emily is just the best! we come here a lot and she is always super helpful and my food is always great

what is the purpose of having a rapid pickup if you're just gonna leave the "rapid pickup" orders behind the counter anyway. sat there waiting for ten minutes because I was doing what the app says to do. read more

Panera Bread is a corporate love child of what a delicious sandwich/ soup/ salad/ cafe with pastries should've been. The concept is good enough, but the place feels a bit sterile and expensive for what you get. Today, I came for breakfast and got a soufflé and americano. My soufflé was basically scrambled eggs with a flaky crust. The flavor was fine, but soufflés are tough to get right. There is a fireplace and chairs to sit at to work, but overall the place lacks personality and authenticity that can be better achieved at an independently owned cafe. 3/5 for service, food, and value (food to dollar ratio). read more

I can't remember the last time I ate at a Panera but I had a meeting at this location recently. It's pretty close to the highway which was convenient for me. Upon entering, I was immediately very overwhelmed by the menu as it's massive and I wasn't sure how the Pick 2 combo worked. The employee who took my order was helpful and patient, but I'm still not really sure how the Pick 2 combo works. She basically said you can pick 2 items from anything on the menu, that makes sense. But when I asked if it would be half sized portions, she said that it depends on the item, and some sandwiches would be full size and some would be half sized. The reason I asked is because I just wanted a small meal so I was looking for half sized items. I wanted something light so I went with a cup of the chicken noodle soup and the southwest Caesar salad with chicken. The combo comes with a side (bread, apple, or chips) but no drink. It looked like you could order on some tablets and they also do mobile orders. For anyone wondering, the salad was a half size. Once you place your order, you're given a buzzer to pick up your food towards the back of the restaurant. My food was ready quickly which was nice. The seating area is cozy with some booths and tables. The food was just okay for being a $20 meal. The soup was basically what you'd expect from a canned soup, and the salad was decent but nothing spectacular, similar to a bagged salad mix you can get at the grocery store. There are lots of menu choices with some healthier sounding items. read more

Kassie was amazing! Accommodating as all get out. I was doordashing and spilling my drinks, she jumped immediately up to help me get an extra drink carrier to support the weight of the sodas. With a smile on her face and great attitude for hospitality. This woman needs a promotion, raise and a week paid vacay pls n thx! :) She is your asset! read more

I hate to say it but--GROSS! I have been here many times over the past 15 years, but it's been many years. I went in this morning and all of the tables were uncleaned, many still with dirty dishes and even the empty tables were covered in crumbs and spilled drinks. I ordered my coffee and it just didn't taste right. Not sure if it was the coffee, the half and half or the coffee urn. Either way, it was not good. On top of that, once I found a seat and literally cleaned it myself, I connected to wifi but the wifi was really rough-It took minutes to load each webpage. It took me about 5 minutes to arrive, be grossed out by my experience, pack up my bag and drive 30 seconds to Starbucks instead. read more

I'm typically a huge Panera fan. This location consistently gives out stale baggetts. Even worse... I tried bringing my 1 year old daughter to this location. I asked for an order of grilled chicken. The gentleman said they cannot ring items up a la carte. He said there was nothing I could do other than order and pay for a sandwich and customize It to leave off everything but the chicken while paying for the full sandwich. Super disappointing with the lack of accommodation for young children. Nothing on the kids menu falls within her whole food diet as a young child. We walked out and I question if I want to support this business again. read more

Both the "Bri" girls that work here I love seeing, their so sweet, and are always friendly. They definitely need a bonus or raise, so does the manager Amber. I came in on 3-4-20 @10:12 what a awesome crew. Always clean, always friendly, and fast! The way they make you feel for the day is just wonderful, and very helpful. Now that I'm on a first name basis, they have definitely earned my five stars, more like 10 in my book! Love That girl Julie!!!!! read more

The food we ate was delicious. We order the Mac & Cheese, two fruit cups, Deli Ham Sandwich, and a 1/2 Tuna Salad Sandwich. The service was very friendly and the food was brought out quick. The environment was calming and peaceful. I'd recommend coming here. read more

We were visiting from Illinois for Junior Gold and spent 8 days eating out for lunch and dinner and our only bad experience was at this Panera. I was waiting 15 minutes for my food while the employees were chatting and enjoying their time. All I ordered was a chicken sandwich and two orders after me were done before mine and when I told the manager about it and said I've been waiting 15 minutes she said "it's only been 8 minutes" because according to her it's not when I've been waiting, it's when they get the ticket. Another guy says "here it is" and hands it to me. I'm pretty sure it was done and forgotten about. No apology was given. read more

We order catering from this location pretty regularly, and I stop in a couple times a year for personal dining, too. Typically we have great food and service, no issues. The restaurant is always decently busy and sometimes there is a line. I also find that if it is busier, the tables aren't wiped down or bused super quickly. However, food is usually good and consistent. As far as catering, they are always prompt and the service is friendly. Can't beat the online ordering for catering of the delivery for small lunch sized orders. Today, we had a supplier bring in a catering order from this location. In one of the boxed salad lunches there was a bug. I called the store to let them know, and I talked with Lou the manager. She was apologetic and quick to find a remedy for the situation. She did say that the restaurant doesn't have bugs, but most likely it came in with the lettuce.. which would lead me to wonder why the lettuce isn't washed thoroughly. However, she was very sincere in her apology and offered to rectify the situation for us. She also was going to pull the remaining lettuce and throw it out and inspect. I was comfortable with her response and fix. We will still order catering from Panera, due to convenience and food options. However, I'll probably always check each bite from here on out. read more

