It's Olga's! Basically, a strange corporation restaurant version of Greek inspired food. I don't really like anything they make except the staples: orange dreamsicle, the original Olga, curly fries, salad with extra kalmatta olives and Olga dressing, peasant soup, and of course freshly baked snackers with the famous ball of cheese dip. Anything else on the menu is sacrilege in my humble opinion. I had a choice. Soup, salad and snackers for $11 something or UNLIMITED soup, salad, and snackers for $1 more. Though I don't like to overeat... I knew I may not get enough snackers and went for the dollar upcharge. It was worth it, because I did do a second order of snackers. All the other stuff I couldn't finish and took a bunch home for second dinner later making the price tag worthwhile. My husband did the original Olga with curly fries and salad. It was fine, but he was tired from the carb crash. His only minor complaint was the curly fries were not large or curly enough. We hypothesized they probably fried his batch with the leftovers at the end of the frozen fry bag as fast food establishments sometimes do. He was just unlucky. All in all, it's Olga's. For me, it's nostalgic. I grew up eating this stuff at the restaurant located in the Woodland Mall when doing back to school shopping with my mom. It was a special treat because it was more expensive than McDonald's or Hot 'n Now. I never got the orange dreamsicle, and only the side of snackers rather than the coveted family size that I begrudgingly had to share with my mother. Food is always good and made fresh! The staff is always nice but try to avoid coming at lunch time if you don't plan to place an order on the app! You can have a fast quick-service lunch or get a little fancy with their menu and spend $30+ on lunch. Tried their strawberry dragon fruit drink for the first time it was delicious! Upon entry, I wasn't sure if I was going to like Olga's Grille. It didn't seem like a typical Olga's Kitchen because the place resembled a fast food restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised after placing our order. Our food was delivered to our table, and it was delicious. We had a choice between silverware and plasticware. The self-serve fountain drinks were super cold. The only thing I can complain about is that my fries looked like bottom of the fry basket throw away pieces. The food is good, service was friendly and prompt, portions are bigger than I remember from years ago. They absolutely have to understand how to clean their restaurant. It would be a huge disappointment if cleanliness was a reason this restaurant fails. Our team ordered Olga's Catering for a work event and had a wonderful experience! Two ultimate platter orders were more than enough food for 12 people. We added on the cinnamon snackers, those were especially delicious. Olga's was always our place to go after shopping ever since we got married 21yrs ago. Then all the Olga's shut down for years. We are so happy Olga's is back. The food is just how we remembered it. The atmosphere is fun and new but at least at this location, the tables are always dirty, trash over flowing, no silverware, etc. This is every time we come here it's like this. The service is ok. It feels like in house patrons take a back seat to on-line orders. Maybe that's why tables are not cleaned and silverware and napkins are in short supply. I don't live here anymore, and had heard this chain was completely gone. The Olga's in Woodland Mall had been one of my favorite restaurants, so naturally I was pretty excited to find out the chain was still around. The service was good, and they've adapted to a more contemporary dining experience. Wow. Pretty positive so far. So why's this a 3-star review? Previously, the fried chicken Olga used actual chicken breast. Today, they use this chicken nugget material. Maybe that's not a dealbreaker for you. Or maybe you'd even prefer it. But I don't. Honestly I've been here 3 times. I liked Olga's when it was in the mall but was thrilled to find that they had moved and went to a counter order system. Waiting tables wasn't the greatest in the mall but this place is actually worse. First of all...they don't keep the place clean. Like at all. You typically have to go to the counter and ask someone to clean tables so you can sit. And then they usually take time doing other things before they come out so you are left standing around waiting for a clean table. Also often silverware isn't clean or readily available, soft drink area is in disarray. Second - the wait for food can be crazy long. I get they get rushes but they don't seem very equipped to handle them. I waited for over 30 mins for a salad at lunchtime and then had to flag them down for my snackers basket. Third - the food needs improvement. Often things are overcooked or don't look very good. We had 2 basket of snackers last time and they were both burnt. We sent one back and it came back out even darker. It was disappointing at best. I really had hoped they would do better but it's been a few months and they haven't improved. We won't be back for a while. Maybe they can figure out how to actually run a restaurant. read more

Use to go to Olga's in Detroit area all the time, loved the food. Today we tried this Olga's on 28th St, someone needs to take away the seasoning shaker from the cook and make the holes smaller. This is the first time in the last 13 yrs of living in GR area I can say the food was over seasoned and ruined. I always complain of the food being too bland in GR, but this was ridiculous to the opposite extreme, making it the absolute worst meal we have ever had. read more

Whoever is managing this location is in way over their head. Went for lunch, it took 45-50 minutes to get food, it was mass confusion and the employees weren't really moving with any kind of effort or purpose. When the food did come, they didn't even bother making one of the Olgas on our order, and my cup of peasant soup was served in a tiny dipping bowl. It was like a third of the amount of soup that is supposed to come in a cup. Basket of snackers was way overcooked, with some of them being inedibly burnt. Came in for the first (and probably last) time. I ordered at the table like they suggested. First, the app wouldn't apply my rewards but whatever. Then after I paid, I kept hearing the cashier tell incoming customers that it would be 45 minutes for them to get their food. I looked at my confirmation email and yep, the delivery time was 45 minutes after the email was sent! However, it is now 55 minutes after the I ordered and I still do not have my food!! This is beyond ridiculous. No place should be open if they take this long to prepare food. They play R&B music that makes you feel like you're in a nightclub, took way too long to get basic food and when it came it had stuff on it not mentioned at all in the description. We got the ham and cheese olga and is says swiss ham lettuce tomato and olga sauce, no mention of giant onion chunks! I hate onion but thankfully im not allergic because they dont disclose they are gonna be on there. The ice machine was apparently broken so they just put a cup under it that filled up very quickly and then ice just continued to shoot all over the floor so you had to step all over in it to get your cup lid, straw, and napkins. The trash was also overflowing and really gross! Definitely not the Olgas i remember. I do not recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent lunch where you can just sit and chat with your friend etc.... You wont be able to hear them over the music! read more
