I eat here often. Food is consistently good. For that I give 5 stars. Reason for 3 stars is the place is always messy/dirty. Dishes piled up at trash station. Drink bar is always dirty. Tables often aren't clean. It's an extremely busy location but feel for this reason they need to have someone continuously working to keep the place clean. I have to write a review about the incredibly rude and unprofessional manager. I walked up to the cash register today to order - the man at the register failed to say hello or any type of verbal greeting whatsoever. The only thing he said is when he asked me if my order was to-go. Not a single pleasant word, not a smile, not a hello or thank you. I noticed from his name tag that he is the manager. What a horrible, horrible example he sets for employees and the development of those young people that work at this company. The curbside here sucks. They have like 3 spaces, and people just park here and go in and stay. They don't even check to see who is in the curbside, and they take FOREVER to bring out to food since you have to park in a non curbside spot. They should really monitor these spots more. I saw people parking in the two handicap spots outside of the restaurant for curbside because there was no curbside spots left. I wasn't starving so I popped in for a light brunch. All I got was a strawberry smoothie and a chai latte. That's all I can tell you about plus the service and environment. The environment was just AMAZING. Everyone was so nice and was happy to serve you your food. The service wasn't a long wait around 10-12 minutes however the line was getting longer just after I ordered. The food was-like I said I only got a smoothie and some chai-ok. I'll start with the smoothie. I got a strawberry one and it was ok but I would've liked a more strawberry taste because I was getting more of just Greek yogurt. Now I'll move on to my chai latte. I had an iced chai and it was very strong and flavorful which in MY opinion isn't a bad thing. However I prefer lavender in my chai and they didn't have that. However I understand that because it's not a coffee shop. Overall Panera was a good place whether you just need a snack or a healthy meal. read more

I am a big fan of Panera Bread normally. But this establishment was disappointing and I was very surprised. I visited here being extremely hungry and ordered lunch, I had to wait 20 minutes to get my food which I think is unusually long for Panera Bread. The sandwich was served with a bag of chips lying next to it, and it just looked pathetic to me. Panera offers many great breads, this sandwich was served on white bread that looks like Wonder Bread of days gone past. This sandwich look like one that you would slap together at home. Panera used to be pretty awesome when it first came out: it was clean and a definite competitor in the huge field of sandwich shops in the area. Now it's pretty much fallen down to an exact copy of the model set out by Atlanta Bread Company, which was also once worth eating at, but now has kind of sunk into crud. They make a nice array of sandwiches here, but most of them are nothing you couldn't make at home for much less. They have the same selection of bread products that their competitors do. They have a small array of coffee and fruity drinks. Whereas they used to be pretty clean and quick, now it's a bit more trashy and seems to take forever to get your order out. Plus the lines tend to extend forever. I say buy some groceries and make your own! read more

Panera is usually my go to after shopping in the Avenue!! Their food is delicious and service is usually spot on, sadly today was very different. I felt very unwelcomed by the cashier, Isabelle, she had a bit of an attitude and gave me very dirty looks. I like Panera Bread. It's a chain, but the stuff it serves seems fresh and is tasty. They serve a variety of different sandwiches, soups, and salads, and now they've started serving a few pasta dishes and honestly one of the best mac and cheeses I've ever had -- cheesy and yet creamy, too. I usually get a you-pick-two combo where you can select two of the three (salad, soup, and sandwich). My favorites are the creamy tomato in a bread bowl, the Sierra Turkey sandwich, and the Greek salad with chicken or steak. It's one of the larger Paneras around, and it's a good place to get a bottomless cup of coffee, a bakery item (I'm partial to their scones or an everything bagel with reduced-fat chive cream cheese), and just work or surf on your laptop using the free WiFi. read more

Good variety of seating, but can be busy at peak times. Generally, the order-takers are friendly, although mine today seemed new and confused a bit. Kitchen is generally fast. Good Coffee and Tea and ICED TEA selections (including the Georgia rarity of UNsweet Iced Tea.) Pros: Good/Fresh Food, upscale, fast, beverages Cons: loud, they need to clean up more often--gets messy. Newer--but starting to show lot of wear on seating, carpet walls, etc. Customer service lags other Panera's. No one came around to clear/clean while I was there. read more

I would usually go there in the evening around 7:30-8, yes at least 2 hours BEFORE close time, and yet, they would rush us, say they ran out of basically everything even the tea, come on.. They didn't even ask if I had a Panera Card, messed up my order and ended up charging me more. As I was waiting for my order I heard the lady whispering "how do you say that name? It's weird.." I work from home so I head over here a few times a month just to have a change of office scenery (and not have feel guilty about staring down dirty clothes and dishes) and Panera is much better than Starbucks for me. I like pretty much everything they serve be it the sammies, eggy things, cookies, salads, flavored bagels. I especially like all the different self serve tea and coffee options. 1/2 star off for having so few electrical outlets. Like fast food restaurants, fast casual restaurants have their good days and their off days, and as many times that I've been to this location... they've had more off days than I can count... I've walked inside, stood in a line for about ten minutes while other employees talk in the back and one cashier is working. Another time I've walked up to a cashier and started giving her my order and she says "Oh I'm not open" so I just stand there waiting for someone to come take my order. And this last go round... no one comes to the register because it takes three employees to make one cappuccino. So I finally place my order and I'm thinking the cashier is slicing my bagels... he's not... He starts to make another order then proceeds to call them to get their bagels... and after calling for them 3 times he stands there as he's clearly forgotten about me. He finally comes back to the register takes my money and slices my bagels (I didn't even want them toasted, BECAUSE THEY CAN'T TOAST BAGELS CORRECTLY TO SAVE MY LIFE) So I'm just staring at him, because I am clearly not happy with the service... And all the while I'm thinking to myself.... ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME!!!! But despite all that, I'll come back to this location because the bagels and breads are decent (when the bagels aren't the size of frisbees...) But with the wishy washy service, it leaves much to be desired. Anyway this just lets you know I don't have any high expectations going back time and again. read more

