Panera is reliably good. I often look for one when traveling. Stopped in the Waynesboro, VA store tonight. This Panera exceeded my expectations. Service was quick, the cashier very helpful & pleasant, and the staff I interacted with was so courteous. I'll keep coming back!! read more

This is a brand new restaurant as I write this review, so they are still working out a few kinks. The one I hope they fix really soon is seasoning the dishes, especially salting the pasta water properly, because you just cannot add enough salt to already prepared pasta, and it isn't healthy to do that way, either. I had one of their pasta dishes and it was fixed perfectly al dente, which was a treat--but bland-bland-bland because of the water not being salted. The consistency of the pasta was excellent, done just right. I also had french onion soup, which was tasty. My husband had their BBQ salad but didn't care for the salad dressing & said he would choose something else next time. I should add that he is very difficult to please with salad dressings. We are going to give them some time to work on seasoning their food up to par, then return. The atmosphere is great, wi-fi is nice to have available for figuring out which movies to see or rent while we munch & chat. The staff was cheery & very attentive, and the restaurant is clean & cozy. read more

The place is super clean and great customer service. Plenty of space in dining room area food came out quick

Love Panera Bread's food and have never had a complaint before but this particular store had the men's restroom cleanliness you'd expect of a truck stop or 7-eleven. read more

We stopped here for lunch in our travels and was so pleased to walk in the door and see a "kids corner" for my son to play after having been in the car all day. I would recommend they clean the toys, but it was so nice to sit and eat at the table while he played. Fast service, wasn't crowded at all, and food was great. We will stop here again! read more

Panera Bread - Salad Near Me - Waynesboro, Virginia

Our bagels were barely toasted at all and unfortunately our green tea tasted very watered down and just off. The service was slow but polite. read more

It is extremely clean and big. Perfect for large gatherings. Even the couple sitting next to me didn't bother me because the tables are not right on top of each other like some Panera's I've been to. My soup was lukewarm. It was good, and edible, but I'd like it piping hot like soup should be. That's why this isn't a 5 star review. read more

Service and personnel were fine, but upon locating a table I discovered ants on the tabletop. Also, there was no sugar for the drinks. I spoke to the manager and was told the facility had a health inspection about 2 weeks ago. I also was told they try to clean the tabletop frequently. Try harder as I will not be back again. read more

This is the worst Panera bread that I have ever visited. After multiple bad visits, today's sealed the deal that we will never be back. My barbecue chicken flatbread barely had any chicken on it and one giant chunk of mozzarella cheese, not to mention onions and spinach that were not supposed to be on the sandwich. My wife's chicken salad sandwich takes the cake. See the photo attached below for evidence of the fact that there was literally one piece of chicken on the sandwich. read more

Panera Bread - Salad Near Me - Waynesboro, Virginia

Great customer service... when they have enough staff on hand... which is rare. It's such a large location space that they really should at least aim to have sufficient coverage during peak times. read more

unacceptably Slow service....one person working the front trying to do it all., cashier, pastries, bagels etc: if I had known where else to go eat in the area, I would've left. Food did come out quicker than I expected. It's a large, clean location but not sure I will return. Ps the food was up to Panera standards read more

We just went through the drive through at this Panera on a road trip. We decided to hit the drive through since we didn't want to spend time standing in line inside. We ordered a slightly complicated order. We pulled up and literally had paid and had our order in about one and a half minutes. The restaurant was also super busy inside as it was lunch hour. They got or order 100% correct and also gave us substantial portions of baguette. The lady working the drive-through was also SUPER nice. I'm highly impressed with this Panera! Best I have been to! Thanks for the great experience! read more

I love Panera as a rule, am a regular, but this site can't get an order right to save their souls. How hard is it to put chicken on a salad that calls for it in its name? EVERY time. And when you call there's always an excuse, rarely an apology, just an offer for free pastries. No 5hanks. read more

Great food and great service no matter what I have brought I have never been disappointed

