We started with the Frittura Mista di Pesce, which was lightly fried, fresh, and a great way to begin the meal. Excellent choice. The Gene Salad was another standout, simple, fresh, and well balanced. The tomatoes were so sweet. The food was solid across the board, the service was polished, and the energy in the dining room made for an enjoyable evening. A dependable choice in Montecito that I'll happily return to.

They sat people there without cleaning. Took our order, came back because he didn't remember my order! Food arrived. I have to say it was good burrata. Next course came, and I truly can do better at home! Both dishes disappointed. Left the food there. The attitude, the dismissals and the bland food was not worth it. We won't go back!

We went for brunch on a weekend while traveling and it was clear this is the spot in town: the line was out the door, but it moved quickly. You order at the counter, they seat you, and the food comes out to your table. We had the lobster Benedict and the challah French toast, and both delivered. The lobster Benedict was generous and rich, and the French toast impressed my wife who has high standards when it comes to French toast. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, and the staff stayed attentive and friendly even with the crowd moving through. If you're in the Santa Barbara area, make time for this one. Next time, I'm going to try the chilaquiles. Almost forgot - best hash browns I've had in a while as well.

When I arrived home -Long Beach and checking the content... Felt kinda cheated .. see attached photo.. If the three slices cannot fit in this size of a box Atleast use a bigger box instead of cutting the size of the cake to fit in .. Traveling from Lompoc back to Long Beach ... Im always making a time to swing by to your Montecito spot and even promoting your place to my friends to check out your bakery. But today is kinda frustrated in the service given.

We only went because we needed somewhere to get lunch for a party of six on Thanksgiving Day and the first couple places we thought to call were closed. We realized we might have better luck with hotel restaurants and were relieved when someone at the Revere Room picked up the phone. We said we'd be there in about half an hour and asked if we should make a reservation, and the person on the line said there was no need, as we should be able to walk in. I was pretty annoyed when we showed up as promised and the restaurant was completely full. Like I understand that the staff can't predict what will happen between noon and 12:30 on Thanksgiving Day, but this did seem foreseeable, and they should have taken our name down since we'd told them we were coming. I told the host what had happened, and she just kind of smiled and acted like she hadn't heard me. No apology, and we waited, with two young kids and their grandparents, for forty minutes. Service was fine once we sat down, and the patio setting was nice. The menu was basic California coastal, nothing exciting but something for everyone. I got the Central Coast Cobb, a hearty salad with Santa Ynez greens, grilled organic chicken breast, crispy bacon, Munak Ranch soft boiled egg, avocado, tomato, goat cheese, and honey dijon vinaigrette. I liked it, and it kept me full enough until Thanksgiving dinner. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back to the Revere Room, which feels like it mostly exists to feed hotel guests. I'm glad we had somewhere to go with my parents and kids, though, even if they were snooty about making us wait.

A top restaurant in SoCal for me…read more We were visiting from LA for a weekend getaway and made a last minute reservation for little mountain and I'm so glad we did. First off the ambiance is immaculate - very airy and light, al fresco and outdoorsy. The staff are all very nice and attentive. We were celebrating our anniversary and they started us off with a complimentary champagne pour. Then the food! We started off with the bread (oaty and chewy) with cultured butter and the hiramasa crudo (the fish felt more like sashimi which we loved and the sauce was bright and citrusy). Then we got the shelling beans with corn puree. This ended up being an unexpected favorite of ours! Lastly the trout - the skin was perfectly crispy, the fish was tender. And the mushrooms were great too! For dessert we ordered the sourdough ice cream which was AMAZING! So creamy. The lovely team at little mountain also sent us the corn cake which we had been eyeing as well. Overall we had an amazing dinner here and we will definitely be back next time we're in SB!

It's a new restaurant, very popular, and we failed to get reservations the first couple times we wanted to go. We managed to snag one for 5:45 on a random Monday and enjoyed an early dinner on the sunlit patio. Matt B. grew up in Montecito and remembered this space--in the Upper Village next to Pierre Lafond--as a casual Italian restaurant. Little Mountain is more upscale, attractively built out with an on-trend dining room and moody bar, but the vibe is relaxed, maybe particularly on the patio. You don't need a special occasion to visit, and we even learned that the full menu is available at the bar, which is reserved for walk-ins. Service was excellent, friendly and helpful. Not formal, but attentive at a pretty high level. There was an interesting cocktail list, and we indulged in a couple of rounds. Every drink was fantastic. The Mission Canyon was zippy and refreshing, with gin, amaro, pineapple, and pink peppercorn. The Picante Fumar was margarita with tequila, lemon drop pepper, pineapple, and lime, with a black salt rim. From the Hearth was a juicy whiskey cocktail with bourbon, grilled fruit compote, lemon, and smoke. Pluck the Day was boozy but bright, with rye, Strawberry Thief brandy, strawberry, and saffron. The food was outstanding, some of the best I've had in Santa Barbara. We started with the country sourdough with house cultured butter, an Oat Bakery loaf swirled black with charcoal. We then shared three crudos. Our agreed-upon favorite was the hiramasa and manzano pepper with satsuma aguachile, an absolute knockout. The hiramasa, or yellowtail amberjack, was fresh and firm and silky, and it came in a vibrant green aguachile sauce with a heap of cilantro and thinly sliced onion or shallot on top. I may have had spoonfuls of the sauce after the fish was gone. I also loved the Santa Barbara spiny lobster with ajo blanco and hummingbird sage, the bouncy bites of spiny lobster blanketed in a creamy white almond sauce decorated with edible flowers. The weak link was the Santa Barbara halibut with daikon and nori, but even that was objectively good. It was just a little more muted than the other two, and the halibut was cut thicker and chewier than my personal preference. We went with the bone-in pork chop for our main course, and it was astoundingly delicious. The pork was so tender, so flavorful, quite possibly the best pork chop we've ever had anywhere. It came with coal-roasted apple, Swiss chard, and a sweet, vinegary sauce that tied everything together. We also ordered a side of grilled radishes with macadamia nuts and clothbound cheddar. It was, to my surprise, served cold, a lovely, unusual salad. For dessert, we ordered a small dish of sweet cream ice cream with blossom sabayon, light and aromatic, a great way to clinch this wonderful meal. We spend a lot of time in Montecito and can't wait to go back to Little Mountain. We'll be back for that hiramasa and pork chop at the earliest opportunity.
