I usually really like this shop and shop here frequently but my most recent experience was pretty bad. The customer service was basically non existent. I brought a couple friends in from out of town and we were not greeted at all when we walked in, however while we were there I was interested in a traveling bar set which the woman behind the counter told me wasn't for sale. I mentioned that there was a price on it and she brought it down for me to look at. I thought it would make a great Christmas gift for my boyfriend and noticed that there were a few others on the other side of the shop, but higher up, that I liked a bit more. The employee told me she wasn't able to get them down at the time, which is fine, but then I was offered no other option... Maybe to leave a number to be contacted when they could be taken down? Or even a time that would be good for me to check back to see if I could view the item then...? I usually like to shop local and most likely would have bought there but because it seemed like the employee has no interest in helping me and making a sale over $100, I ended up buying online that same evening instead. I am not writing this review to throw someone under the bus but if I was a shop owner I would like to know if my employees were basically being paid to sit and stare at walls and nothing more. read more

Best little gift shop on Main Street in Placerville! You can tell each item is carefully curated. It is my go to store for birthday gifts, cards and fun things for myself! I love to check in from time to time to see what is new! Such unique and lovely options for all gifting ideas!! The owner is delightful and friendly! There is a darling little play area tucked away for children and toddlers. This little shop is a gem and you'll find something for everyone on your list right here! One of the best spots on Main St Placerville! Quirky gifts, pretty things, delightful objects and lots of fun things to look at. Friendly people and the best, best, best part: an owner who, not only didn't shame me with his eyeballs for bringing a toddler (okay, two toddlers) into his store, but had a secret special kid-friendly area complete with books and toys and crayons tucked in the corner that kept them occupied for all the time I spent in the store. I tell you, after spending the better part of the afternoon on Main St, I dropped some dough on only this shop, not only because they had the most worthy items, but because it was the only place I could look around without frantically trying to get my kids to not knock anything over. Such a fun store! Lots of unique and fun items, whether you're shopping for yourself like I was, or gifts- I definitely intend to come back when looking for cool gifts for my friends and family. The owner was SO friendly and kind, and patient with my three year old! Despite being full of small/breakable items- it is absolutely kid friendly! They have a little hidden play room full of toys and books to entertain the kiddos while you shop- my daughter loved it and was it bummed that we had to leave, lol. Pretty cool little place. I emphasize "little" and it's pretty packed with stuff. I found a couple albums, one of which I had been searching for so I was pretty pleased. She revealed that her husband raids the Heavy Metal from them before she puts them out which was a little disappointing. read more

We were about to wrap up looking around downtown Placerville, and dropped into this shop. We're very glad we did. It's a super cool store - packed floor to ceiling with cool, interesting things. Vintage and new mixed, old records, art cards, jewelry, camping items, shaving supplies, fermenting kits, polaroid cameras and supplies, incense, kids stuff ... So much cool stuff, very reasonable prices, and the owner was really nice to talk to. It's a tiny shop, but I'm pretty sure we spent an hour in there shopping, and I'm sure there was more cool stuff tucked away somewhere that we missed. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Placerville. read more