Nope. First no bagels??? They had a sign on the drive through that said "Sorry, no bagels". Isnt that like Burger King saying "Sorry, no burgers!"?? Second, they were out of other breakfast options as well. Ok, so I ordered a sausage breakfast sandwich, and pull up. 5min go by, 10min go by, 15 min and I gave up and left. Never a glance, never a "sorry, we will be right with you". Avoid read more

I was in line at 1020 but only one register open and we were several guests back. When Zi got in line to order my breakfast wrap I was told is was now 1032 and breakfast ended at 1030. And there was no give on extending the time since I was in line. This place is incapable of understanding customer service and I strongly recommend you go anywhere else. read more

Always a pleasant to come by. The only Panera Bread that has a play area for kids. Plenty of room for people. Never tight.

We went in an hour before close on the way back home from Tennessee to Richmond. Sadly they were out of the Chicken Tortellini Alfredo, the manager refunded me back my purchase and apologized profusely. My friend enjoyed her food though and said it was good. The place was pretty clean, and staff were pretty amazing - so despite not having anything to eat myself, it was a great Panera. read more

This is the best Panera I have ever been too! It's huge, had a kid play area. They served their baguette bread warm and was so fresh! Soup was hot, team members were so friendly would highly recommend this one!!! read more

The staff is awesome! Portions are terrible. I got half a sandwich and substituted avocado for turkey since I'm a vegetarian. It was $5.59, tiny and I didn't even get a side which I realized once I got home.2.75 really... read more

i like panera but this location is absolute garbage. i give them a chance at redemption every couple months or so, but i feel like going there to get a bread bowl is like a coin toss or something. honest estimate, 2/3 times i go there it's like "actually, we don't have bread bowls right now" & at this point i'm just done with it. huge disappointment, this location sucks & my only regret is that i can't rate lower than 1 star read more

The food was okay, but the service was horrible. The order line was ridiculously long and there was only one worker tending to one cash register. We saw other workers walking around and some who were apparently on break. When the order taker moved away from the cash register to get bread for a customer and another worker showed up--but just checked herself out and disappeared--I had enough. I spoke to the manager, Donita Hodges. Her response was just this side of rude. She made it clear that she didn't really care to hear from me at all, much less have to respond to criticism of the operations. She was not only off-putting, but she made little sense when she tried to tell me why they were so rude and inefficient--and the line just kept getting longer. Then I spied the assistant manager--eating! He was very happy. He clearly likes Panera's food. When I asked him why he wasn't out in the store, helping, his response was equal parts stupid and smirking. He then jumped up from the table--and disappeared. I had one last brief conversation with the manager when I went to pay. She basically blew me off. This is no way to run a Panera's. It's no way to run any kind of food operation. The people who were managing the store today should be ashamed of themselves. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g58295-d4963336-r422258423-Panera_Bread-Waynesboro_Virginia.html# read more

The biggest Panera I've ever seen, it has a kids' toy area, and several dining spots (tables, couches, fireplace area).

This place is the biggest Panera I've ever been to. Since it is a chain I won't go into what is typical of a Panera. It is unique that it has a drive thru. What brought it down for me was the portion of the sandwiches are below what Panera normally is known for. I got the chicken salad and there wasn't even salad on half of my bread. My husband's turkey avocado blt was also very scant in the ingredients besides lettuce and tomato. This place is convenient right off the interstate. read more

This place is awful first of all the food took ages to even get and the macaroni which I had has absolutely no taste this has got to be the worst Panera I have ever visited and never plan to go back there again read more

Biggest panera I've ever seen! It has a drive thru as well. Fast and friendly service!

