This place was close to my hotel and gave me an opportunity to try the new Steak and Mozz sandwich to go with Broccoli Cheddar soup. The sandwich was fresh and nicely put together. The steak was flavorful, the bread was tender, and the tomato offered a pop of sweetness. The soup was as always, delicious and provided a nice sense of comfort on my long trip. I also added a chocolate chip cookie to top off the meal. It was warm and tender and I appreciate, not to sweet. The only feedback I could provide on the visit was there were several tables that needed to be wiped down. They may have had a rush before I came in at 4pm that might have delayed this. This location is hit or miss for me. Sometimes when I go in person my order isn't always right, and if I go on Grubhub my order gets delivered to the wrong place. But I know that's not Panera's issue but I finally figured it out. I have to use DoorDash anytime I want delivery from Panera to ensure my order is delivered to the correct place. Today I'm so glad it was correct. I was able to get the cheese flatbread pizza with no tomato sauce, because it causes heartburn. With the half salad Apple chicken pecan salad. It was very good everything was fresh made very quickly and delivered on time. If you haven't tried the apple vinaigrette dressing you are missing happiness in your life. I'd like to begin this review by saying that I am a huge fan of Panera as a whole. The sandwiches, salads, bagels, flatbread pizzas, and Ooh, just the baguette alone - De-lish!! But this particular day, Wednesday December 21st, 2022 around 12:30pm, my partner had ordered two large Charged Lemonades from his Panera App and asked me to pick them up. For those unfamiliar with App Orders, you walk into the store and near the registers, there is a bookcase-style shelving unit, where your order sits waiting for you to claim. There were the two drinks, and as soon as I grabbed the bottom of the drink holder to slide it from the shelf, they both came forward and spilled all over the floor and me. I stood there for a moment, looking stupid, waiting for someone to immediately come to my assistance. I overheard one of the men working there saying to someone else behind the counter that he was going to get the mop bucket. Still noone came to my assistance or offered to replace the drinks that had spilled. What bothered me the most was, as I stood there, a woman who was obviously the manager, walks from behind where the prep area is to out front by the girl at the register and said "Is anyone gonna clean that up?" The girl replied, "Such-and-such is goin to get the mop bucket". The manager never approached me, never apologized for that happening to me, and never offered any help to me personally, as a guest at her store. A crew follows what training and leadership that is given to them. Bad habits begin from the top down. I shared my experience with my partner later, who admitted that the same thing happened to him the first time he got drinks in the carry tray, and as a regular there, a crew member there shared with him, 'Yeah, it (drink spills) happens all the time." Maybe change the cup design or get a carrier with sides and a handle like those used at Chick-fil-A? And how about some better customer service? This was a very bad guest experience which coulda been turned around had the management handled the situation in a proactive manner. Totally disappointed! read more

