This branch made an improvement over the years. Kiosk optional ordering as soon as you enter through the main entrance or if you decide to order from an actual human there's someone there at the counter. Service was fast and friendly. Had brunch with my girlfriend and best friend after Kean University tour. Everything was tasty and the salad was fresh. We all enjoyed our food and left full. I had to pack my sandwich to go lol. I pointed out to the staff that the dark roast needed to be refilled and the half and half milk and they kindly refilled it. Will definitely come here again. I recommend the Green Goddess salad & papaya green tea with a splash of lemonade so good

I hate when places screw up orders. I paid over $15 for a Green Goddess Caprese Melt in which I paid extra to have chicken on it. Bottom line...no chicken and an ugly sandwich. This place started off good but lately the workers don't care and their (lack of) work shows it.

I specifically order well done to the app . This is this disgusting I understand that this is a franchise but I think that we customers deserve something more decent for our money

What is this? $13 for a shot of soup and bread?? Panera bread needs to step up there training skills.

Worst Panera bread I've been to. I have been looking forward to trying their French onion soup for a while now but it's always sold out for the day by time I get to order it. Today , I finally got the chance to try it and I was pretty excited to try and I paid for extra cheese. Not only was there no cheese at all, but no croutons either... in a French onion soup. Seriously? Grilled cheese was sloppy but what's new. I'd rather drive to the one on rt 22 than to order from here again.

Literally every time I order from here my order is wrong in some sort of way. It's truly a weird phenomenon. It's the jankiest Panera I've ever been to.

Nice new location. Will be popular as it's across the street from Kean University. Nice ambiance with outdoor seating and the typical over-priced food and sloppily made sandwiches I've experienced at other locations, IMHO. Folks seem to love Panera but I'm hard-pressed to spend my money here!

I hadn't been to this location in over a year, but Michelle reminded me what real customer service looks like. She was patient, kind, and genuinely attentive -- especially as she helped me navigate my birthday points. She never rushed me, never made me feel like a burden, and walked me through everything with a smile. And let me say this: people underestimate the gift it takes to make a perfect sandwich. I watched her work, and the precision, care, and pride she put into every step was beautiful. She made my sandwich flawlessly. On top of that, she offered me a drink on the house -- a small gesture that meant a lot on my birthday. Michelle is the kind of employee who brings people back. She is warm, professional, and naturally gifted at what she does. If she ever opens her own restaurant, I would support her without hesitation. She made my birthday meal special, and I want her to know she is appreciated. Michelle deserves recognition, appreciation, and yes -- Employee of the Month. She earned it.

(And that ATM machine at the corner? It looks like it'll not only steal your identity but your soul as well.) My last visit (2023-ish) I tried their 'combo' (one hot dog, one sausage) which was... okay. But when they're slinging a double Italian hot dog? They're firing on all cylinders. Tommy's is not shy to pile a wicked amount of grub into that pizza bread. The hot dogs kind of get lost under a mountain of deep-fried and oily (but delicious) sliced spuds. (I do wish they weren't so stingy with the peppers and onions to really balance out the meal.) The 'Holy Trinity' when it comes to Italian hot dogs in North Jersey is a no-brainer... Dickie Dee's, Jimmy Buff's and Tommy's. (For me - no one comes close to Dickie Dee's but my one kid said Tommy's was his [current] fave.) As for that couple that came cashless? A good Samaritan behind me pulled out a wad of cash (it's not wise to pull out a fistful of cash anywhere you go but it's ESPECIALLY not wise when you're in the rough and tumble streets of Elizabeth, let's be real) and after swapping Venmo information everything was a-okay. Take-out/to-go only. Parking is atrocious. Guy behind the glass - always aces. (Oh, and... cash only!)

Had the chance to meet "The Boss" Gilda and her son Joe as well as the rest of the very friendly and helpful staff here. We tried a plethora of things so this may take a minute haha. Started off with two stuffed breads - A Reuben as well as a Pepperoni roll. The Reuben had a great flavor and the bread itself was tasty. It was slightly odd in my mind to eat a Reuben without grilled rye, but I enjoyed this. The pepperoni stuffed bread was also good and was even better with the addition of some sauce (they called it gravy and I thought I was in trouble haha). After that we were hit with some delicious Italian items including their house made meatballs, Italian sausage and peppers, and chicken Parmesan. The meatballs were just rated #1 in Central Jersey and #2 in the entire state of NJ at the Pizza Bowl a few months back. I could see why. Very tender, perfectly seasoned, and again that sauce/gravy was killer. To be honest though, I may have enjoyed the sausage even more! I mentioned how I didn't get hit with that typical overwhelming pop from fennel seed and Joe said they make it with ground fennel so the flavor is still there but it's not so in your face. I loved, and I mean loved, this sausage. The chicken parm was also very good but I had a small piece because I knew what was coming next! We finished off by trying two sandwiches that Iorio is well known for. The first was "The Jocelyn" which was a roast beef and Swiss melt on an onion roll, and the second was "The Sloppiest Joe" which was a North NJ staple "sloppy joe" but in epic proportions. The Jocelyn had good flavor and the onion roll was a nice touch and change of pace. The sloppiest Joe is sitting inside the top 3 I've had probably ever. The meats were freshly sliced and piled high, the rye was super fresh, and the Cole slaw had get flavor and added welcomed creaminess to the sandwich. As if there was any doubt at all - Iorio Deli in Roselle Park, NJ - Didn't Suck!
