Had to move to Mustang to get a City Bites close by! Have great memories eating at a MWC location years back. I loved the baked potatoes. Today we went for one of our many future visits. At counter looking over menu, at first I thought worker may be impatient with us. We ordered and I explained why we had to study menu. Next visit will be a easy one! I was asked by some friends to meet them here. I did not enjoy my time here. I stood at the cashier feeling like a fool because the staff stood in the back just kept yelling 'register,' meaning for someone to get it, and after a few minutes and awkward stares, someone came over to replace the intended cashier. I was going to order a loaded baked potato, but when I arrived at 5:45pm on a Tuesday, they were out of baked potatoes and it would be a 25-minute wait. I knew we weren't staying very long, and that I could head home and make one myself and eat it in a quicker time than that, so I decided to pass. I didn't order anything. The wait and the $10 price weren't worth it in my opinion. The place felt crammed and dingy. They had a TV playing the news. I really don't feel like giving the place a second chance. My experience could have been made better by being greeted, waited on out sooner, and the news about the wait on food could have been broken to me more professionally. read more

I LOVE city bites but the one in Mustang leaves me disappointed, to say the least, every time I go. I order the exact same thing every time and they never seem to get it right. Not only do they hardly make it right, they act like it's not their problem which is extremely upsetting. This instance today put me over the top. I drove to CB with my extremely cranky 2 year old to grab lunch. The line had 4 cars in it and 2 of those had not ordered yet. I waited forever it seemed like and it's very noticeable because there is also no cell service in that drive thru so you kind of just sit there and wait. As I approach the window the order taker was kind and I had no issue. I ordered a kids pizza, birthday cake cookie and "turkey club on everything with a bunch of modifications" I always say it like this because I want them to know I'm going to be changing a bunch. I said I want meat only (turkey and ham) and lettuce and black olives only. Nothing else. He confirmed and asked if I wanted cheese and I said no. Nothing but meat, lettuce and black olives. He repeated entire order and great. Waited at the window for a long time. All together I was there for 40 minutes. He apologized when he handed me my food and I got no receipt so I pulled into the parking lot to check the order. I immediately smelled peppers so my heart sank. Sure enough I opened the sandwich and it had everything on it. No modifications. I look to the drive and there are four more cars in there and I have my, at this point, screaming toddler with me. I also have pj pants and slippers on because it's been a long day already. I call the location and no answer. I call again. Rings and rings forever. Finally someone picks up and I explain what has happened and that I don't have the time to wait in line again and I can't come inside. He said I'm sorry if you're not willing to come inside or back in line we can't help you. We are extremely busy and it's not doable. I know he can hear my toddler crying as well and I told him that I wanted my money refunded and he hesitated and said one moment. Then after a minute or so a lady gets on the phone that I assume is the manager and clarified by asking if i was wanting my sandwich taken off. I told her yes because he told me that they could not bring it to my car and that I have dietary restrictions so I wouldn't be eating the sandwich they gave me and she said she would take it off. I am baffled that we have curbside pickup and call ahead almost everywhere now and they couldn't remake my sandwich correctly and run it to my car that is a whole 20 feet in front of the register. I won't be going back and it's a shame because there aren't many options in Mustang and I love their food when they make it correctly but this was the 5th time it's been like this and it's just not acceptable. This was my first time at this location. It's cozy, as in sit in your neighbors lap cozy. The food is great, the staff is friendly enough, and quite busy. I definitely recommend it. Be prepared for a long wait time, our wait was over 30min, so make the informed decision if you have a short work lunch and order ahead to go. And if you have issues with crowds like I do, definitely order ahead to go....the order counter-inside customer flow is really awkward due to the small cramped space. read more

I would recommend hiring more professional people other than high schoolers who don't really know how to have good customer service and care about the product they are giving out, maybe even just more supervision. Of course some need jobs but as managers they need to be taught properly. I waited a while in the drive thru and seemed like the guy didn't want me there because he had to work. It might've not been the case but that's what i felt. The California melt was missing several toppings and was very small In portion. They also forgot my chips that I ordered and had to go in. The girl that gave me the chips seemed very scared and I was very polite I wasn't mad at all I just didn't get the chips. Other than that the potato was made very good and tasted good. I LOVE the food at City Bites. The prices are fair and the environment is perfect for a fast-like food place. I see a lot of complaints about the service, which are likely from people who don't understand the labor challenges in the food industry. It's great to suggest they should hire more professional or customer service oriented people, of which aren't available. They could pay more, but that doesn't magically drive talented people to work in food service. And with the razor-thin profit margins in food service, it would certainly drive up the prices. So a big shout out to all those who provide the service when I am there. I don't expect you to be perfect, I hope you grow with your experience, and I am so grateful for your service. I love City Bites and I don't mind the waiting. Drive thru girl was super friendly. But...my California Melt had zero avocado and a piece of tomato the size of my fingernail. Most disappointing was this 'melt' was refrigerator cold. The reason people order California style anything is for the avocado and sprouts. But feed me a good sandwich and I complain relatively little. (We usually go to one of the City Bites locations in Oklahoma City, but we were out in Canadian County one night last week and decided to go to the Mustang location.) We usually eat here about twice a month. This last time the California sandwich and Italian sandwich was quite lacking in the substance department. Like it only had half the meat it usually does. Bakes potato wasn't cooked all the way. I think there is a lack of consistency and I'm sure it has to do with getting employees. Let me just say, shredded iceberg lettuce is not a bed for a salad. It's 2016, get some spring greens, spinach, something. The service here was incredibly slow. I counted at least 6 employees, and only 1 patron inside (me). Yet it took 10 minutes to make the mediocre salad. There was so much sour cream, I had to wade through it to find any chicken (which was skimpy at best). I simply cannot see how this is a $9 salad. Waited for 20 minutes at the drive through. I was the only one in line btw. Then get my food and halfway through my sandwich I found 2 hairs in my food. Not little hairs but long girls hairs. I will never eat here again. The person making the sandwiches wear's no gloves then places all the sandwiches directly on the pass through window with no barrier between the food and the surface. Then the girls up front use their bare hands to pick the food up and place it in a basket. While there I saw one girl wipe her nose on the back of her hand and then whip her forehead with the front before handling food. I love City Bites. I try to go every time I'm visiting my folks in Mustang. The prices are perfectly reasonable - I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about. All I can think is that they don't get out of Mustang much. The sandwiches are far better than what you'd get at the other sub places. I'd rather pay more and get the higher quality. Plus, they have excellent cookies. The Peanutbutter Swirl and the Snickerdoodle are my favorites. read more

I recently moved here and thought I would try city bites out for Lunch one day during my move, FABULOUS!!! I loved the sandwich I had, in fact I tried it again and it was just as good as the first time. The only thing that could use improvement is the time it takes at the drive through, I would visit allot more if it took less time as I have a 7 month old and drive through is the best option for me, BOTH times I went there I spent 10 minutes, even longer the first time waiting in the drive through! I also wish the sandwich came with a side item but nonetheless, I love the food and will continue to come back. read more
