Grand opening today! I was greeted warmly. Lot of different sandwich items, salads too! They offer shakes, coke products water, tea etc. Located by Burke Mill and Stratford Rd in Winston-Salem. Near Academy Sports. Tell them John sent you!

It was a new place and we were craving a sandwich. It was clean and had really cool decor. The service Jaray gave was excellent! I could feel all of his potential in life he was cleaning the tables after he cashed us out and brought us our soup and banana milkshake! My husband and I sparked up a conversation and he was extremely professional and polite! He has great potential and is going to go far in life! He really made our entire visit! The food was so so wasn't really impressed with our wrap or sandwich. The milkshake on the other hand was delicious! I'm really giving it a 5 star for Jaray's customer service!

This was a last minute choice my wife and I tried. We loved the decor and the staff, especially Jaray, were very helpful and polite. Truly some awesome people. Plenty of parking. The banana pudding milkshake was incredible. Highly recommend. Unfortunately the sandwiches were not that good. My Prime Rib Steak Sandwich was very fatty and I did not like the flavors very much. My wife felt the same way about her Southwest Avo Chicken Wrap. Choices were made regarding seasonings and flavors and we did not agree.

Just opened a couple weeks ago - got to check it out today. My rating is all about the taste. The taste is 5 stars. That sandwich is good - yum. Like can't wait to go back. Some other things are clunky. App didn't let us pay to finish - just spins with cute pot belly icon. Tried a dozen times. Ordering a bit clunky - you order your sandwiches, salads and shakes at first gap - but only the bread, meat, and cheese you want - rest gets handled in next gap. You can't see your sandwich or toppings - so that part is hard. They forgot cheese on my salad, used a nasty tomato with stem, but those are rookie mistakes. Salad is good quality, the banana pudding milkshake was fire, and the prime rib sandwich is memorable. Staff here is super, place is cool inside, and it's in the Academy Sports plaza. This place will do well - go check it out! Great job Potbelly and welcome. Look forward to seeing you hit your stride. Food is delish!!!!!!!

I ordered the…read morechicken quesadilla and loved how many topping options there were to customize it exactly how I wanted. It also came with chips and salsa, which was a nice bonus. My friend made her own salad and really enjoyed it too. The food tasted fresh, the atmosphere was fun, and the restaurant was clean. The staff were also super friendly and welcoming. Definitely a solid 8/10 spot if you're looking for "build your own" options, tacos, quesadillas, or burritos.

We have plenty of eateries in W-S offering Mexican cuisine or Mexican-influnced foods, and I think…read morethat contributed to my reluctance to visit Taco Mama until recently. While not all of our local options are great, we have a reasonably large number of options that are good enough to make them regular stops for me. Taco Mama is not going to be on that list, I'm afraid, based on my experience thus far. The facility itself seems fine, though the ambient noise level was rather loud (likely influenced by all the metal and concrete). But the food, the feel, the service and the value just don't compete well with all those other places we have to choose from. The unhelpful attitude of the clerk taking my order didn't start things out well; she seemed genuinely annoyed about being there, and that attitude carried over into her tone when answering my questions or prompting me for info she needed. Also on the service side of things, I had to stop the waitress from throwing away my food -- a plate over half full -- after I'd walked not more than ten steps away to refill my drink. [She apologized, but only after I had to confront her twice; still don't understand why "don't throw that away!" could have been confusing.] The burrito and beans I ordered were edible, but so bland that I might as well have been eating packing materials. The accompanying chips were warm, but the cup of salsa was quite possibly the least appealing salsa I've ever been served in a restaurant. I've had Taco Bell food I've enjoyed more than this. And yet I had forked over almost $20 for such a disappointment. Maybe it was an off-day. Maybe the tacos are the way to go here instead. But I don't think they offered even a hint of a reason for me to try Taco Mama again any time soon.

The reasons are it is often crowded and ordering becomes a hassle in their drive-thru, the chicken sandwich is the smallest of all chains, and I prefer the sandwiches at KFC, Popeye's, Bo Jangles, and even Church's, and Culver's has a nice sandwich. Since Popeyes threw down the gauntlet in Aug 2019 with the introduction of their now famous chicken sandwich, all the national and regional chains now offer their version, as do many local restaurants - check out the BYO at Bad Daddy's, the hot chicken at Bossy Beulah's, the fried chicken at Alex's in Lewisville, and there are even more! I know Chick-fil-A is still very popular, the drive-thru lines attest to that, but CFA has slipped in the national popularity area, usually listed as definitely behind Popeye's & KFC, and being pressured by Raisin' Caine's and perhaps others. I popped in here because it was off prime time, customer traffic was light, and I was a bit hungry. I ordered the Spicy Deluxe and it was quickly out. This is a decent sandwich, and I enjoyed it, but it in no way changes my view about which chicken sandwiches I prefer.

Today I got the Mac & cheese, one thing I like about their Mac and cheese is that they always make sure you have a clump of that chewy cheese from the top of the pan The only downside I have found to this location is that the area traffic can make it a little difficult to get in and out, depending on the time of day. I do tend to avoid it when Sam's Club/Hanes Mall Blvd. is busy, for that reason, but that's not the restaurant's fault.

It's not bad by fast food standards but it's never really wowed me, and every place I've been to has always been a super long wait. Unfortunately this one wasn't much better and once again I was waiting a reaaallly long time for my "fast" food. It was a little busy when I got there on a weekday evening, but even considering I was still waiting an awkwardly long time. The manager there seemed to be keeping a good handle on things at least and was professional and polite, so kudos for that. If I really wanted Whataburger for some reason I'd come back here but only if I was ready for a long wait.

The teenage order taker came out from the kitchen area and just looked at me. I finally said "hey, how are you doing". He didn't really respond so I just placed my order. To say he was disinterested is being kind. I got my napkins and filled my drink. The condiment section was lacking salt, so I just went to my table. When the food was brought to me, the employee offered me two kinds of ketchup. Her tray did not have any salt on it either, so I had to ask her to bring some, which she did. Very perfunctory. The burger and fries were just barely warm. The fries tasted fine, but we're nothing to get excited about. The burger patties were thin, dry, and insipid. The toppings were just average. Again, the burger was on the wrong side of warm and did not taste fresh at all. There's just not much positive to say about my experience here this evening. WHATABURGER? Try WHATADISAPPOINTMENT.

And as for a double curse, at most of these spots, the prices go up as the portions tail off. I have found Jason's to be flying against these trends, consistently providing stable value and consistent flavor from a menu that is large and varied - with their full salad bar providing one of the very best values at any restaurant, national or local. On this visit, I was again picking up several items for a small family group. We chose fully loaded containers from the salad bar, a bow of chili, and a full sized Reuben sandwich. Once home, we split the items up for all to enjoy - nothing disappointed! This was a first try with the chili, and it was quite nice - plenty of well seasoned ground beef, no beans or onions, but was well topped with cheddar cheese! The Reuben contained 8 ounces of hot, tasty corned beef, great cheese, plenty of kraut, marble rye, and lots of 1000 Island Dressing. It was cut into the required pieces, and the additional dressing was shared - a bit messy but delicious in total. The center piece was the large amount of variety in the salad, and when well covered in the dressing this was great - not especially healthy with the amount of dressing I added! I'll be back soon as I noticed they are offering Beef Stew for a while - gotta try that.
