This location is a joke. Went Saturday morning just before breakfast ended. Waited in the drive-thru line 15mins, still hadn't made it to the speaker box/window to place an order. Drove off and went to a smoothie spot down the street. Placed an online order a couple of days later. The order was prepared on time and picked up. Open the box to find the wrong order. Called back to the store and was told I could have a refund for the incorrect meat choice on my next visit. I wanted my order corrected the same day, not a refund. That wasn't happening due to the fact I had 10 mins left on my lunch break. I can't fathom why this particular location can't seem to get it together. If they are out of items when an online order is placed, why isn't this reflected on the menu?? Or if theres a delay in the menu update, why cant't the customer be notified? read more

I used Panera's mobile app to order for the first time and ordered the "You Pick 2" combo option. I had half of a Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt (smoked pulled chicken, smoked Gouda, avocado, cilantro, Peppadew piquant peppers, and chipotle mayo on black pepper focaccia) with added red onions, tomato sofrito, and spinach. I also had a cup of Turkey Chili and a dinner roll included with my meal. My entire meal was $10.08, including my free cinnamon roll (usually $2.89) that I received for signing up with Panera rewards for the first time. I didn't care much for the dinner roll, but the chili was absolutely fantastic, very hearty and meaty and full of veggies and beans. The half sandwich did not have much of each topping, but it was the right amount to prevent all the toppings from falling out of the sandwich with each bite. The cinnamon roll is about the size of my hand and delicious, not too sugary, but sweet enough. The only complaint I have is that the pick-up area for mobile orders is not obvious to locate and it is not clear when the order is ready. Being my first time, I had no idea if I was supposed to wait to be called at the pick-up area (which I later discovered is separate from the mobile pick-up area). I had no idea when my order was ready because I did not receive a notification. However, once I finally found the spot to pick up my order, I realized that it was sorted into brown paper bags in alphabetical order. read more

Super friendly staff! Food came out fast with hot food hot and cold food cold. 2 salads and 1 bowl of soup. Initially, no spoon with the soup, but a simple miss. Asked for one and it was dirty. Asked for a replacement and it was dirty also. Asked for a plastic spoon. No dressing with the salads. Was only allowed 1 per large salad. Went back with another person to get additional dressings. Overall if the cutlery had been clean and appropriate dressings with salads this would have been a 5 star. read more

I love Panera but every time I got there is always something missing which is why lately I've been taking my business elsewhere but when they can't even put chicken in my chicken salad and when they can't even make my coffee that I ordered or can't even put my cinnamon roll in the bag that I mobile ordered like I just can't take it anymore they really need to step up their game at least Mcdonalds has everything in the bag. Tried the Panera Drive-thru. They need just a little bit of work. Ordered soup and a bagel. The line was long and moving at a snail's pace. I dont know if the others in the line were not familiar with the menu or just indecisive, but each car seemed to take longer and longer. When I finally got to the window, my goodness, they started working on my order as if I hadn't ordered it 10 minutes prior at the electronic voice box. So I then realized what the problem was. I ordered a tomato soup and a bagel both of which dont require any other prep. I hope they get it worked out, I love Panera and I want to utilize the drive thru option without crazy delays. read more

After living in Raleigh since 2005 my wife and I have fallen in love with Panera and especially the banquette and bagels, but this was not a good experience service was very slow and employees seemed like they had no clue what was going on we stopped by on Tuesday in Raleigh a dozen bagels are on special but we learned that Raleigh is corporate and this location is franchise and they do not honor this special well personally I do not care I did not like the way we had to. Wait a long time to even get service and then have two employees act like we just dropped in from mars before some management person came out and made us feel like fools so when we are travel to hickory we will never stop at a Panera again thanks to the poor customer service and do not stop by location in Clemons they have only parking spots for compact cars what a joke unless you drive a smart car read more

Today (9/10/19 at 11:20am) whoever made our sandwiches today did such a phenomenal job, it was by far the greatest sandwich I ever tasted, and I generally order the same sandwich Everytime I come here (which is also always a 5-star taste) but today in particular they took it from amazing to perfect. A great place to eat, lovely atmosphere, and the best steak and white cheddar sandwich around. The customizable kiosk made it perfect. Would give a 6th star if I could. read more

I placed a rapid takeout order for a Greek yogurt parfait this morning on my Panera App. Which means I paid for my order when the order was placed. Arrived at the store waited 35" finally was told they did not have the granola but added extra fruit. Good Soup & Sandwich place to eat. Good location since there are so many stores in the area. And they have free Wi-Fi which is a big + for people on the go like us. I do consider them to be overpriced for what you get. And I am a Ketchup & Texas Pete kind of guy which they don't have? Got my drive-through order incorrect, despite the fact that I made no substitutions to the menu item AND the menu item was listed as completely plant-based (the one I received had chicken). When I called to see what could be done, I was put on hold twice and finally reached the manager who told me I would need to bring the item to a location and get it remade. They did not offer to deliver it or give me a refund. I called the location closest to me to confirm and not only did they refuse to deliver (I was not in a position where I could go pick it up) but I was hung up on. This is the third time a mistake like this has been made with my Panera order but it's the first time I've had to go so far out of my way to get it fixed. Panera is a good place for an occasional breakfast. It is pricey but flavorful and sandwiches are hot and good. They are on the small side, however it is closer to what a good serving size should be instead of the whompus size us lardbottom Americans demand. Lunch at Panera is a good way to get something different. Salads and soups are good and sandwich menu has variety. I have found them pretty consistent chain wide. read more

