While I was at work today, my Panera app sent me a notification. Perfect timing because I was starving. I told the husband we were getting Panera for dinner tonight. We when to the grocery store and I placed an order in the app for pick up. This location was packed tonight. Turns out there was a fund raiser going on. No big deal! My order was ready to go and I just needed to get it... but I couldn't find it. Turns out they were so busy inside that all the in app orders were packed behind the counter. Again, no big deal! I saw my name on a bag and waved for an employee's attention. She gave me a big bag and a drink and I was on my way through the crowded restaurant and lobby to have dinner at home. Once we got home, everything looked perfect - except I forgot to ask for my crunchy cinnamon bagel to be cut ahead of time. No worries! I have a bread knife and I cut it myself. I asked my kids how their food was and my son couldn't be bothered to say any words because he was eating his mac and cheese up! But he gave me a thumbs up! My daughter was quite happy with her order (half Mediterranean green with grains salad and a half chicken chipotle avo melt) except she wished she ordered a whole sandwich! My husband got a whole toasted Italiano. I got a half chicken Fuji chicken salad and a half grilled chicken & avo BLT. My husband is about 3 bites from finishing his Italiano when he stops eating and pulls out a long hair from his mouth! My daughter and I do have long hair, but we were not handling his food and the color and texture of the hair is not like either of our hair. He immediately threw the rest of his sandwich away and stated that maybe it was because the restaurant was so busy tonight that this happened. While that may be true, and I can attest to the full lobby of customers and seeing the employees moving about so quickly to prepare food (witnessed this as I was looking for my prepared order), it ma be better practice to wear hairnets so avoid hair in customers' food.
This is usually a busy Panera. The food is just about the same as other Paneras. Our favorites for breakfast are the soufflés and avocado toast. Try the avocado toast with the aioli on the side. I think it tastes much better if you control the amount of aioli. Since it is pretty busy the service can seem slow after you order. Sometimes the pickup area has a bunch of folks waiting, but they have a pretty good order board. So you'll have a better idea when your order is ready for pickup. Order before you get there and then eat in. They have lots of tables, to include for groups. The outdoor tables are pretty good too. There's parking lot traffic but it's not noisy.
PLACE IS *FILTHY*!!!! I would have taken more pics but---I think these few say it all. I went in at 1100 on 10/9. Just five hours after they opened and every single table that was empty had piles of napkins and crumbs and trash; eating area was FILTHY. Counters--FILTHY. Soda machine floor--was puddled with syrup/juice. was there anyone trying to clean? ABSOLUTELY NOT. The manager said "we're too busy to clean". I told her--"This place if filthy and it's just as much a part of customer service as filling orders." TOTALLY UNSAT--People--avoid this Panera at all costs.
I really like Panera, but sometimes it's a hit or miss. I've had Mac where it's almost entirely cheese, or it's mostly bottom of the barrel noodles. The service is good, and the vibe is nice, but all in all it's about the food itself, and the food is inconsistent.
In the past year I've tried to give this location the benefit of the doubt.. First there was a long curly hair in my salad. Then my rapid pick up order was stolen within minutes of me getting there. Next my order had specific simple instructions that were clearly ignored. Lastly order stolen again!!! I completely understand it is of no fault that the stolen food from the shelf is not completely their fault however, it should be monitered more closely. Waiting 35 more minutes to repeat an order that originally only took 8 minutes is ridiculous!!! I won't give this location another try unless they fix all these issues!! I tried! Update: called and spoke with "Tonie" a "manager" who wanted to argue the length of time my daughter waited all the while I was in the phone. Once we looked in the bag there was no whole Frontera which we ordered, there was no cream cheese which we ordered 4 different ones. Requested extra mayo on the turkey blt as pictured I must be blind! And this must be the only panera where the b in blt means bread instead of bacon!! There was mac and cheese which we didn't order! Thanks for my refund for this horribly wrong order. Won't return