Very friendly staff, very delicious healthy and sweet food. Great environment and lots of space. Can't wait to have another meal here and if course, another bear claw!! read more

Horrible. I've given them so many chances and they screw up EVERY time. I've had no bacon on my sandwich, I've had missing utensils, I've been missing my side item, I've had them give me the wrong size of items, and every time I go there for a bagel, they're out. It's incredibly frustrating. They're A BAKERY! They should not be out of bakery items at noon! I work in restaurants and when we run out of something, WE MAKE MORE. My most previous visit, all of the above mentioned errors happened IN THE SAME VISIT. Unbelievable. I think I might as well give up at this point. This is the worst Panera I've ever been in. read more

I love coming to this Panera on my breaks at work! They always remember I get no ice in my drinks and I love the end piece of the baguette. A few employees have even apologized for not having any end pieces. The drive thru takes awhile most of the time (5+ mins,) but that's expected. This isn't McDonald's. Any problems I had with orders have always been fixed immediately with no problems. read more

I went to this Panera Bread today in Waynesboro and the service was excellent! Talyor who took my order was personable, quick and just a pleasure to deal with. Panera Bread should hire more employees like her, she is an asset to the company. I look forward to visiting again soon. read more

Down grading to one star. This place is absolutely awful. I don't know why I continue to come back. Ordered two basic breakfast sandwiches, no sides or anything fancy. Have currently been waiting 25 minutes and still no sign of food. Also took 10 minutes to even take our order despite the 4 people standing up front, only one person was taking orders, very slowly. Every time I come here my total is different despite ordering literally the exact same thing every time. One time I ordered a bacon egg and cheese and sausage egg and cheese sandwich from the drive through, when I got home neither had egg on them. Called in to let them know and was hung up on by the manager before I could even tell them what happened. read more

The food was fresh but didn't taste the best this restaurant is more if your a vegetarian not the best food but it is ok

I hate to be the one that says bad things about this place. But the service in this panera was really bad... I had to wait 10 minutes (and no one was busy in the kitchen) and it took them awhile to serve... So I don't think I'll be back to this specific panera... read more

Is the closest place to eat breakfast from my house...I stop there at least twice a week, every time we go there are new faces... I stop by this morning and wanted to buy the bagel pack ( to go)...the store Was once again short on the big cream cheese pack and they only had the small ones. The lady told that she is able to sell me the bagel but no the small individual cream cheese, because that is for customers That are dining in at panera, no taking it to go with the bagel pack. Request to speak with manager ( LESLI HESTON) told me exactly the same thing. So, if I want it to eat there it is cream cheese available but not to go....( this is a great example of how bad is their customer service)no counting any of the bad previous experiences we do had before in this currently year... read more

Good food, always clean, and a fantastic little play area to entertain the kids so parents can actually EAT!!!

I love Panera for a quick bite. I stopped by this store after a long and tough day. It was about ten minutes before closing time. Taylor greeted me at the drive thru and was so sweet and professional that she really turned my day around! Thank you Taylor!! read more

While I'm not obsessed with everything on the menu (and that's true for all locations of this chain restaurant), you can't go wrong with their soups or bagels and flavored cream cheeses. Love, love, love the broccoli cheddar in particular and they have it daily. The drive-thru is also a nice touch, I have not seen this at Panera in other cities. Service was good when I've been there as well other than a mix up with my bagel order once. I'm not much on their sandwiches and salads though and some of their sweets and coffees are a bit bland. Try the acai berry tea if you like fruity drinks. read more

Why would such a popular place have so few or such slow staff working during the lunch hour? Slowest one I've ever been to.

My family and I went through drive-thru last night and were told to pull ahead because they were waiting on mac and cheese to cook. Twenty minutes and four cars (passing us) later, I went in to see what the heck was taking so long. "We are still waiting on the mac and cheese". Needless to say, my husband went in and demanded a refund. Our food was finally given to us... cold. And, the mac and cheese tasted like it was out of a Kraft box. I would NOT recommend this Panera's!! read more

This is the single nicest Panera I've been to. The service was great; the food was excellent. It's tough to review a chain restaurant, they're essentially all the same, but this location is what I'll judge all others by. read more
