Sorry excuse for a chicken shawarma.
    Marcus M.

I've been trying to get into this place and try it for a year but found it closed, or we're turned away because they were close to closing. Today I finally got inside to order. "A Chicken Shawarma and fries," I requested from the lady, "and a Falafal wrap for my wife, please. Paid and waited for the order to be bagged and went home looking forward to a nice meal. WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT ! First, there were no fries, sadly because they might have been the best part of the meal. The chicken shawarma was mostly a wilted salad with tasteless shaved chicken on top. Horrible! My wife's wrap was doughy, not crispy like a good, fresh falafel. So, after all this time, I find the dining exto be lacking any effort in taste or presentation. Won't waste my money there again...

Food was delicious Service was fast Very welcoming atmosphere with an international ambiance. I think this is a fantastic option with budget friendly menu choices.

Good food. We enjoyed it. I had a lamb gyro and wifey had the falafel plate. The falafel tastes good and had a pretty neat appearance. Round like small donuts in shape almost and had sesame seeds on top. Always cool when the food doesn't just taste good but has a nifty presentation as well. I like how the falafel looked. The gyro was delicious. They also gave us some pita bread with the order. My only suggestion would be that the pita bread be warmed before being served. But that didn't take away from us enjoying our meal. The small order of hummus is a very generous size. It's big! Go here! The food is good.

An amazing chicken shawarma wrap w/ garlic sauce & salad & fries . SO AMAZING! 100/10

100/10!! Amazing food! The chicken shawarma wrap is amazing! And the salad, is wonderful and refreshing!

For $14 I don't think this was worth it but to each their own. I would recommend going somewhere that doesn't over charge. It started when she told me it was false advertisement on their website . The lady at the register was very rude when I asked her about the plate she started to scream at me in front of the guest when I simply asked her. If there was a "side salad" with my order and she replied " that's called a plate! Everything online is wrong and we change the menu daily." So when I looked at the in store menu and it wasn't an option and she told me that, you have to specifically ask for a plate and asked why I am being mean? Am I not allowed to ask questions about what I saw on their website. I was trying to help a guest order his food in the process of her screaming at me and told him that the bowl only comes with chicken and rice if you get the plate it comes with hummus and salad and your choice of protein with a side of rice and the lady started going off even more and the man felt so uncomfortable that he ended up walking out. I ended up getting half my money back but she was still screaming at me and towards the end she says. " I'm having a bad day so I'm sorry." And I told her that she shouldn't put her anger on the customers because her bad day has NOTHING to do with me. I will no longer give a dime to this restaurant. The manager spoke to me and apologized for the ladies attitude but how rude and embarrassing to be screamed at for "your bad day".

Mr. Shawarma is a quaint restaurant off 9th Avenue just a minute from Cordova mall with a couple tables for inside seating and delicious Mediterranean cuisine. We ordered two lamb shawarma wraps at 9.99 each, a delicious chicken shawarma over greens (with fresh vegetables sweet peppers, onions, lightly dressed) at 9.99, and a large fry which was more than enough for the four of us to share at 4.99. The shawarma wraps were fresh and delicious, as was the salad, which was perfectly dressed and refreshing yet filling. The fries were just normal and could have used some seasoning but were hot and crispy. Overall a great experience for us tonight!

On your first visit you get a choice of free custard. My fave custard is Rita's so that's how i measure...the custard tastes more like ice cream. Definitely missing that mouthfeel i crave in custard. The chocolate is better than the vanilla in most custard places outside of Rita's and it's the same at Super Chix. Got a mintOreo fusion instead of a drink and it did remind me of McFlurry from way back. Cajun fries reminds me of the ones from Steak 'n Shake. I got it to go. It was slow coming out but the food was hot and fresh. There's also an impressive sauce station. Sauces were all pretty good. I'll update stars if necessary the next time as I'll try something different.

If so, you will most likely have to drive on Pensacola Blvd., Davis Hwy., Nine Mile Rd., Airport Blvd., and Brent Lane. I always get a chuckle out of driving on Brent Lane, given that that could so easily be someone's name ... and probably is. Getting back on track, I've driven down Airport Blvd. many times when in the area over the last 20 years and have seen Jason's Deli. It's an attractive enough store, with parking out front, so I decided this would be the trip on which I'd check off the box to try Jason's Deli. I was hoping to get in while it was still daylight, but made it in much later, slightly before closing. The store is also nicely maintained inside. I went to the counter where the service was very friendly. Remember that this is the South ... and not South Florida. The young lady there answered my questions as I tried to decide on a sandwich. The sandwich, presented on a croissant with sliced turkey, cheese, greens, and avocado was tasty. It went down the hatch quickly. That said, it was very good, but not substantial. Also, they serve potato chips with many of the sandwiches. While delis do do that, it's not what I would consider a satisfying side, nor a very healthy one unless you pay attention and choose the baked potato chips. I was looking around and getting a feel for the place. Like others have mentioned, the salad bar does look appetizing. Additionally, they have many other sandwiches and platters to choose from. Because of the inviting and clean interior and very good service, I'll go with 3 strong stars. I was really hoping for a more filling sandwich platter, since this would be dinner. With its good vibes, I would be open to returning to this or any other Jason's location to try other things to see if there is something that wows me. But, for now, I'm going to go with this rating.
