This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the upper peninsula. It's located in an unassuming strip mall in San Bruno. Parking is very easy here. The restaurant decor is minimal and I did not have to wait to be seated during my visit. The people working there were friendly and it didn't take for our food to arrive. While I enjoyed eating at the restaurant, I find myself "lazy" most of the time and then end up ordering for delivery. I have a tendency to order the same things again because I like them. One of my favorite dishes here is the Aloo Tikki Chaat. I almost always get this, but I also mixed it up by getting the Papdi Chaat and this one is also delicious. Kadai Chicken is another favorite. I also like getting the Garlic Naan. Who doesn't like carbs? Indian breads are so addictive. They also have wraps and these are HUGE! The food was enjoyable overall, especially for those who may not be deeply familiar with traditional Indian flavors or are trying Indian cuisine more casually. While some dishes felt a bit milder and less authentic to an Indian palate, the overall taste was still good and approachable. The pricing is slightly on the higher side compared to the portion sizes, but the shorter wait times are definitely a plus, especially during busy hours. The ambience is cozy and works well for a relaxed family dinner or small gathering. Seating inside is somewhat limited, but the comfortable atmosphere helps make up for it. Had to divert here because of long lines elsewhere, and it just seemed like a good opportunity to try Naan Point Indian places can be a little tricky because portion sizes between different establishments can vary so widely (like a "entree" can be a small bowl). But the photos were helpful and so we opted to try the Thali plate (which is dine-in only) because it had a variety of dishes and was really good value. We got the chicken tikki masala and the butter chicken (lol standards) with the roti and the naan (these are some options you can select for the thali plate) - and they each also come with yogurt, salad, and lentil sides. Overall, this is a pretty solid Indian place. The food came out quickly and was tasty, there was a good amount of food, and there's even a complementary chai station. (Naan Point also has a stand-alone app you can download to gain points though you have to order through the app (and not your server), and the rewards rate is for every 100 non-tax dollars spent, you get 5 dollars reward.) I was craving Indian food and happened to be nearby, so I decided to try Naan Point. It's a cozy, little restaurant serving up some great naan and curries. We opted for the thali plates with butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. For sides, we chose tandoori roti and regular naan. We chose mild and medium spice for our entrees and both had great flavor and just the right amount of spice. We both liked the naan more as the naan was really good and chewy. I'd order this if here next time. The thali plates also came with a salad, makhani, and raita. The makhani was great! I'm usually not a big fan of lentils, but this was done really well. Tips: -dine in for some complimentary chai! It's self serve near the kitchen entrance and behind the cash register. -download the app and you'll be able to order through the app and earn points for every order. It's 1 point per dollar pre tax and $5 off for every $100 you spend. I also like that Naan point is conveniently located at Bayhill Plaza and has tons of parking, grocery store, CVS, and dessert and boba spots nearby so it's a great stop if you're in the area and wanted to make other stops too. read more

This is probably one of my favorite spots. I'm glad to live so close. The free chai tea is also great. I came here about a year ago with a big group of friends and we were so impressed by how delicious everything was. We shared a variety of different dishes and everything was absolutely phenomenal. I had been thinking about coming back and was excited my friend suggested this place again. We got the garlic cheese naan (not on the menu but our server suggested it as an option) and the chicken samosas. My friend got the chicken vindaloo and I got the coconut prawn curry - I got the hot version and it was pretty spicy! It was a delicious slow burn, where my nose was running but it was so good I kept eating, and I am excited to return here again soon! Service was fantastic too, friendly and lovely staff. Came here for boyfriend's birthday lunch with his family. Parking is very spacious, and it's right by a giant CVS and Jamba Juice. The service was phenomenal, and everything we had was absolutely delicious! My boyfriend loves butter chicken, and we also had chicken tandoori and a bunch of different curries and naan. I have a soft spot for naan, and they came to us hot, soft, and crispy. We left stuffed, and had such a fabulous time here. We'll definitely be back here for more delicious Indian food! read more

