Even though Panera Bread is a restaurant chain I like how they have healthy options from salads, soups, sandwiches and baked goods. This location at the Landing is quite large and very comfy with their booth seating, but seemed cramped due to all the people there during lunch time. It was packed the whole time we were there with many people walking around searching for an open table. My gf and I each got a salad with me getting the chicken ceasar salad which was a nice big serving including a side of fresh baked bread which I really liked. The salad was very filling with an adequate amount of sliced up chicken breast and the spot on amount of dressing. Good fast friendly service even though the place was very busy and another plus is that they have free WiFi which is definitely another star for this chain. read more

It was a to go order so we came home I opened the bag and found less than half cup of the soup in both of the cups I was very disappointed so I called them and asked to speak to the manager. Here's the thing. I came to Panera the other day and was told I have a coupon $1 off You Pick Two. So when I came in today, I already knew I wanted to use it. GINA, the cashier takes my order. She gives me my total and asks for here or to go? I tell her I should have a coupon loaded under my card. She replies very rudely, "Well I'll be able to tell you in a minute! For here or to go?!" Excuse me? You really shouldn't be giving me my total and asking for here or to go BEFORE telling me if I have any coupons/offers on my card. That makes absolutely no sense and gives me the impression that you don't want me taking advantage of my coupon. Of course people are going to feel as if they are losing out! I'm a big fan of Panera Bread. Their menu options are health-conscious and their food is delicious! This is my go-to spot when I've been feeling that I need to make healthier choices but still want tasty food. Plus, they are quick and convenient, with reasonable prices and large portions. My favorite salad here is the Thai Chopped Chicken. The dressing is absolutely amazing, with the right touch of tang and heat. There are generous chunks of tender chicken breast, with slightly-pickled carrot bits and grilled edamame. I usually order a half portion (with the You Pick 2 option) and find that the half is sufficient for my appetite. The other half of the You Pick 2 is for my son - he gets a Big Kids Grilled Cheese, which is half of an adult-sized grilled cheese sandwich WITH BACON! He loves it, usually doesn't finish the whole thing (which means I get to savor a few bites). The You Pick 2 also comes with your choice of chips, an apple, or a roll. I always get their bag of kettle chips. It is yummy. The other Asian salad dish is pretty good too. Other things I've tried and liked are: the chicken noodle soup, the BBQ chicken salad, the salmon salad, and french onion soup. Some things I didn't like so much were the soba shrimp noodle salad and the brocolli and cheese soup. Sometimes when I want to splurge, I order a bagel with cream cheese. Their cream cheese options are lowfat (or fat free, can't remember). My favorite flavor is the honey walnut. Delicious!! Finally, I recommend that you sign up for the Panera Card (which is free). You just need to give them your phone number each time, rather than carrying an extra card. It seems like every other time I'm there, I save a dollar or two or something or another. The only reason I did not give this location a five star review is because a lot of the staff is young and it shows by their inexperience with customer service. I'm not saying they have been rude but sometimes it's as though they are not paying full attention to the customer. Aside from that I have little complaints. The food is excellent!!! I can't believe I'm actually writing a bad review on Panera...this is one of my favorite places to eat. My friend and I came here after mass starving and I ordered what I normally would, a chipotle chicken panini and the chicken tortellini. When the food came, my friends soup that she ordered was only filled half way up to the line WTF (in the picture) and our panini's didn't taste very good, we've tasted better at other Panera's, it was every disappointing. I'm reviewing this based on the whole Panera concept. I'm already assuming that you know their prices are a little on the high side. This has been one of the better Panera's I've been to. The counter staff seemed to be quicker than the ones in Federal way and Alderwood Mall. The location is decent if you're at the landing, Parking is behind the building. I like their broccoli soup and their roast beef sandwich on asiago bread. They serve Pepsi products and have fresh brewed iced tea. They also have decent pastries. I like the cinnamon crunch bagle with hazelnut creamcheese. Their breakfast quiche is pretty decent as well. It's a fun little place to check out. I think there is free wifi. read more

