Revisited and did have to about 15 minutes but they were SLAMMED so I understand. Finally got around to trying their Mac&Cheese and I can see why everyone talks about it so much. Green Tea was also great.

This is a nice Panera bread and classier than most! Super neat inside with fireplace and wood support columns. I had the potato soup which is better than it sounds. Quick ordering at the counter and fast service considering the place was busy. A few downsides. No kiosk. And very few electrical outlets. Neither was a problem for me. Located in high end shopping area, so you can do other shopping here. Definitely worth a stop for healthy food.

Panera Receipt with promise of a free treat if anything is wrong.

My wife and I went to the Avenue at East Cobb for dinner last night March 30, 2019) and visited Panera Bread and Smallcakes. I had complaints about both stores. This review is about Panera only. (My complaint about Smallcakes is at their Yelp page.) At Panera I was troubled by 2 issues unrelated to the food we ordered (I guess I should note that I'm a senior (76) and get easily annoyed at minor slights). Issue 1 - NO SWEET ROLL FOR A DOLLAR WHEN ORDERING A MEAL. While waiting in line, I noticed that the longtime standard offer of a sweet roll for $1.00 when buying a meal had been reduced to a lousy cookie. This is no longer much of an offer since a dollar per cookie is nothing to write home about. I had actually been looking forward to getting a cinnamon bun or cherry Danish for that dollar charge, but that was no longer possible. Anyway, a young order taker (who may have been in training) took our order. I ordered a bowl of Bistro Onion Soup (which is always great) and a drink and my wife ordered a 1/2 Cuban Sandwich and 1/2 Fuji Apple Salad along with a drink. Issue 2 - FAILURE TO LIVE UP TO CLEARLY PRINTED POLICY ON PANERA RECEIPT. The problem arose when the employee advised my wife that one of the standard items that come on the sandwich (pulled pork) was not available but that a substitute meat could be added at no additional charge. My wife chose turkey. We paid for the meals and while waiting for our food, I noticed on the receipt that we had been charged $.99 for the turkey substitute. So I spoke to the manager on duty and he offered us a free cookie or my money back. We weren't interested in just a free cookie so he refunded the dollar back to me. THEN, after sitting down to eat, I looked at the receipt and it had the following language at the very top: "YOUR ORDER SHOULD BE CORRECT EVERY TIME. IF IT'S NOT, WE'LL FIX IT RIGHT AWAY, AND GIVE YOU A FREE TREAT FOR YOUR TROUBLE. JUST LET MY ASSOCIATE KNOW". So, I ask is the MANAGER of the store unaware of the standard language on his store's receipt form? It is noted here that the free treat could arguably be something better than a cookie! However no such offer was made and my wife doesn't like me to complain. SO, I'm complaining now.

Place is a S-hole and should be closed. Seriously Panera corporate if you read this shut it down. It's an embarrassment. There was a line then they announced there would be a 30 minute wait. We were dumb and stayed. Cashier on her phone. Out of their most popular item, 51 dollars for food, filthy floors and tables, fountain drink syrup out. I get labor is hard to find but the manager here just needs to be fired. Staff is plain old confused. You really can't even afford to keep this place open with this mess. Try first with a manager that shows their face to a customer as if they care. With all the new places opening for better for you options why go to a dump sit in trash and be treated like garbage. I wish the rating was in F's and I would give it 0 f's like the manager owner or corporate does. 0 F's to give. Sorry to the staff. I spent more time writing this than they spent caring for the place. You're welcome.

Looks more like a small than a large and they forgot the croutons!

If you're unfamiliar, like I was, this is a Chipotle-style, make-your salad place. There isn't very much signage as you walk in, but the bar makes everything orderly and easy to see and order. Plenty of good proteins, bases, and veggies to choose from. I walked in as the doors were opening, and I got a welcoming greeting when I reached the counter. The "regular" size is HUGE and was more like 2 servings. I added the baked salmon to my mixed greens bowl, and it was very filling for my lunch over 2 days. That makes the price of the bowl totally worth it. All of it delicious! They had a pan of fresh-baked cookies out, and I had to get one. I thought they'd be crispy but ended up being on the soft side. They are huge though. Still tasty! I'll be back, often.

My wife ordered the half House Turkey Club Panini along with the Chicken Tortilla Soup. Both were good, but the soup was very good. Rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. Our 3-year-old had the mac and cheese with a fruit salad, and that might have been the biggest compliment of all. She ate most of it and was begging to take the rest home, which says everything. Fresh, well-made food that works for both adults and kids is hard to find, and Fresh To Order nails it. Plus the GM, John, couldn't have been better. Today, however, I'm still not sure what I received but it was inedible. I ordered a bison burger, which had good reviews here. No bun, with a side salad. I've had bison burgers at other restaurants and enjoyed them so thought this would be a good lunch bet. I know I got my order because it had my name on it. The salad was great, fresh with good toppings and a tasty balsamic. The burger was separate in its own container and looked great until I cut into it. For starters, it was red raw in the center, not a nice rare burger. It was raw. The meat looked odd, too, but I thought I'd eat around the edges and make the best of it. Except it was really weird. It felt like a Frankenburger - bison mixed up with something else (quinoa?) AND as I got into it further what looked like cherries or cranberries. I ended up dissecting this disgusting mush because I couldn't even eat the edges. Honestly I think someone messed up the order, but I can't imagine anything like this being on the menu or allowed out of the kitchen. I took pictures of the dissection - it was after our meeting so doesn't look as raw as it arrived. Not something I would try again and the kitchen needs some quality control.

The pancakes themselves were light and fluffy and not weighted down like so many other places. The chicken, maple syrup and sliced/sauted jalapeño slices was great if you crave mostly savory with a little sweet. A good portion of fried/breaded chicken that was seasoned well. The green matcha was more decadent with a layer of whipped cream in between the cakes and shavings of white chocolate to garnish with. The mango and kiwi pancake is nice if you want a lighter fruity version and the two pair quite well. Underneath is a mango purée perfect to sop up with your pancake fork in hand! The Nutella and banana came with the chocolate separate that you could drizzle on top. So much fun! I don't think you can go wrong with the food choices here. I'll certainly be back to try their drinks and others.

We started the day a little late so we were looking for a brunch place. I came across Fluffy Fluffy on Yelp and since they serve Japanese-inspired pancakes, we decided to give it a try. It was Mother's Day so the restaurant was completely full when we arrived. We took a while deciding what to order and luckily a table opened up at just the right time. We ordered both a savory and a sweet dish, the Eggs Benedict with Salmon and the Mini Soufflé Pancakes. One thing to note. Their website mentions that the combo set is available all day but this particular location doesn't offer it. We really enjoyed the Eggs Benedict. You can choose either a croffle or sweet toast and we went with the sweet toast which was delicious. I also loved the dressing they used on the salad. (I was disappointed to later find out that they actually sell the dressing!) The soufflé pancakes, however, were a bit of a mixed experience for us. We chose the mini version so we could try four different flavors: blueberry cheese, tiramisu, matcha tiramisu, and strawberry cream. In the end, we were actually glad we ordered the minis instead of a full-size pancake with just one flavor. Out of the four, the blueberry cheese was our favorite. The tiramisu flavors didn't really taste much like tiramisu to us and the strawberry cream topping was fairly simple as well. The pancakes themselves were also a little drier than we expected. I also ordered a matcha latte but unfortunately, it wasn't my favorite. It tasted a bit watery and didn't have a good matcha flavor. Overall, it ended up being a hit-or-miss experience for us but we still thought it was a fun and unique concept to try.
