I don't understand why the overall rating on this Panera is low. I've have a great experience every time I've come here over the past three years, which has been many, many times for everything from coffee, iced teas, pastries (Orange Scone is TDF!), and meals including soups, salads & sandwiches--and I'm a pretty picky critic when it comes to my food. Everything has always been fresh and great tasting, and the staff has been polite & friendly. Just today, the Manager took care of me and remade my avocado toast because the first one had avocado that wasn't quite ripe yet, so they found one that was ripe and it was perfect! And he was very kind & gracious about it--he didn't treat the situation with any frustration, only kindness. There are very few places in Norman to get healthier menu items like Panera and that don't come with all the food additives. So, I'm grateful to have this one here. read more

I ordered the wake up BLT, which was supposed to be on and everything bagel. And I ordered it with out mayonnaise. She failed to tell me there was a cheesy sauce on it, which was disgusting. I don't know where the bacon is. I think there was one piece on it that they broken in half but I'm very disappointed in the actual lack of a bagel and got some flat piece of bread. come on Panera you can do better. read more

I ordered autumn squash soup, which was lukewarm when I received it. It was almost congealed, not anything like soup. I had to reheat it in the microwave and add water to it. It used to be my fav soup there. But this was a big disappointment. And the staff said they could not heat it for me. I ate the Farmhouse Crunch Salad for the first time today. It was delicious except...the sweet potatoes were undercooked, too hard and hence tasteless. I fished them out (I was at home with carry-out) and roasted them in my toaster oven. They were then soft & very flavorful. Hope Panera reads this and adjusts. read more

Last time we were here, my husband found hair in his food. Avoid the macaroni and cheese like it's the plague-it's always a mushy, overheated mess. The employees usually aren't overly friendly. The dining room seems fine as far as cleanliness. It's our least favorite Panera because of the poor quality of food and the unfriendly staff. read more

I've been visiting this location for years and during those years this place has been pretty awesome! Clean,busy,friendly staff and good service,not so much anymore. The last few times I've come the lobby is closed,only the drive thru is open... customer after customer walking to the door only to turn back after reading the sign on the door,another time they messed up my on-line order. I will never be ordering from this location again. 1) we had a basic order. Tomato basil soup and two flat breads. Got the flat bread but instead of a soup they delivered a tomato sandwich ( literally just tomato lettuce and avocado) and a chicken salad. Fine whatever, they're busy, I can contact customer service to have the soup refunded. 2) Decided to give the salad a try. Seemed fine, substituted the dressing with something I already had. But then halfway through the salad we find a bug. I know it didn't just crawl in and suffocate because it was cooked. I was staring at its beady eyes and antenna not sure what it was until my husband flipped it over showing its underside with its legs. Absolutely horrified. It doesn't even photograph well (small little bug vs camera phone). Tried to notify their restaurant directly for no other reason but to warn them and got met with denial, gaslighting, and spite. Imagine if I even tried to get compensation, I'm sure that would have gone well. Not that I'd want anything from this location anyways. So since they're not gonna do anything I figured I'd at least try and warn people here. Love Panera, just never this location again! Gosh I wish this place were more consistent. I do keep coming back because they do have healthy, clean food that I can get from a drive thru. They're very quick but the food just isn't always hitting. What I've learned is to not order sandwiches from this location. On the tuna sandwich they barely put any tuna on it and last time I ordered that I ended up just taking the top bread off and eating it like a pizza because the ratio is just so off. The bacon turkey bravo looks pitiful and it's like they don't even try. Literally every other location the sandwich looks different and is very good. The only sandwiches worth getting here are the flatbreads. Those are done well. I usually get salad, soup, and flatbreads from this location. The salads are definitely done right and are always a safe bet! I've never had a salad I didn't like from panera. The pre-made soups are good too. They do however, seem to be out off 90% of the pastries all of the time. Same for cream cheese spreads for the bagels. I know they get slammed because this is the only location around but they should be prepared. What company wants to always be out of stuff and miss out on potential revenue? read more

for the love of god pick any other Panera in a 50 mile radius, this is the worst one I've ever been to and the unfortunate part is it's the only one near me. their service and sheer lack of competence makes any drive worth it though, specially the "baristas" (if they even deserve to get called that) are some of the most brainless helpless food service workers to exist, and it's specifically this Panera Bread. They have made me the wrong drink not once, not three times, but 7 times now. they truly are helpless and I guess there's a reason they have to work in food service, it's truly a disgrace to have this location open. take the drive if you want edible food or the CORRECT overpriced drink you pay for. i have visited panera bread for many years and have been away for 2 years and have moved back recenty visited panera bread on main street in norman we ordered our two sandwiches and pastry we went to sit down and there were areas of dirty dishes on tables no just in one place but several seating areas with used napkins on the floor and seats usually people take their stuff to a rack for disposal..but they were left at the table and the flies were eating on the plates.there was several et tables apparently just cleaned but soaking wet not ready for seating..the ambiance was very bad almost disgusting..things i guess have changed..the prices were ok and the sandwiches were good..but with the disgusting ambiance you have to wonder how clean is the kitchen prep area. the food was brought to the table as they do on the bill they request an area for a tip..which is a laugh since the place has fallen to to being less that clean the only clean area was out side but they took down the fence so cars driving by could pollute you sandwich and drink...except for the sandwich the place is terrible and will do take outs next time and not sit there among the wet.tables used plates and garbage on the floors. its a joke if they expected a tip on the bill. read more

I love how natural their food is. I love their cinnamon crunch bagels, and their tortellini. Their Caesar salads and party selection are also good. The staff is pretty nice and always ready to get anything you need. They recently redecorated in my location--nothing huge, just some repainting and such--and I think it makes their restaurant a lot more modern looking, and I really like that. I additionally like that nothing ever takes too long. Overall, Panera Bread is a great place with healthy, natural, and delicious food. The staff is friendly and I love the vibe of their restaurant. Avoid this Panera! Unless you are content with missing ingredients (baguettes, bravo bread), and are okay with your order being wrong, don't waste your time at this Panera. During my latest misadventure at this location, after waiting 20 minutes for my carryout order, they gave the order to another (the wrong) customer. Normally, I like Panera but this one is consistently understaffed and slow in the morning. If you're here for leisure time or you're retired this probably makes sense because you'll have to wait a long time for someone to take your order and even longer for them to come over and apologize why they forgot your food. My friend and I did a curbside order on 8/23 and were very disappointed. We ordered the same salad and had various customizations for each. One of those being an egg on mine and no chicken on hers. They put both on my friends salad- she has a severe allergy towards eggs and is vegetarian. This lack of attention and care is very concerning. Make sure to check your food before you leave!! This Panera in Norman has a drive-thru, that moves surprisingly quickly, so you can swing by even when you're in a hurry. The employees are always friendly and helpful. One of my big pregnancy cravings has been toasted bagels with cream cheese and no other bakeries near me quite satisfy like Panera. I love the cinnamon raisin, cinnamon crunch, and the asiago cheese bagels. Another great thing about Panera is they have reduced fat cream cheese, and it tastes just as wonderful as the full fat option. The coffee is good too. The bread bowls are also fabulous! For lunch I'll usually order the Mediterranean Veggie sandwich and some kind of soup in a bread bowl.