Didn't realized how close this is to my work place and glad I tried this place. The lunch specials were filling and there's chai tea at the self serve area. The restaurant is small but has good seatings. We came around lunch and got seated right away. I ordered the coconut chicken and it was good. I got to taste the chicken Masala as well and it was good. Service was great to get us seated right away. It did take a lil time for someone to come get our order but once we ordered food came out quickly. Definitely will be back to try more since it's so close to my work. read more

Came back a few times and the last time made me realize it's really not worth it. The flavors are really good, and their naan is amazing. Their saag curries are fantastic. But I paid $50 + tip for a takeaway order that included two plain naans, one saag paneer, and one saag lamb. There were 5 cheese cubes in the saag paneer (yes, I counted) and maybe 1.5 oz of meat in the lamb saag. The rest of the chunks in the lamb saag were ginger. The food is good but I can't justify paying over $60 once tip is included for barely any protein. It's a shame because I'd love to have made this my go-to place for Indian food. read more

I was ecstatic to find Naan Point was open on Thanksgiving. I've been craving Indian food, so this was perfect! My partner and I ordered for pickup and our order was ready within 20-30mins for pickup. I selected one order of the veggie samosas, 1 order of the paneer pakora, the lamb vindaloo with mild spice and a side of rice, and the chicken mushroom with a side of rice. OMG, everything was delicious! The samosas were still hot when we unpacked everything at home which was wonderful. They provided two sauces, one green and creamy cilantro mint and the other was a thicker sweet tamarind-- both went well with the samosas. The pakoras were new to my partner and I. Being a HUGE fan of palak paneer, I knew we had to try these. Basically, it was two thick cubes of the paneer cheese with spinach, encased in batter and deep fried to this golden deliciousness. It was such a hit, we're going back this morning to pick up TWO orders! The pakora paired well with both sauces as well! As for my lamb vindaloo- I was almost disappointed with the amount of lamb in my dish. It was so flavorful, I had wished there was more lamb but as I finished my meal, I figured it was enough to keep me full. Ordering this with medium spice was perfect also because it was just the right amount of a kick without having to constantly sip my soda in between bites. I had a bite of my partner's chicken mushroom and this was delicious as well. This dish had a creamy yellow sauce with an immense flavor of spices. Pairing this with basmati rice was perfect. Let me preface this by saying that I am not an Indian food connoisseur. That being said, I want to start with the positives, the place is clean, the server and complementary chai tea was nice. The Naan and butter chicken were tasty. If I had to do it again, I would avoid the weekend lunch special. While the Kulcha Plate sounded good with Naan, Tandori Chicken and variations with garlic or cheese, I was expecting something more a kin to a rice plate with naan, yogurt, chana (chickpeas) masala and onions as sides. Instead I got a pizza with "specks" of chicken. Not trying to gross you out, but I pull larger chunks while flossing. @$18 per I expected more. I advise that you avoid the specials and go the ala cart route as the value proposition wasn't with it. Maybe scrap the weekend special and just stick to lunch rice plates? read more

