We order from this Panera location at Panera Bread once a week for our company, and typically spend $200 or more per order. Unfortunately, over the last few orders, items have been missing. While mistakes can happen, what made today's experience especially frustrating was the way the situation was handled. After discovering that food was missing from our order, I called the store to report it. I spoke with someone named Sammy, who immediately told me they did not forget anything and that we should double-check our order. He also stated that they would not send someone to deliver the missing food, would not issue a refund, and that even if we came to the store, they would not give us the missing items. For a business that orders weekly and spends a significant amount of money here, this response was extremely disappointing. We understand that mistakes happen, but refusing to correct an issue and dismissing a customer's concern is unacceptable customer service. We rely on consistent service for our team meals, and experiences like this make it difficult to continue ordering from this location. Inside wasn't fully packed but there was still quite a bit of people and I got my food fast, and the tables we sat at was clean. The Bistro French Onion is back!! Thank goodness, I love that Autumn Squash, but every once in awhile you need to change it up. Today was that day pairing it [French onion soup] with the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt. Nothing like adding some of Panera's pickled red onions and spinach to add some texture other than the bread to the mix. Wish I could give zero stars but 1 is the least so here goes... this is what happened to my sister today at Rockville Center Panera. Corporate needs to get involved this is unacceptable! Food is great, drinks are great but customer service is lacking at this location. My rapid pick up orders are never at the designated rapid pick up area and I always have to wait on the line to get my order. When I finally questioned it, I was told "You weren't waiting that long." And when I asked for his name, he would not give it. I asked for a manager and he said "Now, you're acting ridiculous. I helped you." And he told me there is no manager in. I've been to many Panera locations, but this one is the only one I have encountered rude staff in. Will not return. Do better Panera! Your staff needs to be trained on how to treat their customers if you intend to have them come back. Too late for us though we will not return! read more

