Thanks for making sure the lid on the soup bowl wasn't completely closed so most of the soup was spilled into the paper bag. I asked for a bread bowl but eating out of the paper bag was so much more enjoyable. Best part about the soup spilling into the bag was when the soup went all over my chips and sandwich. This establishment doesn't deserve a star. Ordered two soups, and waited 20-25 mins for it. This place is absolutely slow, and they were not busy at all. The employees look like they are just lounging around, and have no sense of urgency, and a lack of initiative. Honestly, this just shows that the managers are not doing their jobs to train and manage their teams. I am not impressed. I have been to many different Panera Bread locations. By far the slowest, food always comes out cold 9/10 times. On the topic of food, the Pecan Braids are so dry and stale you can barely bite through it the first go. Drive-through just as slow, if not infinitely slower than going inside. I can't tell you what's worse. Will not be returning, management rude. The only person that was absolutely sweet was the young lady up front who took my order. Whatever you do DO NOT use their drive thru. Literally sat in the line for more than 40 minutes and was nowhere near ordering. We ordered online and then waited until we could scoot far enough down the line to get out of the line (another problem - once you're in line you're IN - no way out). I ran in to get the food and that took ten minutes beyond what they'd said. Got drinks. No lids were available. By the time I got back to the parked car with our order the car in front of us in the drive thru was still waiting to order. Food was fine. Would not return to this location. read more

Terrible customer service. I know if you're going to panera, you're heading in for a dine-in fast food experience of hospital food. I don't care much of the experience, but assurance of customer wellbeing and acceptable food conditions, more of the atmosphere and friendliness while I grab a bite for my break. Unfortunately, every time I come to this Panera they either forget something or don't have it (which I understand, I work in customer service/food job). But when I go to the register and the lady upfront tells me to talk to someone else about it instead of handling, that's one red flag. Then I go-up and see another customer with a request that they say "do it yourself" to, that's another one. I then proceed to wait for 10 minutes after several employees look at me and while I say "excuse me?" to no avail. Finally, a manager comes up after I said "excuse me" for the 10th time now, and I tell her what I'm missing. Unremarkably, the worst experience to start the day. read more

We love Panera this one is no longer in the mall. It is now located by Publix and Old Time pottery kinda across from Sacred Heart hospital..very easy to find good signage.. We were on our way home from our monthly trip to the hospital and decided to take a dozen bagels home, so we went thru the drive thru..wrong time to do that I thought it would go fast , it took 30 mins..I tried to order on my phone so it would be ready by the time we got to the window but couldn't remember my password.. I will write it down from now on.. anyway the gal at the window was so pleasant u forgot about the wait time. They were out of a lot of the bagels I wanted but hubby loves the plain ones which they never seem to run out of.. I did however get the cinnamon crunch ones and omg they are delicious , I also got the chive cream cheese hubby got plain .. I have cherry vanilla and blueberry to try next plus I froze some no way do I want to eat that many carbs everyday..but my favorite Asiago were all gone..so hopefully next month they have them or I can try a closer Panera also.. read more

Not only were they extremely slow in the drive thru. I waited over 45 mins with my mobile order already ordered. I also was picking up another order which they did not have in their system. We had already been charged for the order on our card and yes it was the right location. I ended up getting out of my car and going in to talk to the manager to pick up the second order. The male manager argued with me asking if all of my information was correct. Which is was. Although he still wanted to argue with me about the order. So I walk out of the place without lunch for my managers. I will not visit Panera Bread again! read more

2:20 pm I'm sitting in the parking lot and order an iced coffee using the app. I receive a message saying it will be ready at 2:30 2:30 pm I walk inside to the "rapid pick up" shelf and there is one cup with someone else's name on it 2:36 pm I'm sitting in front of the rapid pick up shelf and receive an email telling me to get my cup with my name from the rapid pick up shelf. I am still staring at the rapid pick up shelf and there is no cup with my name on it on that shelf. Other people waiting there tell me their orders are 20-30 minutes past due. 2:40 pm I ask the employee at the pick up counter if I may just take an empty cup and make myself a cup of coffee since my cup is not where the email told me it would be. She tells me my order will be up soon and I repeat that I will just be happy at this point to take a cup and she allows me to do so. 2:43 pm I make my own coffee Total time to get an empty cup for coffee that I have to make myself: TWENTY-THREE MINUTES. The two stars is because they at least didn't give me attitude when I asked for a cup and the employees did seem to be trying to fill orders. read more

