CoreLife Eatery is one of my favorite spots for a healthy meal. The Spicy Thai Chicken over salad was fresh and super flavorful. I made my own bowl and was about to choose up to 5 toppings. I ordered the large size and it was plenty of food. My husband got Spicy Thai Chicken bowl over rice noodles. He liked it but asked for some extra sauce since they did not put much on it the first time. Restaurant is clean and very bright. Service was friendly and quick. The food here is usually really good once you get it. Today was no different. The only downside is that the wait to get your food is terrible. It's a "chipotle style" lineup where you customize your order as you go but the line gets super long and those with a lunch hour and up spending half the time in line waiting for their food. If you're gluten free & haven't been here in awhile, know it's no longer a mainly gluten free restaurant. I got sick after a few bites of Corelife last year & decided to stay away for awhile. Turns out, it was the Mac & cheese. It's no longer gluten free & there was never any mention of the change. I went back over the weekend & noticed the major menu change, so I decided to ask about gluten free options & the employees acted like they had no clue what was or wasn't gluten free. It's absolutely crazy to brand yourself a gluten free restaurant for years & then change it with zero warning. While I didn't get sick from my meal over the weekend, it wasn't what it used to be. Giving this place another try! As I mentioned in my last review it has been my go to spot for a quick but filling lunch! The location is convenient and the restaurant is fun and clean! They have a lot of seating indoor and outdoor. The staff was exceptional and kind. The service was a different experience from my last visit! The staff member at checkout was so kind and made quick conversation with me. I enjoyed some of their flavored teas while dining in and they are delicious. I did order the BYO + protein (chicken) and all the ingredients were fresh! The broccoli cheddar soup was also very good as usual! I tend to add a ton of pepper but that's my personal preference. What happened to core life eatery. They used to be so good. Their staff always have positive vibes but that's not why I'm there. The food use to be pretty good 3-4 years ago. Now I get bowls that don't resemble anything based off their pictures. Yikes... do better guys. Honestly I'm not satisfied with this entire order. I got the Korean bowl and the pork is dry, the sauce is minimal, and the egg is charred from maybe the last few times the pan or whatever they used wasn't washed. Thanks for a below mid dish. This is a great spot for a quick eat that is on the healthier side. I love that there's a mix of veggies and proteins with plenty of sauce options. I ordered the Korean bbq pork and despite its far cry from authentic, it was very enjoyable. The sauce was nice and sweet. I loved the variety of veggies: carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, and "kimchi." Man. What I thought was going to be a 5 star experience went downhill quick. Food on the line looked fresh and delicious. Menu items were exciting. Checked out, got my food to go and was happy....grabbed my drink and quickly found there was no lids. I turned to an employee who was stocking near the drinks and as I was asking for the right sized lid she quickly cut me off and said "we don't have any- sorry" very abruptly. I said okay, can I have a larger cup and pour this in so I c....."no, we don't have any". She cut me off again. I asked again. You don't have anything that has a lid so I can take my drink with me that I already paid for? "No we don't". Really!?! Thankfully I had a coffee cup with a lid on my car that just happened to fit perfectly on their cup or else there would have been a mess in my vehicle. When I got back to my hotel I discovered that there was so much liquid in my meal that it had spilled in the bag and the lid and bag was soaked in juices. My food was so soupy and did not resemble a warm bowl. The food was delicious which brought them back up to a 3 star. Poor customer service will always knock stars in my book. I may give Corelife another chance before I leave town to see if they can redeem themselves. read more

Corelife is one if my go-to spots for takeout when I want something healthier. I find it really easy to customize and get exactly what I want here. You can build your own item or customize something on the menu- plus if you remove something from a menu item you can substitute another ingredient for free. I usually get a green bowl aka a big salad. You can also add quinoa or rice or just do that as the base. There's also broth and plates with sides as well. Lots of options. I find the portions of the full size bowls pretty good, and the green bowl does fill me up. Online ordering is easy however in my experience they're usually a little bit behind in preparing it. I find the price point a little high, I wouldn't go here like daily, but good for a takeout treat. Not really more expensive than something like Panera and I like it better. read more