The last couple of times I've ordered food there's been an issue either a missing item or a very late delivery; my name is in the book for free items since they don't offer refunds. Unfortunately this is my last time ordering: the manager didn't believe me when I said there was a hair in my food and I felt I had to further say something else like I don't have black short hair. He literally said "all my girls wear hair nets" Made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Wish I could at least donate the food I'm owed. This is a prime example of "a place I've been a million times, never checked in, never reviewed". When I first moved to RVC, this Panera was my go to dinner spot. Run in, grab a salad and a soup go, and attack the moving in boxes along with my dinner. Back then Panera offered these monthly specials, free coffee every day for a month. Free bagel every day for a month. Haven't seen that in a while. Probably because I don't eat there as much? Recently I drove over to grab lunch for the office. Ordered online, it was just about ready when I arrived. My salad was spectacular. Co workers raved about the tuna salad sandwich. Friendly employees, not too crowded at noon. Panera Bread; I love them all, despite it being expensive =( The Panera at Rockville Centre is pretty nice. If you go, look for parking behind the 7-11 across the street. It's free as long as you go after 4pm. This Panera, like most Paneras, has very good coffee that they change regularly, as well as the usual Panera menu of options and treats to spare. My go-to for salad is the Fuji Apple salad. Just thinking about it right now is making my mouth water. The delicious dressing, the apple chips--it's delicious. For soup, I enjoy a nice chicken noodle. It's tough to get a good chicken noodle because you find it in so many places. Most folks just phone it in and give you some watery thing with a few noodles and a piece or two of actual chicken. Panera's chicken noodle soup is among the best when you're talking about not home made. Still, it falls short of the Chicken Sonoma Stew they use to have. Why won't they bring it back? That was literally my favorite soup EVER. The Panera rewards thing has been disappointing lately. It use to be that I'd go in and be surprised to find I had a free cookie or a free coffee. I honestly can't remember the last time I got anything from them; not even an incentive discount let alone a freebie. I won't be going very often, but I like to treat myself once in a while. I often have two choices near my home if I am craving Panera Bread (that are close by at least). Of the two, Rockville Centre's location is always the better choice. If you can get past the parking situation (it's always tough to park in RVC, unless you're coming at an off peak time, which is rare if you're eating a meal), you'll find this Panera Bread to be one of the good locations. As with most Panera Breads, this location has all the standard fixings - salads, soups, sandwiches, paninis, coffee, tea, sodas, pastries, bagels, cookies, muffins, etc. (you know, the usual cafe assortment). This location also offers mobile order, which I personally recommend (order at home, drive over and it'll most likely be waiting there for you). As with most Panera's, soda fountain, coffee and tea refills are complimentary. You'll also find an ample amount of seating and free WiFi (huzzah for being productive or easily accessing Yelp!). What gives this Panera 4 stars over the standard 3 is the great service, quality of food and accuracy of order. In short, I've never encountered an issue here. The staff is always friendly, efficient and accommodating, the order is always correct (some other locations, not to name any in particular, don't always guarantee this), and the food is always fresh. I came in because I was running behind on an appointment and didn't want to also be hungry. I ordered a bengal with cream cheese, intent on eat it while I hurried to make my appointment. I was very disappointed when I reached in the bag and noticed I only had a toasted bagel. I went back to the counter to let the staff know I paid for cream cheese as well. "It's in the bad" she says. Located in a very busy section of RVC. I like to come here for a sandwich after an intense cardio workout. The one thing I hate about the location is the parking situation. They share public parking with multiple gyms, restaurants, a bakery, Gamestop and Starbucks. So depending on the time of day and day of the week you could be doing loops of the parking lot until you get a lucky spot. This location is very well maintained & clean, and has plenty of seating, although I never sit down and enjoy my sandwich. I'm a to-go person, especially after having a sweaty workout. I usually order a few of the same things. Here's what I really like to get: #1 Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt #2 Modern Caprese Sandwich, with a side of chips or a side of Bacon Mac & Cheese, depending on how many calories I burned that day and hunger level. Heartburn Level 1000 Visited at approximately 8pm and ordered a cup of soup and 1/2 sandwich. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary, I consumed both. About 1/2 hour later, I started feeling intense, intense heartburn, like a stabbing knife in my stomach. This went on for at least 3-4 hours with acute and intense acid burning my stomach and esophagus. Unfortunately, this is something that I am familiar with after dining at Panera, the same thing happened to me on 2-3 other occasions after eating there. I'm not a frequent customer, I generally keep my visits to a minimum for this reason. I have a pretty solid stomach -- no issues with other foods that many people complain give them heartburn; I typically can drink coffee endlessly, eat Italian food with no issues. The only thing that will cause me to experience heartburn is food from a dirty kitchen. My guess is that they are either mishandling food or something isn't being cleaned correctly or perhaps cleaning solution is contaminating the food. Either way I will not be going back as I do not feel the need to give myself an ulcer from an $11 H.Pylori sandwich. My experience does warrant a call to the Nassau DOH which is something I still may pursue as I can't be the only one suffering like this after dining there. read more

I've always loved Panera Breads back when I was living in California. Their coffee is usually a little bit above mediocre (think high-quality deli coffee) but is fresh brewed often and if you're staying you can get as many refills as you like. Their food is really delicious!! Their pastries are pretty decently priced, their sandwiches and soups can be a little on the pricey side however but nothing major. You're looking at about 12-15$ for a decent proportioned lunch here, or 8-10$ for a little bit of a smaller meal - keep in mind I am 6'3" and 195 pounds so my portion size may be a little different than yours. Their paninis and soups are always a good call! They have a lot of seating and I think they even have wifi (the ones in Cali did but I did not check at this one) so it is a good place for a business lunch or catching up on your lunch period. read more

At 1 I called asking where they were. Person on the phone said "driver left a while ago should be there in less than 15 mins". First of all if the driver left a while ago why did it take them over 30 minutes to get the food 3 minutes away?? Finally the driver arrives at 1:30... an hour and a half after I ordered!!! Thought that was cool. We both got the "you pick 2". I got a tomato soup and a spicy thai salad, and he got the bbq chicken salad with some type of chicken sandwich (forgot the name). Panera Bread has mediocre paninis and other such foods. It's pricy when compared to the likes of McDonalds or other fast-food places; it's kind of like the Starbucks of sandwich places. They do have a drink fountain so you can refill your drink as much as you want. If you order a panino combo, you don't really get much for your buck. You only get a small panino, chips and a fountain drink and it comes out to a little over $10. This location is spacious and clean with big booths and many tables. Every time I've been to this Panera, the staff has been nice and accommodating. The area attracts a lot of the young crowd and there's usually a gaggle of teenagers hanging out in here after they watch a movie at the nearby theater. If you park close, be prepared to have change on you as you have to put it in the parking meter. read more
