All I wanted was a bagel and coffee... didn't seem like an unreasonable request. But here we are... maybe there has been turnover and the people running Panera just forgot what a bagel was. If so, they should really take it off the menu... because what they actually serve doesn't even loosely resemble a bagel. It was more like a dry, crusty, multigrain hamburger bun... only flatter... and burned. The series of poor decisions that lead to this morning's train wreck of breakfast disappointment is mind boggling. I really can't blame any single person involved in the order... because there was a fundamental disconnect between the general American understanding of what the concept of a "bagel" is and what this Panera is dropping into a bag and hoping they were close enough... I think there were 5 or 6 individuals working at the time I stopped in... and I just can't understand why one of them didn't stop and tell the others: "Wait a minute... this isn't a bagel. This is just dry, crusty bread!" I stop at panera because I had a taste for fresh baked bread, soup , fresh veggies and a French dip sandwich. The French bread and sandwich was dreadful, greasy and over microwaved meat that was tough!. The black bean soup was tasteless and was so hot that again, it was put in the microwave on 6 minutes. I was so sad and disappointed with this slop food. I would not recommend panera food for my enemies. 1/2 of French dip sandwich sits in the bag, my stomach is turning. What a waste of my money. Absolutely awful! We ordered through door dash and also called PB directly to confirm order and make sure we would receive breadsticks. When the food arrived it was completely messed up. There were no breadsticks, the "bowl" of broccoli cheddar was in a cup, and only half full. The 1/2 sandwich that came with the squash soup was completely different than what was ordered. It was also so over heated that there wasn't much inside, and it was rock hard. The pizza was burnt. We called PB immediately to let them know and was told we would receive a full refund that would take up to 10 days. Day 12, after not receiving my refund I called and was told I would only receive 1/2 of my refund in 10 days. This is unacceptable and poor business. I spent $46 for crap food and awful service. Stopped here for a quick breakfast. Immediately served at the counter by friendly staff. I had the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich and an orange scone with a cup of coffee. My wife had the bacon, egg, and tomato wrap and added avocado with a pumpkin muffin and a soda. Food came out quickly and was really good and fresh. The only challenge my wife had was that her wrap included some greens and a dressing that were not included in the product description on the menu. The person taking my order wasn't willing to find out if I could get crackers with my soup and acted like I didn't know what I was talking about when I asked about a type of cookie they used to have. Then my buzzer didn't work so a server had to come and find me to verify my order, and she didn't seem to believe me when I said the buzzer hadn't gone off (it was sitting right in front of me the whole time). In the past I have gone to Panera and had okay experiences. Today however, was much different. The manager was so kind to us and took time to stop us and give us a number after noticing we did not have one. Mind you this was at lunch hour and it was extremely busy. He also gave us a full refund back on my food because it was a long wait. He was so kind and so genuine. They were also out of my vegan option that I usually get so he made the closest thing to it and it was amazing. It's so reassuring to know that there is still people out in the world who show great customer service and care towards their customers. I wish I would've caught his name but I left Panera today with a full heart and a smile on my face. Don't ever visit this location! I normally love Panera Bread, but had a disappointing last visit. First off one of the people in my group was trying to order free. The man at the register pulled out a huge, massive folder about 8 inches thick. There was a line and he took his time paving through the folder, saying "this will take a while" bitterly. He said inside this folder was the gluten free menu, they ended up only having 'black bean soup' that was gluten free. After ordering it we all ordered. I got the steak and cheddar panini which is usually great but this time tasted old, and there was no horseradish sauce. Sadly, the black bean soup ended up being just black beans from a can heated up with some Taco seasoning. It was charged as a full meal. I told the manager our plight and she kindly said she would take care of us. The gluten free girl ordered a chicken Caesar salad and I ordered another panini after she offered. They brought out the salad with no chicken or dressing, just vegetables. And only brought me half a sandwich with, again no horseradish sauce. It's Panera! Pretty good soups, salads and sandwiches. I wish at times that they had more options for vegetarians. Join the club for free and you get free things and discounts once in a while. Its always clean and they bring the food to you! If you come at night they may get out of certain breads but I enjoy most of their breads so thats no problem! Will definitely come back! read more

Just a terrible experience at this Panera bread this morning! I spent almost $60 on some breakfast sandwiches for my sales team, and ordered a tote of coffee as well, they prepared the food forgot the coffee. I had to remind them that I still didn't have my coffee, they apologized for not starting it, I waited another 15 minutes then went to the front to ask if the coffee was finished and they informed me that it had just been sitting in the back and they forgot to hand it to me. I am from out of town, and I've had much better experiences with other Panera stores, I think the manager of the store needs to get a handle on customer service. read more

Disappointing my wife on Mother's Day I'm not one for bad reviews but my experience so far today with Panera has been nothing but a disappointing headache. I went through the drive through on Mother's Day with my wife and children as they wanted to take their mom out for breakfast. When we ordered they were out of half of the breads your breakfast sandwiches on so we gladly adjusted our order to accommodate. We live out of town so we got our order and headed home. Upon arriving home we checked our bag for our 4 orders and found one to be wrong and one (my wife's on Mother's Day) to be missing. We checked our receipt and the order was entered wrong on the sandwich my daughter ate but we were charged for the full order. When we called the restaurant back to complain it took 6! SIX calls before we were answered! The phone rang to an automated system that we pressed 5 to speak to the manager and the phone would ring for a few seconds and then disconnect. So not only were we not being answered we were literally being hung up on. On call 4 we finally selected a different option and ended up getting someone on the phone at the OTHER location in town. We told him what happened and were told we need to call that location and deal with them. There was nothing he could do. No I'm sorry or empathy just not my problem talk to them. 2 more calls later we finally get "Jon" on the phone at the location we stopped at. Jon was unable to get us a manager when we told him the issue there was no apology just we'll write your name down in a book and you can have two sandwiches next time you stop, "we are 20 tickets behind right now". Nothing to fix the experience today and after all of it I don't want to come back, I want refunded for what we purchased. Once Jon was done talking there was no goodbye or apology or empathy just "Click" and he hung up. On the receipt it actually says "Accuracy Matters - Your order should be correct every time. If it's not, we'll fix it right away, and give you a free treat for your trouble. Just let an associate know." These are clearly just empty words and not in practice at your location.