You can make your own bowl, and they have a variety of ingredients to choose from! I love the Ahi Tuna they sell here very high quality, and the chicken bone broth is hearty and tastes great. Obviously it isn't going to look at good as it tasted because we had to order Togo, but it was amazing. Without the 25% it can be a bit costly, but right now it's well worth the value you pay with the coupon. read more

Food all over the counters and floors and the employees just standing around talking.. when I went to ask the manager a question about the combo, his answers were short, rude and condescending and he walked away without helping me, HERE is the kicker, after all of that they have the audacity to ask for a tip as I pay out: how bout this, pay your employees appropriately and stop having the public tip your employees to make up for your lack of wages for simply putting together a rice bowl!!! and maybe your customers will get the customer service they deserve.... great concept but bad execution on the owners/managers part.. we won't be back.. read more

CoreLife has some of the freshest veggies I have ever eaten! I love coming in a doing the build your own option allowing for me to try new things every time! Their chicken is always moist and fresh and their falafel's are to die for! Their tofu is also a great option if you're looking for a vegan protein! I also enjoy being to order online and picking it up in store on my lunch, also if you hookup Apple Pay to the app you receive 5 dollars towards your purchase, and 5 dollars every time you refer someone! They are very quick and you select all the ingredients and watch them makes it fresh right in front of you. It is fairly quick, but doesn't lack quality! It's a great lunch spot or for takeout. One of my favorite things is the bone broth because of the health benefits and I often visit when I'm not feeling my best. I typically get a broth both, and generally do the great your own and you choose the ingredients! Would highly recommend any broth bowl. They have an app rewards program you can use to pay and gain points as you frequent there. We were a little disappointed with the service we received at this particular location. They were not super friendly, and we also went at a time they were not very busy, yet the majority of the tables in the restaurant had not been bused. You know I used to live around the corner from the place and I never knew how good the food was here. I like the set up and I really enjoy having the wide array of options to chose from. I have come here several times, and I can never veer from my staple which is the Bone broth Chicken Tortilla & Chipotle Chicken. Yes, there is a big kick, so have your milk ready. And yes, I have tried all their beverages. My favorite is the beet lemonade. The food here is so clean and so refreshing. I have been to Core Life a few times before, but this was my first time at the Grandville location and I have never had a better bowl from this chain! They have so many gluten free/vegetarian and just overall healthy options, which is why I have always been a fan of Core Life. I did a mobile order for my friend and I, and both were ready when I showed up, still very warm, and had all the right utensils and everything in each bag. No complaints about their mobile order service! This time, I got the Sweet Potato Buddha Bowl and I am going to get this all the time now. It was SO GOOD. There was a perfect amount of everything in the bowl, and the sauce on it was incredible. That's the only thing I wish there was more of! Next time I will probably ask for some extra sauce on the side. I already am planning my next take out dinner from this Core Life, and can't wait! read more

Holy Cow. We need one of these on the NW side of GR. First visit and I'm already hoping to make it back SOON. I was very impressed with the selection of food items. I was expecting all healthy and bland options.. but I was blown away by what I saw. My Korean bowl was amazing with TONS of healthy goodies and TONS of flavor. I wasn't planning on eating the whole thing.. but I did. Loved all the fresh juice, lemonades, and fun drinks choices. So much better than a fountain pop machine. The Green initiative here is strong and i love it! I'm sure this place is slammed at lunch time - I was there at 1230 and it was pretty busy still. Worth it! read more

I do like a good build-your-own place. When it comes to buffet style entree building there is a fine balance between too many choices, not enough choices, and choices that actually fit within the confines of the thing you're trying to make. I think Corelife stikes a good balance. Most of their salads are pre-built numbers, with a default set of ingredients and as you go down the line you pick and choose which of those pre-determined ingredients you want in your salad. Not a bad way to go and better to probably to keep people within a theme so that they have a higher liklihood of getting a salad they like. I didn't actually look to see if they have a free-for-all build-your-own option but I'd guess they do. There are plenty of ingredients, they all look fresh, and there's a nice variety of meat and nut options for toppings and mix-ins. The staff were friendly too. They do have soups and broths which is nice. The beef broth was super rich fatty and delicious. The place inside was spotless. While I imagine it can get quite busy and packed when we were in it was quiet and nice. That's the way I'd prefer it if I was dining in. I'll look forward to coming back and trying another salad, the one I had was great! read more
