Pickup order tonight that surprised us. We order sandwiches that come with 1 side. FIREHOUSE AND ULTIMATE and Tonight we both had onion straws. They were loaded in the container! More than we ever have had. Even our sandwiches were full and oozing out......lol. Good and messy. We did get a extra side of sweet cream corn and it was cold. Not even alittle warm. I've been here 3 times since I moved to Mustang in November. It's hard to find good bbq in Oklahoma for some reason. I'm a big bbq lover and have had bbq in several states and different styles over the years. I grew up in the Carolinas where Whole Hog Pulled Pork is king , lived in Texas for a couple years , lived in Las Vegas for 35 years where we had several bbq places of different regional favorites ( Kansas City , Memphis , Texas , Carolina ) , I've also been to Memphis , Tennessee , Georgia , Alabama , Mississippi , the list goes on. The first time I came in I had the 2 Meat Plate with Moist Brisket , Pulled Pork , Sweet Brisket Beans , Deviled Egg Potato Salad , Roll , Sweet Tea , and Peach Cobbler. The Brisket had a nice smoke ring , but just okay flavor. I liked it better with the Thick Bbq Sauce. Pulled Pork was a little smoky and a little dry , but okay and I liked it better with the Sweet Bbq Sauce. Deviled Egg Potato Salad was right on the money. I love bbq beans , but these Sweet Brisket Beans missed the mark. Peach Cobbler was the worst I've ever had , so disappointed. Sweet Tea could've been better so the next two times I came in I did Dr Pepper. The Second Time I came in I wanted a nice burger and usually bbq places have good burgers. I got the Double Stack Cheeseburger , Fries , Georgia Mustard Sauce , Pickles , Water , and Dr Pepper. My waiter asked me if I wanted to try the new Georgia Mustard Sauce and I said of course. He said he likes to dip his Fries in it. It's very good and out of all their sauces my favorite. I told him next time I will get the Pulled Pork and use it for that and it will fit it perfectly. The burger was pretty good , maybe cooked just a little too much and I like a Medium burger. It was good size with lots of good green lettuce , tomato , and cheese. I got a side of mayonnaise for it. The Fries were fresh and pretty good. The third time I came in I got the Pulled Pork , Deviled Egg Potato Salad , Jalapeno Sweet Corn , Roll , Pickles , Georgia Mustard Sauce , and Dr Pepper. The Pulled Pork with the Georgia Mustard Sauce is a Winner ! The Jalapeno Sweet Corn is really good also , I would recommend it over the beans. Deviled Egg Potato Salad is very good also. The Roll was really soft and good. Pickles are good and of course you can't go wrong with Dr Pepper. Each time I came in the place was clean and the service was very good. They also have a salad bar and free ice cream near the exit. I want to try more items of course to include the Pork Ribs and the Giant Beef Rib. In Las Vegas there was a guy that had an Asian Fusion Bbq place and it had the best Dinosaur Sized Beef Rib I've ever had , so we will see how Swadley's compares to it. The only thing is the Swadley's one is over $10 more than I paid for the ones in Vegas which is kind of hard to believe , you would think it would be cheaper in Oklahoma. read more

Stopped by the drive-thru and picked up a 1/2 lb of brisket. It was convenient and the service was quick, but the cut I got was a bit lean and turned out drier than I prefer. Next time, I'll definitely ask for the fatty cut--I think that'll be more to my taste. read more

man what can i say i love coming to swadley's with my family on fridays and enjoy a great meal BUT yesterday was not one of them. so we came in ordered our food and sat down and our food was great until i dug into my rib platter!! the ribs were dam near raw and pink not completely and thoroughly cooked! i told the sever she got the manager and she came and she told me nah those are just right "'mind you they were not still pink and anyone who knows pork uncooked thoroughly can be all bad" so i tried them and they tasted awful and so bad and the manager was great she refunded me my money but honestly this experience just ruined swadley's for me entirely i wish i would have taken a pic so you all can see what im saying!!! anywho thank you swadley's but never again read more

Came at 2:45 pm- took awhile just to find a clean table- The chopped brisket had more fat and gristle than actual brisket- No waitress to help us for the first 15 minutes- had to get our drinks- serve ourselves- The okra was way over cooked and more like fried rocks- Really went downhill. I've never had a bad meal here. For that matter, I've never had a just ok meal here. I cook a lot of BBQ at home and can be a bit picky about how I see BBQ restaurants. The food here is always consistently good. I hate even admitting this but it might even be a tad better than my own BBQ. I'll never admit this to anyone face to face. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed. A bit of advice...always get an extra rib for your plate. read more