For a breakfast sandwich (the new steak one with egg). it's almost six dollars and the thing is not that much bigger than one from Starbucks. Plus, the steak was boiled and the cheapest cut of meat. First, I'm a fan of Panera. Yes, they're a chain, but their soups and sandwiches are pretty good, and they offer a rather large variety. (I'm a huge fan of the French Onion). Why 2 stars then? I love Panera and use the app to order all the time. This location messes up my order ALL the time and my order is frequently late. They clearly staff a bunch of high schoolers with no direction. The kids always seem to be working hard, but they are still kids. I've worked with the manager to rectify issues with my order, which they do always correct (chain policy) but she was muted, she wasn't rude exactly but she hardly said two words to me and seemed More annoyed she had to do any work at all. We have not been in awhile due to bad experience, over 2 years. We went today and was not great. Better in some ways but much worse in others. The ordering experience was absolutely terrible. The cashier when asked to explain the 2 for was so busy talking to other cashiers that she neglected to tell us the actual cost of the items, the menu is confusing so naturally we expected the cashiers to lead us out of confusion... nope. She half way through our few questions she turned and talked to her co worker for a bit than kept taking our order, rude and made us feel invincible. Needless to say.. our order was a mess. Things not on our plate as in the bread that goes with the meal... ect ect ect. There was so much staff on but they moved like they had all day .. during a busy time (1pmish) The food was ok, the drinks we paid a lot for freskas ... horrible. No flavor of the actual fruits in the drink... tasted like water. So bad! Somebody needs to pay attention those drinks are a waste of money. We sat at a table we had to wipe down with a napkin. The employees walking around we're great at looking busy but I think wiping down all the dirty tables comes before sweeping up a few crumbs off the floor... it was laughable. We took the kids here for a quick early dinner last night, because my parents had sent us a gift card for our anniversary (an odd choice, but why not?). Anyway, as it turned out, I accidentally stuck the rewards card into my wallet, instead of the gift card, because they looked almost identical. The french onion soup and broccoli cheese soups were also hits. The side caesar is big for a side dish and very tasty, according to my daughter who is a caesar salad afficionado. I also really liked the vegetarian sandwich on tasty tomato bread. Misses: they really should do better with the kids meals, for the prices. The grilled cheese was tiny and tasted as if it was cooked "dry" with no butter...virtually tasteless, even to a child's palate. The macaroni and cheese was good, but again, a TINY serving, and for $5? It should have been double what we got, and it was especially obvious how small it was because it was served in a biggish bowl. My son was still hungry afterward. Another big negative: They advertise that you can get a baked good for $.99 if you buy an entree, but beware! You must buy the cookie or whatever at the same time as you purchase the entree. I thought this was utterly ridiculous...shameful, really. I can see why they wouldn't honor this if you try to come back later or the next day, but we had literally just finished eating, and I brought my receipt up to the counter to purchase two cookies for the kids at the reduced rate, and they charged me the full $2.09 per cookie...rip-off! Because the cookies weren't even that great, they were a little stale-tasting. The atmosphere is nice, the coffee very good, but I don't know if I will be back (except to use the real gift card!). Let me say, when you order a meal "for here" that you'd assume, your drinks from the espresso bar to be served in a cup. And if your drink comes in a paper cup, that it's no big deal to have your drink remade correctly. My dear cashier, Anna, (young, dark hair & glasses)... when a customer corrects their order to you - you don't tell them/inform them/attempt to scold them that they should've clarified further... than a hot chocolate (or whatever the drink) FOR HERE. At Panera, your order should be correct EVERYTIME - and if it's not, you fix it right away. Not a huge deal, just an irritant that could keep customers from coming back to the Landing location. Just a heads up Corporate, your Kent location has the best Manager, friendly upbeat staff, and a higher level of cleanliness expectations for the patrons. How did I never write a review for this place?! I am a frequent lover of Panera's food, but not of the prices. The pick 2 can be a good deal but be careful because you pay extra if it is a "signature" item. I base this review off today's visit. I went in around 11:30 and the line was huge already. I guess everyone else had the same idea. The line moved quickly and I placed my order. I wanted a large mac and cheese. It's pretty much heavenly. Went over to wait for my food and after about 5 mins she informed me that they had to make more and it would be an additional 5-10 minutes. I didn't have that long to wait since I needed to get back to work. They took care of me though and got me soup and a sandwich too. The got it done fast and apologized. They even offered me a free pastry but I declined...pretty sure the cost difference was already more than what I had paid originally and I didn't want to be a greedy Guss. They fixed the issue and had great customer service. I will be back of course. Get the loyalty card if you go there a lot. I have gotten a bunch of free food with it. read more

