This was BAD. Okay to premise this, I go to this panera often and I have never experienced anything like this, nor do I ever complain about wait times because - I get it. So I'm waiting in my car and thirty mins go by. (Drive thru) I'm really not mad but i see the people behind me going crazy. So I get to the window and joke with the girl like "Jesus thirty mins. what are you guys doing in there" and she said yeah and laughed. Mind you, I was smiling at her like going OUT OF MY WAY to be nice because she's probably been getting freaked out on. AND THEN the manager comes to the window and literally SHOVES this ticket that says we're hiring -IN MY FACE. She then proceeds to say " if you have a problem with the wait time let people know we are hiring." So I was completely caught off guard because first of all, I never had a problem with the wait time. So I'm like "okay? I actually need to add something to my order" I needed to add a smoothie because my pregnant best friend asked me to- the manager told me "No, if you need to add something go back around and wait in line again" A THIRTY MIN LINE. Like it was 100% the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced in my life. I work in the food service industry and that was ASTONISHING to me. I wish I had her name her behavior was disgusting. The girl that took my order was really nice and so was the girl that took my payment. But that manger has got to go. ALSO, the smart thing to do would be CLOSE YOUR DRIVE THROUGH IF YOU CANNOT HANDLE IT. There's absolutely no reason to have a drive through open if you cannot run it. If people need their food that badly they could come inside and order it. Because there was zero reason to have a drive through open with a thirty-min wait and an inadequate manager. Other than that, I never have problems with this panera. The drive thru line wait is usually that long, so that wasn't a surprise. They always make my food correctly and the workers are regularly helpful and nice. I usually eat inside. read more

Horrible service. Staff lacks attention to detail. Last week I placed an online order that was "lost" and never filled until I arrived looking for it and staff scrambled to correct it while I waited. They threw me a free cookie, but that didn't help that the bagels I ordered were late for my morning meeting. This week I online ordered the bagel dozen again to place in my home freezer. When I got the bag home I found out that I received only 10 of the 13 bagels I paid for! Plus the everything bagels were not bagged separately so now the plain ones smell like onion & garlic. There was no note on my receipt about missing items. When I called the manager said she would write my name down so I could get 3 free bagels the next time I come in. Whoopee. This Panera location is newly decorated with a nice interior and is fairly clean most of the time. However, the drive-thru is horrible. Be prepared to wait at least 15-20 minutes to wait for your food. I once had waited 30 minutes for my food. I understand that delays happen and am not one to normally complain about such things, but this Panera takes so long that it really is inconvenient. What a shame. read more

I was there at 10 am ,it took me a long time to have an associate taking our order even if the place is not busy.there was no coffee at all ,other guests and my self waited 25 minutes to get coffee .I spoke to every manager and every associate all what I got is " kitchen is backed up.I spoke with a manager named Scott and asked him "do you think that this is a fair customer service ? Do you think I should be back here with this unprofessional service you deliver here? He said he will refund me all what I paid but in the end they refund only one coffee .My tomato soup took exactly 27 minutes to have it .Cassie comes in and offer to get me a coffee from inside .They don't know how to take a care of business ,they couldn't serve few people because it wasn't even busy .They have no idea of customer service.it was the worst experience I had with Panera Bread , just everything is wrong .I believe they didn't prepare for the day because coffee is one of the main product of there concept .I will never go back again .I gave them one star because in yelp there is no zero star but really they deserve no star. read more

I hate the kiosk thing. It did not gi e me a receipt that I could locate. There are no directions, they assume you know what you are doing. However, it is unclear. In addition, The picture on the kiosk page of the Cobb salad I bought clearly had an entire hard boiled egg. When I took my salad home I had only 1/2 an egg and a pretty damn small salad for 11 bucks. I slipped the tomato soup that was $6 for less than 8 oz. Why did I co e back here? This is one of my favorite places to get lunch from! Pick two rocks! All the breads and baked goods are delicious ... I love the peanut butter cookie! French onion soup in a bread bowl is my favorite ... and the turkey bravo sandwich is pure yumminess! Green tea and lemonade = so good! Frozen caramel is nice choice of coffee during the summer months ... during winter their hot lattes are really delicious! Employees are always friendly at this location! read more