Sandwiches were missing or lacking some food items that were suppose to be on the sandwich. The flatbread was over cooked and missing basil. How do you miss the basil.? I had to return the next day to let the manager know what happened so he could possibly fix it. Chris the manager helped me out and asked me if they could fix the food. He pulled up my ticket and receipt from the day before and fixed what was wrong. The chicken avocado melt is killer, and the cherry tomatoes mixed with the basil and crispy flatbread is amazing. I have no problems with Panera at Janaf. Their staff has always been friendly, they are almost always clean and their food is pretty good. I say this as someone who used to frequent this place because of their free wi-fi, but that was over 10 years ago. Nowadays I believe there's a time limit on wi-fi, but whatever. I've been to other Paneras more recently and I've noticed the food quality isn't as good as it used to be. Maybe I'm imagining things, but I don't enjoy their soups as much, and their sandwiches are smaller. Panera is a chain, so over time cutbacks are inevitable. Better late than never? Is that the saying? If so I'm super late and I'm glad I did! This was my first time trying Panera. Everybody knows I love some of everything and that's exactly how I called it. I was headed to Arby's when I passed Panera and mentioned I'd never been there. So then I'm being told everything grand about which lead to self-frustration because I was making a bad choice going to get that beef and cheddar burger. Sooooo I busted a u-turn and pulled up. I said Give me some of everything. I had a soup, a salad, a sandwich, an apple, a muffin, a baguette, and a lemonade. Don't call me a fatty but I want what I want. Everything was delicious !! As you can tell, i dont write middle-of-the-road reviews. something has to stand out, whether positively or negatively. And unfortunately this is a negative one. Panera has been on the downswing for over a decade in my eyes. Prices have gone up and quality has dipped to bolster profits to match it appears. It's hard to be underwhelmed by Panera. Having made rhe conscious decision to come here, obviously my expectations were low. And those already low expectations weren't met head-on. They were met with the most tepid and flaccid of fanfare. First off, this place is dirty. I went to not one or two different tables to find a clean one. But seven. My seventh table was in the back next to a table that was the perfect metaphor. Broken and busted, like Panera is. Debris littered the booths and floors and the store had an aura of unkempt all around. I harken back to the late aughts when Panera was the place. Decent food at a decent price, with actual silverware! I haven't been in a long time and it's apparent quickly as to why. I ordered broccoli and cheese macaroni, a Spicy chicken sandwich, and an apple. With a drink this put me just shy of $20 without a tip. A whole other discussion could be had as to who or what I'm tipping when ordering from a kiosk. But the food was meh. The "spicy" chicken sandwich was room temp, just barely above cool/cold. The macaroni was cheesy and hot, just bland. A void where flavor went to die. The apple and drink washed away my sorrows as I set out to write this: The effort was just not there. And I can't really be mad, because, again, I made rhe conscious decision to come to Panera. I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. read more

I've been going this Panera on my lunch breaks for the past two years - but for some reason the food has taken a huge down turn for the worst. Last week I ordered the grilled cheese and got a burnt cheese instead, the photos are attached. I also ordered a Greek salad at another point in time and the chicken that I paid extra for was missing ... and so were the pepporocini that are supposed to come with the order. I recently began frequenting the Panera Bread chain & believe this location is my least favorite. I ordered from the kiosk so, I'm not sure how the service was at the counter. I love the kiosks as I can take forever ordering. Coffee station was filthy, sticky, and trashy. Our order/food was wrong and sloppily put together. One order was for bacon but, received sausage. The bread on my sandwich didn't taste as fresh as another location I went to in the past month. The bread was chewy and didn't melt in my mouth. If I had dentures, they would've come out. I believe they may have had it sitting out for a few too. Didn't have that fresh heated feel to it. One reason I came here is because of pictures I've seen of the Hot Chocolate. When we received our cup of hot cocoa, it was NOTHING like the pictures. We were dining in and received it in a to-go cup that had sticky chocolate spilled all over. That must've been sitting out for awhile too because I didn't see the beautiful intact square marshmallows I have seen circulating in posts from others. The hot cocoa was supposed to be the star of the show & it disappointed. Unfortunately, this location works for me logistically. Fortunately, I have a car and will drive to other Panera locations until this one gets their standardization in check. read more

This Panera sucks. I recommend driving a little farther to the one at town center, they take much more pride in the food they put out than this location. The sandwiches here come made sloppy and normally lack an abundance of substance. But the real down fall is their soup, it rarely comes out hot... it's kind of lukewarm and if I'm paying $6 for a bowl of soup I want it hot and I want a pretty generous portion. The best bet here is to go with the steak and arugula and if you get something additional of substituted they tend to pay more attention. read more

