Lunch stop... Ordered the #42 mikes way, sandwich was good,fresh and flavorful. Staff was nice,friendly and quick ,while making sure we got our order the right way. The place was lit up well and tables was clean, all pre ur veggies were organized and kept clean. Nice environment for a nice lunch . They do share parking lot with other businesses but so parking is available to limited capacity .. Restaurant has stirs and ramp options, bathrooms are spacious and wide enough for wheelchairs.... Jersey Mikes at Newark Liberty Airport. The worst customer service I have experience at Jersey Mike's. Two black girls, and one black boy. Name on receipt Peter. They were extremely rude with bad attitudes. No customer service training the cashier young black boy was leaning on the cash register and making faces at customers to use the register he was leaning on. Instead of telling customers the correct register. I wouldn't have thought to use that register because he was laying all over it. He overcharged me a dollar for the sandwich. He put in the wrong sandwich number. I started to go back but they are so ignorant it wasn't worth my energy. I'm sure he needed the dollar and the two girls one making a sandwich and one on the slicer Absolutely disgusting attitudes. The service wasn't bad, friendly and professional. My sandwich was pretty good too. I actually got the chicken Philly, which was my first time getting. I did enjoy it, BUT, dude drenched it in Mayo. So that kind've took away from the experience. They also ran out of bread (and this was about a hour before closing), so luckily I was hungry and too picky to care. But I got a giant and had 2 different types of rolls. Again it wasn't bad and I'd probably revisit this location, as my wife comes here often. This Jersey Mike's location has great potential. It's located near a strip store area with plenty of parking spaces on the lot. The place itself has a few tables and some tall chairs by the countertop looking outside the window and back area by the tv. The services was friendly but a bit slow comparing to other and jersey mike's sub shops. Their subs comes in 3 sizes (mini, regular and giant). A mini sub size is about 3 inches and really used when you order the kids meal. The regular is double the size of a mini and then the giant is double the size of the regular. Their super sub was pretty good. The meat and cheese was freshly sliced after you place the order. Then next comes the toppings choice of lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, sweet peppers, hot peppers and jalapeños, mayo, oregano, black peppers and oil/vinegar. Yes, I had it all in my sub and I love it! Regrettably, after paying, I checked on Yelp and saw the 20% discount check in! Oh well, there's always next time here. I do have to ding some stars rating because of the lack of cleanups. The tables, chairs and floors are a bit dirty with all the bread crumbs. read more

My friend told me that this place was the best sub place in New Jersey and I just had to try it. The person that was making the subs look happy with his job. The cashier and the other lady looked so tired/miserable working here. The garbage can was full to the max, the floors were dirty, and the tables had lots of crumbs on it. I ordered a chicken cheesesteak and it had a lot of lettuce in it. The chicken cheesesteak was pretty good for half of a sub. The jalapeño chips were good but the soda machine seemed a bit watered down. Overall the food was good and is definitely better than Subway. I would probably come back here again to try their cold subs and see if they are better than Tasty Subs. read more

