerned I sent out an email requesting her manager to be contacting me in hopes to receive a more professional experience.. I'll be updating this if I do. So far this place has been the worst/most unorganized place I've toured, which raises the question how are things ran here? I gave it 2 stars because of how nice the maintenance man was and how the aesthetic looked. P.S. Everyone's complaint about parking here is unfortunately true as well.. Renters must pay $75 for a garage parking and $35 for outside, and keep in mind there's hardly any spaces in both. read more

Hi, If you are looking or thing about renting from altitude apartments then maybe you should know some of the problems that come right after you sign the contract. There is absolutely NO PARKING. Another big problem is the management. They are there for you when you sign but quickly disappear when problems arise. Noisy, people smoking marijuana on balconies all the time. Management knows but does nothing about it. If you have a problem 90% of the time you will not hear back from them. Hope this helps with your decisions. People deserve a better home then that. read more

Do not live here. They have the worst parking or NO parking space for residents at all. Some had to park in the fires-land area because there isn't any spot available to park your car. They will lie to you to lock in a contract then you can't get out. It happened to me and other residents live in my unit. Plus, within one year I live there they had over 3 mangers and all of them were rude to residents. This place bad and poor management!!! Couldn't be happier. Compared to other apartments in the area, the office staff makes you feel like a friend. Maintenance goes out of their way to fix issues and improve the quality of life in the community. Apartments are new and great quality. If you can manage an apartment with a view it's all that much better (otherwise there are windows throughout the building and a super nice lobby with plenty of windows). Apartments are super dog friendly, and the dog park is plenty large for our greyhound. Summary: you get what you pay for. read more

Having been a pleased resident for many months now, I am deeply thankful for the staff at Altitude for their exceptional customer service. Relocating to the Seattle area for work and having to find housing was an episode which I took seriously. During the search and finding my 1st residence, I noticed the Altitude complex under construction. And, I silently said to myself "that is really where I would like to live". Even while I had my cousin & her husband here visiting, she and I agreed that Altitude was the community we were moving to. Well, here I am, living as a euphoric resident at Altitude Apartments. Everyone: Brad, Genvieve, Rhonda, Lonny and Tim are family to me. They genuinely care about my well being, and are always available when I have a concern OR just want to chat. I believe that the Universe gives us homes where we will be well looked after, and Altitude Apartments is just the place for me. I did quite a bit of research before I decided in Altitude, around the Renton area I don't think there is any other place that comes to mind that could match the size, quality and price of this complex. The apartments themselves are nice and the area is pretty decent. Management has changed twice in the year that I've lived here and the previous manager was a nightmare. I haven't had much interaction with new management, but I currently don't have any complaints. There were a lot of things that old management completely screwed up that new management has fixed. They added more wood chips in the dog area, which was greatly appreciated since it was a disgusting, muddy mess. They started sending text messages to let you know when you have a package in the office (with previous management, you just had to have tracking because you were never told when you had a package). They've also started checking and handing your packages to you (with old management, you could just waltz in and take any package you like). As far as everything else, there's only one elevator, which is incredibly frustrating. When people move in, they have to hold the elevator and if you happen to come home with a ton of groceries, you're SOL. The designated smoke area is right by the dog area and in order to get to the dog area, you have to walk down a narrow passage while inhaling the smoke of the people who are smoking, which is revolting. The parking spots in the garage are super tight and good luck finding an unpaid for spot after 5 or 6 pm. I recently received an email about how scarce parking is for the residents and how they are now going to start charging $25 a month for assigned parking that used to be free parking that my boyfriend and I happen to use. We already pay $50 (I've recently been told that for new residents, the price is now $75) a month for one stall and share it, while the other takes the used-to-be-free parking. A good 85% of the neighbors I've encountered are crap. I'm very reclusive and normally couldn't really care less, except that they're disrespectful. The people below us and to the right of us are loud and we often have to blare our tv and stomp on the floor to drown out their noise. I have a 50 pound golden retriever mix (who is the light of my life and can be a bit weird with people, but is very friendly) and I have never been more insulted at the way people have treated her since moving here. I had one woman (who I have literally had zero contact with except in passing in the hall while my dog is on her leash and at my side) tell her children, "What are you doing? We're not getting in that elevator with that dog in there," and another woman (who lives next to me and my dog has barked at on a few occasions because wow imagine that! Dogs bark???) hold the elevator because she heard someone coming and when I came around the corner and she saw it was me and my dog, she literally said "Okay," and let go of the door, leaving it to close before I could get there. Dogs are dogs. THEY BARK. It astounds me that people genuinely believe that I would ever let my dog hurt someone, which she would never do to begin with. Overall, now that old management is gone, the place isn't that bad. read more

