Giving three stars because I frequently come to this McAlisters and I always get a good meal. Unfortunately today was the exception to that. I ordered the grilled chicken club. I will attach photos of what it is supposed to look like, and what I received. I did come in 30 minutes before close, and I felt like the employee must have been done trying for the day and decided to just make the "sandwich" however they felt like it. Our first time stopping in and really was impressed! Restaurant was open and bright and very clean. Loved the bar top area! (Could see myself coming in to do work on my laptop there) Service and employees were quick and friendly, brining the food right to your table and checking in to get us a refill without asking! I really want to like this deli. But whether I eat at Wyoming or Holland, what they both have in common is that they like to serve rotten black avocado on their sandwiches. When I complained, they picked off the black avocado while still leaving some rotted stuff behind. I asked for a refund and left for Schnitz deli. I wasn't sure what to expect from McAlister's but everything here was a pleasant surprise. I tried out the Choose 2 option, picking a half of a French Dip sandwich and broccoli cheddar soup. Didn't have any expectations going in, we were not familiar with the chain. The dining area was clean and comfortable. The drink size is huge! I saw they had world famous sweet tea. Cut in half and only one side of it had cheese, sauce and sauerkraut. Now you can say that is poorly cut sandwich. But these prices aren't super low so all of the sandwich needs to have all the stuff. They also charged for water. Maybe that was on the sign? but it caught us off guard. My first time at McAlister's Deli and I will be sure to be back! The pick-two was the perfect size. I was full but not overly full. I also tried the sweet tea but added peach to mine. It was awesome to be able to try it free for signing up for the app! The food came out pretty quickly and the staff was super friendly. We had both ordered sour cream for our potatoes but had to request it because they forgot - which wasn't a big deal at all since we were dining in. I ordered the choose 2 which comes with huge portions!! Once I got the veggie spud and it was so big I had two meals out of it and it was so delicious. Their southwest chicken and avocado salad is really yummy as well. The dressing is tangy and pairs well with the salad. Their Reubens is also really good. Everything that I have tried from here has been great. The portion sizes are big so be aware, but great for leftover. I especially love the spuds!! read more

To my knowledge this is the first McAlister's in the GR area. Definitely a very worthy lunch or quick in and out spot if you're looking for fast quality food. I got the jalapeño Turkey crunch sandwich, the tastes blend so well together with juicy Turkey, fresh avocado a slight jalapeño chip crunch and very subtle but present kick of heat with the Mayo and jalapeño type bun. There potato salad is freshly made and so good too (we've gotten Mac and cheese before too). I had a bit of her chicken salad that she raved about and it definitely was very flavorful as well- another solid sandwich. Delicious! I'm so glad that I tried this place on a whim today. It's chilly and rainy and a perfect day for soup, sandwiches and Mac n cheese. I ordered delivery through Uber and our food was prepared and received quickly. Soup and Mac n cheese were still warm when they arrived! Both were very good but the broccoli cheddar soup was my fav. I ordered the King Club and holy cow - it's HUGE. So much meat and cheese and I love their honey mustard. As someone who has been a line cook for a long time and also made and eaten many French dips from many different places. I have to say whoever made this one, whatever their process prep/recipe/assembly wise... this one was made right and for a decent price. I love love love the food here and it's generally pretty quick. My only problem is that they get the order wrong 50% of the time. It's disappointing when you order lunch, and half of it is incorrect. This last time, I asked to have the correct order re-delivered and was left to contact Door Dash myself to make the arrangements. The food is so good at McAlister's! My husband loves it and he's picky. He likes the spicy chicken sandwich. I like the reuben. Yum!

When we walked in, a group of workers were sitting/standing at a table with masks worn incorrectly and talking poorly about the restaurant. The manager returned to working and continued to talk poorly (and loudly). Our food was messed up. I wish the cashier would have repeated the order to us so that the mistakes could have been avoided. The cooks and workers were all visibly angry with each other rather than talking about how to fix it. Once we got the correct food, it was delicious. The second manager (shift change) that dealt with our situation in a very positive and appropriate manager - we appreciate her! We will return and look forward to better customer service. read more