My Advice to everyone is if you order online or to go make sure you check your bags before you leave the store. Every time I go to Panera my order is never right, they always forget something. I usually go back to get it or whatever but today I didn't have time to go back because 1. the traffic is horrendous because of the holidays and 2. because I place my order an hour before coming to get it (pick up for 1140) and it wasn't done till 11:50. I know that ten minutes doesn't seem like a lot but when it takes you 20 minutes to get back to your work office and you only get a certain amount of time to eat lunch it becomes an issue. So I come all the way back to my job to find out they forgot an item. I tried to call Panera but forget that!!! I was calling for 20 minutes and I could get no! ONE! finally after the 6th time calling I got someone. She said the only way I can get my money back was to drive back down to the store with the credit card and they would do the refund. Whelp! I don't think my boss who is very busy is going to take the time to drive down to your establishment after you! were the ones who messed up. I said no Thank you!, keep the money, we will no longer be having lunch at your establishment and I hung up. I find it very amazing that they can take the credit card over the phone and online but to get a refund we have to drive all the way to the store with the card to get the refund. Literally never going to Panera in Stroudsburg again. Listen to the reviews. Don't stop here for a number of reasons. Mask mandate has been lifted. Besides the fact that you never had to wear a mask when eating and drinking. I wasn't sure what I wanted with the new expanded bowl menu so I went in to order at a kiosk. No one was in the restaurant nor was I near any employee. I was harassed twice to wear a mask while I was quietly waiting for my food but when I sat down and started to drink my drink it was ok that I didn't have a mask on. Logic??? Beside the fact that their portions keep getting smaller while the prices continue to get larger. I'm over giving my business to establishments that have complete moronic rules. read more

I have visited this location for years. Ever since they moved from the old location, service has declined. Before covid while dining in food took way too long to arrive to our table, restaurant was not busy,soups were served luke warm to cold. Made this aware to mgmt, to no surprise visited this location several times after. Service was the same. Now with Covid. Ordering through the Drive-thru, finding incomplete orders, missing sides. Another example ordered turkey bravo sandwich , sandwich came with chicken. I have complained numerous times, regarding service. Believe me I am not the only one with these concerns. Panera Bread is usually yummy all around (aka throughout their various stores), so what usually changes is their service. The times I've been here have been great! 1) Parking is easy to find. They don't have their "own" lot, but you're still able to find a spot. 2) Service is usually good. The cashiers I've encountered have been friendly and attentive. One time, the cashier didn't get our pastry in time, so another cashier gave it to another customer that ordered after us. When she found out, she apologized, acknowledged her mistake, and offered to give us TWO free pastries. It was a nice gesture and very appreciated. 3) Our food has always been delicious and they make my smoothies thick just how I ask. 4) They have a nice setup and it's a pretty big space. They also have outdoor seating, which is nice. It's never that crowded, but if you're coming here to do work, I suggest bringing headphones, which brings me to... 5) The wifi here actually works! I've been to PB's where the wifi just wouldn't connect. 6) It's good, inexpensive, and a nice place to chill for an hour or two. What are you waiting for? 7) Oh! I have stopped here semi regularly as I'm in the area. The service is totally hit or miss and it is usually a miss. I cannot understand why you can have 10 employees behind the counter, a line out the door, and literally nobody at the cash registers. How can this be!?! Management needs to reassess here their allocations of payroll and staff the registers. I like the food, but the prices don't always justify the product. I ordered a cup of soup today. I paid FOUR DOLLARS AND SIXTY CENTS +tax for exactly 1 cup (8 oz.) of soup. That's ridiculous. I got maybe 6 spoonfuls out of this serving. With so many diners in Stroudsburg, there are really good soups everywhere and you get MUCH more for your $$ read more

For a chain eatery, the food here is better than expected, and they are consistent. BUT, they lose a star because every time I went there, I ordered a tea, and they would assume that I wanted an iced tea. I do not drink iced tea, so then I would have to wait for them to take the iced once back and give me a mug for hot tea. After about ten times of going there, I realized that I had been getting ripped off, as they always charged me for an ICED tea, when they should have been charging me for a HOT tea. I had not previously realized that there is a price difference, and they did not apologize or offer a refund. I have not been back since I realized this. :( read more

