I'm always pretty happy with my orders and the taste is on point. But this time my sandwich was mixed up with another sandwich. Someone in my group got my sandwich and I got his sandwich. By the time I opened it, it turned out to be his. He ate up my sandwich since he didn't know which sandwich his wife bought for him. I didn't open mine until he finished eating it. So please make sure you label the sandwiches correctly. I grabbed that sandwich purely by looking at the way it was marked. Other than that., I'm still going to support this local Panera. Thanks! read more

I've been to this cafe twice in the past week. Both times the workers see me and enter (they're in the back by food prep) and don't greet or come to take an order. Twice I've had to walk back and request a person because 1) I needed a gift card which isn't on the kiosk and 2) I bought a coffee and there were neither cups nor creamer. When I requested creamer (and brought the empty pitcher to the staff in the back who refused to walk to the front) I overhead them say "doesn't he know there's half and half at the coffee stand." I had already checked and there was NOT half and half available either. After all this not a single apology or thank you for me helping them do their job. I frequent many Paneras and this is by far my the worst due mainly to the laziness of the employees. I only go here if I must because it's clear they and management do not care or heed feedback. This is why Panera as a brand is struggling, your people do not care about customers at all. read more

Panera bread as a company is great. But what causes the reason for a one star review. Is almost always associated with the employee. And sure enough my interaction with this employee Noreen is and most likely will always be a disaster. Her greeting made me feel unwelcome. The tone in her voice made me feel like I was a bother to her. Life is too short. Be nice. There is no reason to be mean to people. The tone in the voice is important in the customer service industry. read more

Poor management, which leads to poor customer service. It's a nice store, but they don't tend to keep it very clean. I'm sure the food would be OK, but I never managed to make it past the customer service before I don't eat. read more

how are they out of baguettes? every single time. I am deeply surprised this place is still open. They're running on fumes, I can't pinpoint when this place went downhill, I don't know who they have hired or who's in charge of any kind of management there but the place is run like absolute dog shit. For a place that I used to enjoy in my high school years, I am deeply disappointed. read more

Quality of food and taste were fine, even tho it was only half. We ordered a full sandwich, which was $11.79. We didnt realize until we got home that they had only given us a half of sandwich. We immediately called explaining the situation, but were told by Ben that the only thing he could do was have us come back in & they would make the other half or refund us the amount for the other half-Today. In that we live half hour away, we would have used more gas than it was worth to drive all the way back. He told us it was Panera policy-they couldnt mail us a gift card refund, we couldn't come in another day, there was nothing else he could offer. In reading the other reviews, I shouldn't be surprised, subpar customer service seems to a trend with this Panera. read more

I Bought 2 Green goddess on Tuesday ,The staff put the rotten Avocado in it! After 2 days, I had time to go over and report the problem to the manager, and she said she could only write it down. Handled by another manager! next day, I went over again to respond to the problem. A young male manager immediately apologized and made me a new order. that is why I gave 2 stars. Otherwise they only deserve 0 stars. read more

It seems that every Panera is just subpar, super slow, and underwhelming. I want it to be great and I keep trying but the service is unbelievably slow (25 min for a sandwich) when there are fewer than 2 orders and more than 5 people at the front. read more

I am OK with this location, I don't know why the rating is fairly low. In terms of the place being a part of a chain, I think this is at the top of that chain. I've definitely been to Panera's that I did not like. Friendly, good location. What more do you want? You can't expect the best gourmet foods you've ever had. The bathroom could've been cleaner though... I will say that. read more

I just walked in & out of Panera Bread in Solon with no food. . I was not greeted. I was not asked to wait as the associates were talking to each other. One woman walked right towards me & I thought I was going to get my order taking. She walked passed me & joined the conversation. I don't beg businesses to take my money. I will starve first. read more

Got a chicken teriyaki and broccoli bowl delivered tonight. There is one piece of broccoli in it... And it is literally mostly paper bowl. Not worth the 12+ dollars it cost. Panera has always been a favorite of mine but this location has gone downhill over the last couple years. Will not be giving this store my business again. read more

Just took a quick coffee with a friend after a movie. With Panera bread being a chain; not much to be surprised for. The place was nice but pretty dirty (floor and tables). It was not rushed hours, quiet Sunday afternoon and I believe we were 5 in the store. They always have many pastries and goodies in display (don't look at the calories, otherwise you might turn around). read more

