This was my first visit to Potbelly. I love a good sandwich and was excited to try theirs. I got my go to favorite, the italian. The sub comes toasted and the meats were tasty. They offer lots of fresh toppings. I was curious about the hot peppers so they put them on the side. They are very spicy so I was glad they put them on the side. I made it a combo and had chips and a drink. They have Tractor juice and lemonade which was great because I am not a soda drinker. The staff was nice and answered my questions since it was my first time. They have a variety of table seating and the decor is cute. Overall I really enjoyed it and would come back when I want a toasted sub.

Grand opening today! I was greeted warmly. Lot of different sandwich items, salads too! They offer shakes, coke products water, tea etc. Located by Burke Mill and Stratford Rd in Winston-Salem. Near Academy Sports. Tell them John sent you!

It was a new place and we were craving a sandwich. It was clean and had really cool decor. The service Jaray gave was excellent! I could feel all of his potential in life he was cleaning the tables after he cashed us out and brought us our soup and banana milkshake! My husband and I sparked up a conversation and he was extremely professional and polite! He has great potential and is going to go far in life! He really made our entire visit! The food was so so wasn't really impressed with our wrap or sandwich. The milkshake on the other hand was delicious! I'm really giving it a 5 star for Jaray's customer service!

This was a last minute choice my wife and I tried. We loved the decor and the staff, especially Jaray, were very helpful and polite. Truly some awesome people. Plenty of parking. The banana pudding milkshake was incredible. Highly recommend. Unfortunately the sandwiches were not that good. My Prime Rib Steak Sandwich was very fatty and I did not like the flavors very much. My wife felt the same way about her Southwest Avo Chicken Wrap. Choices were made regarding seasonings and flavors and we did not agree.

Just opened a couple weeks ago - got to check it out today. My rating is all about the taste. The taste is 5 stars. That sandwich is good - yum. Like can't wait to go back. Some other things are clunky. App didn't let us pay to finish - just spins with cute pot belly icon. Tried a dozen times. Ordering a bit clunky - you order your sandwiches, salads and shakes at first gap - but only the bread, meat, and cheese you want - rest gets handled in next gap. You can't see your sandwich or toppings - so that part is hard. They forgot cheese on my salad, used a nasty tomato with stem, but those are rookie mistakes. Salad is good quality, the banana pudding milkshake was fire, and the prime rib sandwich is memorable. Staff here is super, place is cool inside, and it's in the Academy Sports plaza. This place will do well - go check it out! Great job Potbelly and welcome. Look forward to seeing you hit your stride. Food is delish!!!!!!!

While not all of our local options are great, we have a reasonably large number of options that are good enough to make them regular stops for me. Taco Mama is not going to be on that list, I'm afraid, based on my experience thus far. The facility itself seems fine, though the ambient noise level was rather loud (likely influenced by all the metal and concrete). But the food, the feel, the service and the value just don't compete well with all those other places we have to choose from. The unhelpful attitude of the clerk taking my order didn't start things out well; she seemed genuinely annoyed about being there, and that attitude carried over into her tone when answering my questions or prompting me for info she needed. Also on the service side of things, I had to stop the waitress from throwing away my food -- a plate over half full -- after I'd walked not more than ten steps away to refill my drink. [She apologized, but only after I had to confront her twice; still don't understand why "don't throw that away!" could have been confusing.] The burrito and beans I ordered were edible, but so bland that I might as well have been eating packing materials. The accompanying chips were warm, but the cup of salsa was quite possibly the least appealing salsa I've ever been served in a restaurant. I've had Taco Bell food I've enjoyed more than this. And yet I had forked over almost $20 for such a disappointment. Maybe it was an off-day. Maybe the tacos are the way to go here instead. But I don't think they offered even a hint of a reason for me to try Taco Mama again any time soon.

