I used to come here often when I worked in the area a few years ago but we were passing by on the weekend and decided to drop in for a quick lunch. I ordered one of my favorite pick 2 combos and it was just like I remembered... half a chicken salad sandwich and a broccoli cheddar soup... love the chicken salad on the fresh bread and the creamy delicious soup... My fiancé had the French onion soup in a bread bowl and said this soup is better then he gets at some of the usual restaurants we go to... Got takeout there tonight and it was a positive experience.ordered 3 sandwiches,soup, and dessert and it was ready quickly and packaged well. The place is large and clean. We got the tomato basil BLT. The veggies were fresh, the bacon was fine, and the tomato basil bread was very flavorful. Goes well with the crispy potato chips. Also got the hot sandwich, Chicken Pesto ciabatta dipper with a tomato based sauce for dipping on the side. There was plenty of chicken, the bread was soft with a good chew. An enjoyable sandwich. Also got the cranberry walnut chicken salad sandwich which we got on sourdough, and this was also very good. Excellent bread, fresh chicken salad with lots of texture and flavor. Not much, good balance. Also got the creamy tomato soup which was fine. Finished with the coconut macaroon,which was small but really good. Will order from here again. read more

I am usually a big fan of this location in particular because the food is usually really tasty and fresh on quality! However this time I have seen some decline with the soup quality! I ordered for pickup asap the new steak sandwich and a cream of chicken wild rice soup but this time there was barely any veggies in the soup! And there was almost no chicken inside! Friday night I guess was a bad time to dine in here. My husband and I are really trying to give the restaurant in our area a chance but they keep disappointing us. We ordered using the self service machines and took our seats. The staff was loud and rude to each other. Very unprofessional, singing songs and yelling at one another including the manager. A lady walked in a while after we ordered and had to yell someone to take her order. I ordered a salad and they provided me no fork. After diving in, I notice a strain of blonde hair, I have black curly hair so it definitely wasn't mine. We didn't complain we just won't return. What's the point of having a sign that says don't get out of your car for curbside pickup, if the frail manager refuses to slightly lift your trunk door to drop it in your trunk? Not to mention despite coming 20 minutes after the order was placed, it still took said manager 8 minutes to come outside, while I parked had to take up a large part of the thin road. At a time of low volume. Also, despite selecting no utensils, they gave us EXTRA utensils and napkins. These things Im complaining about ARE minor. The note apparently said to talk to the manager. We call up and for the 2nd then they will not refund or correct the amount paid. They "credit the account" so I can get cookies next time. Ordered 2 tomato soups.. no croutons added. Side order of bread was not the same either. Sorry.. place is slipping, bad service. Refund your customers if you will not provide them what they ordered. If I went there for just a cookie and paid for it.. and you don't have it, I want my money back! I don't want to have a credit in file with you in the future. My local panera. It has decent staff and it's pretty clean inside. The front seating area is nicer than the back area. The back area has bigger tables for families. Here's some of my favorites: 1. Hazelnut coffee - full of flavor! One of my favorite fast food coffees. 2. Broccoli cheddar soup - my favorite overall item. This is warm, rich, and salty at times. I always get this and cannot get any other soup. 3. Asiago steak - tangy, fresh. The steak is tender and thinly sliced. The red onion can be a bit overpowering. Out of all the Panera's ive been too, this place needs some serious renovations. My sister and I came here after our kickboxing class and so we wanted to eat "healthy" but we had to change our seats a couple of times because the seat kept sinking in. The order came out pretty quickly to our table which was nice (even when we kept switching seats) and the food was okay, but just the space itself just makes this place one of the "not so good" paneras. We didn't have much staff interaction either (they just dropped of the food, not saying anything) and I ordered over the kiosk so I can't really say much on that. I probably won't be back (especially because it's pretty far and I have a closer one to me) but still, I'd rather take my food to go next time if I do and I recommend you all to do the same until they do some upgrades to their seating. read more