I have lived at Altitude for a little over a year and just signed a new lease. I have loved living here. The staff is fantastic. Everyone is quick to respond when you need help or have questions, and will go above and beyond to make sure you're happy. The property is really clean and well maintained, and they're constantly improving it. The landscaping is terrific. The community is also really great. People are always polite and respectful. I've never had an issue with anyone being loud or disruptive. After a long day of work, it's nice to come home and know that you're not going to hear the people above you stomping around or your neighbors blasting music. The actual apartments are great. The floor plans really take advantage of the space and are incredibly open and airy. The stainless steel appliances are a nice touch and the finishes are all very nice. I would definitely recommend Altitude to anyone who is looking for an apartment with great service, layouts and community. read more

When me and my husband first moved into these apartments, we thought they were the nicest apartments in town. It was a good area, close to the freeways, and right in the middle of everything for us. Once Brad (our original manager, and what 1 star is for since I can't put 0) left, things started to go down hill. We wished we knew he was leaving, otherwise we wouldn't have re-signed our lease for another 13 months. Management changed AGAIN, we never really dealt with the 2nd management so we can't really say anything about them. But the current management was not that great.. - Our trash room started to pile up, to the point where it would be hard to access the trash drop because there was so much recycle in the way. - There's no AC in the actual apartment units, only the hallways and the office. I hear they're telling people there is AC, but they didn't even know there was AC in the hallways to begin with (heard this from a fellow tenant) - We had 1 parking spot that we paid for EVERY SINGLE month, we were one of the first people to move into the apartments when it opened so that spot was ours until we moved out. They decided to re-paint the lines and numbers in the garage and sent out a mass email to only ONE person (my husband only) that signed the lease about moving the car out. First off, not everyone checks their email every day especially when they work all day everyday. Second, why wasn't there a letter posted on everyone's door (like every other apartment complex does, like every other notice we've gotten)???? THEY TOWED MY CAR OUT OF THE GARAGE. Third, why didn't they take the time to look into who or which tenant pays for the spot in the garage and give them a courtesy call? (Oh that's right, according to the manager they didn't have records of who was paying for what parking spot) Dumb move not to get record from previous management, or knowing that you didn't have record you should've taken action into that, but they didn't. And that's not all, they tried to make us pay for the towing fee. - 1620 building has a tenant that doesn't like to clean up their dog piss in the elevator. The moment the elevator opens it reeks and I'm sure I'm not the only person which a sensitive stomach.. just pee? Nope, someone left their dog sh*t in there one day too. - Good luck with getting out of the garage when it gets stuck. I just started a new job and the garage door wasn't opening, so I was late. No one was in the office, and the "emergency" line was dead too. I literally had to figure out how to open it myself with the help of my husband. As many times as they've "fixed" it, you would think they got it right by now - The door to one of the stairs in the garage didn't need a fob key to get it, it was reported that it was broken, but never fixed - At one point they had security, one of those companies where you just stick a "security" magnet to your car and call it good. Most of the time they would be in their car, on their phone parked in the "Fire lane no parking" right out front LOL. My husband was with his friend outside in the front and the security guard RUDLEY asked what he's doing here. My husband told her that he lives here and she decided to ask what apartment number? That already, is not okay. She told him our apartment number, and showed her the key fob and left it at that. I slept in the living room most of the time because our bedroom didn't have a window, and the same night the security guard wasn't feeling so well so I heard her and her coworker talking outside as she was getting relieved. She mentioned the incident with my husband, LIKE IT WAS AN ISSUE! Whatever, the night ended and we were on to the next day. That night we ordered pizza, we gave the information on what to dial on the call box to get inside (like everyone else does! You have the call box for a reason right? Do easy access for when you have guest over and don't have to go all the way downstairs) our pizza delivery guy was escorted to our door. The same security guard was standing behind him while he was doing his job. WHO DOES THAT?! For the first time EVER, the delivery man looked ticked off his damn self. The security guard clearly didn't believe my husband when he told her he lived here. DISCRIMINATION. What happened when we talked to management about it? She said she knew how my husband felt, and that they'll contact their security company about the security guard. Not much help! There's so much more I can say.... but I'll just leave it at that. This was our first "home" together, but it started to lose the value and meaning "home" after all the incidents... We're so happy to move out. read more

Gorgeous layout, BUT the walls are thin. I heard every step my upstairs neighbor were taking. This has to be the worst apartments we lived in. If your considering moving here, don't do it. Horrible customer service. They could care less about your concerns or complaints. Parking is horrible and neighbors are loud and theft is a big concern. The parking garage gate is always having issues. Dog poo is all over and people don't pick it up. Neighbors have no respect for others when it comes to the noise. A lot to deal with for the price you have to pay. I lived here for almost 3 years and I'm only moving because I have to! My apt was AMAZING, huge, airy, bright, everything I wanted. MASSIVE elevators, a perk because there have been elevators that don't fit my tiny 2.5 love seat couch. I loved it here, if you're a fan of small practically brand new communities, like taking walks in nice neighborhoods (dog people), don't want to pay for amenities you never use (pretty much all amenities for me), want super cheap below-building garage parking and BEAUTIFULLY MAINTAINED GROUNDS AND BUILDING CLEANLINESS AND AWESOME STAFF MEMBERS, this is the place for you. It CAN be expensive but what nicer apt isn't, plus there's like 20 different floor plans to choose from. Management 1. Pauline- property manager, FANTASTIC. She is more or less the only office person and she will go above and beyond to make sure you're happy! She knows everyone by name, super personable, extremely good at what she does, the list goes on. 2. Vernie- Maintence supe, ONE OF THE BEST. Super knowledgeable, work orders are done really quickly unless they have to order parts, super friendly all the things. 3. Tom- groundskeeper. Ditto Mick H's thorough review, plus: Management explicitly told us that spackle on pin holes on the walls was fine since they would paint anyway, and we got charged. Should have gotten that in writing, joke's on us. Don't believe the apartment listings claiming that Altitude has air conditioning - they don't. Beyond that, the in-the-wall heaters are extremely inefficient and our electricity bills are 20% lower per month for a house twice the size of that apartment. More than once, I saw lines four people deep waiting for the manager on duty to finish talking with her friend on the phone. The gym equipment is filthy and falling apart from lack of maintenance. You'll feel some shaking and then realize that screws are loose or missing. read more