*DOUBLE CHECK YOUR FOOD FOR HAIR* So! the manager, STU, at this panera location does not take care of cleanliness or correct customer service guidelines and this is why.. Our salads were ready to be picked up and I grabbed it and get ready to eat with my wife and I see a hair in my salad just laying on my chicken and she couldn't believe it, like why would that be there honestly? Could that be purposely because they think people won't notice just ready to eat or is this a genuine mistake, I honestly don't know! So I asked one of the employees if a manager was available and he left and came back to tell me that the manager was out front of the store on the phone, I waited about 3 minutes and finally was like okay, let me just go outside and tell him about the hair in my salad. I went outside and told him and he got off his call, came inside and I showed him that I hadn't even began eating the salad yet and their was a hair chillin on my salad, he says oh I'm sorry I will throw it out and make a new one for you, I'm like ok? As he was walking away with my old salad i mentioned how good the salad actually looked and I'm really bummed and I hope the next one he brings me will look just as good if not better, because in most cases people will get annoyed and just make the second bowl out of frustration and it might be made a bit careless the second time, and he said oh definitely I got you. I was like ok cool. He brings me the salad back and he's like this one is brand new! I'm like okay, and let me tell you that this salad was halfway full this time, had like 2 pieces of avocado and the first one had a healthy amount if not more avocado in it, so when he brought me the salad I was like oh man, I was afraid this one wouldn't look as appetizing and he's like oh it looks good right and I looked confused at him and said no, the first one looked better minus the hair and he's like oh yea that first one was more full right and I said right, he said I can bring a handful of more salad for u, I was like oh no don't worry about it at this point, and I'm thinking to myself how annoyed, hungry, frustrated and agitated I'm getting by this type of service, I will just eat what you've brought at this point!! So he leaves, then as I'm leaving I go outside to my car and I see another employee outside and I asked nicely, what is the process that you all take when someone has hair in their food, the employee immediately said we are supposed to refund it as a courtesy and remake it for them and offer anything else we can to accommodate our customers. I said wow, okay and what if that didn't happen when I spoke to your manager, Stu, and he didn't do any of those accommodations for me. The employee said honestly, I would recommend you call our corporate or HR and let them know. I said thanks for your honesty and left. So yeah, the manager there BY THE NAME OF STU doesn't seem fit for the job and if you look at how the kitchen floor is, you can get a good idea of how he takes care of his customers and cleanliness. It's bizarre that even with people who have ServSafe certifications they don't know the basics of up keeping a clean environment and having good customer service with paying customers. So unfortunate and very upsetting as u can see I've left a very long and detailed review of my experience. And from the rating I can tell other people haven't had a much better experience either lol much better paneras out there than this location!
I honestly feel like this franchise owner does not care about cleanliness, training the staff, or anything you may expect from a Panera. I wish I hadn't paid in advance. I was grossed out by the level of visible dirt and mold on the drink machine. It is not hard to clean because I was able to wipe off the buildup on the handle with just the brown napkin they had. I have very strong health concerns about this specific location.
They gave pickles 2/3 times . Everything else was good. The Turkey bravo sandwich was great love the bread
This was a take-out order. Not fresh & off-putting. Cold, frozen sad salad.. this wasn't worth my money. I understand if you don't want to waste it, but it could be a health concern if it went bad. The edges of the vegetables were losing color, the chicken was too cold, and there was no taste to anything. Trust me, you'd know If a salad wasn't fresh.. You decide.
Love this Panera location in Merchant Plaza across from Lake Ridge Auto Care and next to Safeway! Allie Weeks and the entire team here are great! They're all so friendly, fast, accommodating, and usually spot on with getting your order right as long as you spoke clearly! The pastry supply is never hurting here. They always have everything they promise. With ample Indoor AND Outdoor seating there is always a table for you as well! Thank You Panera Bread Lake Ridge!
Too bad there is no option for no stars. Very inefficient. Staff not in any hurry to make takeout orders. Slowest service of any place I've gotten anywhere in a long time. Only came here because my kid wanted it. After all that waiting they still got the order wrong. Won't return.