Ordered online and arrived 10 mins after receiving the 'order complete' notification. Still not ready. Waited another 5 mins after asking before being told there was a 'problem with our order.' Turns out their chicken was frozen and they had nothing for us. We could either buy something else, 'redeem' our sandwiches another day, or get a refund. Took another 5 mins for them to actually get us a refund. No apology, cold servers, will not be returning to this location. read more

I LOVE Panera, but this location has the worst service and employees. First they get your food wrong, then give you a bad attitude if you ask for what you originally ordered. This isn't the first time it has happened, I called and complained to the main manager, but still the same awful service. I feel bullied when I ask for what wanted, and this is not what I come to know and love about my favorite restaurant. We decided to go to the other near by location to avoid feeling stressed and bullied. read more

The employees were friendly when they were not on their cell phones and the dining area was in need of cleaning.

Ordered delivery, it arrived on time. Driver was friendly. Ordered 1/2 salad/soup combo and the soup was good. The salad was a tiny, wilted thing... pretty sad and I didn't even eat it. Not worth the price. read more

Went through drive through and ordered a sausage, cheese, egg sandwich, which is served on a baguette. It is obvious the sausage and egg are microwaved products - no better than what they serve at a school cafeteria. At least McDonald's cooks their eggs and sausage on a griddle. Baguette was ok. I ordered a coffee with cream and 1 packet of splenda. I received a coffee and there were two creamers and two packets of sugar in the bag with the sandwich. I think the pandemic has made me aware of the low quality of food that is served at places. read more

Cashier had horrible customer service skills. She had a terrible attitude and then gave us 11 bagels instead of the 13 that I paid for. This was our first visit to Panera's so I waited at the front of the restaurant for our to-go order, not realizing that you're supposed to go to the back of the restaurant. So while my family waited in the car, I waited a long time in the restaurant, right by her register, before asking how much longer it would be. My order had been sitting on the counter in the back for a while. Go somewhere else - these guys are so awful! read more

Terrible fucking service. Waited over 20 minutes for an order. Don't go here, even if they hold a gun to your head.

Consistently terrible. Our order always seems to be wrong or items are missing (salad dressings, baguettes, etc). The staff is subpar, as well. On my most recent visit, I had to show the cashier where an item was on her register that I wanted to order. She literally flipped her computer screen over and I had to find the button for her. I was in disbelief. If you're really craving Panera, go to a different location. This one is an absolute mess. read more

Listen, I have to agree with most others. Yes, Panera is expensive for what you're getting. But if you're in Solon, you know there's a serious lack of coffee shops in this city. Your options are Panera or Starbucks. As a work from home-r and someone with a lot of graduate student friends, meeting to work is kind of my thing. This location is always dirty. If you're coming here, be prepared to bus a table before you sit in it. I always have to decide which I think is the least disgusting to sit at, wipe it down with napkins and throw away the trash (they should give me a discount on my meal for my cleaning work). Yes, I know I could just not come here, but every time I hope it will be better than the last, and again, horrendous lack of options in the area and it will do in a crunch. Also, be prepared to wait over 20+ minutes if you're getting food, even if it's just a bowl of soup. Again, half the time, we're also working, so it doesn't mind us too greatly, but the hairs on your head may grey if you're just standing by the pick-up counter. All gazillion people currently standing around the corner look like they're about to Hulk out. I totally get it from a staff side- half the people that work at Panera are kids that have to be trained, but they look so miserable while doing so. Pros: coffee is always fresh and the Panera pick-up shelf in the back has always been on time for me. Pastries are always fresh. Maybe skip lunch and go straight for the sweets. read more

