My Buttermilk pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon.
William James E.

Great Atmosphere and the best place to make a life choice! Had brunch with my future in-laws and Cody. After lively conversation and laughter, do I need to say great food? We went on our way, only after the moment of truth. I asked my future Father in-law for my Beautiful Blessing's hand in marriage, he gave his Blessing! She was overjoyed! As was I! I swear that she picked him up with the strength of her happiness!

Nice homey setting.

My family and I took a weekend in Sioux Falls, SD for change of scenery. Our Sunday breakfast stop was The Original Pancake House. GOOD call! First, though they were slammed with business, we were seated very quickly. They told us half an hour, and we were at our table within 10 minutes. Our server was very pleasant, and cheerful. We had waters and coffee within a couple of minutes. For breakfast I had the Three Little Pigs in a blanket. I also ordered two eggs scrambled on the side. My pancakes were delicious wrapped around three plump, beautifully seasoned breakfast sausages. Real maple syrup was a bonus. My eggs were as good as I've ever had in a little restaurant. Light and buttery, and clearly prepared with care. My wife had the crepes with blueberries and lemon curd & mascarpone filling. They were great! My son had the Jr. Plate, 3 pancakes with thick-sliced bacon. The bacon was so good he was compelled to ask his mom and I to try it. It was great! He had strawberries and cream as an add-on. I highly recommend this place. I can't imagine a future trip to Sioux Falls that won't include a stop here for breakfast or brunch.

Meat Lovers Omelette, pancakes, extra side of bacon.

My wife, a friend and I went to the Original Pancake House today and the food was absolutely excellent. They, have a great atmosphere it's very up beat. It was super busy and the waitress was not flustered at all she was excellent. Kamryn did a great job. We loved it. The meat omelette was perfect. The extra side of bacon was done but it was extra thick. It's true belly bacon so almost no fat. It is expertly done. Definitely a must stop if you have time. For breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

Such a nice breakfast place for the weekend! There is also a lot of parking at the front of the restaurant. It's relatively quiet with lots of families that come here. I would highly recommend joining the waitlist prior to arriving to the restaurant. You can join by clicking on their website and filling out your details. Our waitress was very nice and efficient! There's a large selection of breakfast foods ranging from pancakes to omelets.

Ham and cheese omelet Everybodys favorite both came with 3 pancakes, whipped butter and warm syrup.

Fast seating for a Sunday morning, ordered the Everyone's Favorite with pancakes, wife ordered ham and cheese omelet with pancakes.

The French toast wasn't the best, but not bad. The pancake and hash browns however, were really good and worth 5 stars! Prices were reasonable and service was quick and friendly. A great breakfast food location!

Killer filler Dutch Lemon Pancake! Big fluffy stuffed corned beef omelette! Pancakes with butter and syrup - hot coffee, great service!

Gluten-free crepes!

So. Many. Gluten-Free. Options! First, I'm glad we discovered this place the day before we left town... because if we'd found it sooner I'd have eaten there every day and gained about 500lbs from all the amazing yumminess to be had. Being GF usually means I have to sit there and drool when others eat pancakes, waffles, etc. It's been years since I've had a crepe... since I've never ever seen a gluten-free one until now! And these were absolutely delightful. The blueberries were fresh & the cheese filling stuff in this one was just... o.m.g. I also haven't had pigs-in-a-blanket since I was a kid. It was like taking me back to my childhood but tasting totally delicious and different at the same time. Not as delicious as the crepe, so if you like bold flavor go for those. But if you love sausage (and these were incredible) and pancakes, go ahead and be a kid again and order the grownup-sized piggies. I won't judge. While there was a wait, it wasn't super long. The staff was friendly and quite familiar with gluten issues (and did I mention how expansive their GF menu is?!?) At first I didn't know what to expect since the place has a country kitchen feel with "down home cookin' atmosphere." But the menu is very modern and they take allergies seriously. I'd give more stars if I could, just because they also had GF chocolate chip pancakes... even though I didn't get to try those. Yet.

We had a breakfast feast today at The Original House of Pancakes. Excellent food and excellent service provided by our waitress, Shanna. Thank you! The breakfast spread pic was comprised of: Dutch baby, Swedish pancakes (top of pic) , side of sausage patties, and the condiments plate ( 2 maple syrups, 2 dishes of lingonberry, 2 butters, and one highly addictive container of whip cream) I had the Dutch baby and I had to add a side of lingonberry to put on the Dutch baby. It was very good. It came with a side of their home made whip cream they make every morning. WOW! This beats Starbucks whip cream hands down. The whip cream is a must try! Put it in your coffee even. Damn, this whip cream would be perfect if they had some Irish whiskey available to make an Irish coffee. Hey, I am on to something here! I hope management is listening!!! If not, I might sneak in a flask of Irish whiskey next time. Sorry. My daughter had the Swedish pancakes. Wow, they were paper thin like they are suppose to be! They were great with lingonberry & whip cream or just some maple syrup. Both of these platters are worth ordering. I also added their special sausage patty. I thought it was tasty, but I didnt taste anything different to make it special. I will be back soon!! I hope they don't check my pockets for a flask. LOL.

Come here hungry, because you will not leave that way, incredible... We have bombs see where cost per service is great.

VERY expensive for what you get. Long long wait times and the food wasn't even that good.