Food is always good. Convenient location. Andrea Wright, Manager, also prepares salads and sandwiches. I asked to speak to the manager and she approach's me. She wears a face mask and I asked why she wears it with her nose exposed. I don't know her reason, and she loudly, in front of customers, told me to mind my business and I had no right to question how she wears her mask. And walked away from me. If people wear masks, they should be worn correctly, covering the nose as well. She wears her mask below the nose. I value my health, I am immune compromised and I wear a mask daily. If she is wearing a mask, preparing my meal, I would expect the mask to be worn properly. On the other hand, she refused to listen to me, yelling out loud, "God Bless You." She was disrespectful and rude talking the way she did to me, a customer, and in front of other customers. She proudly and loudly told me to report her to corporate. read more
The Creamy Tomato Soup is so delicious and hearty. I had a very fresh Plain Bagel with cream cheese. These two things are my comfort meal! But the best was the Pecan Braid for dessert! It was so fresh and flavorful. I wish I could eat one everyday! read more

Was excited to try the new flatbread. Would not recommend ...reminds me of cafeteria pizza form high school . My food was also delivered lukewarm and it didn't have and sauce drizzled like on the pictures. The flatbread looks pretty though read more

I ordered delivery through the app and received my order an hour ago, the delivery man for whatever reason broke the Panera tape seal and ripped open my bag. I don't feel safe eating it (especially during the pandemic), so I tried to call Panera over 10 times, and they have failed to answer each time. I tried to leave a review through my email order notification by clicking on the star rating at the bottom, and it only swiped away my order and gave me a notification that the app was down for maintenance....The app was working perfectly fine outside of the 1-star link. I tried to call the customer care # on the app, it notified me that the lines were closed every time I tried to report an issue, even though I called within the customer service hours. I was only able to get through to someone by connecting to an associate regarding the "Coffee subscription" -____- It seems like this company is avoiding issues/negative reviews. This sucks. Can't say that I trust eating here again. It's a shame, because the salads were actually made well this time....Now I have to drive over there, which defeats the whole purpose of delivery to begin with.... Edit: I'm upping it from 1 star to 3 stars, because the employees are nice here, and the nice cashier went out of her way to offer me a free pastry for the inconvenience, which was sweet of her. Edit: Eh, I'll give 4 stars, because it wasn't the employee's fault, they were extremely kind and accommodating without knowing the hassle I went through. Lol Plus I'm sure they've been working hard. Also I just liked the vibe of the cashier, and on my way out, another employee told me to "Have a nice day" on her break. It's the little things I suppose...Thank you :) read more

Can't believe I'm giving a Panera more than 2 stars. Oh well. Great location. This place was packed with people! We came on for breakfast. Breakfast menu ends at 11:30am FYI. We ordered 2 Egg White Avocado Power Sandwiches! "Egg white, a thick slice of Vermont white cheddar, fresh avocado, fresh baby spinach and tomato on freshly baked Sprouted Grain Bagel Flat." Boom! How amazing does that sound? It was delicious. If the avocado is done right, it INSTANTLY makes ANYTHING yummierEST and they gone done it right today. This Panera actually had Ice Coffee at the soda fountain area which is great because I didn't have to make my own watered down version, which is what I usually have to do. This is a big deal for me because I'm an ice coffee dranker. Booyah to that. They have outdoor seating with cushioned seats for your booty, umbrellas if its raining (like today), PLUS it has a wall for your privacy. Employees were super friendly. Overall GREAT experience. The wait took FOREVER though. read more

There is a female employee who refuses to pull her mask up to cover her nose; her nose is always exposed. This is against the public health mandate in Virginia. I have mentioned this several times to both in store management and corporate, and she's still allowed to work around food and people (less than 6 feet away) with her nose exposed. The bathroom is always disgusting here. Usually one of the two stalls is unusable, it smells awful, and there is never any soap or paper products. The cheese flatbread took over 20 minutes, and was the worst thing I have ever tasted. Even my kid wouldn't eat it. I threw most of it out, and it left a terrible after taste in my mouth for hours. read more