I was told.this store in solon is the worst but its close to work so I gave it several try's always something wrong or missing. They have terrible Quality on all occasions. This place's service is beyond bad. It actually makes me FURIOUS. My children like their food so we go there more often than I am willing to. The line is always long. The person who works at the counter is ALWAYS NEW. On 3/2/2018, it took us more than 20 minutes in line to place orders with a BRAND NEW person who clearly has no clue how to work the station. We ordered 3 items, all of them came out wrong. Even the person who's putting the food together got frustrated and yelled at the register's direction. So I decided to opt for rapid order online the following days. My daughter has a swim meet and we have to leave town early on 3/4/2018. I was delighted to find from the Panera App that I can pick up my rapid pick-up at 6:35am. When I get to the SOLON location however, the people won't open the door. I knocked on the door and one lady reluctantly came. She just pointed to the sign and mouthed "we open at 7" and turned to leave. I waved my phone at her and let her know that the APP said I can pick up my food at 6:35. She again, grudgingly opened the door and said, "WELL YOUR ORDER IS READY BUT WE CAN'T GIVE IT TO YOU BECAUSE WE OPEN AT 7". After some exchange plus ONE PHONE CALL because she left during our conversation!!!, she finally grabbed my already ready food for me. I WILL NOT GO BACK TO THIS RIDICULOUS STORE, EVER. read more

Sadly this is probably the worst Panera I have ever been to. Since I work in Solon i have frequented this establishment many times in the past however the last year or so it has gone down hill drastically. Terrible manager who is very unprofessional. On one occasion I witnessed the girl that was making the food's long waist length braids touching the food, it was so disgusting that I swore I would never return. How does management allow someone to leave their hair hanging down in the food they are making. read more

I come into the restaurant to relax and do some work on my laptop. I get there about 1 and the staff wasn't too loud, just unprofessional. I walk to the counter to wait for the younger employee to greet me and she doesn't, luckily an older employee greets me, she was friendly and helpful. Later around 4pm I'm assuming the new crew came in and they were SO LOUD. Using swear words, sexual terms etc.. I spoke with the male boss and he was so sweet and understanding. I will be coming here again because it's comfortable, just disappointed in these young kids. read more

My family and I went to this spot twice and they weren't that friendly. We walked in the first time and they looked us up and down and gave us weird looks. They gossip about people that go in and outta the store. The first time it was my brother, mom and me just enjoying the day(didn't separate us),the second time it was 4 members of my family and they complained we couldn't sit together cause of regulations. A person walked in and the mask fell off his nose and they complained as if he was gonna get them all sick yet he was all healthy no cough or anything. They are a bit stuck up and rude to costumers. Most of the people were the same as there week prior. These visits were literally a week a part, there soups are a bit watered down and don't taste the same as the other Panera's I've been to. I'd rather go to a different restaurant knowing how this one is. read more

Only registers open were in front of breakfast menu. Makes it confusing when they tell you breakfast is over, so you have to walk to the other part of the counter to see the lunch menu. Then walk back over to the breakfast counter to order. Also horribly expensive. Service was slow. Counter help didn't smile or seem to care about their job. For the price of a sit down breakfast it should be better service/food. read more

painfully slow, disorganized, and a bit dirty - out of iced tea, spoons, listed soups, and other random things. Disengaged staff that is in no hurry. So this morning we decided to give Panera in Solon, Ohio a chance to WOW us, and to actually have breakfast food ready to serve for their patrons. Since we have had nothing short of bad experiences here over the last 3-4 years and actually haven't spent our time going to this location we figured that hey, it's Saturday, it's officially Spring and maybe the Experience will be better. So my wife decided to download the app in order to place mobile order so we could eat on the go. This is not a new thing for most places (McDonalds has a mobile app) so we didn't think that we would run into any issues. Well our receipt in the mobile app stated that our order would be ready at 8:50. When we arrived just shy of 9:00am my wife was greeted by a hostess who was very kind. She informed my wife that our order couldn't be completed since they were out of the items we ordered. At that point she then proceeded to notify a manager to further explain the issue and to answer any questions about the inconvenience. Sean ( the manager) abruptly snatched the order ticket out of the hand of the hostess and began to tell my wife that yeah, we are out of the items you ordered but we have other stuff. Well , we didn't order "other stuff" and we placed our MOBILE order almost an hour prior to showing up. No call and no communication from the Panera staff in regards to our order meant that all should have been well. So here we are. Again. At Panera, listening to someone offer us other option with a rude tone, while we try to spend OUR time and money with an establishment that clearly doesn't grasp the business concept of "if you run out , replenish". So we ended up getting a refund and wasting almost 1.5 hours of our life that we will never be able to recoup all because we tried to order breakfast from a location that has failed us time and time again in the past. Never again Panera Solon ! Never again. read more

This might be the worst experience I've ever had with a restaurant, ever. Two weeks ago, I attended a 5 day retreat in nearby Novelty. We ordered catering, since there was about 15 of us, and filled out a form as to what our orders were each day. They did not get even one day correct for me. Not one. Left things off that I wanted, added things I explicitly stated on the form I did not want, and one day I even got a completely different menu item I never ordered. I was also unable to attend two of the days, and did not receive a refund. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. I can only sum it up as dirty, employees and a manager that will do the absolute minimum so they can end their shift. I ordered a pick two and my sandwich was smashed. read more

Only person in the drive thru and it took 15 minutes to make a smoothie. Another time I was kicked out 15 minutes before closing mid-meal.

