After physical therapy today, I was craving a sandwich. Stopped at Panera Bread. I was greeted by a cashier named Verrick who provided excellent customer service. I ordered a 1/2 turkey avocado BLT, a half Goddess Salad, an apple and blueberry lemonade. The restaurant was very busy and the dining area reflected this as many of the tables weren't wiped off and the floors were messy. A kind customer wiped my table, which was nice of her. Anyway, my sandwich was delicious! The bacon was crispy and tasty and the salad was fresh and wonderful. The blueberry lemonade was also good. Yes, and so was the apple. Very satisfying! So I'm pissed off. I asked for the Ham, Egg, and Cheese on a ciabatta along with smoked chicken. Why is this the thinnest sandwich I've ever received? I've had this EXACT sandwich before at another location several times-- it was MUCH thicker and that was without the pulled chicken. You made me wait that long in the drive thru for this muck you put together? Not only have I not waited that long before, but I have to ask-- were you all eating the product before you gave it to me? I ordered catering for a bridal shower in July. I ordered the catering online and modified my order a couple of times. My order was ready at the time of pick up. They followed all special request directions I had in my order. The salads were super fresh. All the lettuce was super fresh. The hot sandwiches were delicious And I was given plenty of salad dressing and utensils and napkins and plates. Would definitely recommend for catering! Parking can be a challenge. But my order has always been ready on time, the food has been correctly prepared, and employees have been friendly and helpful. I order on the app and pick up inside. This place needs some attention from upper management. I travel for work and eat at all kinds of restaurants but this one sucked extra hard today. First...The bathroom smells worse than an outhouse. There are no air fresheners in the bathrooms so when someone drops a nasty in the bathroom the smell will linger and choke you out like an MMA fighter. Please get some urinal cakes and air fresheners...they are not expensive. But wait...I'm not done...there's more to this review. Today it is currently 65 degrees and they have the AC on full blast. I am freezing my nether regions off sitting here typing this review. Normally I am not that vocal about issues in a restaurant but...at 65 you don't need the F'ING air on. So I used my big boy words and went to the counter to ask them to turn it off or make it warmer in the store. When I got to the counter I asked "Do you guys have the air on?" The girl responds with an eye roll and "Yes". I felt I had to match her "I'm irritated that you are here" attitude...so I said "I think I am coming down with hypothermia...can you turn it down?". Still haven't turned the AC down and I cant feel my nose...I think I may have to revert to survival mode and start a fire in a trash can so I can warm myself like a hobo. I can deal with the employees that don't care or don't want to be there but this was a really special visit today...never thought a gas station would have a cleaner restroom or the threat of hypothermia would be a reality while eating a meal. I haven't been here in a while but I'm glad I stopped. Panera's menu has never impressed me as a vegan/plant based eater but today I was impressed. When I got to the counter, I searched high and low for the vegan options. Not much to choose from. Whomp, whomp. Then the manager Tracey comes in to save the day. She explained what was in the vegan lentil bowl and it sounded pretty good. She also explained that I can add or take away whatever I wanted on the sandwich. I was really impressed by her hospitality and willingness to work with me on my food choices. She was really great! I ended up getting the veggie sandwich, minus the feta and the vegan lentil quinoa. 4/6/2019 - service and quality have not improved since this place opened. It is probably one of the worst Panera's I've experienced. But let me start with how i was greeted. The young woman who took my order was void of personality. Ok, i can deal with that. So i ordered. They didn't give a buzzer...probably because i was the only or in the store. Some big guy was in the back yelling about being a neanderthal. I'm assuming he thought he was being funny. I will say the store was clean... And that was a first. I ordered Chipotle chicken breakfast wrap. I was waiting a long time before i realized they had placed it on the counter where i didn't see it and did not call my name. He quietly did as i went to picked it up. He actually thought that was funny. So I got to my table and took a bite... It was very cold... Not cold from sitting, although that probably contributed. I ordered $60 in food tonight. I have it delivered and I open the sandwiches which cost 12 a piece there was more bread than meat. The sandwiches looked horrible. I live out of state so I don't go here often, but when I do, it's always the longest drive thru wait. 5 or so years ago when they opened, service and experience was always great. Not sure what's happened in recent years Yesterday, after I ordered, I pulled up to the window as the car in front of me drove away. I paid. And then waited, and waited for them to give me my size small salad? (Insert confused emoji.) But by the time I drove off there were three cars behind me. My order was correct, but I just couldn't figure out why it took that long to assemble and pass along a small salad? I can only imagine how much longer it would've been if my order was larger. No employee came to the window and told me it would be "a few more minutes." I waited around 7 minutes - which doesn't sound like long - but in a drive thru with your car running - it's long. Also, it makes it extremely more difficult on the staff, because now their line is increasingly backed up. Hopefully they can figure out a process to make it easier on themselves. read more