We were travelling along I-40 and wanted something local. This place had 4.6 stars on Google, and 4 stars here so we gave it a shot. Pros: Staff was fantastic! Friendly, smiles and genuinely nice. Ambiance was great as well. Prices were in line with most other BBQ places, so about twice the average fast food meal. Cons: Food was in our opinion sub-par. I had burnt ends, which were ok. My dinner companion had the Oklahoma plate, which was a sampler of may things. The meats had little to no smoke flavor. Turkey was mushy and seemed a warmed turkey breast. Other meats were about the same. Overall, it was a decent place with meg foods. If I lived in the area I would find other options. Passing through just means we won't be back anyhow. read more

I usually love Swadley's so it pains me to write this review... We ordered the Holiday Feast for Christmas. One of the reasons we did this was the pickup options- drive thru and curbside. We have a newborn and needed the convenience. Plus, it was two days before Christmas and lots of last minute prepping was underway. We needed to pick up our food and get home quickly. I initially didn't mind paying $170 for good food and the convenience, but that's not what happened. When I got there I went through the drive thru since it had been raining some to pick up my meal. The kid in the drive thru told me that he couldn't give it to me that way and I had to come in "to make sure they get it right" - his words. I told him I chose that option when I ordered but he insisted I had to come in. I also told him I was stuck now in the drive thru line behind two cars, but that made no difference to him. So I waited in the drive thru line and then parked and went inside to get my food. I spoke to the manager. He offered to carry my food out for me, but that was no help at that point. I'd already waited in the drive thru and walked in. Time was already wasted. When I got home, I realized that the paper bag was soaked through. The gravy lid wasn't on properly and my bag was falling apart and wet. Also there was 0 bbq sauce???? I paid $170 and you didn't even throw in any bbq sauce? Also, there were no heating or cooking instructions. The rolls were raw dough and I let them sit out on the counter thinking they were cooked rolls. They were in a covered pan so I couldn't see them immediately. I found out later when I opened them. Nope. Some type of paper or instructions would've helped with this. I just can't believe I paid this much money and received what I did. I thought Swadley's would've taken care of their customers better than that. Maybe it's the location? I don't know. I don't want to spend this type of money here in the future though, that's for sure. I will take my business where they know how to treat their customers. read more

It was good. My daughter is really picky and does NOT like the bun with her burger. This place is the only exception. The people were very nice and kind no matter what happens. I like the idea of the way they order and I love the place really vintage. Overall I love there ambiance service and food everyone should come here! read more

I had the veggie plate with one trip to salad bar. It was yummy and clean. Then I had Mac and cheese. It needed serious seasonings so I had to salt and pepper it a lot but it was creamy. I also had the Mexican street corn. That was yuck. It was way too sweet for me. Almost like they added sugar to it. Service was good. read more

It's been a few years since we've been to Swadly's. We decided to order today and it was all sooo good. We had pulled pork, chopped brisket, chicken and chicken tenders. We had Mac and cheese okra sweet beans and potato salad. We also had banana pudding and texas sheet cake. Everything was fresh and tasted so good and the portions were large and generous. Super disappointed and frustated with Swadleys. 2nd time in a row, where my order was shorted my bad for not double checking what THEY'RE supposed to do. But the girl who took my order was not friendly and the employees were standing around socializing on their phone I chose to ignore it but when I drove all the way back home (15 mins away) to see that I got shorted AGAIN for the 2nd time in a row only a week apart. I am a reasonable person who understands things happen but the prices are not cheap for them to not give me everything I PAID for is so annoying. I moved to Mustang from a community in Texas that had 5 star BBQ. Several places. Now living in Mustang, I have tried a dozen places in the OKC metro. Some even just a few miles from the city. Most of them really good. But for me there is one consistent everyday place that seems to get better every time. I can't understand why Swadleys isn't 5 star. I know folks like to seem above the chain store and want us to think a small shack or trailer is the bomb. Or having a fabled pit master makes the place to eat. Sometimes. But the meats at Swadley's are as good as Snows in Lexington Tex. The sides will compete with Dyers in Amarillo. I love everything about this place. I usually eat at two locations. Mustang and Bethany. Have eaten at others, and all are good dependable BBQ. Love their sauce, service, and the feeling I'm sitting in a cook shack on the ranch. Now you might find different takes or taste. That just makes them different not better. But notice the parking lot at Swadleys in the evening. Those are votes on how good they are. Notice the little shacks and trailers. By four pm they have shut down. Probably because they are having supper at Swadleys. Brag on this place Oklahoma. read more

My husband and I have been going to this location for the past 5 years since we moved to the area either dine in or drive through at least once a month. Last Friday I went thru the drive thru and got moist, sliced brisket and ribs, and neither were edible. The brisket was fatty and too chewy to eat, and the rib was so hard that even our dog wouldn't eat it. I am very disappointed since this has always been one of our go to restaurants.
