I typically LOVE Panera! And food wise it was still bomb. But the service at this location and the portion was just OK. Took a quick trip to Indiana and made a pit stop at Panera to grab a bite to eat. The 1st lady at the register was nice. She advised it was her 1st time up front so I give her grace. I asked if the butternut squash soup had dairy in it. She wasn't sure so went to ask someone. It took a while, so another lady came to the front, looked right past me standing at the counter and ask the gentleman behind me if she could help him. He kindly motioned to me and said has she been helped and the lady shrugged and said how can I help you. I advised I was waiting to find out if the soup had dairy she said shrugged and said idk and stared at me. Finally the original lady came back to the front and advised it did and completed checking me out. The food & tea was delicious per usual but there was only a tiny bit of tuna on the sandwich. My bf came in and we decided to order smoothies there instead of going to the smoothie place around the corner. The smoothies took foreverrrr. I watched the guy make one and put the other in the blender but walked away and never blended it. Finally I walked up to the counter and someone asked was there something I was still waiting on. I advised my smoothie that was just sitting there. She shook her head and had someone complete the order right away. I wouldn't return to this Panera location.

Pick two-- Mediterranean Bowl, Cup Cheddar Broccoli Soup and a Baguette. Water to drink.
Connie S.

A great quick meal on this cold rainy day! Have you tried the Mediterranean Warm Bowl? Delicious as well as healthy, plus very filling. The Cheddar Broccoli Soup is always a good choice when it's cold outside and overcast. I got water as my drink since I'm trying to increase my water intake this year. Karen who waited on me was very helpful and friendly! Plus my food was ready in less than five minutes. Other than a couple wrappers that fell off someone's tray as they walked past them it was clean inside. Very busy today and great for people watching.

Pretty consistent with every other Panera. I got a full Caesar Salad with no meat and an apple for a little over $7. The dining room is closed however so we used drive through. Our order was simple but it did come out very fast.

If I could give it zero stars I would. I went on a Sunday afternoon so it was busy I'll give them that, but that shouldn't be an excuse for the wrong order. I got a latte that tasted very burnt and had chunks in it. Then traded that out for a prickly pear, it was watered down and tasted like old lemonade. I ordered a chicken sandwich and ended up with a steak sandwich. She repeated my order to me twice and I still got the wrong sandwich. I called them to see if they could give me my money back and the manager said "call back when we aren't busy" i wouldn't be calling in the first place if my order wasn't bad and wrong. I am still a customer even though I am not in line anymore.

Joke of broccoli soup for "group of 4 serving"
Jodi K.

Want soup? Go to target/Kroger/Meijer ANYWHERE besides Panera. Their "group" serving is nothing but a gimic. You can get this same amount from the grocery store for $7.99. Meanwhile Panera charges you $18 for a "group of 4". What "group" are you using, Panera? Will never recommend your business to anyone. Even for a smoothie.

Bacon turkey bravo

The food at the Panera here tends to be pretty standard for what you'd expect from any Panera. Most of the time the portions are good and fresh. The bacon turkey bravo and Asian sesame chicken salad were good and hearty this time. The service used to be on the slower side but they have really improved wait times over the last few months. Parking is easy but cleanliness inside and in the restrooms sometimes are questionable and yield the lower rating.

Well i love Panera because the greatest food and awesome personnel, but this location in Whitestown is not god except for the cashier that makes my wife difficult order accurate 100% but coffee was cold, what a waste of money...and sides are not in my bag, so I'm back to kitchen counter and notice little bit of actitud from it, and she badly throw inthe bag 1 not the 2 missing sides not apology or eye contact.

Chicken BLT + Green goddess salad pick 2
Madeline Z.

I love the vibe and decor in here, definitely feels like an independent cafe or coffee shop, not the regular Panera. I personally enjoy the tablet/kiosk order option. It makes me feel like I can take my time clicking through the menu and I'm more comfortable making substitutions. My green tea wasn't nearly as flavorful and sweet as I normally have at other Panera locations. The Greek goddess salad dressing is absolutely delicious, it's so bright and fresh. The bacon pieces in the salad were fatty and white so I picked them out. The chicken was tender and the pickled onions had great flavor. While the food is good, I think it's a little overpriced for a counter style lunch.

Low rating for lack of service not food. Despite several attempts addressing this problem in the store it just persists.

I was the only person at the counter, and there was one person sitting at a table. There were three employees behind the counter. My order was simple, just a sandwich and side of mac & cheese. I sat down at the nearest table and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally I went back to the counter, thinking maybe my order hadn't been sent to the kitchen. I approached the same employee who had taken my order, and she asked if I had ordered. I said yes, and she looked confused. I reminded her of what I had ordered. She talked to another employee who looked around and found my order sitting with a couple of other orders. He did apologize for letting it sit there and said they should have called out my name. My sandwich was good but not hot like it would have been if it hadn't been left sitting.

My husband (active duty Marine) and I were visiting from North Carolina and I brought him here because this location used to be one of my favorites when I lived in the area. Unfortunately, this visit did not reflect the Hoosier hospitality I used to associate with this restaurant. None of the two employees we primarily interacted with were wearing name tags. For clarity, I'll refer to the brunette employee with glasses as "Sally" and the bearded employee wearing a manager shirt as "Mike." We arrived around 11:30 AM. There was no line. While we looked at the menu for a few minutes, we were asked if we were ready to order three separate times in very quick succession by the same two employees. This alone wasn't a major issue, but it set an awkward tone. When ordering, Sally asked if I wanted a drink. I showed her the water I already had and declined. She handed me a large cup anyway (we were not charged). When I attempted friendly conversation and mentioned we were visiting and that this location used to be a favorite of mine, she did not respond beyond a brief "okay," and did not engage further. My husband ordered a lemonade, which employees fill. He stood waiting with his empty cup while Sally walked away without taking it. Mike then came out and said he would get it after delivering food, but rolled his eyes while saying this. That behavior from someone in a management role was surprising and felt unprofessional. During our visit, Mike personally ran food to nearly every other table and checked back with multiple guests about food quality and satisfaction. Despite making eye contact with us multiple times, he never checked on our table. Notably, our order was the only one he did not run. Sally brought our food instead. She appeared unsure where it belonged, walked around the dining room briefly, then brought it to us. I thanked her and received no response. Throughout our meal we observed Sally looking toward our table multiple times from the counter area and quickly looking away. Mike continued to check on surrounding tables but avoided our entire row of booths, including ours. To be clear: the food quality itself was very good. The concern here is the inconsistency in guest interaction and the professionalism of the service experience compared to other tables around us. As someone who recommended this location based on past positive experiences, this visit was disappointing and honestly a bit embarrassing since it was my husband's first time visiting. I'm sharing this because this location clearly has the potential to be great again, but the service experience we had does not currently match the quality of the food. Edited by CGPT to fit the allowed character limit Photo because I know manager Mike will remember the guy he was clearly so irritated to have to help.

However, each of the items we ordered had excellent flavor. I would come back again purely for the fries and beer. Might need to scout the table options in order to identify where we would prefer to be seated for a more comfortable dining experience.