I stopped here on the way back from the doctor with my sick toddler. I thought I would grab drive thru quickly and get home so he could eat and take a nap. Be warned, do not go through this drive thru with a cranky toddler-it will not be quick. It took us over 40 minutes to get our food and by the end of it all my kiddo was sobbing because he was so hungry and tired. I was expecting 10-15 minutes max for a drive thru. I would have left but you cannot get out of the drive thru once you are in line. Horrible and stressful experience. I could literally get to this Panera an hour before work and be the first person in the drive thru lane and I'd still be late to work. Slowest workers I've ever seen. None of the workers try to help each other they just sit around staring and waiting. Went for lunch today and although the food was as to be expected, the service was terrible. Ordered a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. Took my cup and buzzer and went to find a table. The line for the drink station was very long, with most people getting water. For the amount of people the restaurant holds, along with the amount t of take out orders, one place to get water is a little ridiculous. I found a table and sat down. And sat. And sat. Although I kept busy on my phone I realized my buzzer had not gone off. I looked up at the counter and the rushers were just busy with take out orders. I get that they have a big rapid pickup and take out crowd, but what about the other customers. I fumbled in my pocket for the receipt to make sure it wasn't just me and my lack of patience, but looking at the time stamp, I was right. I had been waiting for 20 min. For a cup of soup. A employee came by and I gave her my receipt and buzzer and asked her to check on my order and she was back in under a min with it. No apology, no explanation, just a "here you go" and gone. Soup was warm, so I don't think it had been sitting up there, I think I was just forgotten about. Now, don't get me wrong, not all the service was like this. When I entered I was greeted, my order taken and then a offer to purchase a bakery item (no!!! I want to but I was already "cheating" with the broccoli cheddar soup!) Maybe I was just forgotten about and my order overlooked. It happens. Maybe this is how slow they typically are. I have never been to this location so can only judge this one time. My girlfriend and I went through the drive through, hoping to get a mac and cheese bread bowl and an order of tortellini alfredo. They were out of bread bowls, and apparently no longer sell the tortellini. We ordered 2 large mac & cheeses, and a tea. We're generally very forgiving with food service and give a lot of leeway, but this took forever, considering what we ordered. When we received the food, the baguette pieces were BOTH moldy... We told them, and they just apologized, took the bread back, and gave us chips. I feel like this response was inadequate, considering what happened. This is not just a mix-up or a small mistake like leaving something out of the order, I could have handled that. But this is a public health concern, mold can make you very, very sick. We get home and get to eating our pasta, and my girlfriend finds a piece of PLASTIC in hers, presumably part of the bag in which the macaroni is stored. I wish I could give 6 stars for customer service alone. Currently sitting in the drive through 2 days after hurricane Sally and, obviously, the line is insane. The manager first came around to all the cars (20+) to let them know they likely wouldn't make it to order in time for breakfast and to offer us a menu and an apology. THEN he came around to every car with a cart of ice water to offer everyone. Don't usually go to Panera, but thought I'd give them a try at 8:45 this Saturday morning - the drive through line was short. Ordered two breakfast sandwiches and asked if I could get also purchase two rolls (it says Panera BREAD, right?). Cashier was very cordial and replied "sure". Charged me $13.50 for two sandwiches and two rolls. I get home and, sure enough and no surprise, two sandwiches but NO ROLLS! Cashier even thanked me for the tip. They should've stayed in the mall. Horrible location on the corner of Bayou and Davis! Applebee's used to be there, and it was horrible then, Panera has closed-off part of the parking for the drive-through and another part (of an already super small parking lot) of the parking for pick-up. Parking is a nightmare, the drive-through is a nightmare. All Panera bread stopped serving the big glass mugs. Which was one of the few reasons I used to frequent Panera in the mall. They also got rid of all the comfortable seating and just got the basic stiff tables and chairs. Will no longer use any of the Panera's until they stop using the plandemic as an excuse for poor service & bad quality foods/coffee/lack of mug use. read more

Oh Panera, you complete me. I spent an absurd amount of time at Panera Bread in Indiana while in college. Free wifi, coffee, and delicious food... I think I spent more time there than on campus, really. Anyway, since moving to New Orleans, I have been having Panera cravings. When I realized our weekend holiday would bring me close to my favorite chain, I made that stop for lunch a priority. The Mediterranean veggie sandwich was always my go-to, because I love the Tomato Basil sourdough bread. Thus, I ordered my Pick 2, with a cup of Chicken Tortilla soup, and then the wait began. Tip: If you are in a hurry, don't come to this location around noon on a Saturday. I think my party of 3 waited about 20 minutes for our food to be prepared. It was worth it, of course, since I haven't enjoyed my beloved Panera Bread in 3 years... but this would seem slow if I was merely stopping for a quick bite. Anyway, the employees were all friendly. The food was delicious, as usual. I left with a loaf of the Tomato Basil bread (try making your own garlic butter spread, put some of that on it, and grill it... serve with your favorite italian dish. Yum!). Oh, and the restaurant itself was quite clean. Maybe they have read some of the complaints on Yelp? Or maybe I just visited after they cleaned, who knows. I really, really hope they hurry up and build a Panera Bread somewhere in the NOLA metro area. I drove all the way across town to get to Panera, and I was not disappointed. For a location at the mall, this place is big with tons of seating. There is sometimes a backup at the drink machine, but other than that they do a nice job of handling the crowds. As for ordering, I love the tuna salad on honey wheat. Couple that with some of the tomato soup and you are in for a delicious lunch. I feel like this is pretty healthy as far as fast food goes. Hey, it's better than a greasy burger and fries (at least in my mind). Panera is a great place for lunch. You get a good meal without feeling weighed down. I am definitely a fan! read more

I have eaten at Panera in the past at other locations and generally found their food to be good. Today, on a whim, my wife and I ate there. I ordered a bacon turkey bravo sandwich which should contain such things as bread, turkey, lettuce, and bacon. Amazingly, there was no bacon. The "turkey" was sliced something. The bread was average. I called from home to complain and they offered a new order if I would go back, or a coupon. Why would I go back? Why would I want a coupon to eat there again? What I wanted was a bacon turkey sandwich on nice bread. That was what I paid for. It's not what I got. read more

I used to work for this location (Pensacola Nine Mile) and I typically know what to expect. In my opinion, service is always good. If they make a mistake, they are always willing to correct it at all costs. Delivery Driver Kelsey was incredibly polite and well-mannered, easily one of the sweetest and most accommodating interactions I've ever had with an employee from here. The carpet, windows etc were disgusting. Employees: Overstaffed with no management on duty. Whether waiting for our meals or at ourr table all you heard was young unsupervised apathetic workers in a large b.s. session. Food: High prices, low quality. to me, one hallmark of going out to eat is whether I could create the same quality food @ home for near the same price, if so, I can eat at home and save a few dollars. We had two sandwiches that cost us nearly 18.00. Needless to say, I could have made it at home for about 3.00. I had a Chipolte Chicken that was bland.