I use this store a couple times a week. I have been a member of the Sip Club since the program started and have not really had any problems with it. I think it is a great promotion. Recently they added a $1.00 bagel option--but I have tried it for two days and it has not worked--and going in the store to try to get help has been aggravating. The little old lady behind the counter has no clue as to how to help and questions whether the promotion even exists and demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of how the Sip Club works. On Monday the manager had no idea about the $1.00 bagel promotion and did not know how to fix the issue. I finally asked for another bagel and left. A day later I tried again and had the same issue. This time the manager was even less helpful and I, the customer, had to ask her to calm down and speak to me decently and not raise her voice. I get it that it's only $1.00 but it's a promotion I'm paying for each month. The manager says it's the Panera people (I had to explain that she is Panera, too) that are causing the problem. She finally go frustrated and cancelled my order! Horrible customer service! They kept looking for a way to blame me, THE CUSTOMER, for the problem which was on their end. All they needed to say was: "we're sorry that there appears to be a glitch in the system and it's not allowing us to process the order like it should. We will try ti fix this." read more

This is the worst Panera Bread I've ever been to. It looked like nobody wanted to be there. The lobby was dead. Nobody was there except for a few older people. (It was 11:30-- lunchtime.) A severely elderly woman took my order. I got the pick 2 deal. Broccoli cheddar soup and grilled cheese. She told me that with this deal I can get a cookie half off and a choice of an apple, chips, or a baguette for a side. I chose the chips for my side. I waited for my food to be done, which didn't take very long, maybe 5-10 minutes. However, when I got my food, the spoon for my soup had someone else's lip marks and chunks of dried soup from somebody else. Also, they gave me a baguette instead of the chips I wanted. My soup was cold and separated. It just wasn't great. Good thing I only went there because I had no other choice. read more

I think there is a complete lack of understanding of good customer service here. I Placed an order for delivery, for a grain bowl. I requested 2 extra items on my bowl. 1 item I paid extra for and one included an option for the extra at no charge. They did not include the extra of either item. Also one of the items actually had half of the normal amount. The bowl was bland and flavorless. I called to explain my problem and was told they would credit the one item I paid extra for. My grain bowl was not made well and they are crediting 1 item?? This is not good customer service. They should have credited the entire bowl or given me a replacement for a later date. There is no accountability for errors and no apology was made. We all make mistakes but correct them!! read more

This Panera location has many problems. The staff doesn't seem to have a grasp of proper food service. The lack of inventory and product availability is unacceptable. 1. Out of soup on the menu. 2. Out of poppy seed bagels. 3. Out of 4 cheese soufflé. We won't be back!!! read more

As much as I like your Asiago bagels, you still only get one star. It doesn't matter what time of day it is, but you never have any bagels left. 9 times out of 10, you're out of all the bagels I like or all of them in general. I have even ordered off the app showing there are some in stock only to get a call 20 mins later letting me know that they don't have any of the bagels I ordered left. It can be mid morning on a weekend or any time in the afternoon M-F and yet you're always out of bagels. You need to do a better job of pre-planning and making more to keep up with the demand. I can't tell you how many times I've stopped at this location to find you're out of the one thing you should have...BAGELS! It's very disappointing. Do better. read more

Just received the order by delivery. Apparently the restaurant has been without power until a few hours ago. Sandwich looked great, tasted even better. The cookie I ordered was not available because they couldn't bake them. But thy substituted some other pastries to make up for it. Delivery time was given as 34 - 40 minutes. Arrived in less than 30. Great service, great driver. Awesome job after 1 1/2 days without power. read more

As a frequent traveler, I often seek out Panera since it's consistently decent. This location, however, is ridiculous. I've never had so many screw ups in one meal in my life...and of course I got it to-go, so they were all discovered when it was too late. There were so many errors that I don't even think it's worth listing them all. This Panera just sucks. Leave it at that. read more

Worst experience ever at a Panera. Waited over 20 minutes for 2 bowls of soup to go! I did a pickup order and it was a major fail. First of all, they brought out the wrong order to us. Then came back to the car and took back the wrong order after we had gone through it. I sure hope they didn't give that food to anybody. Then once they brought our correct order, it was missing a sandwich, straws, and utensils. I then called and spoke with "manager" chris who was not the most helpful. I won't be back. Ever. Oh and none of the fives meals we ordered were even remotely good. read more

Wingsfan99 1 Pending review Did not get it right I ordered 54 bagels and cream cheese two weeks ahead and serious problems. First it took some time for the counter person to quit gossiping with a patron and an order that should have been easy to pick up took way too much time. Second the bagels were not sliced properly, no plastic ware and the cream cheese order was not correct. Claimed they lost power and had to use what they had. WAIT IT WAS NOT WHAT I ORDERED!!!!! Bad excuse for an answer. Needs a management change! read more

