For a General Tso's you expect a little "something". This was sesame chicken minus the seeds. Just thickened sugar water on chicken. The "fried rice" was yellow rice with pork added. I'm not sure why places in the Poconos do this, but there are only a handful of places that make real fried rice. This isn't one of them. The chicken nicely fried, the egg roll not so much. Overcooked and greasy. The cost was $10 and change. It said you get a discount for using cash so I did. No discount. Save yourself the trouble, go somewhere else. Winner - sucked.

The only thing edible was the steamed rice. The sesame chicken was inedible; terrible texture, flavor and the oil it was fried in tasted bad to me, I stopped after one bite. The bbq pork was not great, overly sweet and chewy, I ate a little bit of that with the steamed rice. I had stomach issues that evening and the next day from the food as well. Will never return and advise all to stay away.

On Labor Day weekend Sunday, my wife and I were driving through the Poconos and stumbled upon a…read moreThai restaurant for lunch. Loving Thai food, we decided to try it and were not impressed. The food was absolutely mediocre. We ordered different meals from this place. The food is overpriced; it's not worth it at all. Steamed dumpling: Most standard dumplings should be steamed for 8 to 12 minutes over boiling water. We had them within 5 minutes after we placed the order. Dumpling NOT FRESHLY STEAMED. They look like reheated in a microwave and it was the most bland, and souse no taste. Fried calamari appetizer, battered in gray, and worse than the menu picture shows. Size of the pinky fingernail. Hard and chewy. And tiny, the size of a nickel, and a tiny portion served on a small plate; the sauce was watered-down duck sauce, no flavor Tom Yum Soup: we ordered one small with shrimp (+$2); extra charge, they came out with only 3 small shrimp. Another small tom yum we ordered with chicken +$2 and +$2 shrimp; they came out with nice-sized 4 shrimp and a nice amount of white chicken meat. That is an unacceptable, improper serving of the same dishes with an unequal amount of shrimp for the same-size dishes. Main dish: Crying Tiger Beef (known in Thai as Sua Rong Hai ) is an incredibly small amount of bland test beef, and it costs as much as a portion of appetiser size, for a $15 price of a main course. We love Thai food; I'm comparing it to restaurants in NY and NJ, and it was the absolute worst Thai food I have ever had. Too high prices compared to the quality and size. At the end, there was a 3% service charge for a credit card fee that was never posted anywhere, only at the cash register, until you went to the cash register to pay. That is a scam! What if I didn't have cash? Then what?! Definitely won't come here again.

I did feel sorry for the guy taking orders, he was having a terrible time with the internet it took forever to try to pay w credit- so I wound up paying cash. The register guy did acknowledge the wait AND thanked customers for waiting. That goes a long way with me. Apparently they do online orders too. It seemed like a very busy kitchen and the cooks did have a sense of urgency. While the service was on the slow side at least there was sincere effort there. I would probably go back if I were in the area. I got vegetable Lo Mein and it was delicious just not as many vegetables as I would like- shrimp eggrolls was crispy and tasty. The restaurant is located in an aging, decrepit shopping center next to CVS. I did not get the promised duck sauce nor was offered any sauces so that was a downer.

I arrived on Thursday evening and was surprised that I was the only one in the restaurant. Within several minutes, however, there were ten tables. I had the crispy ginger duck and it was stellar. Tender chicken and delicious seasoning with vegetables. It was one of those meals I didn't want to see end. Absolutely fantastic. Definitely the best duck dish I've had in years. I cannot wait to return!

There seemed to be only 2 servers working the dining are, which is fairly large but was only about a quarter full. There are oilcloth-like tablecloths that they cover with a heavy white paper. Pleasant lighting, lovely decor. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband recently introduced me to the cuisine but has been eating Thai for many years himself. He said the pad thai (w/chicken)was the best he's ever had. I've had many a chicken satay but this was also the best to us(maybe not the peanut sauce). The coconut shrimp were crispy and delicious with a nice tangy sauce & served on a beautiful little salad of fresh greens, diced tomato, fresh pineapple, mango and onion with it's own dressing. We had a piece of "cake of the day" for dessert because, being pistachio lovers, who would turn down "Dubai chocolate cake"? It was served with both a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream and was absolutely delicious. My only complaint would be the servers were not attentive. We had to ask for water refills twice. They checked on us during the appetizer but not for our entrees. As I mentioned, there were only 2 of them for the dining room, but we sat near the kitchen door and they were constantly passing right by our table. All in all, I would definitely return.

The place is the nicest Thai restaurant we've ever been to inside and out. Very well maintained and very clean! We ordered the crispy shrimp appetizer and the chicken satay, both were delicious. I had the best Pad Thai with chicken I ever had, and my wife had the coconut shrimp and loved them. I asked for #3 out of five for the spice and it was almost too spicy, but I handled it since it cleared my sinuses very well. Next time we go I'll choose #2 instead though. We drank ice water and the total bill was over $80.00 so it's not cheap to eat there but the food is well worth it. I overheard the owners were on a once-a-year vacation and the wait staff appeared inattentive and preoccupied. I had to ask for a water refill twice and no one came by to ask how we liked the entrees. It was after 3PM when we arrived and the place was not that crowded so the lack of attention by the staff was surprising. They may have been short staffed, so we were forgiving about the service. Oh yes, we split the Dubai chocolate cake desert with delicious peanut coated vanilla ice cream that was expensive but to die for. We chose not to drink alcohol and are happy we did since the prices were exorbitant, especially their signature martinis around fifteen bucks! They have a nice selection of beers too with the least expensive domestics at $5.50. We don't drink wine but think they had that too. All in all, the place is excellent and we are looking forward to our next visit to that area so we can stop in again and enjoy the food.