I"m updating my past review due to the fact that they have gotten a little bit better. They just have good eats if you like a nice salad, sandwich and yummy bowl of soup. And it seems they have gotten away (some) from the 'go to the counter and collect your food' thing they use to do in the past. At least at this location I'm seeing someone come out from the counter with your food to locate you at your table. Still, I find some of the employed here rather poor examples of good staffing. I am in love with Panera, not only because I live across the street and it is incredibly convenient, but it provides me with a yummy, healthier option than other fast food chains. I usually order the pick two deal because I think it gives you the best bang for your buck. The tomato, potato, and brocoli cheddar soups are all delicious and I would suggest the mozzerella and tomato panini as well. Their baked goods are spectacular. I also cannot leave without getting one of their cranberry orange smoothies! Pricewise, it is a little bit more expensive than most fast food places, but it is also better quality - not some sloppy, greasey hamburger with a side of cold french fries. I would rather spend like two dollars more than I would on a McDonalds combo meal and get something that I am actually going to enjoy and not feel disgusting and sick after I am done eating. You can also get a mypanera card which has great perks - I am always getting free drinks, pastries, money off meals, etc. It's a good deal in my eyes. Another thing that I really appreciate about the Panera at The Landing is the customer service. All the workers are always friendly. They seem informed about dietary restrictions because they always ask me if I am a vegetarian. The managers actually walk around the tables and ask you how your food is. What a total horror regarding their response to COVID19. The person bringing out the orders had no mask and no gloves on. She came within 1-2 feet of customers - also wearing no gloves and no mask - and handed them their food, rather than leaving it on the designated table. The employees did not have on masks or gloves and were touching the napkin dispensers, silverware etc. She never placed our order on the table, but left it inside the store, requiring us to enter the store. She also never informed us that the order was ready, so we sat there for 20 minutes. I would say if you care about your health - stay away from Panera at The Landing. read more

To be honest, I haven't really had any bad experience coming to this location. I know some of the workers here so there's always that feeling of comfortability, like being at home, whenever I come here to study and/or do some work or just have some good food. I know that for sure because that is one of the pillars that Panera Bread has in their customer service. I know that because I used to work for Panera a couple years ago, but in one of the locations in California. I was working there part time because I am a medical student and a neurology researcher. I was also paying rent so I needed some extra money to use for that and for my everyday expenses. I learned a lot about customer service and about the food industry working for Panera. I was able to showcase my skills in helping others, as well as teamwork. For that fact, I earned the title as "Employee of the Month" for September 2016 and I also got a few great customer reviews, which in turn earned myself a few incentives from my bosses. You are probably wondering what the point of my story is. Well, the point that I am trying to get across here is that sometimes, the business alone is not the only thing responsible for a great visiting experience. In this case, the employees also make my personal visits very pleasant and enjoyable. They have never gotten my order wrong nor they have provided me with a bad customer service. One of my visits before, I only ordered a drink and one of the workers gave it to me for free. It was nice of her to do that but I also know that drinks have time limits and they have to be thrown out after an hour or two to make new batches; that would be a waste. In another visit, the "runner" offered to bus my plates and I politely turned down because I know it is one of their jobs to do that as I have done it myself, but I can put away my own dishes which is why I turned it down. Another time I was just sitting there doing some homework and one of the supervisors asked me if I was doing okay. The only reason I wouldn't give them a perfect score is because sometimes, the way they put my food together is a little messy. I have also made the food before and not to toot my own horn, but I was really good at it. In fact, I was good at every station I was put in whether it be cashier, running food, barista, back of the house, etc. I did it all and my manager was quite impressed. Hence, the recognitions I have received. The reputation of this location depends on the people they hire and their individual work ethics. I admire the work that they do at Panera and I respect even more the employees who are willing to overlook their roles in the workplace to work on just one common goal: to provide the best customer service and food to everyone that walks in there. Oh, more "Hi, Welcome to Panera!" would be nice too. Makes guests feel more welcome. With that said, I really do enjoy the Asian Sesame Chicken Salad - my ultimate favorite! I was bummed when they took it out of the menu but they also have other great options like the Frontega Chicken Panini or even just as simple as the chicken noodle soup (TIP: put some tabasco in there, it will change your life!). Prices may be a little high but they promised that they use fresh ingredients with no artificial color, ingredients or preservatives. I can vouch for that because Panera is actually only one of two restaurants who do not use antibiotics on their chicken (FUN FACT). So whether you come in for some hot soup on a cold rainy day or some refreshing salad bowls on a hot summer day, I hope you keep in mind that you are putting healthy things in your body.