I genuinely think that the employees at this particular location may be lacking brain cells. My s/o just picked us up dinner from this location and one sub was made completely wrong & both were labeled incorrectly. My bf paid EXTRA $ to have bacon added to his sub and yet they never added it. Also, the employee was so incompetent that she labeled the plain sub as the one that had the most on it. These are the people who demand that they want $15 an hour. My bf called the store immediately to see if they could refund us the price of the bacon or write a note to give us a discount on our next visit (since we come here often) and of course they were no help. They literally told us all they could do was have us pick up the bacon. LOL, what a joke. This is what eating at overpriced sub shops gets you, folks! Went there over the weekend to try the new spot ! First of all only 2 workers . The girl making the sandwiches was very nice she did greet me when I came in . The guy was not so nice had to keep repeating my order to him . No thank you or have a nice day it seemed to me I was aggravating him and he had better things to do . Once I received my order I sat in the car and told my husband that we need to go back to the union store ! Then I saw the rude male worker come out on his phone ! This location is the worst! I've been a JM fan for many years, I usually order on the app. I get to this Edison location, and nobody was there, another couple walked in shortly after. Funny thing, the couple was there to complain about an experience they had a few days prior. The complaining was about an uncleanly environment, while server was rude and cursed their teenage daughter with F* bombs Lol. I ordered a sandwich on the app around 12pm that wasn't ready when I arrived. While I waited for this complaint to go on for about 10 mins, I simply interrupted briefly and asked that my sandwich be made...I was met with a response that my "sandwich wasn't ready until 12:15!". Seriously Lol? I order from this location multiple times a week and tip very generously each and every time. I waited 10 mins to even ask about my sandwich, and this young lady decided to give me attitude. No wonder the ratings are low for this location. I'll never go back to the Edison location on Route 1, and I've gone as far as personally banning this location from our regular "take out" corporate lunches. Nice fresh deli sandwich. They cut the meat right in front of you as they make the sandwich. I had the Italian classic, and would order it again for sure. One problem I have is this locations lack of a meatball sub. I asked and they said this particular location didnt have them. I believe this should be a staple sandwich at a sub shop. They only have a few toppings for your sandwich but they are the essentials. They have a small vatiety of chips and drinks. The firat time I went they had a few different types of cookies available. They say fresh baked everyday. The second time I went they didnt have anything except sugar cookies, and they guy behind the counter said yeah we have to make some others....It was noon, youre late buddy. Some of the staff behind the counter are in no rush to help you. Usually the people making the sandwich are on top of it, but when its passed to the cashier, youll be waiting. Last time there she rang up my chips and sandwich and then went about her business and never gave me or my friend a bag for our food. Every time I go into this location there is an issue. First I was given the wrong sandwich, I had to drive all the way back to exchange. ( I was compensated a free sandwich) Next, I experienced the guy on the phone, with loose dreds (No hair net or hat) holding a conversation while making my sandwich. Since I've visited this location, I have received burnt sandwiches, unchopped meat, the wrong bread, incorrect sandwiches or they simply forget to cut the sandwich after I made the request. Today I take a 35min drive from JC just to get there and they don't have any Chipotle Sauce. So I guess No #43 for me or for anyone else. My biggest question is.. Who's in charge of inventory, no one notices when the supplies are getting low. TOTALLY SUCKS.. Previously there wasn't any Rosemary Bread. My suggestion for this location is CHANGE the ENTIRE STAFF and MANAGEMENT. It's obvious they are not in sync at all. This a terrible reflection of Jersey Mike's.. It's GREAT to finally have a Jersey Mikes near Metuchen. Just had a tuna sub, my favorite, on rosemary bread. As always, it was AWESOME, I loved it and it lives up to their reputation, just yummy and excellent. As you probably know, the store is brand new and, like any new store, they might suffer a few challenges and delays. Kind of to be expected, so before you jump to conclusions, give them a little time to fine tune their store. I was there today and yes, some of the crew were looking a little puzzled as to what to do next, but my sub came out perfect and timely. While they were making it, everyone was VERY friendly and engaged in a nice conversation. Over all, my experience was perfect and the sub was a solid 10. I love coming here for a quick pick me up. There subs are fresh and delicious! The staff is always accommodating and cleans all the machinery upon request since I don't eat ham or pork for religious reasons. I always get the Turkey Sandwich with Provolone cheese and the herb bread and they keep it simple with toppings only being salad, mayo, jalapenos, dried herbs, oil and red vinegar but that's all you really need. This is my go to place when I don't feel like making dinner and if you sign up for the points they do rack up pretty fast for free subs, drinks or chips. read more

OMG so disgusting! I'm used to the poor service at this location, but i went in there on 8/19/21 and was absolutely revolted so much so that i eventually left without food. I walked in and the slicer was covered in nasty wet looking meat pieces i asked them to clean it and they did while they cleaned I stepped out to take a call. When I returned she asked for my order again and as I waited for her to start I notice the ceiling is leaking right over the slicer and part of where they keep the tops for the sandwich (IE lettuce tomato and the like). I initially think i'm seeing things so she starts cutting the bread and its continuing to drip inches from where my sandwich is about to be made. She moves the half of sliced bread and puts it on the damp rage she left out from either cleaning the gross slicer or the disgusting leak. Needless to say that was the straw that broke the camels back. After that i told them i no longer wanted anything and left. I'm used to the poor customer service at this location but this level of grimy is just nasty if this is how they are operating in front of customers, I cant even imagine what it looks like when no one is watching. 10/23/17. 6:30 pm or so. Ordered a Cheesesteak. The way I liked; fried onions, lettuce and tomato. Lite mayo, lite vinegar. You have to watch them as they may your sub. Because I turned away to pay the cashier, who kept distracting the cook, and they SOAKED it with vinegar. I love vinegar, but the sub bread was soggy by the time I got home. Don't know why they have to soak the sub with so much vinegar. Don't know if this is policy and how they're trained. But Jersey Mikes should use common sense and better training. I was visiting family at a nursing home close by. I stopped here bc my entire family was hungry and wanted sandwiches. I walked in, the place was clean and the line was on the longer side. I have to commend the staff, they were happy, smiling, joking with the customers and all while getting the orders correct and quickly! First impressions are everything... this place is pretty filthy, from unclean tables, trash on the floor, to an overflowing trashcan, its hard to look at. The employees working here are good at suggesting things if its your first time here as the choices can hit you in the face, but they move fairly slow behind the counter, it shouldn't take this long to get a sub. Initially looked closed and after walking in thought that perhaps it would have made a better impression closed. Despite initial impression we ordered our sandwiches for we were craving Jersey Mikes hot subs which at other locations have always tasted delicious. While waiting for the sandwiches to be grilled we looked around and noticed how dirty it looked. The owner or manager was using a table in the small dining area for his laptop to do the books....why waste a table that could generate income when you only have a few tables at all for your customers? The TV's weren't on and neither was their Open sign. Then we noticed a scribbled sign saying the fountain soda machine is out of order and there was an extremely limited option in their stand up fridge...unless you wanted Pepsi or water you were out of luck. I told the counter help to cancel our order for the overall look of this specific franchise made us eager to leave and search for a clean spot to sit down and enjoy our meal with a selection of drinks. Don't worry Jersey Mikes we're still fans but we'll never return to this particular site. I went for lunch and I had the Pastrami sandwich which was ok. I also bought lunch for a co-worker and she came in today and said the sandwich had hardly any meat on it.
