Their Brisket Sandwich is the BEST! But honestly you can't go wrong with anything on their menu! Super nice people.

I'm a bbq guy and I've had it all over the country. I grew up in the Carolinas where whole hog…read morePulled Pork is king. I lived in Texas a couple years where Brisket is king. For the last 30 plus years I lived in Las Vegas where we had a ton of bbq restaurants featuring different regions like Texas , St Louis , Memphis , and touching on the Carolinas. Also places started by Celebrity Chefs , Mom and Pop , and Franchised Chains. Most in Vegas are more Texas style with touches of other regions for specific things or even some with an Asian Flair. Yesterday was my second visit to Billy Sims Bbq. A few people told me it wasn't very good , but I like to make my own opinion and some of the reviews I've read were half and half. I moved to Mustang 2 months ago and I've tried a couple different places and surprisingly I haven't found any really good bbq in Oklahoma and we are so close to Texas I thought it would be the same. I went to one place with my son and his wife and it was such a nice place with a small stage in the back with a 2 person band , cornhole , awards all on the wall , the whole nine yards. We got like the " Judge's Tray " with so many things to try and honestly the best thing was the chicken wings ! The sauces were heavily molasses based and not good at all. Now back to Billy Sims. Both times I've come in the employees have been really nice and informative. They also give a 10 % Military Discount and yes I'm a Veteran. My first time I got The Triple 20 Pulled Pork Sandwich with Billy's Secret Sauce ( Carolina Vinegar and Red Pepper Flake Sauce ) , with Coleslaw & comes with Provolone Cheese , but I don't eat cheese on a bbq sandwich so I had them not put that on. I also got the Mustard Potato Salad and a Dr Pepper. The sandwich was piled high and presented nicely , they didn't skimp on the meat either. It tasted pretty good and very close to the way we do it in the Carolinas. The Mustard Potato Salad was also pretty good. The dining area was clean and a few customers , but others came in to purchase to go orders. There are lots of pictures and memorabilia of his time playing football for the Oklahoma University Sooners and the Detroit Lions. He got the Heisman Trophy in 1978. Yesterday I had the Sliced Brisket Sandwich , Bbq Beans , and a Dr Pepper. They also gave me a sample of the Base Potato Salad. I like the Mustard Potato Salad a lot better. Again they gave me a nicely filled sandwich with lots of meat. I tasted it first plain and then with the 3 bbq sauces. The Brisket was a tad dry and barely any smoke. It was okay , but needed the sauces because not much seasoning on the meat itself. Original , Hot , and Hickory are the 3 sauces. I tried each and I liked the Hickory the best , but if you mix the Hickory with the Hot that is the way to go. When I came the first time they had a bottle of Cajun Chef Hot Sauce by the refill station and I tried it and it was so good I asked if they sell it or where they got it from and the employee didn't know , he just said his boss picked it up somewhere. It was the only bottle and none were on the tables. It was like Louisiana Hot Sauce , but 10 times better. I looked online and no one sells it locally , only found on Amazon. I also forgot to mention they give you pickles and onions if you want on your tray. I got the pickles both times and they are good. I love Sweet Tea and I tried theirs both times and it wasn't very good. You need good Sweet Tea at a bbq restaurant. I will be back for the Stuffed Baked Potato with Pulled Pork and I want to try the Ribs. I think Billy Sims is a reasonably priced bbq restaurant and mid quality and taste. I tried another bbq place down the street and I won't be going back to that one. They also sell a Loaded Mac n Cheese and do catering.

We missed the lunch special but he pointed out the all day one. So I ordered the pork sandwich with a side of beans and a drink. Husband got the Chicken one with potato salad. All ok but just boring. Missing some flavor maybe. Next visit would be a better pick, maybe a combination sandwich. This would be a good place if your in a hurry. The windows at first look were super dirty but we decided they have a film on them for Sun. Definitely need a better look to them. Bathrooms clean. Service was ok. Will give them another try.

The attention to detail in cleanliness, precision, quality of product they serve is far above the standard. You can tell there is good leadership but also an incredible crew thriving there. Today we were met at the door by Skyler. She wears smile and even when we didn't like the first table she showed us. Gladly, Skyler directed us to another table. In the many visits to this place I have NEVER seen her without a smile. Great greeting! Our waiter, James, was great as well. He got our order quickly, was personable but not intrusive. * I want to make a special note about Jacob. This young man was just delivering our chips and salsa. When I asked his name he turned and asked our names. He did a great job! Apparently, he had just started but he is going far. He is surrounded by greatness there! Now for the food... fabulous as always We ALWAYS get chips and salsa (do their Chili's club thing you get them free!).... Then I nearly always get Chicken Fajitas... they keep good in the fridge for leftovers... (also get double beans and guac with mine) He-man (husband) got... Chicken Bacon Quesadillas.... They were delicious crunchy on the outside gooey cheesy bacony delicious on the inside. One leftover... don't know how it's gonna work for leftovers. Oh, strawberry lemonade is a good refreshing drink too

We were greeted by 3 employees and tanked for coming in. We were seated right away and Darrell( our server) brought menus and took are drink orders. They have a large menu but I settled on the bacon cheeseburger and my wife went with potato soup and a side of mac n cheese. After we're ordered Darrell pointed out tht if we did it as a combo it would save us some money. We very much appreciated tht and his tip reflected tht. Our food was out it what seem like a few minutes. Cheeseburger and fries were cooked and seasoned well. My wife's soup was extra hot as requested and the Mac was nice and cheesy. The place has the sports bar atmosphere with big screens all over. Darrell kept checking on us and when we were done he thanked us and appreciated our business. Great stop for dinner.

The Arby's that was a couple blocks from my house in Las Vegas was actually really good. This one , not so much. I had a Buy One Get One Free Sandwich on my App , so I figured I would give it a shot. I ordered the French Dip with Au Jus , Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich , Small Crinkle Cut Fries , and a Regular Soda. I dined in and I was the only one till later 3 girls came in and sat a few tables over from me. The dining room was kind of clean , but could've been better. Several cars came through the drive thru as I was sitting next to the window facing it. One gentleman came in to get sauce that wasn't put into his drive thru order. He asked for a few and was told they could only give him 2 sauces which of course didn't make him happy since they didn't put any in his the first time and he had to come inside. Now the food. My French Dip had a proper amount of meat in it and the bread was kind of fresh. The Au Jus was just fine. The Chicken Cordon Bleu I took home to eat later and when I did heat it up for dinner the Ham tasted old , like really old. I really like the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich too , but this was not right. My Crinkle Cut Fries were fresh and good. The Regular Size Soda Cup is a little bigger than a Childs Cup. Good thing I dined in so I could do a couple refills. The Coke dispenser wasn't working properly , but the Dr Pepper one was fine and also I tried the Root Beer and it was working properly. All in all I know fast food places have gone downhill over the years , but they should improve if they want to keep customers. I haven't been to the Arby's in Yukon yet , but I will give them a try one day.
