Based on my research, the cut of meat that is used is USDA Choice, not Prime, and is cooked by the "Sous Vide" method by "suppliers", whoever they are! The meat is shipped to the individual restaurants, where it is cut into bite size pieces, and finished there, either in an oven or an air fryer, depending on whats available. There is no info available how long a time can elapse from the initial cooking to the serving, same with their roast beef. This follows their approach for the signature roast beef, it is shipped cooked to the individual sites and reheated. I chose to try the sandwich, which has nuggets, Havarti cheese, crispy onions, pickles, and mayo. This is not a good sandwich - the meat was dry and chewy, and because the meat is cut into "bite size" pieces, the sandwich is awkward to eat, meats pieces keep falling out, making this more effort than I care for! And I simply don't get the Havarti cheese - cheez! I will not order the Steak Nuggets again - probably worked reasonably well in a well controlled test kitchen, but out in the fast food world dominated by underachievers, this is a recipe for culinary disaster. I would suggest that you go instead to Texas Roadhouse and get the kid's Steak Bites.

The Beef 'n Cheddar was nothing like I remembered. The roast beef was sliced much too thick, and it wasn't served on the usual onion roll. Overall, the sandwich didn't taste or look the way it should have. Looking back, I wish I had asked for a refund. We spent about $25 on our meal, and for that price, I expected much better quality. Another part of our visit was equally disappointing. While we were eating, a homeless man came in and filled a cup with iced tea without paying. While I understand that he shouldn't have done that, the employee's response was unnecessarily loud, rude, and demeaning. She made him pour out the tea and get water instead, but the way she handled the situation was uncomfortable for everyone in the restaurant. A little kindness and discretion can go a long way. Anyone can fall on hard times, and treating people with respect costs nothing. Overall, this was not the experience I expected. Between the poor quality of the food and the way the situation was handled, I don't plan on returning unless significant improvements are made.

I got the cheesesteak with fresh cut fries, and after only a short wait it came out. The sandwich was absolutely delicious, and filled my craving. The fries were ok, not breaded like other places offer, probably a healthier fry (if there is such a thi The interior isn't huge, but offered a bit of indoor seating. I do not think they have any outdoor seating at this location. I've been to another local PS, and wasn't as impressed. This one had better service and my overall experience was better. I couldn't find anything online either so I decided to just give the Penn Station location on wendover ave a call before I headed out. The gentleman that answered the phone was very nice and helpful. He confirmed the Monday sub special is still available although it had gone up to $5.99..still not a bad deal. I went in for a pick up order and decided on the Philly cheesesteak sub with all the toppings available, including banana peppers, pizza sauce, and a little bit of mustard. I sat in the dining area until order was ready, everything was nice and clean. I waited about 7 to 8 minutes for my food. I ate my sub at home and when I unwrapped my sandwich, it was still nice and warm. The steak was seasoned really well and is pretty tender. The provolone cheese is basically melted over the steak and other toppings so it's contained nicely on top of a toasted hoagie roll that is also freshed baked. The small portion is also pretty filling for me. Thiis just a great lunch deal and one of my favorites.
