I got the shack burger that had the fried portobello mushroom on top. The burger was really good and all of the toppings went well with it. the only thing that I didn't like about it was I thought the mushroom was a little chewy. I really had to bite hard to get through it. I also got fries with the cheese sauce. The fries were really crispy on the outside and the cheese was different than your standard dipping cheese. The color was a lot whiter than normal and it had a very good creamy taste. I'm not sure what type of cheese it is but it must not be cheddar.

We stopped here late on a Saturday night for a milkshake as a dessert. The employees were all very nice, helpful and working very hard late at night. We waited a little for the milkshake but I think it tasted great!

I remember when this place first opened a few years ago. The lines were long and people were at the registers. Now I know why this place wasn't so busy when I recently stopped in. The restaurant was filthy, the registers were unmanned (self-service tablet was used for ordering), and employees were chatting and laughing it up in the kitchen--nobody that worked there could be seen. It was such an odd feeling, like the place was on auto-pilot. My daughter and I figured out how to order on the tablet, grabbed a cup for my drink, and went to the soda fountain to grab a Coke Zero. The drink was flat and full of a lot of foam..Diet Coke, same thing. Tried the Dr. Pepper...nothing but water. I just paid $3 for an unpalatable drink. When I finally was able to get the attention of an employee in the kitchen (interrupting the loud conversation taking place), she looked like she couldn't be bothered--and she wasn't. Nobody came out to the soda dispenser the 90 minutes I was there hanging out. Our food finally came out and it looked yummy. Korean BBQ burger, bacon avocado burger, two fries and a maple snickerdoodle milkshake. The fries and the milkshake were really tasty, but the burgers were nothing special. My daughter's burger looked like it only had half a bun and it was soggy; my avocado bacon burger was flavorless. This was a waste of $38 that included a tip that I now regret leaving. Certainly, nobody earned it that day. Such an underwhelming and disappointing first experience.

While I have heard about this place from many people, I have never stopped here before. Since I was out of town for work and wanted something sweet, we decided to stop. I had a shake and it was okay, not one that I will run back to have another but not bad either

We stopped by here for a quick bite. The location was not the cleanest but it was okay. We got our food to go. I ordered the Shackburger which was delicious. My husband and I split the bacon cheese fries. Those were filling and tasty. The service was okay overall, I love the food here so I will keep coming back

We were on our way to Swenson's and my wife said that she "craved" some Shake Shack. So we find ourselves in Shake Shack for the second-time ever. So half-way to Swenson's, I pull into a parking lot and head the opposite direction to head-over to Shake Shack in Pinecrest. Soo glad we did! The food, like before tasted great! The workers are friendly and accommodating and the place is kept clean and welcoming. The beverage and condiment bar was well-kept and everything was in-stock. We ended up getting a follow-up order of their bacon cheese fries as it was just so good. I also tried their 6 Ct nuggets (BTW, it was a nice surprise to find 7 in there! ). Those were gone quick, so quick I forgot to grab a photo. Similar to Chick-fil-A, in-terms of appearance, but much crunchier and a bit bigger. The BBQ sauce threw me off tho! It's less tangy, and it's not your Sweet Baby Ray's. Maybe I'll try some honey mustard next time. Maybe some people like the BBQ ‍ Anyways, again, we will be coming back. I'll also be utilizing the app next time, as in the last couple of months, we've already been here twice. I have a feeling we'll be seeing this place more and more.

She checked on us consistently and handled an increasingly frustrating situation with real professionalism. She deserves a raise. Now for the rest of it. We were seated at 5:00 PM for what we hoped would be a lovely dinner. Our steaks didn't arrive until 7:30. Two and a half hours. For steaks. We watched other tables turn over. We finished our drinks. We ran out of things to talk about while waiting. The front-of-house team kept apologizing, and we appreciated that -- but apologies don't cook food. When the steaks finally landed on the table, they were rare. We had ordered medium. At that point, it was 7:30, we were starving, and sending them back wasn't a realistic option -- we'd have been eating at 9:00 PM. So we cut into undercooked steaks and made the best of it. When we raised the issue, the manager offered 30% off the bill. For a two-and-a-half-hour wait and improperly prepared food we had no real choice but to accept? That felt like a gesture designed to close the conversation rather than actually make things right. RH Rooftop has all the ingredients for a special night out -- the atmosphere is unmatched and the service staff clearly cares. But the kitchen isn't operating at the level this room demands, and management's idea of accountability falls short. Cocktails at sunset? Absolutely. Dinner with any real expectations? Not yet.

