My first visit to Windy City Social was fantastic! I sat at the bar, where Morgan was my bartender,…read moreand Steph also helped make the experience exceptional. I had the Peach Smoky Old Fashioned and a Caesar salad with crispy salmon. The cocktail was crafted with care, and I loved watching Morgan prepare the smoky Old Fashioned with such attention to detail. The salmon was perfectly seasoned and crispy, it was a great add on to my ceasar salad so delicious - kudos to the chef!! What stood out most was the hospitality. Morgan made me feel comfortable as I relaxed, read my book, and enjoyed my meal. She was personable, attentive, and created a welcoming atmosphere that even led to great conversations with other guests at the bar. Thank you, Morgan and Steph, for making my first time sitting at the bar such a memorable experience. I can't wait to come back!

I wouldn't order it again. My sister got the Tuscan chicken she said it was really good very filling. We will have leftover. And then my Uncle ordered the rice bowl. I forgot what protein was on it but he said it was delicious he finished the entire thing. There was bits of quinoa vegetables. It looked very healthy! We got drinks. They were not strong at all. Strawberry margaritas they tasted like juice and the espresso martini was pretty decent. The only strong drink I had was the Prosecco. The ambience of this place is very nice however they have a fly and a flea problem. Last time I was at this establishment they were all inside of the building. They need to get that infestation checked out immediately because it's always a problem when I'm there. Our server was not the best she's the one who had a lot of piercings in her face. She was attentive only in the beginning until we got our food and then we never saw her again. Not the best service.

I volunteer with an organization…read morethat hosts a holiday appreciation open-house each year featuring THE BEST cookie platter from this family-run bakery. From traditional Christmas cookies to new twists on the classics (sugar cookie with crushed peppermint pieces) these cookies are not overly sweet, crisp, and delectably melt-in-the mouth with the perfect proportion of textured-add ins. I have even been known to take a couple in a plastic bag to savor later. In the last few years, cookie chains have sprung up, bringing with them cult followings for their elaborate, often hubcap-sized tricked out confections and rotating flavors. Against this backdrop, Butterfingers stays true to the classics, turning out quality products, year after year, that stir nostalgia and evoke positive emotions, much like you-know-who's madeleines. (Sorry...I swore I could make it through a cookie discussion without mentioning Proust, but I couldn't.)

I actually hate cream cheese frosting, so I did not like it. I was kind of bummed out. Especially for $4.50 a cupcake The ham salad was good. The lady working was friendly and helpful.
