Absolute divine intervention of Nepalese chef skills embedded into authentic cuisines. The tika masala tomato base has been perfected, great blend of tomato and curry. The basmati rice also cooked to fluffiness that blends with the curry magnificently. The prized jeweled tandori Momos is something I never encountered before and this is someone who has had homecooked momos for years! The tandori essence is stir fried into the momo dumpling with a magnetic ease. The paired beer is also crisp, subtle with calm flavors. Cant wait to try other items!

So glad we were introduced to this restaurant and cuisine . Will definitely be back and also try their other restaurant In San Mateo . The Timur beer was perfect for a light drinker and I even had two ! The Chicken 65 was delicious... imagine 65 spices in a dish ! Chef made a special vegetable pakora for us which was also delicious . The chicken Manchurian was different in flavor and very good . We had two MoMo 'dumpling' s we ordered were delicious and unless other dumplings we've had before . The lamb was delicious as was the chicken masala. Difference in sauce and presentation. Must come back to try their other restaurant dishes .

MOMO places seem to be poppin' up everywhere, but with one so close and with good reviews, we decided to give this one a shot. We went with trying both the momo (essentially dumplings) and the biryani. (On a later visit, we got the skewer to add protein to the meal). The biryani is super good - it's one of those dishes you can just eat the entire thing in one sitting. It has both flavor and texture - and it combines beautifully that makes me hungry just writing about it. (NOTE: It did seem that the takeout portion was way bigger than the dine-in - but I've only ordered twice so far so I can't say for sure.) The momo themselves were, what I'd say, as-expected. Solid dumplings, but not like fantastic. I would take the biryani over the momo, but if you're in the mood for a lil' sumtin' dumplin' - then of course, the momo will do you right. Love that the spot is nearby and is delicious - makes dinner decisions in the future that much easier :)

Newly opened in our stomping grounds so we thought to give it a try on a Friday night. The restaurant was quite full but Ishan did his best to accomadate. Clearly short staffed but the food made up for it! We had Chicken Tandoori Momo, Nepalese Chicken Daal-Bhaat and Vindaloo chicken Plain naan. All of Def need to go back and try more items on the menu.

I have come here a couple times already and it's great! Service is very nice - though during busy times not that attentive- so just be patient. My family really likes the butter chicken- so creamy and delicious paired with the biryani or chow mein (the sauce is so good!) The naan is just ok- I prefer their rice and noodles. Parking can be difficult in the area during peak times. Definitely a good spot to check out if you are in the area!

I came here to grab lunch before a long flight from SFO. It's a restaurant in a busy, quaint part of Millbrae (in what I believe is the downtown). The restaurant wasn't too busy, but it seemed like there was a decent sized lunch rush for a weekday. It was also cool seeing staff and owners chatting with what looked like regular customers. Staff were courteous and service was quick. The food was amazing -- maybe some of the best Nepali I've had in the Bay Area. I've never had Tandoori Momos -- would 100% recommend. They were very well spiced and smoky from cooking. Absolutely delicious!! The Manchurian was also really good. Maybe a bit sweet and greasy for my taste, but very good nonetheless. Portions were also very generous for the price. I definitely ordered enough food for two people. Go here!! I'll be back when I visit San Francisco again.

One of the last few Indian spots we haven't tried close to our house and we're glad we did. The staff was super friendly and quickly seated us when we're walked in. The restaurant was filled with amazing smells and the menu was very inviting. This was the first time we saw dahi puri being offered so that was a must have. We also ordered chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and steamed chicken momos. The food came out pretty quickly and we dug into the dahi puri immediately. Crispy on the outside and filled with goodies on the inside. Will be ordering this whenever we come here going forward! The momos were delicious and came with a dipping sauce. The garlic naan was light and fluffy, a good complement to the chicken tikka. We couldn't finish everything but took the rest to go. Love finding a new place we can pull into the regular rotation.

Great addition to downtown Millbrae. First Himalayan cuisine good in Millbrae I think. There's always been the Indian spot down the street. Pretty spacious spot, mainly tables for four and two that can combine for bigger parties. Also pretty sweet they have a liquor license. Tried one of there appts that was a yogurt filled crispy thing, sorry forgot what it was called. Looks like a fried dough ball but it's like a cream puff but with yogurt instead. The chicken momo was in the jhol version. I think I'm way to use to dumplings bring pipping hot but these came out warm and ready to consume without worrying about burning your mouth. The sauce reminded me of the numbing Sichuan peppercorn. They were delicious, could've just ordered just Momo's for a meal and be fine with it. Shrimp biriyani was also good. There was a sauce that came with it but I didn't catch the name. It paired very well with it. Would definitely come again to try out all their other offerings

The food was delicious! Both the Lamb Curry and Lamb Biryani were flavorful and tender. Please note that the curry does not come with bread, so we ordered the Garlic Naan separately--it was super fresh and definitely worth it! We arrived around 1:00 PM, and the atmosphere was very quiet and peaceful. We didn't have to wait for a table at all. Great service and very clean. Highly recommend!

Pleasantly surprised by this cute restaurant less than 10 minutes from the San Francisco airport. They served generous portions for lunch and everything was really good. The Gobi Manchurian was definitely my favorite dish. The cauliflower was lightly battered, firm and had the perfect amount of Manchurian sauce. I also really enjoyed the vegetable Biryani - the fried onions on the top were a nice surprise and it was packed with cauliflower, peas, peppers and carrots. Finally, the vegetable Samosa was as you'd expect but still quite delicious. I ordered everything mild but if I ever go back I'd add a little more. heat.

we enjoyed our recent visit momo & curry Nepal while we were in the Millbrae area. We ordered the lamb skewer, chicken curry, and pita bread, and we liked everything we had. The food was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. We will be coming back in the future!