If you're reading this and are sane I assume you love Panera. Ordering food from an app on your phone and picking it up later never gets old. It's also so nice that they have self-service kiosks and table delivery. It's a great location for a quick business meeting, particularly in the morning as their breakfast menu is tops (Those souffles OMG!). For the rest of the day I recommend the chicken salad sandwich, and their mac and cheese is divine. Also, they have fantastic cookies with a little citrus zest added in that my four-year-old is addicted to. When good behavior leads to a Panera cookie, well, good behavior happens. The atmosphere is clean, bright and friendly. I'm not sure that this particular location is any better than any other, but that's fine since pretty much every Panera I've ever been to is a good time. read more

We were home sick today, so we ordered at late lunch! This location is closed to home an a better option from all the fast food chains in the area, probably why it gets as much business as it does! Any how I used Rapid Pickup to place my order, was able to use PayPal which was excellent since I didn't have my wallet. Order 3 Sandwiches, 3 Soups, 3 Desserts $53, wow. Picked it up, got it home and discovered we were missing an item, so I got on the live chat, they gave me reward points to fix the problem, which expire in 30 Days so I will be losing out on my missing item because I won't be going back! The Italian I ordered was missing ingredients! The bread was large and the meat and cheeses were missing! One small piece of ham, salami, and provolone! The grilled cheese was dry and had a slice of cheese! Turkey was okay, glad they use a fresh turkey (1) star. Started going to this location early this year and had no issues. But in these last few months the quality of the food has gone way downhill. I typically order a tuna-salad sandwich, without greens or onions. However multiple times my sandwiches still either have bits of greens, or still taste like onions. The only thing I can think is they take a pre-made sandwich and pick off the undesired ingredients instead of making a fresh one. They very rarely put a decent amount of tuna, often there is barely enough to cover the bread. Speaking of the bread, it's almost always soggy now, sometimes to the point of falling apart. Which again, I assume happens if the sandwich has been sitting around for a while instead of being freshly made. Which makes no sense given the long wait times I have had. Keep in mind that I pick up my food to take back to my office, and don't find out my food is nasty or my order is wrong until I'm away from their location so I can't exactly return it and ask for another. If I pay six dollars for a sandwich I expect better than this mess. read more

Today I ran in Panera to grab a quick bite to eat for lunch. The cashier Lynne was very helpful in explaining the different salads and their ingredients. I decided to go for the Green Goddess Salad without bacon and extra dressing and let me just say....it was AMAZING!!! So fresh & flavorful! After eating about half of it, I was sad I chose the Pick 2 ( soup-cheddar broccoli) over getting a whole salad. I chose to give it 4 stars because upon receiving my bag from another employee there was hair in it on top of forks I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND ordering that salad with an extra dressing. read more

I love love love Panera Bread! I recently moved back from Hawaii to Virginia and this was one of the places on my "return to" list. I'm thrilled with all the small changes they've made since I last visited, including the green tea by the soft drinks (hello unlimited refills). I also noticed a sign that said they removed all artificial ingredients from their salad dressings (how awesome is that?!) If you're eating here for the first time, I suggest the Asian Sesame Chicken salad. This location is clean, and The workers are friendly too! Five stars through and through! 23Sep2018 Review: Thought I'd give this location another chance because it is so much closer to me. For a bit, they looked like they got their act together. Guess not. Got a takeout order twice. One time, the Ancient Grains Arugala Salad was missing the chicken. Sadly, didn't catch it until I got home. Today, my takeout order came up and I watched the girl check the receipt to confirm it was correct while never even looking in the bag. Sure enough, I was missing a cup of soup that was marked off as confirmed. Also the soda dispenser was leaking out more around the spicket than through it. Guess I'll give up on Panera or drive much further. It's a shame because I do like the food.... By the way, I only use the kiosks now, but they are often down. Old Review: Epic fail when clientele walk in and stand in line only to walk back out. Who has trained the cash register personnel to take an order and then disappear with someone still standing in line to put in an order? Left waiting, without a word from the cashier, I stood there patiently long enough to listen to the employees having a good time engaged in conversation and laughing loudly. I could be seen by them as I remained standing at the register. Finally walked out when it was truly evident that no one "working" at the establishment cared.
