When I got the sandwich, very disappointed No cheese- appears to be one slice of mozzarella cheese cut into four slices. When I spoke to the manager, he debated with him and finally said " ma'am, you want another slice of cheese - here it is". He took a slice of cheese and cut it in half. I decided to get the mix and match combo but didn't realize that there were only certain sandwiches and salads able to be mixed and matched which I found confusing... because isn't the half and half menu the same thing? Either way I got the apple salad and a focaccia mozzarella sandwich. They were okay, just didn't taste fresh to me. The chicken was pretty tender on the salad though, that was nice! I'd prefer fresh apples though instead of dried apple chips. The cherry limeade wasn't great, it tasted watered down and didn't have that citrusy acidity that limeade would give you, it was more cherry for sure. I did enjoy the potato soup though it was pretty good. And they gave me a free baguette which was nice! But overall Panera is a bit mid now, it used to seem so much more fresh. Wow they must search high and low for the lowest class of people they can put on the register. The guy at the register a M/B doesn't even acknowledge me for several minute then looks at me and say " I gotta do an order right now ( after 5 minutes of standing there- ill be back...comes back SEVERAL MORE MINUTES LATER and says nothing-just looks at me. This location has workers who don't seem to know how to read instructions on the orders at all! This has been happening for a long time, but I let it slide too many times already. Just in the past week they got my orders wrong twice! I ordered a bread bowl the LARGE size, and they gave me the small size! This bakery is poorly managed. The portions are always smaller than other locations. I ordered a pick two and received a portion of soup that was filled a little above the middle point. When I asked for a larger serving I was told that that this was a "full" portion. I filled a hot cup container with water and the manger said I couldn't use a "coffee cup" for cold beverages. Huh? Of all the many options, Panera Nanuet is my go-to-favorite. Food is fresh. Place is clean. The managers are friendly and personable. The seating (particularly by the window) is a perfect place to read a newspaper. There are electrical outlets throughout to plug in a laptop. You don't get rushed. And - Panera has a SIP Club which gives unlimited soda / coffee/ teas for a $13 monthly subscription. Unlimited hot coffee in the winter. Unlimited cold coffee in summer. read more

The service tonight was nothing short of perfect. The cashier wasn't sure how to ring in the paper gift certificate and asked for the manager's assistance. He promptly came to help while the cashier attended to the next guests. There was an issue with the certificate but he honored it anyway. While we were enjoying our meal he circled around the dine in area to check on everyone. Furthermore, he brought over delicious cookies for us to enjoy after our meal. The kindness didn't stop there. The polite young gentleman cleaning up came to our table to take our dishes as we were finished. One tip is to call the store direct to order and speak to Isha because if you order online changes need to be done online and there are time restrictions. 2 stars only because they didn't screw up our order bit that probably the only good thing. First I walked in and asked a staff member where the bathroom was. Without even looking up at me she just silently pointed at a wall...didn't speak to me just pointed. Then they also do not do the paisley waiting thing where you can order something, pay for it and decide or pick it up on your way out. Which I'm pretty sure is a standard Panera thing. I've never (until this one) been too a location that didn't do that... Next they didn't give us our cups and we had to ask for them, not a big deal but when he did (after waiting for the next customer to order and pay) he only gave us two and asked us to show him our receipt for the third cup (even though he had JUST) checked us out. So that was just annoying. We then waited 15 min before our food came (but they did bring it to us which was nice) When we did finally get our food, all three it's Lea we're dirty. Like sticky dirty. I washed dirty. So that's gross. I got plastic which I guess was fine since we at least know that's clean and unused. After eating I asked for a to go cup and box for my leftovers and had to ask a second time because after another 5 min I finally got it but no bag. First time being at this panera bread! it is a bigger panera and very pretty. There was a line when we got in, but moved quickly as there were 2 registers open. I ordered The autumn Squash soup and the bacon turkey sandwich with avacado. Both were good. Only thing is i had the you pick 2, and they forgot to ask if i wanted an apple. It's all good tho. As multiple locations of the Panera Bread go this one seems by far the worst one I've visited in a long time. Decided to stop by for a quick lunch on my way to Rhode Island. The staff was nice but it seems understaffed for the amount of traffic this place generates even though it doesn't