Grain Bowl
Thor S.

What was once a bustling highly efficient "third space" is now a late capitalist automated glorified mcdonalds. One of the greatest small chains ever for over a decade is all premade crap and drive thru quality for drive thru revenue. The bacon turkey bravo used to delicious and unique but in thir chasing growth now it's just bad and leaves me feeling sad for the state of the world. Grain bowl was Wendy's level.

Panera is an okay place for some basic soups, sandwiches and salads. I think their prices have gone way up since like 5-6 years ago when I used to go all the time, so the food now isn't worth it. The sandwich you get is smaller than before and soups seem that way as well. We ordered food here and it took over 20 mins for our food to come out - the buzzer didn't even ring because I think they forgot about my order, I had to go up to the counter. My apple that came with my pick 2 combo looked all beat up too. I asked for a new one and the person said they all looked like that? Overall, if there was another soups/ sandwich place nearby I probably wouldn't come back unless really craving some over priced soups/salad and nothing else was around.

This is the worst Panera I've ever been to. DO NOT GO HERE -no music -employees were working at a snails pace -employees were rude -drive thru was closed -every single tea was out -it was not clean what so ever -5+ dirty tables -20 minutes to get food -and to top it off my ORDER WAS WRONG but I ate it cause I would have been sitting there for 45 more minutes

Pretty disappointing. Sound was cold and bread was not fully baked. Staff seemed to not want to be there.

Good stuff, don't see why average rating is so low. We ordered sandwiches and they are the same high quality we get at any other Panera

I just got the Classic Tonkotsu Ramen this time and I can say it's the best ramen I've hard in the Twin Cities so far. Delicious, deep, flavorful broth. Great noodles and pork. I would have preferred no sesame seeds but there's nothing to critique on this ramen. Quick service, not crowded. I tried the ice cream machine for a cup on the way out. Not that great, and a little more eggy/custardy, but what can you expect from a vending machine. The mix-ins were fun. Will definitely be coming back.

They have no sea-food option either, and they only have one chicken ramen. Chicken wasn't properly grilled and it felt like I am eating raw chicken. The ramen noodles were also interesting in that they don't look like any of ramen noodles I had before. Broth is just pure MSG so I didn't even bother finishing the broth. Udon strips-fried was surprisingly very good. It was a bit oily but chicken in there was tasty. Good amount of bean sprouts and cabbages. They seem to have multiple options for udon stir-fried, so if you want a traditional ramen or even udon with broth, this is not the place for you.

We had sesame balls as an appetizer, and several dishes for the table. Everything was extremely delicious and served super hot and fast. The table favorite was the cumin lamb, definitely try that if you stop by! Family friendly, they had high chairs and were welcoming of our little one. I ordered the Stir Fry Spicy Beef, Mapo Tofu, and the Pork Belly. Everything was tasty and have no complaints as far as the actual flavors. I do think that the Mapo Tofu should always be soft tofu rather than firm, but that's just a personal preference. The beef was plentiful and extra tender and the pork belly was perfectly melt-in-your-mouth, so good that I felt like I had to ration it throughout the next few meals. I do wish it came with more rice. I ordered three sides and only got one box of rice. I was hoping to have at least two so I can eat it for several days. However, to end on a positive note, when I walked in to pick up my order, the woman (owner possibly) was incredibly friendly and spoke Mandarin to me. She was welcoming, funny, and we briefly argued how spicy food should really be for it to be enjoyable. "The spicier the better," me thinks. Come show these guys some love!

Cream cheese - typical but kind of small Chicken Katsu- crunch outside and not dry inside Ramen- from the presentation, does not look creamy. It also did not taste creamy. Doesn't have the typical tonkotsu ramen taste I've had before. Broth is a little bland. The pork belly is basically pork belly and not the typically ramen chashu pork I'm used to. It was a disappointing bowl of ramen. Sushi- presentation wise, does not look fancy. The plating looks like what you would get at an all you can eat place. Per husband, it was decent good. As for me, based on ramen, I would not go back for that. Maybe next time I will give sushi a try but not sure if it's a god back to place. If you want $5 appetizers, it's worth a try. If you get happy hour sushi rolls for $13 each is not too bad but regular price is about $17 per roll (like dynamite roll.) Service was quick. Food came out in 10 mins or less but it was not busy when we went as well.