Strip mall location so I can park a pickup truck easily. 4/5 spice level pretty good. Great flavor for the spinach. The garlic naan was amazing, fresh, plenty of garlic, not over done. So happy that I found a place with such delicious Indian food and great service. The menu offers a wide selection so you can keep coming back to try different dishes. This is solid Punjabi style cooking- the best type of Indian/Pakistani cooking imho! My husband loved it and he knows his Punjabi food! We all loved the saag and aloo( spinach with potatoes). This saag is one of the best I have tasted in the Bay Area actually! Seasoned and mashed just right- this tasted like a village Punjabi mom's home cooking! Delicious! Dal makhani was on point. And the tikki kebabs had delicious green chilies and grilled carmelized onions. The meat was carmelized and browned- very substantial and plenty to share! Free chai which is always nice. Samosa on point with a flaky delicate wrap. Everything was so good! The staff were friendly and proud of their food! As I was leaving I saw silver plates filled with a variety of food which looked even more delicious! Must be their lunch specials and I can't wait to try this the next time! By far the best and most value packed Indian food I've had in ages. I was telling my date how Indian food has gone ala carte and has got so expensive. And how back in the early 2000's when I was introduced to it, you could get two full meals for what we now pay for one. We both got the Thali Plate, which includes a main, dal, salad, raita, and rice or naan. For the mains, butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. I agree with the other reviews that they can improve the balance of gravy and chicken/paneer in the dishes. It is difficult to find such authentic food in the SF/North Peninsula area. I had their lamb biryani before, and it was delicious, which is why I came back to try the tandoori, naan, and samosas. When I placed my order, I was told it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I went to browse a few nearby stores, then returned to wait. I was extremely hungry because I hadn't eaten anything all day, and I even mentioned that to the cashier. After more than 20 minutes had passed, I noticed a group of people walk in, sit down, and get their food almost immediately. I asked about my order and was told it was still being prepared. Another 5-10 minutes went by, and I watched even more dishes being served to that table while I was still waiting. At that point, I asked for a refund because the wait had become much longer than promised. I was then told my order would be ready in another five minutes. I asked why the people who had just arrived were already eating while I was still waiting, and I was told they were the owners. That was disappointing. I understand that owners may want to eat at their own restaurant, but customers who have already been waiting beyond the promised time should be prioritized. Wish could give a 3.5 star. First shout out to really fresh butter chicken and tandoori chicken bowl! Both were so delicious! I ordered a kadhai paneer thali and boy the paneer had so much oil, had to scoop Out paneer to eat it( I guess they make in advance and put so much oil so it soesnot get spoilt) Also it came with a lot of rice and no naan or roti. Their food is authentically great. I order Seabass curry and Keema Naan with lamb fillings. The spice, the curry are exceptionally good. The Non and the lamb was well marinated. I don't taste any gameness at all. The fish is great. The only one thing I'm disappointed is like previous reviewers had mentioned they do not give you Seabass, but sole fillet only. The price are very different. I wish that they honestly advertise that as soul fillet I will come back to this place. Just avoid ordering the Seabass dish unless they change. read more

Aloo tikka chaat - typical yogurt-y, sweet and tangy taste. Liked it. Chicken vindaloo, mild - Large pieces of boneless dark meat chicken and potato in a red colored, tomato-based sauce. Mild was indeed very mild, barely any spice. I wouldn't get the chicken vindaloo again. Lamb vindaloo, medium - The lamb vindaloo sauce tasted different from the chicken vindaloo. Not only was it hotter, but it was also more flavorful with the spices. I'd order this again and keep it at medium even though it has a high heat level. Chicken korma, mild - Korma is a more creamy gravy with a milder spice profile. It reminds me of a more veggie flavored curry, if that makes sense. I liked it but would've liked it better if it were more spicy. I would get this again and order medium. Paneer tikka masala, mild - Their tikka masala is on the sweeter side. I live in Daly City and honestly, not much Indian food options in my town. I used to have Indian food more often when I was living in the South Bay. I wish I find this place earlier. I really love their naan. It's soft and crispy. The cheese + chicken naan is my kids' favorite now. It's nothing compare to what we get at a food court. Oh, and the mango lassi - it's not the one that's mixed with too much yogurt. We can definitely taste the mango. The only complain I have is the price...but I know, it's expensive to make one. But definitely splurge it if you like mango! We ordered our curry with mild. I have really low spicy tolerance. I didn't find it spicy in my first two bites...but the spice really started to kick in after my 5th. It's flavorful and it's a good kick!! If you can't eat spicy food, don't pick "no spice". Highly recommend "Mild"! The service is attentive. We were well taken care off during our time :D I really want to highlight their children menu. While the print out may not look the cutest kids' menu, I love how the flow/design of the kid's menu. It's a roadmap and a child can follow it to choose a carb, a main, and some other sides and then it'll be served Thali style (on one metal plate). I love the vibe in this place. TV was playing Indian pop music at the back - it's definitely fun watching those music videos ;) To me, this seems to be the perfect spot for me to experience/introduce Indian foods to my family even though we aren't Indians.