generate much around 11am. The food is the same solid fare you find at other locations but: Self order kiosks are nowhere to be found. Table service available in other locations doesn't seem to exist. Descriptions of the menu items usually available on the menu don't seem to be there. So the order numbers are given with the plastic card which needs to be placed in a metal holder on the table for someone to notice (if they were to bring the food to the table) C'mon people this place is way behind the times here. Their points system is also plus as well two of almost every month I went to reward and I'm able to either get a free meal, free donut or pastry or possibly anything else that they have available. Order #665473280 Date: Sunday, December 19th, 2021 I'll start off saying that I'm an extremely patient person, but the "service" I just experienced at this Nanuet, NY location is the worst I have ever had in my life. I'd highly recommend ordering from another Panera location or choosing an entirely different option in the Nanuet area. For a detailed account of my experience, continue reading below: -I was coming back from a weekly gymnastics class at Tumble Bee with my 2 year old daughter and wanted to bring home some food without getting her out of the car seat and to avoid going inside as a Covid precaution. -I placed a mobile order for Curbside pickup at 2:04pm and arrived, parked, turned on my flashing blinkers, and clicked "I'm here" at 2:10pm, although my order initially said that it wouldn't be ready until 2:14pm. I thought, that's great, it's done early... -The order instantly said "Your order is ready!" and informed me to wait in my car and that "We'll find you outside. We'll bring your order to you shortly!" -At 2:35pm, I was getting concerned and decided to call the store, but there was no answer and it just continued to ring until eventually disconnecting. -I eventually reached an employee on the 3rd call at 2:39pm where I asked about the status of my order to see if it had been misplaced. The employee said "I'm not sure but I'll check on that" and immediately hung up on me. -I was a bit confused but hopeful something would come out soon, but after 10 more minutes and after having seen many of the same faces leaving with the remnants of their meals that I had noticed arrived well after me, I decided to go inside and ask what was going on. -So at 2:50, I entered the store (after waking my hungry 2 year old who had fallen asleep while waiting over 40 minutes). I walked to the gap between the counters and asked respectfully, but obviously very irritated, again, about the status of my order to the employee at the register (which I'm pretty sure was the one who had initially answered the phone from the similarity of the voices). -He looked around for a 2-3 minutes or so and found the bag among 4-5 others on the counter behind him and said he didn't know why it didn't go out yet. He then started to get together the drinks that should have been with the order when I overheard another customer come in similarly saying that she had been waiting in her car for 20 minutes before coming in, and it was at that point when I decided to just cancel my entire order and demand a refund. -The employee sighed and called down towards the kitchen area where most food was being prepared and asked for "Maurice". -After patiently waiting for approximately 10 more minutes, I asked to speak with the manager. About 5 minutes after that, an employee in a blue shirt approached and asked what I needed and I asked her if she was the manager. She confirmed that she was the manager when I asked her directly. I then asked her if I could have a refund and be compensated for my wasted time which was nearly an hour at this point. She said she did do the refund, but couldn't do anything else. -I thought that was ridiculous and asked if I could have a corporate complaint phone number or the name and phone number of her superior. She said she didn't have the corporate number and that I should Google it. When I asked again about the name and number of someone above her, she said to speak with "Rose" tomorrow morning after 9am. I asked if I could get that name written down and she wrote "Rosemayra, 9:00am, tomorrow" on a cookie/pastry wrapper and handed it to me and walked away. I took it and then thought to get her name and the name of the original employee that I had spoken too. I asked that first employee to write his name and he put "Andero" which matched his nametag and then I asked him to write the name of the lady helping me at which point he wrote "Theone" (unsure of spelling of both names, but it looks like that on the paper). -I was obviously confused at this point, because while waiting, I was told by several employees that they were trying to get the manager who was named "Maurice" and that was very clearly not the same person that I spoke to. -By now, it was around 3:20 and I again demanded to see the real manager named Maurice. I was continually told that he was in the back and busy and would be able to come soon. -While waiting, another employee went to check and see why Maurice wasn't coming and came back to tell me that Maurice said he had already talked to me.
