By far worst delivery service I have ever experienced. Not only did I wait over 1.5 for my meal. When the driver was supposed to meet me at the door, he left the food there at the bottom of a dorm building and of course someone took it. The manager was helpful with getting another order sent out to me. Still wait for my other order. I am a big fan of Panera so this delivery experience was so upsetting. I will always love Panera foods so I will make sure just not to order from this one next time. Update: 3 hours later never got my food. Chicken Noodle Soup used to be fantastic... white meat chunks, flat noodles, great broth, thin slices of carrot and celery ... the last two orders have changed ... now it's spiral noodles, bigger slices of carrots and the chicken has changed (now it has some dark meat and just a few chunks and some slivers of chicken - the slivers are tough and wire like, hard to chew .... please bring back the old way .... I'll give it one more shot and if it's still going down hill I will scratch Panera off my list !!!!!! read more

I've been disappointed with my experience at Panera in Norman. My hot sandwiches keep being delivered to me with burned edges, and are made of more bread than anything else. I ordered a grilled cheese and received a sandwich with one very burned side, and with crusty cheese all over the crust. Most of the cheese had apparently melted out onto the grill, leaving a pathetically thin cheese glaze inside the sandwich. I asked for another one, pointed out the black bread and lack of cheesy goodness, and two minutes later received something that I am not sure wasn't the exact same sandwich. A half sandwich with an apple will cost over $7 at Panera, which doesn't fill me up, and will quickly drain the gift card that I have. Workers have also stopped asking what side we'd like with our food. Twice I've come and automatically received chips, which I don't eat, because the cashier forgot to ask, or simply assumed. I've always really enjoyed my food and the customer service at other Paneras, but at this one in particular I just feel like I can't win. read more

This place usually is ok for a chain and when you want something healthy, but don't want to cook. They've also been hospitable when I've done catering for our school. I went to get a salad and some soup. Today was very sloppy. I found almonds in my French onion soup and got a moldy piece of baguette. Gross. Drove through the other morning and tried the new bacon, scrambled egg and cheese breakfast wrap. YIKES! It was not good. First of all, the construction was very poor. The load sunk to the bottom of the wrap and the top half was all flat bread. To say that the flat bread was a bit like cardboard was an insult to cardboard. I can't imagine these would stay on the menu. The bread was dry and tough, the egg was so over cooked it had craters in it and was somewhat crispy. The bacon could have been pretty good except that it had a cold maple flavored liquid poured over it. I found very little cheese so that flavor was missing. Sorry Panera in Norman. Panera is one of my favorite sandwich shops. When I saw this was so close to my house I was extremely ecstatic. I went there for dinner a couple nights ago and it was probably the worst food I have ever received from a Panera. My sandwich was soggy and the bread tasted old, my mac n cheese was also cold. My side of bread was hard as a rock. The guy at the register was super nice, but it doesn't make up for the horrible food preparation. I was so hungry from missing lunch I didn't care and shoveled it in. But I really hope my next visit they are a little better, so I can write them a better review. read more

Oh, the Panera effect. I roughly define this as "holy crap that baked item looks great, I'm going to get it"...well, that was just OK. Panera clearly knows how to market their baked goods better than making them. As such, I normally avoid the baked goods. But, the food is slightly more fulfilling. I enjoy the pick two with the Greek salad and Bacon Turkey Bravo or Cuban Panini. The veggies on the Greek salad are always fresh, tasty, and colorful. The sandwiches are good, but I'd ask for the sauces on the side as they tend to give either a few drops or huge globs. The calories are posted by each item which makes it easy to choose things that fit within my diet. That also has the side-effect of eliminating half the menu. read more

Three stars because their customer service is not so "on-point," but also because they tend to serve their salads as "salad dressing with a side of salad." This Panera is much like all the others I've been to, however, a lot busier. This may be good for the business but it makes for an below average location to study. There's even a 30 minute limit on the free wifi between 11am and 2pm! There is a distinct lack of available outlets. One table of physics college kids kept trying desperately to get their laptop cords to reach the outlet by my table. Go early to stake your claim on a table close to an outlet. Pros of this location is that there is plenty of parking and that there is a drive through. The service is great. The workers keep coming by to help clear the tables and ask if I need anything. I was here yesterday to get the 1/2 ancient grains salad and 1/2 broccoli cheddar soup for lunch. Both were great and we had quick drive through service. The window worker noticed our pup in the backseat and gave us a small container of whipped cream as a treat for her! So sweet and thoughtful! The salad specifically had thinly sliced grapes and moist chicken that were surprisingly tasty. I forgot to order it without the standard dressing they add but I was again surprised. I am super picky about salad dressing but It was mild and flavorful and not creamy - my main issue with salad dressings. The soup as always was great. Broccoli cheddar is a staple and so hard to ruin. Loved it and the small baguette that came with. Unfortunately a splurge at $10 because I was hungry like two hours later. read more

