The portions are definitely huge and good for sharing, they have a lot of combo with full meal and drinks with affordable prices! Everything is so spot one! I'm obsessed with the pork chop and popcorn chicken and the beef noodle soup was soo tender and flavorful! The noodles were very chewy and not soggy perfect amount of seasoning for everything! Their drinks are spot on as well! The service here is amazing! They get really busy but the lady that helps us out was very nice and very outgoing! The ambiance is casual and cute. They have a little cute tree with lights and plenty of seating inside. Also have plenty of seating inside. I will definitely comeback here! I'm glad I found this place in Irvine ! What I got: Fried Squid balls Fried Fish cake Fried sausage Braised pig ears Boiled Vegetables Cold cucumbers Popcorn chicken with rice Pork chop with rice Spicy Beef noodle soup Spicy wontons with noodles Chicken leg with dry noodles Old Fashioned Black Tea Jasmine Green Tea

Been wanting to try Kingchops and we just happen to be in Irvine to try it for dinner. Parking is…read morerelatively easy, but can be difficult with the amount of restaurants and businesses in the plaza. It's a very small restaurant, with limited seating. They've definitely maximized the amount of seating in the place. The wait is relatively quick though. Service is quick friendly. Price is very fair for what you are getting and it's nice. Food wise, definitely get the porkchop rice plate. It's well cooked, seasoned and a good balance with some rice, noodles, veggies, and protein. I would pass on the braised pork rice. The pictures on the menu and on the displays made it look so appetizing, but what came out was just average and not like the pictures. Definitely fell victim to the in-store advertisements. The pork was okay, small portion, but I think it's fair for price. A lot of rice too. The popcorn chicken was also good, good amount of seasoning, well cooked. Portion size was a decent and good snack while you eat. Teas are also good. The black tea in particular is strong and has an herbal grass jelly taste to it, while the green tea is lighter and more refreshing. Good place to eat for a nice casual meal.

It was 20 minutes away from the Pacific View Mortuary so we decided to come here after my husband visited his dad... GREETED UPON ENTRY! Quite nice and loudly by a nice lady! I believe I only saw ladies working in the restaurant which is pretty cool! Women power!! SPICY BEEF NOODLE SOUP: 10/10 I love the TENDONS so much!! They were nice and TENDER!!! Not chewy at all! The flavor of the broth is good and not too SALTY or SPICY so you can easily adjust it if you need more Salt or Chili oil...Better than SHANGS in Las Vegas in my opinion!!!... SPICY WONTONS: 9/10 The wontons were small and fell apart easily but, the sauce was DELICIOUS!!! It was such a TEASE because it was a small dish that was PACKED with so much flavor so I finished it as REVENGE!!! Mwahahaha!!!!... BEAN CURD WITH ASSORTED MUSHROOMS: 9/10 Loved the bean curds!!! I finished it too!!! There was only ONE MUSHROOM though so that's why I took off a point... SCALLION PANCAKE: 8/10 In not usually into it. My husband loved it and it reminded him of ROTI... PAN FRIED PORK DUMPLINGS: 9/10 It was nice and juicy! The portions were HUGE!!! Definitely had to pack this one home to finish it later... SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT!!! AMBIANCE was nice! The tables were set per close to each other towards the front of the restaurant so there wasn't much room to walk in between tables. It reminded me of the walkway that's similar to being on an AIRPLANE!!! If you are a Big person I would recommend sitting at the tables towards the back because there's more SPACE there!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND TRYING THIS PLACE !!! A & J RESTAURANT MAKES YOU WANT TO COME EVERYDAY!!!!

This has long been our go-to for Taiwanese comfort food, and while the flavors weren't always 100% authentic, they hit the spot. However, our recent visits have been disappointing. The restaurant has become incredibly "penny-pinching" with their service. I was recently told there would be a $1 charge just for a sprinkle of scallions and another $1 for a small side of clear broth for my dry noodles--requests that were never an issue before. Furthermore, when we ordered extra noodles for my son's beef noodle soup, the original portion seemed intentionally smaller, defeating the purpose of paying for the add-on. Between the degraded service and the "nickel-and-diming" atmosphere, it is no longer worth the 30-minute drive. The vibe has changed, and the pleasure of dining here is gone.