I had called the restaurant prior to inquire about the menu and was recommend by David to order the cod. I came back 2 hours later and was warmly greeted by him and he still remembered my call from earlier! He assured me I would get a large portion after I mentioned my budget. Inside was busy but not crowded. Lots of servers up and about. Very modern interior, clean bathroom as well. Per recommendation, I went with the crab crusted cod and oh my goodness, was it delicious. The crab topping was perfect texture wise and and had a slightly sweet flavor you expect of fresh crab. The cod was so tender, fall apart in your mouth type and was perfectly seasoned with a sauce to go on top. Fish had a slight spicy kick and that elevated the flavor beyond your typical cod fish, I suspect it was Cajun seasoning. The vegetable base was expctional as well. Fresh rice along with zucchini and corn all drizzled with the same delicious tangy sauce as the fish. At the end of the meal I complimented him on his recommendation and he told me their secret is the fish is always fresh from the morning, never frozen. And the cherry on top is this whole plate of food was only $26. For such a tasty, fresh, and large portion, that price is a steal. For context BJ Brewhouse next door will charge 36 for a tiny 5 oz fillet and mushy rice. Overall this cod was the best cod I have ever tasted and ranks among the top 2 pieces of fish I've ever eaten. Having tasted fish from Hawaii, California, Florida this cod dish at the price point of $26 easily surpasses $50 fish dishes I've had at fine dining restaurant in Cleveland and abroad. Highly recommend and ask for David if you can! He'll take care of you well.

Tasted great, super crispy on the outside, chicken not the most juicy but still tender. 4/5. Also ordered the truffle orcchiette, pork chop, and heirloom carrots. The truffle orcchiette had a great al dente texture but surprisingly compared to the other yelper reviews, was saltier than expected. 4/5 Favorites were definitely the pork chop and heirloom carrots. The pork chop came without the bone, already chopped up, and was the he most tender pork chop I've had. 5/5 The carrots were so well seasoned, with a great charred taste and came with an addicting puree. 5/5 Service was fantastic, with great recommendations. Eight years worth of Fairmount moments later, this review is well overdue. AMBIANCE: The ambiance allows you to slow down and enjoy your company. The restaurant is dim lit, has fireplaces, and loungey atmosphere. It somehow feels warm and I heard a lot of people refer to it as a second home (people are always so friendly here!). There is ample space - three bars, main dining space, and huge outdoor oasis bar. Nestled in Cedar Fairmount neighborhood, you'll also be able to enjoy historic neighborhood. There are seating arrangements if you're craving company or want to enjoy your date. Seating options include couches by the fireplace, tables, and high tops. Fairmount is delightful during every season. During the summer you can enjoy the bar and patio. In the winter you can dine at the igloos. I prefer all seasons here. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu at Fairmount is impressive and has exciting seasonal/weekly additions. You'll never get bored. The cocktails here are refined, very boozy, and very well crafted. The food is seriously delicious, and consistent every single time. I've been impressed with every dish. The dishes and drinks frequently follow the seasons. During my latest visit I enjoyed Butter Pecan Warm Cider with bourbon ($12, so bold and boozy, tastes like fall). I also ordered Fig Trouble Little China ($15, a more rich version of Old Fashioned, so delicious). I also tasted Short Rib & Risotto for the very first time ($28, such a delicious dish, every bite was just amazing). My favorites? Ah, so hard! I'll go with the Fairmount Burger! It's angus beef burger with bacon-fig chutney. It's so delicious! I can't even be serious about meat at the other burger places, this is easily the best burger in the city. My seasonal favorite? Kevin McCallister seasonal drink that resembles coquito or eggnog. The drink is topped with rice paper that includes the design of Kevin from Home Alone. It's such a fun tradition! I look forward to this drink all year and always tell the world about it! SERVICE: The service is excellent. I haven't been anywhere where service is right on point every single time. Everyone is nice - the owner, hosts, and waitstaff. You truly feel seen and like the most important guest. I've visited previously while on dates and frequently dine here solo, always had the most pleasant service. EVENTS: Many people book events here for their non-profits or companies. As far as individual events, Fairmount hosts a fun NYE party every year! PARKING: Onsite parking lot is available at the back of the building. You can enter through the front doors on Cedar or right through the parking lot door. There are numerous reasons why I love the Fairmount. I consider it to be the best dining experience in the Cedar Fairmount neighborhood of Cleveland Heights. I also love how the owner Jake is very engaged in the community and is incredibly friendly with the surrounding business owners. I'll choose this place again and again for calming ambiance, crafted cocktails, and delicious food. To many more years of Fairmount and at Fairmount!