I tried calling ahead to place an order so I wouldn't have to wait. The employee refused to take the order and said there weren't any customers in the store and to wait till I got there. When I arrive there was one customer and six employees stand around talking. The employees ignored me for several minutes before a new employee came to take my order. I asked for a duet meal and he kept asking if I wanted a pick two. I told him no I want the duet meal with tuna salad and soup. I also stressed that I don't want the bread. He again asked me if I wanted the pick two and I again told him no I want the duet meal with tuna salad without bread and veggie soup. He was ringing up a pick two and didn't know what a duet was. Finally another employee that had been up front came over to help so for a third time I told them I want the duet meal with tuna salad no bread and veggie soup. She was able to ring up my order correctly and asked me if I was a rewards member and I told her yes and swiped my card and paid. Without even waiting for the receipt to print or offer it to me she turned away saying they'll call my name when my order is ready. So I go to the pickup counter and there were four more employees standing around talking who looked like they were focused on closing instead of filling orders. I spoke to one that appeared to be a manager as she was dressed differently from the others and told her about my experience and also let her know that I didn't want bread. She asked if I just wanted the veggies in a bowl with the tuna and I told her yes. I also told the other employee making the food I didn't want bread. Another employee who was actually making my order made it on bread. By this time it had been 15-20 minutes since I walked in the restaurant. I told them I still needed to get to the grocer before they closed in 10 minutes. They asked if I wanted them to make it again and I told them I don't have the time. When I got home and unwrapped the sandwich to remove the bread there was barely any tuna salad on the sandwich. It appears this store doesn't care about the customers, the quality and quantity of the food and the accuracy of the orders. I would not recommend this store. Find another store that is managed better. read more

Decent, if overpriced for breakfast. Lunch/dinner is overpriced as inconsistent quality. Coffee is average. Espresso drinks are pretty good, I'm not a coffee connoisseur but they get the job done. The bagels here are by no means traditional style, they are almost like a croissant/ bagel hybrid but I like them that way. My favorite thing is probably the mini soufflés, always consistently delicious. As for lunch/dinner, your best bet is to only get a seasonal item once or twice. If you order the same thing each week, it will decrease in portion size and quality until eventually, the restaurant has to make substitutions and they take it off the menu. And the staff will by no means be apologetic or helpful about it. Another fun trick is that of you order to go, your portion is smaller than if you eat in. what? They do occasionally have some great salads or sandwiches, but it's always expensive for what you get. And it always feels like you're part of some corporate marketing scheme. read more

Thank goodness for a sophisticated chain eatery! The thing that really struck me was that they were doing a fund raiser with a local charity- something that corporates usually frown upon. But this gave the place such a personal neighbor hood touch. Plus the free wifi is a bonus. read more

IF I could give a ZERO I would!!!! WORST customer service ever!!!!! The manager Shonnie (sp?) is extremely rude and encourages her staff to follow her lead. I have a legitimate medical reason to not wear a mask and when I entered the store I was handed a mask to order. I politely declined and said why. She told me she wouldn't take my order with out a mask and offered no other solution... I proceeded to tell them it was a violation of the ada act and the manager came up and said you can do online ordering and curbside, VERY RUDLEY, and pointed to the door. I asked if someone could please come outside and take my order due to the fact I have cash, not a debit card for my transaction today. There is no drive thru option either... as she pointed to the door and listened to me ask my question politely she chuckled loudly and mocklingly said have a great day!!!! And her employees all followed giggling!! READ THE OTHER REVIEWS!!!! The manager and staff have been terrorizing customers for years.... and PANERA DOES NOTHING..... look at these reviews y'all!!! Crazy this is still happening and allowing this woman to belittle hard working PAYING customers.... regardless of the mask situation, I wasn't rude y'all and politely asked for compassion...