I love the tomato soup! While I was sick the past few days, I had the tomato soup for lunch everyday. The steak and Swiss sandwich is also pretty good. The bread is always fresh and they have a good assortment of pastries to select from. This location is much larger than other locations I have seen. It is also only 2 minutes away from the hotel we are currently staying at and 5 minutes from the in-laws house. I really like that they always have freshly sliced lemon in a container by the drinks. read more

Panera is a nice option for a more upscale, sometimes healthier option than typical fast food. This location on Alpine gets very crowded during the week at lunch time. I love how Panera is posting calorie counts for food items right on the menu board. It makes it so much easier to choose lower calorie options. read more

After my pickup order was still not ready 25 minutes after I ordered (15minutes late) I asked how much longer as I had my dogs in the car and would assume wait with them as the place was filling up fast with people waiting for food. Definitely not social distancing! I was told 4 orders in front of mine, but they would make an exception and box my order next. The young man workimg reached to grab a Flatbread pizza that had been discarded after being mauled by 3 staff members that decided it was trash, this pizza was cold and doughy...that was what I received! Terrible quality and NOT SANITARY! THIS PLACE ALLOWS EMPLOYEES TO TAMPER WITH FOOD. DO NOT EAT THERE. They also will substitute whatever they want without notice or reimbursement if they run out of something. If you have food allergies this can be quite dangerous so look out! I tried to complain to the restaurant and they did not care at all! If you want your food spit in, this is the place to go. If you want a sanitary meal, not tampered with by employees, I suggest going ANYWHERE else! read more

I waited for an hour and a half for them to forget like $15 of food when I ordered delivery. Wrong soup. No drinks. And no baguette

Jerry the manager and Kay the cashier went above and beyond their normal duties to satisfy my breakfast order as they were out of many options. He tried to refund my order as I didn't find that necessary, the swap was just fine. This is by far my favorite Panera and thanks to your great customer service will keep coming here. read more

We love Panera. When traveling it is always our choice of restaurant. We also order regularly for curbside year 'round most often ordering my favorite salad - Fuji Apple Chicken. However, whenever we order a half size order, they can't get the proportions right. It's not only far less than half, but hardly ever any lettuce. That held true today. With the worse part that being what little lettuce was there was completely inedible. Please do better Panera. read more

So we have ordered from. You before and not had a problem. Apparently you do not have enough drivers as i was called and told it would take longer. Then I have no idea when my food was delivered as the person could not bother themselves to knock on the door. My food was cold and was not good warmed up. I cannot magically know when someone appears at my door. Be real, tell these people not to be so lazy. If I order again I will not be giving the driver a tip. read more

Panera breads quality never waivers. I've been to Panera's all over west/central Michigan and the food is always fantastic. If I could give zero stars, I would. I have been to many Paneras in different states, and even worked closely with one for catering at a previous job, and this Panera just sucks, plain and simple. The wait times are atrocious. Last summer I was with two friends and it took close to half an hour for our food to be delivered. This past winter I went back, thinking it was a fluke. When we walked in they told us to try the kiosk, there was no line, so we did. As we were ordering, I heard a manager say that some of the kiosk orders were not going through, but I didn't think much of it because he watched us and another person ordering at the kiosk and didn't advise us to stop. My boyfriend and I waited 30 min (it was lunchtime and they were busy, so we gave them benefit of the doubt) for our food before we had to go speak to someone. They never even got our order. So we had to re-order our food, and then waited close to another 20 min for it to arrive, with very little sympathy from the manager. Just tonight we used the mobile order feature for a quick dinner to eat at home. It said it would be ready at 7:33 pm. We got inside at 7:30 and waited. The screen even said my order was ready. No one brought it out. Multiple employees and someone I am assuming was a manager watched us. As we sat there, three other orders were put in, and the one guest received his order before us. As we sat waiting, my boyfriend noticed a bag sitting on the pick up counter (not the mobile order pickup). They called the other man's name, and still our bag sat. An employee went to pick up food to be delivered to a guest dining in. I walked down and asked if the bag was a mobile order, the employee said "yes, the tag is in the bag". It was our food. I said "ok, well we have been waiting for like 10min down there for it to be brought out, but have a good night guys." My response was snarky (won't deny it) but THEN the employee (assuming the same one as I was walking away I couldn't see his face), replied with just as much snark, "thanks you too!" In front of the same presumed manager who saw us sitting there. This Panera needs to have a serious overhaul in customer service training, because this is straight up appalling to me. I don't expect things on a gold platter, but common courtesy goes a long way. Customer service is NOT a glamorous job and I understand first hand the frustrations it brings, and even like to give leeway in most situations, but this was unacceptable to me. Needless to say, despite living very close to this location, and loving the food Panera offers, I will not go back to this location and will not recommend any other person to dine in or take out here ever again. Giving the benefit of the doubt can only take an establishment so far. read more
