The food here is OK. The rice was dry, the pani puris were stale, & mango lassi was warm. Naan had good flavor but was a tad burnt on the bottom. :/ Portions were good. Service was ok, neglected to check in and refill waters. Good amount of seating. Small parking lot. Not hard to find parking.

First time eating their food today. The chicken karahi and dal curry were fabulous. Sadly, both our naans (plain and garlic) were just awful. My wife called it right: it was like eating a tortilla. No taste, no puffiness. Definitely the worst naan I have eaten. Moral of the story for us is skip the naan but eat the delightful dishes. We'll be back, for sure. The karahi was super tasty with just the right amount of spiciness for me (mild). My wife's dal was also very tasty with no noticeable spiciness (also mild).

First time, we went, it was really good experience. We are getting bolder, so we ordered different dishes and well, we were not disappointed. Service is really excellent and ambiance was really top of the line. Oh, during dinner time, call before you go because the restaurant is small, and not much tables.

I love this spot! The food is always fresh and flavorful, the service is top notch and the restaurant is clean, cozy and comfortable. The wild salmon in the Fish Tikka Masala was made to perfection. Their mango lassi on point. And the price is also right.

The first thing that stood out to me was how nice the chairs are. The service was great too. We got to try Malai kofta, and goat curry. Both were great. Looking forward to return visits to try more of their specialties.

Panj-Aab Indian Cuisine is a casual restaurant located right across from the Pacifica McDonald's. They have a small shared parking lot. The server was very warm and friendly. All of the menu items are ala carte, and the prices were reasonable. They have a big menu, so it was hard to decide which items to order. We ordered the Chicken Momo, Fish Tikka, Garlic Naan, and Chicken Biryani. All of these dishes were hot and fresh. We also appreciated the nice presentation of each dish. The restaurant was clean, and they also do take-out too.

The food has been delicious every time. I enjoyed the Tandoori platter, but I think because it's cooked in a tandoor the salmon and shrimp get a bit more cooked than I like my fish cooked. What I might do next time is ask for the platter but ask if I can have the fish cooked on the stove top. My guests loved every single bite. We ordered Samosas, Chaat Platter, Chole Bhature, Saag paneer, Garlic naan, Pulao Rice and a Mango Laasi. There's a selection of beer, wine, sparkling water, and soda in the can.

Excited to try a new restaurant in my neighborhood. I ordered to go, and my order was ready when I picked up. Pricing was average and portion sizes were fair. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala which was pretty good, Garlic Naan was good but I like my naan thicker.Shrimp Biryani portion size was great but lacked flavor.

We've been anticipating the opening for weeks and it did not disappoint! Great selection on the menu. Excellent mastery of spices and balance of flavors. Can't wait to work through the menu. Dining room is cozy. Staff were super friendly. (We did take out so pics are from the home serving style.) It's been a long time since Pacifica had a food place to get excited about and they hit the mark BIG time. Go... go now!

This is the SPOT for authentic Indian Cuisine! The food is flavorful and the service is outstanding. I have ordered "To go orders", yet after this I highly recommend to Dine-In if you have the time! The plating of the food creates an undeniable Ambiance for a tasteful experience. The Samosa for starters, was delicious and very filling. For main course I chose the Butter Chicken served with White Rice and Garlic Naan. The side of Achaar (Mixed Pickles) was seasoned heavily and would not recommend if you don't like spices. To complement my cuisine I had the Indian Chai with the Gulab Jamun for Dessert. This drink served hot is a MUST TRY that helps with digestion of the meal (I ordered 2!). The Dessert is perfect for people who enjoy Sweets! Overall I recommend to serve you taste buds!

Great service and even better food. So convenient to the coast. Parking in a private lot. Place was cleaned and staff was diligent in maintaining that. Great vibes.

Food: 4.95 | Service: 5.0 | Ambiance: 4.90 Hours: M-F 10:30AM-3PM, 4:30PM-10PM Sa-Su 10:30AM-10PM PANJ AAB INDIAN CUISINE is a small, family-owned, casual eatery specializing in Punjabi cuisine with rich curries, tandoori w/vegan and vegetarian options located in North Pacifica, in the small mall across from Taqueria La Perla. The small plaza offers limited parking for early diners but there's street parking available. Greeted immediately when I walked in, opening dinner hour, You walk in and are softly welcomed with the wafting warmth of the aromatic Indian spices being toasted in preparation for dinner service. There's seating for twos and fours with a robust takeout. I opted to dine in since it was empty but it filled up quickly after me. Good sign. There is table service, and though one person handled it all in front, she did a great job, outstanding hospitality. Someone else might show with your food order but it all works. Ordered: SAMOSA - (2) Golden, flaky triangle pastries with spiced potatoes & peas. Simple, Hot, fresh, ready for the tamarind and cilantro dipping sauces. MATTAR MUSHROOM - Fresh mushrooms with peas in an onion and tomato sauce. My new fav these days. Only comment is some of the mushrooms were cut inconsistently. Some quartered, some sliced. Prefer quartered since it makes for a meatier dish. But the flavors were all there. KARAHI CHICKEN - Chicken stir fried w/ onions, peppers, ginger, spices. Another new fav! TANDOORI PLATTER - assortment of chicken, lamb, fish & shrimp. Shrimp was on the smaller size and should have been cooked less than the other proteins. ONION KULCHA - Naan stuffed with seasoned red onions. This is a new fav over Naan! MANGO LASSI - basically a yogurt & mango beverage that's a cooling balance to the spices in Indian cuisine. Always a fav. GULAB JAMUN - Soft milk balls in cardamom-saffron syrup. This was a complimentary dessert but has never wowed me. Normally it's presented with one big golf ball sized (maybe bigger) sitting in sweet rose-syrup. Eyeing the three small milk balls suspiciously, I dug in with my spoon, and was pleasantly surprised with the milk balls subtly sweetened scent of cardamom & saffron tickling my palate! Would definitely order this. PANJ AAB INDIAN CUISINE is a wonderfully new find and will be part of my Indian meal rotation. See you there!