    Combo Skewer (chicken and lamb)
    David K.

Momo & Curry Nepal was one of the friendliest local businesses I've visited in a long time! The staff here was super hospitable, proudly showcasing their Nepali heritage through their dishes. The Combo Skewer plate came with boneless chicken and lamb pieces, marinated in yogurt and Himalayan spices, and grilled to juicy perfection in a tandoor oven. The skewers were served with marinated and grilled broccoli, onion, and peppers, and served with salad and mint sauce on the side. I also had the Goat Daal Bhaat, a complete Nepali meal that came with rice, tadka dal, achar (spiced potato and vegetables), broccoli, goat curry (bone in chunks in a spiced onion gravy), and gulab jamun, all served on a round metal platter. The meal was balanced and satisfyingly delicious, and the flavors were all authentic (except for the broccoli, which for some reason they substituted for raayo ko saag). Overall, the food here was worth 4 out of 5 stars, but the amazing service definitely gives this small business a boost!

Surprised I haven't reviewed this place yet as we've been here multiple times…read more We love coming to this place not only for the food but the wonderful owners. This time, we got the potato cheese balls and the chicken curry combo platter. The combo is priced at $23 and gives you plenty of food such as the curry, lentils, spinach, rice, papadum, salad, another tomato based sauce, and funds it out with rice pudding. This combo platter is easily enough to feed two people or to have plenty of extras to take home. We asked for medium spicy but I think their mild mean no spicy, their medium means a hint of spicy, and their hot means normal spicy. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Each table is decorated nicely with a small pot of wild flowers created right there before dinner service. The owners are a family combo and check in with you throughout. They always serve with a smile. We love the decor in here and the large amount of plants, especially the climbing pothos stemming from the fountain in the center of the restaurant. I would say this is a great place to have a date or celebration and I'd encourage others to come.

Over the last few years, I've worked my way through nearly the entire menu and brought numerous guests here; every single one has left impressed. The interior is peaceful and welcoming, but it's the owners who truly make the experience. Their warmth and genuine hospitality--whether we are dining in or picking up takeout--make it a genuine pleasure to support this business. The food is nothing short of phenomenal. The curries are rich and deeply flavorful without ever being greasy. Here are the standouts I find myself ordering on repeat: Himalayan Goat Curry & Himalayan Lamb Curry: Both feature incredibly tender meat in aromatic, rich gravies. The goat curry, in particular, is a less dry version of Sukha Gosht--you can tell it's been slow-cooked for hours. Fish Coconut Curry: Perfectly cooked salmon in a decadent, and beautifully spiced coconut curry sauce. It ties with the goat curry as my absolute favorite. Aloo Bodi & Tama: This Nepalese dish was a new discovery for me. The contrast between the crunchy bamboo shoots and creamy potatoes/black-eyed peas is superb, and the spices never overwhelm the vegetables. The Classics (Dal, Palak Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala): The Dal is pure comfort (exactly like my mother's!), and the Palak Paneer tastes like it came straight from an authentic Punjabi dhaba. Their Chicken Tikka Masala is a close second to the famous version at the iconic Chor Bazaarr restaurant in London--tangy, spicy, and delicious. A true local treasure!

My first visit was rocky but I attributed it to new business challenges that still needed to be ironed out. Now that they have been open for some time, unfortunately not only are the issues still existing, but they are getting worse with time! The last time I ate here they got something wrong with every order at our table AND at least one thing wrong at every table there. I know this because we had the time to watch and listen, and it was a disaster. It would be one thing if the orders were all wrong but the service was fast or the food was ultra delicious but those things aren't true either. Every time I've eaten here I've contemplated just leaning because regardless of how many people are in the restaurant, the dishes take forever to get out of the kitchen. It absolutely boggles my mind. Not only are there issues persistently with order accuracy, timeliness, and service, but when I've discussed the issues with the people serving, they don't seem to be bothered by it. Parking is limited with so many businesses so closely packed and there are a lot of transient folks who loiter this parking lot and I've watched many police interactions that iefy me feeling like I just didn't want to hang out there at all. I don't know how they stay in business really, but I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

Let me just say... wow! The Chicken Tandoori was one of the best I've ever had. It was perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, and packed with flavor. This was actually my first time trying Chicken Tikka Masala, and I completely understand why it's such a popular dish. It was rich, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and not greasy at all. Paired with the garlic basil naan, every bite was absolutely delicious. I'm Middle Eastern Americam Afghan, and our cuisine is known for using a lot of herbs, spices, and bold flavors. Because of that, I'm very picky and skeptical when trying new restaurants. Rasoi exceeded every expectation I had. Every dish was seasoned to perfection and bursting with flavor. I also have to give a huge shoutout to the manager, Axel. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience. He has outstanding customer service, an incredible personality, and so much passion for both the food and the restaurant. To the owners: you truly found a gem. It's hard to find someone who treats a restaurant like it's their own, and Axel definitely does. I'd also like to recognize our wonderful server. Unfortunately, I forgot her name, but she was working behind the bar making drinks while also taking care of our table. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and such a sweetheart. The entire staff made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. The IPA was fantastic ice cold, crisp, and incredibly refreshing, especially on such a hot day. It paired beautifully with the food. To top everything off, they surprised us with complimentary ice cream, which was such a thoughtful and generous gesture. It instantly reminded me of Afghan Qaimaq Chai. It was creamy, refreshing, and the perfect ending to an already incredible meal. I'm already looking forward to coming back with my family. Next time, I can't wait to try their biryani! Thank you, Rasoi, for a great dining experience.