Food's great (now). However, they've incorporated a new self-ordering kiosk ordering system in addition to simply going to the counter and interacting with a real person. The kiosk is so overdone and non-descriptive. For example, on the kiosk, when ordering either a half or whole sandwich/flatbread, they ask if you want 1 or 2 as opposed to "half or whole." I've been given the wrong soup then attitude when requesting the right one, been told they don't do warm cookies just to come and see warm cookies another day, they run out of items hours before closing regularly and the management is just poor. I'm only giving two stars because the nice young man that took my order today. After leaving Florida it was a comfort to know there was a Panera here....until the above. I've decided that I hate Panera. Not because of their food or service. No, I hate Panera for the very basic reason that they are just too damned expensive. There was a stretch of several months when I ate at Panera nearly every morning before begining work, but my employer was reimbursing me for food so the price didn't really matter to me. I enjoyed their pastries and breads and sandwiches and other items. The bear claws, pumpkin muffies, tiny quiche-like things and the Bacon Turkey Bravo were all favorites. They were usually quite good, and occasionally delicious. Then, I found another job and no longer had my free meal ticket. After a few visits to Panera on my own dime, I decided - I hate that place. Take my most recent visit: I went to this location on a weekend morning. Breakfast Power Sandwich, OJ, coffee, pumpkin muffie (muffy?). $10+. TEN FRIGGIN' BUCKS! And the "power" sandwich is less than an inch thick and 3" by 4" across. It's roughly the size of a typical doughnut. The pumpkin muffie is tiny even by muffin-top standards. I think the "power" of this sandwich is in its ability to infuriate its buyer to the point of near-rampage on sight. And they have the nerve to present this diminutive sandwich on a plate roughly the size of a cafeteria tray. Food, 6/10. Value, 2/10. Overall, 4/10. read more

I had a work luncheon for take out today. All of the orders were accurate and the employees went above and beyond in packing all of our condiments. Pantera is a bit pricey for an everyday meal and is not like it was ten years ago. The bakery items are good, but a little pre-packaged in quality. I'll eat it in a pinch, but prefer true home style or fresh prepared restaurant fare. read more

Watching the front line where the bagels are displayed...the guy wiped his nose then wiped his eye then started making someone's food. Wearing no gloves. No wonder they have a 90 rating. Always love getting a bagel and coffee at Paneras. At the previous location, you ordered at the bakery counter and within minutes, got your toasted bagel and cream cheese. So far at the new location, the order for a bagel goes back to the kitchen and eventually you are notified your bagel is ready. It took 20 minutes the first time and about the same my second visit. This seems very inefficient to me and in addition, they are always out of cream cheese. The new location is wonderful but I miss the efficiency at the old location. I'm not sure why a toasted bagel order has to go thru the kitchen. Think I'll go to Miller St. or Clemmons location from now on. read more

I decided to grab a last minute dinner for myself and stepdaughter. I was not only thrilled to place it online, but that it showed it would be ready in 5 minutes to pick it up! I must say I was skeptical with the estimated pick up timeframe, but I decided it would be worth a shot to see. I am so glad that I did. It was ready and bagged when I arrived!! HUGE KUDOS for not only exceeding my skeptical expectations, but also the food was delicious and fresh! I ordered the broccoli cheddar soup with a side of French bread and 1/2 macaroni and cheese. The soup had the perfect ratios of soup to chunks of broccoli and gooey, cheese sauce. The macaroni and cheese was made fresh with four times of cheese with spiral pasta and cooked perfectly. My stepdaughter also loved her macaroni and cheese with a 1/2 Caesar salad. The lettuce was crisp, nicely chopped and served with a creamy Caesar dressing and Parmesan cheese. I was beyond amazed by the food and even more after meeting the friendly, hospitable staff also. We also enjoyed dessert with a cheese Danish and chocolate cookie which were not too sweet and still soft! I can't wait to go back soon! read more

I gave one star only because the manager grudgingly decided to replace my wrong order from the day before. I hadn't tried this store since they moved from their old location and now had a drive-thru, so I thought I would try the drive-thru. As I approached the ordering window, there was one car behind me. The drive-thru menu stated "All bakery items are available through the drive-thru." I asked for 6 bagels. The attendant replied, "Wait, let me go check on that!" She was gone for at least a full minute or more. When she returned, she said that she could take my order and took it. I also ordered a sandwich on a bagel. When I asked for this, she said, "OK, let me go put that in!" Again she was gone for a minute or more before returning and completing my order. By now there were 4 cars behind me. I finished my transaction and when I arrived at my office, I was disappointed that my sandwich was on wheat bread rather than the bagel I had requested. I returned to the store today to see if they would make it right. Initially, the cashier looked puzzled when I brought the mistake to her attention, until I asked "So you don't want to do anything about this?" She turned to the manager who was filling an order for a dozen bagels and he asked "So do you want another sandwich?" I replied that I did and the cashier took my order. I explained my drive-thru experience to the manager, and he initially said that the cashier from the drive-thru probably was checking to see if they had the bagels that I wanted. When I explained that she left before I told her which bagels I wanted, he said she was probably stalling because the drive-thru has to fill orders for the whole restaurant. I told him I was just making him aware in case he wanted to make some changes to streamline the drive-thru experience. His reply? "Not really!" If you use this location, bypass the drive-thru, or check your order carefully before leaving the window. read more

I am a major fan of Panera. I give four starts because there is always that one employee almost anywhere you go but on almost every occasion my food is good, service is quick and friendly. Once, a friend and myself stayed about 30 minutes past closing and we were never asked to leave.
