Soup and sandwich lunch. Actually, not bad. Onion soup could use more cheese and could be hotter.

My wife is a fan of the Panera chain. Me, not so much. The offerings are varied but everything I try has the look and taste of assembly line fare. Breakfast baked goods are over sweet. The breads tend to be ordinary and more supermarket like than good bakery quality. One exception is the breakfast menu. They have egg dishes, like soufflés. These are pre made and if you get there early, they are a tasty treat. Get there late and they dry out or they run out. In general, the food is, at best, 3 stars. Better than many fast food places and if you shop carefully, potentially healthier. However, I'll visit only with my honey. Not a place I'll visit on my own.

Cheese Grille - Ham & Cheese- gruyere, ham, grilled onion, Dijon, levain Pullman bread. Cheesy goodness!

Praise Cheesus! I'm a sucker for grilled cheese and this place does it well. While their Ham &…read moreCheese sounds classic, with ingredients like gruyere, ham, grilled onion, and Dijon on Levain Pullman bread, it's amazing! Then their Crispy Goat filled with chévre, goat Gouda, applewood bacon, and avocado on multigrain bread sounded good, but I liked the first one better because I could really taste the cheese. To drink, their refreshing Strawberry Hibiscus Lemonade isn't too sweet. I also ordered an Iced Coffee with Cardamom Orange Syrup, but they had run out of the syrup. Instead, they offered it with peach syrup which was interesting but I wouldn't get it again. With cheesy sandwiches grilled with love and loaded with toppings, say yes! NOTES/TIPS: **Inside Rockaway Townsquare Mall near Sears. **Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are across from it. **It takes a little while to get your order during the lunchtime rush so they give you a beeper thing.

The food in the video wall behind the counter showed great looking grilled cheeses! Mac & cheese bowls, and other items!! But what we got... a 5th grader could make more appealing food than this! No prices on the wall menu... because the "food was WAY OVERPRICED !!! And nothing comes with this minuscule "sandwich"!! Nothing! To add salt to the wound ... normal drinks are almost as much as a sandwich!!! Really!!??!! AND cheese grill has the nerve to charge still an "inflation" charge! $23.18!! For 2 sandwiches, 1 drink!! NEVER Again!! Save yourself the aggregation, and go somewhere else!

The person who took my order was very nice and you could tell she was passionate about the food she brings to her customers. When I first heard of this restaurant, I was hesitant about the quality of the food, due to the fact that it is multiple Asian cuisines under one roof. However, once I took a bite of my food, my concerns were gone. I ordered the Veggie Ramen (Spicy). Trust me, the spice really brings out the flavor. The noodles were perfectly cooked it holds firms on the chopsticks. You have the option to either have your tofu steamed or fried (I chose fried). The black fungus gives a meaty texture to the dish, which works well for any vegetarians missing out. The real star of the dish, in my opinion, is the broth. This is where the flavor really comes from; the savory elements blends with the noodles and the tofu every time you dip your chopsticks. The crunchiness from the corn, scallions, and bamboo shoots balances out the noodles. After this fantastic experience, I have no doubt that I will return to Kazu and relive it all over again!

I got the udon noodle bowl with shrimp and vegetable tempura. My appetizer was shrimp shumai. The shumai was a good warm up . Very light . The udon noodle bowl had thin slice of sweet tofu and thicker noodles with fish cake . All flavors blended so well ! Delicious ! The room has these large bamboo ceiling lights that are lovely giving it a relaxed atmosphere, it's tucked into a smaller mall with ample parking pipped in a soft jazz. What can be better than this? If you follow my reviews you know I love ambiance ! Fantastic experience, Michelle is gracious shines her smile with a welcoming invite as to make yourself at home. She guided me on the menu knowing it was my first time there . Saving the hot spice for my next visit! I received a nice cup of hot green tea that warmed my soul! I so enjoyed my lunch and got so lucky with this restaurant , food came out quick too. I look forward to trying more of this delightful menu as it's creative and extensive ! Thank you Michelle ! Do visit and you will be so happy you did !!