Every couple years I give Panera another go and every time I remember why I've stayed away. Poor execution and high prices just do not offset the pretty good quality ingredients and the comfy space -- I mean who has 15-foot ceilings in fast-caz? Anyway, the Turkey Avocado BLT ($8.69) had the bones of a nice sammich, but man, evidently no sammich makers among the three behind the counter on a slow weeknight. What shoulda taken about two minutes to churn out instead took nearly 10, and I should've known that the avocado was a struggle. It arrived chopped and lumped up, not at all evenly sliced for a sammich. Inverse was the giant leaf of lettuce which could have been torn in half and doubled up and still draped nicely over the edge. Nope. Instead I got a sort of banana-leaf prep: I could have wrapped the leaf AROUND the outside of a sammich half it was so big. Nice chunks of turkey, OK tomato -- but man, the thing was a beast to eat. Do like that they have iced coffee, hate the price, $2.19. We are talking pot-brewed coffee allowed to cool, dumped in an iced tea dispenser. Cha-ching. Upshot is $11 for an OK lunch, lite din. We'll see what 2016 holds in store. read more

Ate here today, big crowd, but the order taker was very efficient and polite, and the person "delivering" the order was polite and took time to chat a bit even though everybody was very busy. Only giving this place a two star because the girl at the cash registered (Anna Claire) was very friendly and made up for her managers ignorance. When going to pick up my food at the counter I kindly asked Mike (the manager) what he would recommend as a sauce to substitute for pesto because they no longer sell pesto, he immediately rolled his eyes, walked off and came back and said we don't have anything similar. I then realized my sandwich was missing the tomato and onion so I told him and he seemed irritated as he walked over to grab tomato and onion without taking my sandwich with him, he quickly walked back over and slapped them on my plate missing my sandwich and landing on my napkin. I then asked, isn't this supposed to be toasted and he said with a rude tone, IT IS !! This was the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced from a Panera bread, especially from a manager, please do everyone a favor and find a replacement before he scares everyone off. He is probably the reason this location is rated a 2 star already. All the rest of the employees were delightful, so that definitely helped me from throwing my sandwich in Mikes face! read more

The absolute worst customer service anywhere. Granted it is Christmas eve. The store closes at 7 pm. Our order was placed at 6:40 for pickup. We arrived prior to 7 pm and was told the order was unilaterally cancelled. The store claims to have called yet no missed call is recorded. We did receive an email at 6:51 long after we left to pick up the order. If you close at 7 then close at 7 and not 6:40,6:45 or 6:50. The cancellation was arbitrary and capricious. You obviously cannot rely on this stores service or it's stated hours. Any business interested in its customers would have honored the order that was within the stated hours especially if they fail to reach the customer by telephone efore they come to pickup the order. I guess I should not be surprised given this stores ratings. read more

I had a gift card and decide to try Panera Bread in Marietta by Kennestone hospital. I ordered a Steak and cheddar sandwich and a cookie from their app. I did this for a couple of reasons one is my ankle was in a boot and difficult to walk around and they had curbside service. When I ordered it gave me a time and because I knew there would be more traffic I added five minutes. I got there two minutes before the time due and checked in to let them know I was there. I sat there past my due time and attempted to call them. They didn't answer. So I waited for an additional eleven minutes for my order to come out. Which means they have 33 mins to do a sandwich and a cookie. When I got the order there were no napkins when I requested it and my cookie was just thrown in the bag. No wrapping or cover. When I got home to eat my sandwich it had half a piece of steak on the side it did not even cover the bread. The other side had more meat but there was more bread the meat and no onions when it was supposed to have them. Very disappointed will never eat there again. I even reached out to a company and waited four days and they don't care about customer service or food prep. read more

This is a pretty big location. It's often crowded, so it can be hard to find a seat. However, the folks who work here really staff the counter well, so they can process a LOT of folks through the order line very quickly. Don't be put off by the line - it won't take long at all. I give four stars simply because I have loved Panera Bread for soooo many years. I've visited many locations over the metro area and see about the same level of customer service. It is what it is on that front, but because I am rather a soup and or salad with half a sandwich kinda girl for lunch (when I do eat out) and certainly have a huge sweet tooth, this place suits me just fine!! I love their egg soufflés, panini sandwiches, cinnamon crunch bagels, salads, most pastries, green tea, chai tea latte (though I wish they had the soy option), smoothies and a few other items. The location to me is perfect. The Avenue is highly appealing to a variety of shoppers, so they could not have picked a better location, especially since the one further down Roswell Rd (going towards 120 loop) near E Lakes shopping center, closed down (why?!!!!!). So for me fresh healthy, well portioned food is key and if I'm gonna go chain, fast food, this is my kinda place for anytime of day!! read more