Not my kind of food. :) Spicy pork paste over noodles: very good. Ham fried rice: good. Golden Prime beef noodles soup: very spicy and tasty. Southeast Asian Seafood Noodles Soup: very good, with a hint of basil, lime, and some chili pepper. Several types of xiao long bao: good. Definitely a must return since everything was delicious. They don't have many table to seat large parties (3+) they mostly have bar seating and the booth seating is pretty tightly packed so just a heads up that if you have a larger party you might need to wait longer. Luckily I got sat in their few middle tables that were spacious. I was able to order quickly and the workers are nice and gave me recommendations. Passion fruit green tea and this was definitely my favorite thing I ordered that day the drink was so light, refreshing, flavorful, but not too sweet the passion fruit seeds being in the drink was annoying though. (4/5) Spicy XLB they came out quick but I wished they were hotter they were just warm but delicious flavor and filling sadly was not spicy though no kick no heat at all. (3/5) Beef rolls nice and crispy lots of scallions and the cucumbers added a nice fresh aspect and crunch but needed more sauce. (3/5) Pan fried dumplings took the longest to come out were crispy but not that flavorful again very filling though. (2/5) Golden prime beef noodle soup I'm sorry but this was just not for my taste at all I can't even describe what flavor the soup was something I have never had before very unique. The noodles were nice and chewy but again I'm expecting soup to be hot but it just came out warm. (1/5) They had some sauce and chili oil on the table and I made a mix but it did not help add flavor to any of the items. I ordered too much and the leftover beef rolls and pan fried dumplings reheated well in the air fryer.

I would say we had 0 misses -- we would order everything again. If I had to really pick, the chicken dumplings + orange chicken + beef roll would be my go-to order. The beef noodle soup + xiao long bao + dumplings if I was with more people because it's HUGEE!! I forgot which fruit tea I ordered, but it was SOO good & refreshing - 10/10! We came for early dinner and the place was pretty empty so I was able to get a full video clip of the restaurant. We ordered our usual beef rolls, scallion pancakes, and beef noodles. The beef noodles with eggs was the first dish to show up. It's slightly salty for my taste, otherwise it's decent. The scallion pancakes were very layered, probably one of the best looking ones we've ordered. The beef rolls were also one of the nicest presentations I've seen. They were perfectly wrapped and not a single green onions or cilantro fell off. Service was excellent. Granted there was only one wait staff but he was very attentive and observant. I saw a black dot on my plate, he immediately went to get a new plate for me without me asking. He constantly came to check on us and add more water. Overall, it was OK. It does have a huge variety of selection. Next time I would like to try more dishes and maybe skewers too.

The interior is super…read morebright and welcoming, and most of the staff are ajummas, which honestly gives it that comforting, homey Korean diner vibe. You can tell this place has a strong base of regulars too, I saw a mix of friend groups and families casually walking in like it's their go-to spot. We ordered the cold noodles combo with jokbal (pork hock) for $30.95. Portion wise, it's SOLID for two people. The cold noodles were refreshing and really hit the spot, especially if you like that clean, slightly tangy flavor. The jokbal was very decent. Not bad, but if you've had it in Korea, you'll notice it doesn't quite hit the same level still totally "usable," just not standout. Value, this is where they win. We got full off just one combo, which is rare these days. Plus, all the usual Korean side dishes are complimentary, and they also served a warm bone broth at no extra cost. I've honestly never had that offered like this before, and it made the whole meal feel extra comforting and homey. Small detail, but I also appreciated that the table was already fully set up with bowls, utensils, and water which makes everything efficient. Overall, really solid experience. It actually gave me a bit of that Seoul nostalgia, which is hard to replicate. Definitely coming back to try more dishes.

My naengmyun came out shortly after the banchan, and I was so surprised by how big the portion was! It had a good amount of meat and cucumber too. It was so much that I was able to take home half. I look forward to coming back and trying more dishes out!
