Excellent service...the owner met us at the door and safely guided us through the menu through Covid protocol. In town (as always) for a basketball tourney and always looking for different food choices, and this fit the bill. Fast, friendly, courteous service. The chicken pita fajita with onions was excellent and came with multiple choices of sauce. The food was fresh, hot and delicious overall. I just moved to High Point in February and I was really missing a falafel sandwich from New York. I ordered from one place and the falafel was decent. I find Pita Delite on Uber Eats on Tuesday 5/11 and today is the 3rd day in a row that we order Lunch from this spot. The lamb and beef gyro, outstanding it was fresh and the Tzatziki was really nice as well. I also tried the Chicken skewers and rice with a pita and salad. No amount of clicking my heels will get me the best International Cuisine in one Global Culinary location like Toronto. Sure I am biased but after travelling for biz to different NA locations, ethnic foods are not great in most places. The 3 best places for me are the Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver...yes...I am a home boy. Sure there is New York, LA, but who wants to have all the attitude and falsities to go with a meal? Pita Delite is a very busy place during lunch time. The line up is long and the kitchen is in full flight as the brigade tries to pump out food. The owner is at the pass throwing food around as fast as he can. I think I may have come at a time where someone ordered a mass of food for a luncheon or something. The owner was calling out numbers in random order and it was a long long wait. I ordered their first thing on their menu board - gyro on a pita and a salad. Let's do a comparison. Any choice of meat on a pita at a MeVaMe would be a massive sandwich that is stuffed to the max with dips, sauces, and veg. Who needs a side salad..?! Well, what I got was a dry pita with bits of meats, minimal veg, and dressing. The side salad was wilted and the small chunks of tomatoes has become less than salsa. One saving note, the sandwich tasted OK. As I was thinking this, I heard the cutting of elevator cables and my standards dropping down into places that should never be talked about! Yes...I have done it. I have lowered my expectations and standards to cope with my lack of tasty food. For those who biz travel, you know what I mean. You are dropped off into the burbs and have to fend for yourself. You desperately read reviews and bookmark them so you have a faint hope of getting a decent meal. In the land of steak and burgers, you stretch out with all your might for just to get a decent piece of sushi, a morsel of chicken tikka marsala, hummus to dip, babaganoush (no one knew what that was at work here...)...OH!!! My husband went here to get a rice and steak platter for me to go. I take great time in looking at menus and choosing places that I can get food at considering I'm allergic to gluten and dairy. The person that made the rice platter was ignorant to food allergies even after being told by my husband. Number one the online menu indicates no sauce of any kind on the rice platter. Number two my husband asked for no cheese or dairy. When he brought it to me it was covered in an orange creamy sauce of some type. The only reason why this place is getting 2 stars at all is due to the fact that they had excellent social distancing in place for Covid19. Aside from that I'm afraid it goes downhill thereafter. Firstly, huge plus for the chicken and beef being halal - great. (Steak are not halal). But it has to be edible too guys! We ordered the chicken kabob platter with a side of salad (did not taste fresh) and fries (overly salty - ridiculous portion size (8 fries roughly). The chicken served was two small pieces which appeared to be unseasoned. We thought we could get over the small portion sizes for what we were paying, particularly compared to other similar Middle Eastern / Mediterranean grills. And focused on the taste - this lacked also. Following on, we also ordered the beef gyro with sides of rice and the worst hummus ever! The hummus - oh God I do not know how you could even make it tasting this bad. It was completely inedible. The rice was ok and probably the only decent part of the whole order. The fountain drinks tasted terrible; if the restaurant is reading this, please could you clean your drink machine out maybe the taste would be better? They have a clean establishment and are very quick with orders. You place your order at the front register and are given a number and your glasses for drinks. Pick and seat and prepare to wait very little time while your dishes are being prepared. The portion sizes are ample, and will not leave you wanting for more. You really can't beat the prices for the quality and quantity of food. My go-to dish is the Pam's Chicken Platter, which is listed as a hot salad platter. It comes with grilled chicken and sautéed onions, mixed with feta cheese, Greek dressing and fajita sauce. It comes with a side of warm pita bread. It's so great! My wife is a big fan of this restaurant so she knew exactly what she wanted. I ordered the crab salad pita with fries. After waiting a short while, we received our food without issue. After the first bite, I could see why my wife loves this restaurant. It was delicious. This visit was a success. I am not in this area often, but I would love to patronize this restaurant again. This place is ok.... I got the mediterranean veggie platter and it was good. Portion size was good; not too much not too little. The cucumber yogurt sauce and hummus, was bland an uneventful. The spanakopita was average and a little greasy. The salad was great. The falafel was delicious( I don't even like falafel.) the grape leaves appeared to be canned. Did not look or taste, homemade or fresh at all. The pita bread and fries were good. They're more like potato wedges. Their onion petals were awful. They were dripping with grease, and one big blob. I went to a food truck festival today. I waited in line at this food truck with a line of more people behind me. When I got to the front of the line, directly in front of the window, two women were just standing there. A man asked me how I was doing, and I said I was fine. He then went back to cooking/expediting orders. That was the only exchange...I waited for someone to take my order, and finally told them, "I'm waiting for someone to take my order." The man said rudely, "I've already asked you for your order four times." Let me make this clear--NObody had asked for my order even once. Pita Delight's website describes it as Lebanese with an American twist. Maybe it makes sense to locals, but in you're visiting from out of town like I was (this place is surrounded by hotels), just know that it's Lebanese like Pizza Hut is Italian. It isn't a twist, it's a full reimagining. They have kind-of falafel, but it comes with fajita sauce so you'll want to swap that for cucumber sauce (the closest thing they had to tahini). No tabouleh, no fattoush, no baba ghanoush - your side choices are fries or chips. They also have chicken salad, crab-and-sweet-corn soup, and a host of other non-sequitur menu items. It seems to be the only vegetarian option in the area, and has better kids options than surrounding restaurants. The staff was definitely friendly. Just don't come expecting anything resembling Lebanese and you'll be fine. read more

This place is so inconsistent. I kept coming back because I love falafel but it's just not worth it. More times than not it's a waste of money because my order is never right. I called to place a Togo order, the guy on the phone cut me off about my order and acted like he knew what I wanted. I requested no olives, this is my frequent battle, the standard is one olive and mine was full of olives. No bite was salvageable. Not to mentioned this falafel was soaked in grease. I'm guessing their oil was not hot enough or this was left over from a lunch rush. I either get olives or do not get hummus on my falafel pita. I've been argued with that hummus does not come on it when it is clearly stated on the menu or they try to charge me extra. Again, not worth the hassle. What a fabulous & fun lunch spot! I brought my 3 year old and my inlaws here for lunch while they were visiting us from NJ. This place was PACKED at noon (thankfully we snagged a booth by the window) but table turnaround time seemed quick and efficient considering most of the diners were on their lunch break. Ordering is quick at the counter; they are polite and helpful with the menu and they call your number to be picked up or if you're lucky like we were, a very nice young man brought ours to our table. I enjoyed the grilled chicken pita with salad; everything was fresh and tasty. I was full but not stuffed. My 3 year old didn't appreciate his grilled cheese to be served on a pita so next time I'll make his lunch and bring it along. No worries and that didn't effect my rating at all. This place is a win!