In my old tiny review, I mentioned that I would get more broccoli and cheddar soup in the future. Well, after taking a closer look at the sodium content, I decided not to anymore. So what did I order this time? Read on in the revamp, my friend. My parents and I came here for lunch. When we got in, we noticed that the self-ordering kiosks weren't operational yet. So we waited in line, and then the friendly employee behind the register took our orders. After that, she gave us a buzzer and told us that once the buzzer went off, we had to go to the pick-up area to claim our order. After a 8-minute wait, our food was ready for pick-up on trays. My father and I ordered the Creamy Tomato Soup in a Sourdough Bread Bowl. This creamy soup was mixed with red pepper and oregano, and topped off with three croutons. Some chunks of tomato were included too. We both agreed with what our relatives and co-workers said in regards to that soup. It tasted FRESH, HOT AND DELICIOUS!! Eating that soup out of the Sourdough Bread Bowl made the consuming experience even better. The bread itself tasted great, but ripping pieces and dipping them into the soup made the taste even better. When you're finished with the soup, you're left with the bread that tastes like the cream of tomato. In fact, when you're finished with any soup, you're left with the bread that tastes like the flavor that you had. We ate some parts of the bread bowl, and just threw the rest of that out since we were full. My mom had the bowl of Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice Soup. This contained regular and wild rice, pieces of celery, onions, carrots and chicken mixed in a creamy soup. She thought it was okay. We also shared a Asian Sesame Chicken Salad. This contained chicken, romaine lettuce, cilantro, sliced almonds, sesame seeds and crispy wonton strips mixed with a Asian sesame vinaigrette dressing. Even though this tasted fresh, we all thought that this was just okay as well. I had their hot chocolate to go along with my drink. This was topped off with chocolate chip marshmallows. I didn't taste anything unique about their drink. I didn't get a chance to eat the marshmallows since I was focused on my soup, and they dissolved. I should have ate that earlier, but oh well. Bottom line, that wasn't worth the price. Our meals came with a choice of a complimentary side, which included a baguette, roll, apple, or a bag of kettle cooked potato chips. We opted for the potato chips. Because we were full from lunch, we ended up taking those chips home. The amount in those bags didn't equate to a regular snack-size bag of chips. They tasted great, though! Apparently because we purchased a certain amount for lunch, we were able to buy a pastry for 99 cents. We obviously got a bear claw because of that fine deal. Overall, this was a very good lunch experience. We'll come back to this location for lunch and/or for more bear claws in the future. read more

This place usually gets picked during lunch hour but they have additional parking in the back. Panera has kiosks where you can order your food instead of waiting in line. It's so much faster. You can also order online ahead of time or right there if you have internet access. I use my Panera rewards card, I usually get a dollar off a drink, a free coffee, etc. One time I got a free salad. So you get rewards for using your card. My credit card Info it's Also stored so when I order from their kiosk I just swipe my card on my key chain and use my password to pay. No need to even open my wallet. I can even save my favorite drinks and meals so I can order them even faster. read more

It's a great response to long lines but also for people like me who may not have a clue of what to order. Panera is considered fast-casual, but I like how they promote clean ingredients and do not add any preservatives, colorings, or sweeteners to their food. The restaurant is well-kept, as usual. They removed my favorite soup from their menu which was their French onion, because it no longer met their requirements for clean food. I'm all for any food establishment that is committed to choosing healthier foods and overall transparency in their ingredients/selection, so I won't hold it against them. read more

I stopped visiting other Panera locations bc they were always filthy,smelly, and seemed to be poorly managed, however after coming to this location to pick something up for my boyfriend i quickly realized it was the exact opposite of all the negatives I just mentioned. I tried the new Steak and White Cheddar Panini at Panera Bread Company in Watchung on Rt 22 and I am impressed. The horseradish sauce gives it the right amount of bite. The onion and cheese play supporting parts in this creation. The hoagie roll was flat and a bit sad but what does a national chain based in Missouri know about our areas great bread. My wife had the broccoli cheddar soup and a salad which she enjoyed as well. The place is a store front café where you order and get your own drink. They have runners to bring your food to the table but it isn't waiter service. You bus your own table. All of the staff was patient and friendly. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting with a choice of seating from formed plastic chairs to cushioned booths to comfy leather armchairs. Prices are a bit steep for lunch but fine for a light dinner. Panera is worth a try. read more

One of the best Panera Bread locations around. Its located in a small strip mall, so sometimes parking can be a challenge. Its a smaller Panera, so sometimes, especially at lunch time, it can be crowded and you may not get a table. Aside from that, the store is very clean, the food has always been great, and the service has always been friendly and helpful. I placed a to go order tonight. They forgot one of my entree items. When I got home and noticed the error, I was told over the phone by manager Lauren that I cannot receive a refund for the missing entree. Instead I have to ask for a replacement item. How can this be any functioning store's refund policy? The "order checked by" line did not have a signature. Instead of trying to fix the error, Lauren gave me the excuse that they were preparing a lot of catering orders. Given a Menu with NO PRICE LIST,menu listed ONLY calorie counts. Guess all these patrons are rich. I am NOT a big eater and this food was way below par, sandwich not grilled all the way and cold. Salad OLD greens, three small cut triangled tomatoes, a few olives,crumbs for feta cheese and one slice of onion. Ate what I could...still hungry... I come here frequently because I work nearby and the service is always great. The employees are always happy to greet me and help me! I would like to point out the stellar employees... DAWN & KIM are the best! Management does a great job of making sure the place is running smoothly.
