I ordered the cheesesteak on ciabatta bread with an extra piece of bread, along with the Mexican street corn chowder, and everything was flavorful and fresh. We also tried the mac & cheese and a cold avocado sandwich, which were both really good as well. The restaurant itself had a very nice atmosphere -- clean, comfortable, and relaxing to sit in while eating. The staff was decent, although there wasn't much interaction outside of the cashier at the register. Customer service could have been a little more engaging, but the food and overall vibe of the restaurant still made it an enjoyable visit. This location is really adorable; it looks like it belonged in a cobblestone village tucked away somewhere. But a big shocker for me was that I never knew they had pastries, which is crazy. I've been coming to different locations for years and never noticed. However, in this location, they displayed the pastries out in the open, as well as the loaves of bread in beautiful baskets. I ordered the summertime Italian salad, which was good, with a side order of Mexican Corn soup. I think both of the options are there for a very limited time. The salad was very tasty with loads of pepperoni, cheese, and croutons. But I didnt like the dressing so much. I think it's me; I don't like anything vinegar-based. However, that wasn't a problem; the server was kind enough to offer another dressing of my choice. Now, the Mexican Corn soup should be on the menu year-round. Dropped in to pick up a rapid order for dinner. Only a short wait for my order, which was hot! The store was somewhat untidy. The associates at the pick up counter were socializing. We tried the new Bagel Stacks. They were hardy and delicious. And most importantly, my order was correct which I checked before leaving the store. Visited this location today. It is in a mini plaza with sufficient parking. There weren't many people at the time I visited. I was assisted shortly after arrival. I ordered the 2 for ( half sandwich: chicken bacon ranch and soup: chili). Food was fixed quickly. Pickup station employees were very pleasant. Lemonade and tea were not sweet enough to my liking. Floors look like they hadn't been cleaned since they opened, all the door handles had grease and nasty hand build up on them, smelled like a dumpster, glass windows and kiosk screens look like they used stagnant pond water to wipe them down, drink machine was filthy and list goes on. 3 employees, including a store manager were on their cell phones while the drive through was full, (yes I did some spying and the manager was on Amazon). Cafe #: 202600. McDonough GA. Worst place to eat EVER. They expect a tip prior to any service, the food was not "hot" but barely warm, the soup was cool to eat, and the sweet tea tasted like sewer water was used. For the price of $50 we ordered 2 whole sandwiches and two bowls of what they called soup. French onion tasted like thick beef broth, with cooked onions drop in prior to serving and stale croutons and cheese that couldn't melt due to temperature. Nothing, and I mean nothing will ever get me back into this restaurant again. Wife4 said her squash soup was good but not hot nor was her sandwich. I grew up in St. Louis so "Panera" as the rest of you call it has always been a staple in my life. I swung through this drive thru on a Tuesday morning because I'd just dropped my car off at a nearby dealership. I wanted coffee but remembered that Tuesdays is when the baker's dozen bagels are on sale. I got 13 bagels for $8 when the menu says they normally sell it for $17. It was a great decision! read more

I love Panera Bread, but this location wasn't the best. The salad wasn't that fresh and they didn't give me enough salad dressing as I requested. I don't eat chicken, so they took that off as a topping. The broccoli cheddar soup was really delicious. It was hot and a lot of broccoli in it. If I had to do it all over again, I would've ordered the turkey chili. I really love that and it always have a nice portion of ground turkey in it. read more

We don't eat Panera often because of the price, but love the taste of everything. However, the service is always lacking. They tend to be out of stuff a lot, which isn't exactly a service thing but just disappointing. They almost always forget to put in the baguettes for us or switch them out with chips when we didn't want chips. This last time we went a couple weeknights ago, I ordered the whole Bacon Turkey Bravo and a cup of the wild rice chicken soup. The attendant repeated the order correctly, but when we got our order I checked to find they had given me a whole Roasted Turkey Avocado BLT. I thought I could ignore it but after one bite decided to go inside and have them fix it. Luckily the manager was at the counter and she had them fix it right away. My mother and I enjoyed our lunch here. It was a busy Friday afternoon and the seating area was full, but there was no line when we walked in. This was my mom's first visit, so the cashier was patient and kind and explained the menu thoroughly for her. A nice surprise was that I had a free pastry item awaiting on my Panera card from March that I had never redeemed, and it was still valid. I chose a blueberry scone that was huge and, though it had a bit too much salt in it, it was still pretty good. Our lunch choices came out fresh and perfectly prepared and were double checked for accuracy