They definitely have a system that's working for them. For some unbeknownst reason, I hadn't tried…read morethis place before; although, I've patronized all surrounding spots. Sometimes I'm in the mood for tacos. Last week I figured I'd give them a try & so glad I did! It's always a plus to see a high sanitation rating! The ambiance is festive & clean, even around the soda machines. The counter service was great. The team member was knowledgeable, helpful & patient. I mentioned that I was a first-timer. There's a large selection of great toppings to choose from. Fulfillment is quick & the staff is pleasant at handoff. The food is always nicely packaged & travels well - it's also good to ask what does. My tacos were filled with veggies that came with a free side, along with chips & salsa! My to-go box was topped off with some of the best light & crispy chips - even better when salted & warm (I found the salt factor to be hit or miss on orders). Side note, while some competitors give you a dab of queso, Taco Mama doesn't skimp. I've eating here several times before posting, and it's consistent. Hopefully, they'll continue to keep up the quality food & service. Oh, I should point out that my bill only included the meal & tax. You don't have to worry about the dreaded, dare I say illegal, cc service charge that some establishments are passing onto their customers.

I don't go to Chick-fil-a as often as I do other fried chicken chains or as often as I did when…read morethis restaurant was king of the chicken sandwich. The reasons are it is often crowded and ordering becomes a hassle in their drive-thru, the chicken sandwich is the smallest of all chains, and I prefer the sandwiches at KFC, Popeye's, Bo Jangles, and even Church's, and Culver's has a nice sandwich. Since Popeyes threw down the gauntlet in Aug 2019 with the introduction of their now famous chicken sandwich, all the national and regional chains now offer their version, as do many local restaurants - check out the BYO at Bad Daddy's, the hot chicken at Bossy Beulah's, the fried chicken at Alex's in Lewisville, and there are even more! I know Chick-fil-A is still very popular, the drive-thru lines attest to that, but CFA has slipped in the national popularity area, usually listed as definitely behind Popeye's & KFC, and being pressured by Raisin' Caine's and perhaps others. I popped in here because it was off prime time, customer traffic was light, and I was a bit hungry. I ordered the Spicy Deluxe and it was quickly out. This is a decent sandwich, and I enjoyed it, but it in no way changes my view about which chicken sandwiches I prefer.

Today I got the Mac & cheese, one thing I like about their Mac and cheese is that they always make sure you have a clump of that chewy cheese from the top of the pan The only downside I have found to this location is that the area traffic can make it a little difficult to get in and out, depending on the time of day. I do tend to avoid it when Sam's Club/Hanes Mall Blvd. is busy, for that reason, but that's not the restaurant's fault.

The menu is primarily hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, NC style BBQ, and of course, milk shakes. Until recently there were no spots that had any inside seating, but this is gradually changing. They are known for the small building with drive thru lanes on both sides, and this plus the congestion surrounding many of their locations can make getting in and out a challenge, though this one in not as bad as many! The burgers and chicken sandwiches here are far superior to the offerings of any national chain l, with the possible exception of a properly staffed and operating Culver's - the one in Winston is not one of those, the one in Kernersville most certainly is. The number of locals spots that rival the offerings here is very small. I ordered each of my favorite items here - Bacon Cheeseburger and the Crispy, Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich. The time in line here are generally a bit longer than the larger chains, but still around 10 minutes. The burger was excellent and well sized as alway, these folks just know how to make a great burger. And the crispy, spicy chicken sandwich is as good as anyone's, including the cult one at Popeyes! Only the BYO at Bad Daddy's is possibly a bit better, and definitely is bigger! I have found the food at Cook Out locations to be consistently excellent with very few bad experiences. And as for a double curse, at most of these spots, the prices go up as the portions tail off. I have found Jason's to be flying against these trends, consistently providing stable value and consistent flavor from a menu that is large and varied - with their full salad bar providing one of the very best values at any restaurant, national or local. On this visit, I was again picking up several items for a small family group. We chose fully loaded containers from the salad bar, a bow of chili, and a full sized Reuben sandwich. Once home, we split the items up for all to enjoy - nothing disappointed! This was a first try with the chili, and it was quite nice - plenty of well seasoned ground beef, no beans or onions, but was well topped with cheddar cheese! The Reuben contained 8 ounces of hot, tasty corned beef, great cheese, plenty of kraut, marble rye, and lots of 1000 Island Dressing. It was cut into the required pieces, and the additional dressing was shared - a bit messy but delicious in total. The center piece was the large amount of variety in the salad, and when well covered in the dressing this was great - not especially healthy with the amount of dressing I added! I'll be back soon as I noticed they are offering Beef Stew for a while - gotta try that.