I've been here twice for breakfast, months apart, and both times my order was messed up. I didn't order anything special, right off the menu. Since the relocation of this specific location, stroudsburg pa, this establishment has gone down the drain. I came in on a Saturday evening and it was not busy.... it took 20 minutes to place 4 orders... on top of that the register girl did not give me back the correct change!!! Ok after we sat down and got our food... the soup was semi warm ... not hot!!! And now panera doesn't carry hoagie roll for the tuna so they gave me the baguette which was hard hard... seemed like old stale bread!!!! No i will not be coming back to this panera!!! This was the dirtiest Panera I have been in and I'm from NYC. Every table was dirty customers were cleaning. The garbage overfilled. Dishes piled high and it wasn't even busy. Carpet filthy. Just horrible and we waited to stop off a long trip just to go to a Panera what a disaster. On the way out got a coffee but there was no coffee in the dispenser. Really!! I have only had Panera bread once but I was very satisfied. Penera bread is one of those places where you go almost every day for that salad and that piece of bread that you love. Panera bread is like amazing because it has everything wrapped up into one and that is how I like my food and I hope you do too. Now I might just be bugging out here Panera bread has that amazing bread that every place wish they had and they have all things that you would need for a salad more that you could ask for. Always have and always will love paneras - yes it is on the pricey side but once in a blue moon it satisfies my cravings for the tuna baguette sandwich. This location isn't bad - it's clean the times I have been and the staff are friendly too. Was passing through the area and stopped at this location. Food was typical Panera quality. The space is small though and on a cold day you are blasted with frigid air no matter where you sit. Stopped in for lunch, and there was a decently long line. We used the iPads for quick order and had our food in about 15 minutes. The sandwiches and soups were standard Panera quality, but the reason for 2 stars is the absolutely horrible latte I received. It was a soy milk latte that tasted like watered down milk and a splash of regular coffee, with not one bubble of foam. If the line wasn't so long I would have asked for a refund or for it to be remade. I will never order a coffee beverage from a panera again, as my last panera latte experience was just as bad. Sadly this is one of the few decent places to stop on our road trips, so hopefully something new will pop up, preferably a place that knows how to make coffee. I can't believe I'm writing a review on a chain eatery, however, since I frequent this location I had to finally say something. Almost every time we come here, they are out of BREAD! It doesn't matter what time or day of the week but they're always out of stuff (flatbread, baguettes, specialty breads...etc). The old location had a more intimate atmosphere. Now it has the look and feel of a college dorm. The buy $50 gift card get one for $10 is a total scam. The main card arrived in the mail but I never received the bonus one. They claimed that it was emailed to me and it since expired. The email never came. I used to go to the older Panera to attentive friendly faces, great product I was a once a week customer. This new location is a horror show. rude, none caring, unknowledgeable staff. I keep trying//, this will make it try number 4. I go to order a sandwich they don't have the correct bread, I order a sandwich with no cilantro I hate it. They put it on anyway- there was maybe 2 tablespoons of Chicken salad on the sandwich. I ordered onion sop I got onions very little soup. I ordered an oatmeal cookie, oops sorry no oatmeal cookies pick something else. Ordered Asiago Bagels oops, no bagels so I order the Asiago Bread, oops they just sold the last one, I end up with Raisin bread - I kiosk ordered so I had to trade items as I already paid. The gentleman behind the counter kept flipping items on plates back and forth, didn't know how to put an order together. No one knew what they were doing - there is no management, no training. Its a shame, its a great brand. The new building means nothing it looks great, BUT, the service and product are a fail. A consistent fail. I will not go back to this location. Went through the drive-through, ordered a half chicken salad sandwich. What I received was a sandwich tightly rolled into a ball where the bread had become totally diss-formed and it was not anything even remotely related to what I ordered it Had feta cheese and tomato on it. Went back through to correct my order and did not Receive so much as an apology and when they corrected the sandwich it was just as mutilated as the first one, however at least it was the almond chicken salad sandwich. Instead of being of some kind a weird feta tomato thing. They're just throwing food together like it's a pigpen, No professionalism whatsoever extremely disappointed.