by the employee assisting outside of the pickup area. The corn chowder is delicious! I hadn't Panera in a while and I really had a taste for it today. I placed my order through the app for rapid pick up it was supposed to be ready in ten minutes because I only got a salad. I walk in pass the pick up time...nothing is on the rapid pick up shelves, but there's a long line for the dine in customers waiting for their food. I stand there and wait because I'm thinking it couldn't take that much longer for a salad. WRONG, I waited from 1:33pm to 1:55pm for a salad that was ordered at 1:23pm. I didn't walk through the entire store, but it wasn't tidy. Cups/lids were missing, no napkins and trash was overflowing. Maybe it was the lunch rush, but I won't be going back anytime soon. Per usual, as with most franchises, this Panera's food quality was what it normally is and what you'd expect, as was the ambiance and the set up...My only issue was, that my table wasn't clean and I chose to clean it myself and as I was doing so, I looked up to find at least 3 employees looking at me in amazement, with dazed and confused and slightly disrespected looks on their faces. It's pretty simple - Do your job and I won't have to...No disrespect. CONFIRM YOUR DRIVE THRU ORDERS. I usually go through the drive thru at least once a week since I work nearby, and almost every time, my order is wrong. For example, today, I received a small soup when I ordered a large Mac and cheese. No one ever confirms what I ordered at the drive through before Im charged, just a suggestion. UPDATE: Decided maybe I would try coming back because I was craving a Broccoli Cheddar Mac & Cheese. Went through the drive thru, ordered a LARGE BROCCOLO & CHEDDAR MAC & CHEESE with a side of chips since you were out of bread, was told I'd get my total at the window. I really can't understand why the drive thru at Panera Bread is all lined up. For $15 I got a small coke (they were out of regular size cups) with no lid, a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup and half a toasted steak and white cheese sandwich. I will say that the soup was good. But the sandwich was large hard bread which was more than toasted with a thin layer of roast beef. If you cut one thin layer of roast and folded it in half, that is what was on the sandwich. The cheese was half of the length of the sandwich with nothing else. That sandwich was as dry as the desert. I tore one third of of the bread off down one side as there was nothing in it. No condiments on it if any kind. Panera Bread should be ashamed to call that a sandwich. I felt like I was on a treasure hunt...searching to find meat on barren bread. $15 for empty bread and a bowl of soup with zero protein in it. Needless to say I will NEVER be back to Panera bread. Expensive price tag for their name, because it sure wasn't for the measly scraps they feed to you as food. The only reason it even got two stars was because the soup was good. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Ordered rapid pickup and instead of the orders being placed on the designated shelves, they were kept behind the counter. Not a big deal, but the gentleman (I use that term loosely) didn't want to speak to anyone. After the customer in front of me finally was spoken to and got her order he starts talking loudly to his coworkers about how people just stand there at the window. Finally, he acknowledges me and I get my food. He continues his trash talking until I step back and explain that if he would open his mouth and greet people then he wouldn't have an issue. Then I get home and open my food to see my two orange scones are actually one scone and a quarter. Same exact price, two completely different sizes. And one is falling out of the package. My husband and I have been to numerous Panera's over the years and this is the worst. I wish I had read the reviews before coming here or we would have gone somewhere else. I'll start with the positives which forced me to give them a 3 star over a 2 star. Pros: customer service was very good. The young lady at the check-in register was very pleasant and assisted in answering my questions about vegan option (the Vegan Bowl). I asked if one of the teas had sugar and she said but and pointed me to a placard sitting close to another register; however, I would have preferred she just tell me which teas had no sugar as there were people waiting behind us. Anyway I ordered water. My husband ordered the Mediterranean Sandwich and Corn Chowder. While waiting for our order to be called in the window, we looked for a clean table. All of them were dirty and the restaurant was not busy. Thankfully we saw an employee wiping off tables or I assume that is what he called it. He walked up to the table we wanted to sit at and wiped the table off in a very small circle keeping all the other crumbs and filth on the table and in the seat. He only wiped off that one table, walked over to the drink station and got on his phone appearing to text. He disappeared after that and surprisingly another employee (a female) came over to the exact spot and got on her phone appearing to text. Tables stayed dirty. It didn't take long to get our food. I was disappointed that I paid $9 for a bowl of broth with a tasteless grain and Kale. Over-priced. Another reason for the 3 instead of 2 is that my husband said that his Corn Chowder was very good.