Preface this review with: I historically don't like Indian food. It usually gives me a tummy ache, and I always thought it was one of the spices used. This place has changed my narrative. This place--so yummy!!! The paneer is soft and delicious, and the spinach is so flavorful. The tandoori assorted meats/seafood was such a special smoky taste and so tender. Garlic naan was fluffy and crispy. Samosas were dense and filling and the outer shell had a great crunch while still tasting doughy and homemade. I love that it's open until 10pm--great for late date nights since it's hard to get out of the house until my kids go to bed. I'd try takeout here too in the future. Very kind servers who checked on us often. Inside seating is no frills, but a good amount of space between tables. Saw a family with small kids in the corner too, they looked like they were having a good time. Like when I go to K-BBQ, I wear clothes I don't mind laundering since the food and air are well-spiced--comes with the territory of flavorful food IMO. Check it out if you want to feast on tasty Indian food during convenient hours!

The original plan was to grab some lunch items at Whole Foods, but who doesn't want to try a new restaurant?! Walking into the restaurant, it's a little unclear if you order the counter and they bring you food or if you're seated and you order at the table. We quickly figured out that your order at the counter and then grab one of the tables and they will bring you your order. I found the restaurant to be unkept, and most of the tables that did not have customers sitting at them were super dirty. The tables hadn't been cleaned from the previous customer/customers. We had already ordered and it was that quick mental conversation of are we expected to clean the table so that we can dine there or what. Thankfully, a bus boy appeared, and he didn't seem overly eager to want to clean the table that we were standing at but instead wanted to clean one that someone was dining at. It was kind of odd. He took a couple of swipes at the table and it really just removed the food that someone had dropped all over the table. Just not a comforting feeling when you know that you'll be dining in that same spot. Our food came out fairly quickly, and I was super excited to have a good meal. We ordered the lunch special, which included a lentil/garbanzo, bean side, CTM ( chicken, tikka masala), rice, and naan. We ordered one mango lassi to share because we figured it was easier to try it, then order too much. You can always order more, right?! The mango lassi was very underwhelming. It locked through mango flavor, and that hint of tanginess. I just felt like I was drinking warm mango juice. I definitely have had better. With the lunch plate, we upgraded the naan to the cheese naan. I love carbs like anyone else does, but I found this to be basically bread that someone had put curry flavor in with a couple of cubes of cheese. So basically curry powdered bread. Yuck. The CTM, I found the chicken to be very sparse in terms of the portion size, and the chicken was very rubbery. It was overcooked, and I specifically had asked for little to no spice. Apparently that request was ignored. The lentil and garbanzo beans were tasty, but the garbanzo beans were undercooked, incredibly hard, and the flavor profile was really weird. It couldn't decide if it was supposed to be spicy, spicy, and salty, or something in between. The rice was OK. It had far too much fenugreek in it, and again the flavor profile, even combined with the CTM just was a little offputting. The guy behind the counter was fairly friendly, but it wasn't that warm and inviting friendliness. Is this a place I would go back to? No, not at all The one thing that I really enjoyed was the artwork on the walls.

The hot section had some appetizers, rice, and an assortment of curries. My favorite dishes were the samosas, lamb curry, chicken tikka masala and chana masala. At least half of the dishes had some level of spice (medium in my opinion) so keep that in mind if you're not a big fan of spicy food! Fresh, fluffy naan was brought to us at the table. The curries are rich and deeply flavorful without ever being greasy. Here are the standouts I find myself ordering on repeat: Himalayan Goat Curry & Himalayan Lamb Curry: Both feature incredibly tender meat in aromatic, rich gravies. The goat curry, in particular, is a less dry version of Sukha Gosht--you can tell it's been slow-cooked for hours. Fish Coconut Curry: Perfectly cooked salmon in a decadent, and beautifully spiced coconut curry sauce. It ties with the goat curry as my absolute favorite. Aloo Bodi & Tama: This Nepalese dish was a new discovery for me. The contrast between the crunchy bamboo shoots and creamy potatoes/black-eyed peas is superb, and the spices never overwhelm the vegetables. The Classics (Dal, Palak Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala): The Dal is pure comfort (exactly like my mother's!), and the Palak Paneer tastes like it came straight from an authentic Punjabi dhaba. Their Chicken Tikka Masala is a close second to the famous version at the iconic Chor Bazaarr restaurant in London--tangy, spicy, and delicious. A true local treasure!