I am very sick with the flu right now and I think that the girl working the drive through window could tell... she was so sweet! She and another young guy gave me some free cookies and even wrote a sweet note on my bag. It literally made my whole day! My bread tasted abnormally good that day, so I'm stuck in the middle. Wait a little longer for yummier food or go on a slow day where I could risk the chance of getting not so great stuff? What a predicament. I normally get a sandwich and half salad here. Went with a wild card and ordered a half Tuna Fish. No bueno. The globes of mayo made my bread soggy. I would have preferred they put the tuna in their signature style bread despite the fact that the crust can sometimes be rock hard. I got the green power smoothie and it was really good. It was a little tart but I am thrilled to find a smoothie on this side of town that isn't full of dairy as I am intolerant. The cashier was friendly and helpful. She explained that I could ask for any of their smoothies without the yogurt. Call me a sucker, but I love me some Panera. Sure it's a chain, but they do a darn good job of pumping out delicious food and pastries. I also adore their app ordering and being able to just walk in and pick up my food without having to speak to a single human being. I've never had a problem with a wrong order or long lines, but I think I usually don't hit them at peak times. My food has always been fresh and delicious. read more

Today is Veterans Day and I went for the special because I'm an AF vet. This location is a franchise and this was their first year participating in a Veterans Day special. The manager was very polite but his employee was incredibly rude. Understandably, none of the staff knew how military identification worked. I explained it to a couple of them since I knew there were more than likely going to be more vets coming through today. After showing him my drivers license with the veteran information on it, the kid at the window told me he knew I wasn't a vet because he went to breakfast with his grandpa and he had an id from base. He continued to argue with me about whether or not I served until I asked to speak to the manager. I'm NOT coming back to this location again. read more

This was really hard for me to leave a 3/5 star review because I frequent this Panera Bread often. I come to study several times a week and stay for hours, while which I order several times during my stay. Before today I would have left a 5 star review; however, I just witnessed the manager state very loudly that the woman (customer) he was on the phone with was "full of shit." He said that after he put her on hold. I'm sure she had a ridiculous order or was requesting her large order immediately, but that was very off-putting to hear as a consumer. I haven't really ate at Panera bread, I've always heard it was too expensive. Well tonight we decided to go and the chicken noodle soup was amazing! The macaroni and cheese was good!! The grilled cheese was okay, and so was the blt. When we looked online at the menu the prices weren't listed, so we kind of ordered blind sided. The guy working said he would put the receipt in the bag and never did, so we couldn't we see what we spent $30 on. I was told to order from the kiosk and I did so, the card reader was broke on the one I was using I told an employee and they said to try it again so I did, after that it had been about 10 mins of me trying to order and when I got there it was 6:50 by the time I finished at the kiosk it was 7:10, Panera closes at 8 I told the employee again that I wanted to order since the do not close for over 40 mins, the employee then told me I could not place an order any more because it was too late. I have been coming here for years, but something has changed. The last two times I have ordered the Asian Chicken salad all I got was lettuce. Very little chicken, no Asian croutons and the lettuce was wilted. If I wasn't having my daughter pick it up and bring it to me, it would of been sent back. As much as I hate to admit to liking a chain, Panera is a pretty darn good one...Usually.This location seems to be the exception. I went in search of a simple bagel pack today, and even that was a flop! First of all, this location never seems to keep their bagel selection very well stocked. What made me really sad was when they dropped two of my bagels! There were so few bagels left to choose from that I had to replace them with flavors I didn't really want. I know dropping my bagels wasn't intentional, but guess who still had to pay for the bagel pack? Me. As much as I prefer local coffee shops and cafes to chains, Panera is still my go-to place for studying and catching a meal when it's cold out. The macaroni and cheese warms me right up, and the mediterranean vegetarian sandwich always hits the spot (i get both, of course. are calories even real?). the tea and coffees are always up to par and help keep me awake during those long study sessions. Reward system is good, especially if you stay a long time. You earn a visit for each transaction at the register, so by splitting your meal/tea/treats into different transactions over a study day, you can get a reward by the end of the day! I just moved in with duffel bags. I went next door to the Panera bread. I had 2 soups to go in a paper bag. A huge cockroach crawls out the bags a minute later. I was really excited to write a dazzling review for this place after I felt like I won the lottery after receiving a hot & fresh French baguette with my to-go order; however when I got home, I definitely was disappointed. My order was simple, a you-pick-two with a Mediterranean veggie sandwich & a side Greek salad, extra dressing. (They forgot the dressing)The service through the drive-through was fantastic compared to other visits. When I got home, I started eating my Greek salad and when about 75% into the salad, I look down & see A DEAD FLY just hanging out in there. I was Mortified to say the least, so I immediately called Panera & asked to speak to the manager. A man named John answered the phone & I let him know what happened & asked him that he pull the lettuce so nobody else has an experience like mine. He didn't seem too entirely concerned about & gave me an automatic response of "oh, we'll check that out" I wasn't calling to poach a free meal out of my situation, but rather to prevent someone else from potentially getting sick from ingesting dead insects. I usually have pretty good luck with other Panera locations, but this one was terrible in terms of dishes missing multiple ingredients. I was in a good hour-plus before they closed, and they were not busy. Ordered a Thai Chicken Salad, which is supposed to have "Thai cashews, fire-roasted edamame, red peppers, carrots, fresh cilantro and crispy wonton strips tossed in our low-fat Thai chili vinaigrette and drizzled with peanut sauce," in addition to chicken and romaine. Mine came out with the lettuce, chicken, peanut sauce, and wonton strips. That was it. Took it back to the counter, and listed off the items to the cashier that were missing. She told me they'd re-make it, but that they were out of edamame. Offered a couple of things instead, of which I chose quinoa. So the second salad I got had lettuce, chicken, sauce, wonton strips, and quonia. No cashews, red peppers, carrots, or cilantro. Bread wasn't that good either - didn't taste like anything. Panera used to have these great sourdough or at least fresh-tasting baguettes. read more