I just moved in within the last few weeks. I have had the pleasure of working with Darla, and she did amazing at making me feel welcome and making sure to answer all my questions before AND after moving in. She has made sure to accommodate me and all my needs and never made me feel rushed or not important! Many problems over the years staying here from stolen packages to never being able to reach anyone working in the office to the loudest washer and dryer I have ever heard. The people above us were constantly running and jumping, even after multiple requests to management to ask them to be respectful of those below them, management did nothing. People would run and yell in the halls and smoke pot. Overall not worth the price, plus parking is a disaster. read more

Moved in September 2016, previous management was fantastic. New management in 2017 is truly awful. My biggest concern is that as of June 2017 there has been constant construction on site for the past two months without any warning, and without any communication from the management on length of time we can expect these disruptions. I work from home and the level on noise generated by the construction crews has a big impact on my ability to do my work. The construction does not even adhere to the communities own "quite hours" rules, and runs on weekends. I do realize it is a little ridiculous to ask the management to move construction start times forward so I have made several requests just to be given a heads up on the timeframe we can expect construction to continue and even a heads up on days they will be working directly below the second floor apartments but to no avail. None of these request have been even acknowledged past the property manager telling me this is something above her pay grade. I cannot fully express my frustration at the complete lack of respect this company has for its own residents. There are plenty of communications I have received from the new management begging for positive social media reviews, but I cannot get a simple heads up on some intrusive construction that has lasted as of this review 60 days. There is lots of property being built in this area of Renton as well as the greater Seattle area, for very similar prices. You are much much better off looking to spend your money in a place to live where the management can even pretend to care about their residents. I would not recommend Altitude Apartments to anyone and would even go as far as to warn people to stay away. This has been a incredibly abysmal experience unfortunately. I will say the people who work the front office are nice and personable but do there does seem to be a large disconnect between them and the home office that is responsible for the property management. The people who work on site cannot be blamed for a terrible management company and they are very helpful with smaller issues, its just this big thing is not something I can overlook. I may not have a very active account on Yelp but I feel so strongly about this I did want to create an account to hopefully save at least one person the massive headache that I have had living on this property. read more

Apartments are new and comfortable. For just the apartments, I would give 4 stars. Small cons but not deal breakers: The gym isn't very well equipped. Two treadmills and bikes plus a free weight station. Parking spots are also pretty tight. However for the management side, it would really be 3 stars at best. The management recently changed due to new ownership and to be honest it's not as excellent as the previous team. Definitely more back-talk from a certain new member of the team which is not really conducive of how a "luxury" apartment team should be. Best wishes on improving customer service. read more

My husband and I moved into the North tower at Altitude Apartments back in April of 2015 when they first opened. We have loved everyday living here. There are so many things to love about Altitude Apartments. Everyone is so friendly, especially the staff. They get any problems or concerns you have fixed right away. What we've also loved is when you have a package and don't have time in the day to pick it up from the office, they'll drop it off in your apartment for you! It's so convenient and it really shows that they care about you enough to go out of their way, just to help you out. I've lived in other apartments that don't even compare to this place. You feel so safe there all the time with 24/7 security, having a key fab to get into the buildings and gates to get into any car garage. All in all, we've loved it here and don't plan living anywhere else for a long time! read more

Very happy with our time at Altitude. The apartments are spacious, bright, and new. The office staff is really friendly and responsive to any issues. When we were looking for apartments around Renton we could not find a better quality/price value than Altitude, and that's held up in the 9 months I've lived there. read more

Update: The new management is a great change for Altitude in my opinion since my last review. Angelica sends texts when you receive packages at the office. She greets you when you stop into the office. Plus has great communication and customer service skills from my experiences. I have noticed the grounds and halls look cleaner and the staff is making sure the common areas are up-kept. I started to notice heightened security over the past month - an actual security person in the parking lot and common areas of the building, which is a nice touch. Another nice change is that we can have reserved parking in the back lot for a small fee which is hopefully a good solution for me since I come home from work late at night. I am appreciative of these small changes, and hope to renew my lease here in the upcoming months. read more
