If you ever look at my reviews, I have been a customer of Panera Bread for many years and there were times when they dropped the ball. I will say that their management has always contacted me and on several times they have offered to make things right. I always decline any compensation, because I want to be honest about the service I receive. On Saturday, May 9th I wanted to try out the new menu at the Bell Rd. Panera where I frequent often. The service and food were absolutely spot on. The restaurant was clean, the food was prepared quickly and the employees very attentive and friendly. I attached a photo of my sandwich and I have to say that it was probably the BEST sandwich I've ever had at Panera Bread. I think it's called the Italiano Sandwich. It was prepared as I asked, and it was delicious. Overall, my dinner was the best I've had in a long time and wanted to share. Whatever the managers or GM is doing for the two surprise stores is definitely working and it shows. Thank you and a big five stars for this dinner out!

Ordered 3 dozen mini chocolate chip cookies online through their catering site and picked them up a few hours later. Called to see if I could get them early and spoke with Treasure. She was very friendly and told me to get them whenever. I didn't realize they come prepackaged but they are the ideal snack size and so good! Crispy on the edges, soft & chewy inside.

I came into this location to redeem my free dessert which anyone can get when you sign up via their app or website. The location is located on busy street next to a lot of businesses such as Red Robin, Kohls, Jersey Mikes & more. I was greeted by a friendly lady at the register & she was able to pull up my reward via my phone number. I selected their vanilla cinnamon roll & it was delicious. This location is huge, clean, lots of seating, drink selections, food & more.

All cleaned up waiting for a crowd.

They do not have enough help to clean the tables. Bring your own cleaning supplies. Waited at the cash register to order, and waited etc. A sassy little service person with attitude said to use the he kiosk or wait a few more minutes. We left! I I don't need that kind of attitude in my life with so many other places available. Focusing on quality, clean ingredients in a warm and welcoming environment. Panera is crafting a menu of soups, salads and sandwiches that we are proud to feed our families and etc of B/S. They haven't changed.

As a vegetarian it can be hard to find a local restaurant to enjoy a meal at. I ordered a veggie sandwich today and it was amazing. I called and let the manager, Theresa, know to please say thank you to the chef today. The only time I eat bread is when I have a Panera sandwich, so delicious and fresh. So often we are quick to complain when we feel something should have been better. Well, let's also celebrate when something is better. Thank you Surprise Panera Team.

The first pic is a 'half' sandwich at Panera. $6 and this is how much dressing you get for a whole salad. I had to ask twice for more than what amounts to a tablespoon of dressing. I had to complain to the manager before they corrected the half sandwich and the last photo IS the correction. Paid $38 for this trash. I miss Paradise. This is my last time eating at any Panera.

Bacon bits? Menu shows bacon strips. Not cool Panera....

Not really happy after most recent order. You pay a darn good amount for a sandwich and well... Look, I am not unreasonable. I know it is never going to look like it does in the picture, but the Turkey Bacon Bravo sandwich I got had bacon bits on it, not even a full strip of bacon. Probably not going back after this.

    Have grilled cheese?!?

Your price is way too much. A grill cheese and soup for 2 is $31.00. That is out of line.

Is the coffee free? It's a serve yourself area. Pour and go?

Free coffee at a place that charges $6 for a cup of soup? Hahahahaha. There's free coffee when you bring your own cup with a five fingered discount on busy days when no one will notice.

You then have someone bring your food and drinks to your table. They do walk around and offer your more broth as there is a lot of food in those bowls. And when you add the dry noodles you need more broth. I think that is cool. They do drop off the check midway through. It does get busy around 7pm we got there just before 6 so got in no problem.

When we got a table, we ordered using the QR code. It took a bit of time for our food and drinks to come. But the spot was pretty busy. Only saw the server when they brought our drink and our food, and when we ordered additional drinks. This is not like the typically hot pot spots where they bring you the broth and meats/veggies separately to cook yourself. You pick a "soup" premade and it comes to your table in a hot clay pot. It's a bit heavier broth. Definitely not what my taste buds enjoy. However my husband liked it. I don't think I'll dine here again only because I prefer the cook myself experience, simple ingredients, and lighter broth.

Our server checked in with us multiple times and was super considerate, giving us privacy when he noticed we were having a deep discussion. Our food was fantastic. I've been here before with my husband and other friends but this was their first time. They've traveled to Ireland and England before so they were eager to try the Bangers and Mash to compare them. They had no complaints and almost finished it all off. They were thrilled to have leftovers though! Hubby ordered the Fish N Chips and the fish was super moist and tender, the batter light and crispy without being too crispy. He's usually not too into French fries, but he polished off the chips pretty quickly. I had the Irish Breakfast and it was amazing. Two fried eggs but with a warm, silky, runny yolk that I mopped up with the thick slab of brown bread was a great start. The black and white puddings were a wonderful surprise as the black pudding wasn't too mineral-tasting like some blood sausages can be to me. I actually wanted more! The fried potatoes were delightfully fluffy on the inside with a slight crispness on the outside. The rashers of bacon were a little salty for me, but when paired with the potatoes, they were perfect! I love coming back here!

That alone was frustrating, but the food was even more disappointing. The Vietnamese crepe we used to enjoy was completely off. It was thick and doughy like pizza crust instead of the light, crispy texture it used to have (which all Vietnamese crepes have, actually). We ended up throwing most of it away and just eating some of the veggies inside. The spring roll was another letdown. Basically all noodles, hardly any veggies or meat, and only "two shrimp" (really just one shrimp cut in half). I had actually read another review saying the same thing right before writing my update. My husband and I laughed since we were literally about to write the same. Customer service didn't help either. I had to repeat my order three times because the staff member kept stopping to talk to a coworker. It felt really dismissive. Even the Thai tea, while tasty, was only filled about 3/4 of the way. The only decent part of the meal was the vermicelli bowl. I'm not sure if ownership changed, but the flavors, portions, and overall experience were way off from what this place used to be. Honestly, you're better off going to the other Vietnamese spot nearby for better flavor and value.

The menu doesn't say you can't do that anywhere. Not on the board, not in fine print, nowhere. Instead of just making the order, I was told "you can't do that." No explanation. No logic. Nothing. I asked for the manager, and Zana wandered over. She had no clue what the policy even was. She had to stare at the menu board, then ask a coworker, just to come back and tell me no again, still with zero reasoning. Then she hit me with the most ridiculous explanation I've ever heard in a restaurant: it's "implied" that you shouldn't order two soups. Implied? By who? Because it sure wasn't implied to me, and it definitely wasn't written anywhere. Instead of owning the mistake or providing a real answer, she got visibly aggressive the second she was challenged, like I asked her to solve rocket science instead of a lunch order. When I asked for her District Manager to contact me, she took my name and number, but not before throwing out this gem: "Do you go to Panera Bread and do this too?" Yes, actually. And unlike Café Zupas, Panera doesn't whine about it. They encourage it. I left Café Zupas and went straight to Panera for a stress-free lunch. I even kept the receipt so Café Zupas can see how a real company handles customers. Bottom line: the menu is misleading, the manager has no command of the policies, and the attitude was downright unacceptable. If this is how Café Zupas chooses to treat paying customers over something this small, it says everything I need to know. I'll happily spend my money elsewhere.
