The service at the pick up orders is terrible but what do you expect? The black lady that runs the counter is very rude and unfriendly never smiles even if you say hi she doesn't say anything back! She acts like you are just bothering her! Don't do that job if you're not happy with it! And if she's supposed to be the manager hire better looking and friendlier people! The only person I like at that counter is that manager maybe he's a general manager ..that's it! Hire better people! And they're always moving so slow, but the customer service needs to change! He is always greeting guests, sweeping, preparing orders, refilling coffees, and setting a great example for his staff. This is what I would consider to be a pretty safe Panera. 1 Star because there is no zero-star option. Experienced a week-long debilitating illness shortly after eating the Fireside Chili here on 10/8/25. Duly reported to Health Department & to PB corporate. PB corporate communication was limited to the Customer Care chat, until I got frustrated & escalated my 'heads-up/ FYI to protect the public' to a formal demand. Claims rep then reached out & demanded that I cease contacting corporate, & that I personally locate and send them the HD report as well as repeat everything I had already told the HD inspector on a claim form. When I refused to do their work for free, Claims said they could not proceed with my file, & I have not heard from corporate since. I never got so much as an actual corporate rep reaching out to me or was even refunded for the meal. I have recently requested to close my Rewards account. Just an awful experience all around after years of loyal patronage of Panera & in particular of this cafe location; cannot in good faith recommend given my experience. read more

This is hard to write, love this store and the staff, been a customer for almost 20 years and know some of the staff just as long, they are friendly, helpful, courteous and consistently fun to be around. I went here because I had a friend mention to me she liked Panera more than corner bakery, so after years of not having Panera, I went back. I couldn't decide between the tuna sandwich and the veggie sandwich so I ordered half and half. Both sandwiches were ok to me but I was not overly impressed by either. I like the environment of Panera and the customer service is usually great but I can't say that I would rush back to Panera for a tuna or veggie sandwich. I was actually impressed. This was my first time ever at Panera's. I got a Chicken,Avocado,Egg and added Bacon. Wow. This was tasty and filling. For about $8. Not a bad deal. I think it had garlic aeolian dressing and some kinda red spicy peppers on it. All on a toasted buttered sub roll. Not sure what kind of bread but it helped make the sandwich so much better. This Panera is somewhat of a hot mess. I just moved here, but I'm a long time Panera eater. Especially during the pandemic, I was eating Panera twice a week sometimes. I used to go to the Addison location. I've been here about a month and every time we come here, they make some mistake, whether it's in our order or in the food. I've seen a large variety of different reviews on this location. I am honest to say that my service has been quite dependable and extremely thorough for every order I've had as a regular here. There seems to be a steady flow of tasty, hot food even during the busy lunches I've seen at this Kingery Highway restaurant. We visit Panera a lot, though not this particular location. We stopped here when we had a narrow window of time (40 minutes) between kids activities. Our group consisted of 5 separate parties of one or two, 3 groups used the kiosk while 2 waited to use the register because they had an allergy order. After being ignored at the register for 10 minutes one person spoke up and an employee came over to take there order, but snipped first, "you know it's going to be 30 minutes before your foods ready right?" Of course, no one mentioned this to any of the rest of us so we all had already made orders.. Panera is supposed to be fast and healthy, a typically with good service. It's hared to believe this is location is allowed to keep the Panera name. Incredibly slow service and screwed up order. The manager pretty much lied to me and said my order was being taken care of "by three people." But Uber Eats had indicated me 10 minutes earlier that the order was complete - where it got that info (from the store??) - not at all the case. And even with "3 people" working on my order, it still took another 10 minutes for them to complete the order. Not that they gave me anything like what I ordered in the way of bagels. I ended up without what I wanted and some bagels I definitely did not want. A call to the store to resolve the mixup? No dice. No one actually answers. I was shorted 4 bags of chips and 1/2 Sandwich (part of take 2 combination). When I called the location they took a long time to answer and I had to work my way though an automated switchboard. When my call was answered I explained that items were missing from my delivery order and I was told that I would have to speak to a manger "to see if I would QUALIFY for a refund." WTF? After a long time on hold, I had to explain to the manager that my order was incomplete. After he decided I qualified for a refund, I was given two options: (1) go to the store to get the refund or (2) they would mail a gift certificate to be used another time. I ordered delivery because I didn't want to go to the store so I opted for the gift certificate. We'll see if I ever get one.... It must happen a lot because it all sounded scripted. They continually update their menu, and I tried there new(er) Mediterranean kale/quinoa salad and a half tuna salad as part of their 'you pick two' deal. The half salad for this meal was enormous!! I enjoyed it much more than anticipated too. It had quality ingredients. The tuna salad sandwich was a-ok too, with a generous portion of the salad on a wheat bread. Every so often I get lulled into thinking that a bowl of soup or something from Panera would be good because everything looks nice online especially when searching for some "comfort" food. I always forget how mediocre the food actually is. I don't know if it is this specific Panera, or Panera in general, as it is the only one I've ever ordered from. Today I got a strawberry-banana smoothie, broc mac n'cheese, and the new Thai soup. As far as smoothies go it gets 2.5 stars. It was on the thin side and as tasted more of yogurt than fruit. It was okay but nothing outstanding. Mac n' cheese was not good. I don't think it's possible to overcook macaroni any more than they did this pasta without turning it into actual wallpaper pastel It reminded me of baby food, LOL. It was also pretty flavorless. Only good thing was it was hot. 1 star. (If you want good fast food mac n cheese that isn't overcooked and has flavor go to Chick-Fil-A). The Thai soup was okay. It had a nice level of spice to it (not too spicy but nice and warming), but kind of an unidentifable flavor? Sort of like Thai soup but without having that "oh my gosh this is delicious" flavor. Soup gets 3 stars. The bread that came with the soup was actually the best thing I got ha ha. I have to remember not to do delivery from here. I don't mind paying a lot for smoothies and mac n' cheese etc. if it's good, but the prices are way too high for mediocre food. read more