I'm a huge ABP (Au Bon Pain) fan due to working at a hospital with one. I was craving a southwest chicken salad today and decided to stop here. Paid $11.89 for my full salad via drive thru. Got home I had NO chicken in my southwest salad. I had utensils, napkins, bread and plenty quinoa in my salad - but no chicken. I am not sure who prepared that batch of soup or my sandwich specifically but they no longer need to be on duty for that. Typically this location does okay, I just got a chicken caesar salad there and I added avocado. For one I was pretty sad with the portioning of the avocado, you would assume if you are paying for something to be added to your food there would be a decent amount of avo but there was only one little piece that I could find. I continued to eat it and I when to take a bite and I felt like I bit something so hard it pierced my gums, turns out there was a thick piece of plastic in the salad. I want to like Panera. Really, I do. It's a stone's throw from my house and it has healthy(ish) alternatives to fast food when we are completely pinched for time (or I neglected to make anything for dinner :). The biggest problem I have with this Panera location? Getting in. Seriously. The parking lot is rather small for the volume of business that this store seems to do. And the small amount of parking in the neighboring strip mall fills up quickly with patrons from those businesses. I have to be honest, if I circle the parking lot a few times without finding a spot, I am more than happy to bail on the idea of Panera. Yes, yes. I *know* they have a drive thru. Unfortunately, our few d/t experiences have been...lackluster. Items always seem to be charged wrong and my soup always seems to make it into the bag without a well secured lid. Perhaps this is to make sure the missing bread bowl doesn't seem like such a big deal. I mean once your soup spills out across the bottom of the bag, what does it matter if they forgot the bread bowl? I know that this problem could be remedied by checking before I leave the drive thru. But when there are a line of cars behind me and I've already been waiting 10 minutes, all I want to do is GTFO, you know? Also? I shouldn't have to check. It's called quality control. On the off chance we are lucky enough to snag a spot (and be careful parking here, I've seen a number of scrape/bump and runs in this parking lot) our cafe experience tends to be moderately better. Obviously, the food is over-priced for what it is, but at least I am assured soup and bread when I order a bread bowl. I'd be more willing to try other items if Panera would stop removing their few vegetarian menu options in favor of more protein laden items. All in all, Panera has a great concept which simply comes up short in its execution. Until it gets its act together...it really isn't worth the hassle. read more

I was just driving through and decided my love for Panera outweighed these terrible reviews. So I took a turn off a random exit and prepared myself for parking lot chaos and butchered special requests. As soon as the paper bag hit my hand from the drive-they window, I ripped my order apart like it was Christmas morning and what do I uncover... Missing chicken! I ordered my driver (boyfriend) to loop around. I grab the food and receipt and walk through the doors in the name of poultry justice! Not just for me, but for all you beautiful yelpers out there who warned me of this monstrosity. And you know what... I felt like a freakin' queen in this place. I was hit with an apology, an upgraded salad, a free cookie, offer from GM for bakery item of my choice and his apologies. Mind you, I was actually a pretty pleasant patron despite my minor annoyance. I really think this place responded to their pitiful yelp rating, and considering I'll never see this place again I thought I could at least show my gratitude with a little rating boost. My order gets messed up every single time that i go to the Munster location. I'm vegetarian and always order a salad with no chicken. Never fails, every single time my salad has chicken on it. A lot of times you can tell someone put chicken on and then realized it wasn't supposed to have chicken so they pick it off!!! So i have little bits of chicken everywhere. They are too lazy to make a new salad. I will never return to that location again, it has happened a minimum of 5 times to me. They are also always out of bread for panini's all-the-time.
