Drive thru is usually pretty fast here. I don't know how they make the container for the soups, but it keeps it piping hot until I get home. I kind of forget about Panera as a dining option but need to remember more. I feel like the Pick 2 is a pretty good deal. read more

We just bought one each of their new Asiago stack sandwiches. These items are brand new and for a limited time and were NOTHING like advertised! So disappointing....I honestly cannot believe they sent a product out like this. I paid nearly $40 for these 3 sandwiches and this is what I received?!! As you can see by the photos, there is virtually no lettuce between the 3 sandwiches, one had none on it at all. The tomato was almost non existent as well...sliced (if it was present) so thin you couldn't taste it. And, when we unwrapped, the "sandwiches" (I have a hard time calling these sandwiches because they looked like whole bagels) there was so little on the sandwiches you couldn't tell they were sandwiches. AND none of the items were labeled so that we knew what they were supposed to be without unwrapping them. The thing that REALLY bugs me, besides feeling totally ripped off...is that this order was for 2:45 in the afternoon...not a busy time. Came to this Panera after a year and a half while in town. Counter service was good. There was an older lady with a head set on running around very busy. I had to ask the cashier to ask this lady to change her clovers as she kept touching her head set and the wiped under her nose with the cloves. This lady just kept touching her head set even after changing cloves. I think a refresher course in handling food is needed here. Asked for a sandwich to be grilled that didn't happen. I order bagel pack. I did not get my cream cheese. I paid cash and did not get a receipt. I am elderly handicapped and pay $30.00 for caregiver to drive me there. I called caregiver giver went back they gave her one tub of cream cheese and I paid for two. Had to go back the third time to get the order. Went to Panera in Owasso this morning. Asked for a cinnamon crunch scone. Hadn't been to Panera since COVID hit. The drive through lady was very rude when I asked for one. How was I to know they didn't make them any more. She was uh we haven't made those since the lock down. First of all I had no idea there was ever a lock down in Owasso and second how am I to know this. I remember when this place used to be called the St. Louis Bread Company, before the company changed all the restaurants to "Panera" outside of the St. Louis metro area. Paneras from Vegas to D.C. have been all the same, that I can tell. They have your basic offerings of muffins, salads, whatever. The difference is, in Oklahoma, every Panera is PACKED. You'd think it was the only restaurant for miles. I swear, people talk about this place like it's haute gastronomy. Regardless, they make a killer bbq chicken salad so that's why it gets three stars. The fact that 3 salads is nearly $30 is what keeps this place from getting 4 stars. This place is busy, especially on the weekends, so get your food to go, because it's nearly standing room only. I go to Panera in Tulsa all the time and enjoy my meal with them. The one in Owasso is very dirty. The tables are sticky or greasy. This establishment has a lot to learn about etiquette. I picked up my friend from the hospital who couldn't walk so we use the drive-through. It took a little while to order because she was having a difficult time understanding the menu due to being the first time there I ordered the new bacon tomato sandwich and she ordered a ham and cheese will receive the order, we also got two small cups of soup. We decided to eat in the parking lot opening the sandwich it had no mayonnaise no mustard no nothing that was the ham and cheese. I went to go eat my sandwich with the new bacon and tomato and it literally had two tiny pieces of bacon on it, and my soup was cold, we drove back through the drive-through to let them know that we'd like some mayonnaise and stuff for the sandwiches and a man came up to the window and said he understood we were having a long time ordering and next time we should come in if we were going to take that long. I politely let him know that my passenger could not walk and that we chose the drive-through because of my disabled passenger. Evidently they don't know anything about Americans with disability act, and the manager was very rude and uncaring. This place can definitely use some etiquette and hire somebody that understands management.. this is not the first time I've had a bad experience at this establishment. The last few times I have been to any Panera- not just this one- I have found it overpriced and the food disappointing. We were tired and didn't want to cook dinner so we stopped at this Owasso Panera. The Tuscan Grilled Chicken looked really good on the menu so I ordered that with the summer corn soup. As you can see from the photos the sandwich was MASSIVELY disappointing and a bit soggy. There was not much chicken and the greens were absent. The soup was ok though. My husband got a grilled cheese which was disappointing also. Our bill was $25 and for this much money I expect a LOT better. I really like this place. All the food is great and always have a great time going there. My only issue is sometimes I'll order for pick up to find out that they ran out of what I ordered and provided a random substitute. And since I rarely check, I find out when I get home. So, sometimes that works out and other not. I just wish they would make note to give me an option before I leave so I know without having to check. Compared to other coffee shops in the Tulsa metro area, I give this a C+. The music on a Sunday sucks. The chai tea (which, chai *means* tea, but I guess it's not Panera's fault that their target clientele doesn't know this) is weak. One black person came in while I was here, and EVERYONE stared at her. WTHeyo, people? Sheesh. So - nothing awful, but nothing special, either in the way of food and service, and atmosphere is great if you're white or pass for it.
