Staff was friendly and food was good. They even handed out free cookies. Nice experience.

Debbie who took my order was sweet. I came in to order 15 croissant sandwiches and the manager, Neishel, immediately got an attitude asking why I didn't call in the order. I patiently wait 40 mins for my order just to receive the wrong order. When I point it out I got more attitude from the manager, though the ticket had the right order on it. Unbelievable and disgusting! read more

Placed an order for to go and when I opened the bag an hour later, my salad was missing chicken and had the incorrect dressing that I had requested. The QC staff is not very friendly or welcoming. The front counter staff is decent. I uploaded my receipt to show that I requested a different dressing and that the salad was supposed to have chicken. read more

Panera Bread - Sandwiches Near Me - Madison, Tennessee

Used this Panera to cater a breakfast for me this morning for one of my Doctor's offices. I had originally ordered from Cracker Barrel, but woke up to a message at 4 AM stating my order had been cancelled in the system...talk about panic...I had to be there by 7:30 AM Needless to say, I placed the order online with Panera and they did a tremendous job and I arrived on time and everyone loved the food. The staff was absolutely amazing at Panera and saved my buns!!! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! I'll be using you again read more

This was a nice Panera. The coffee was good and the portions were huge! Had a great girls' brunch.

I honestly wish this place would either shut down or get new management. The staff is loud and rude every time. I stepped into their tiny "meeting room" just to take a phone call because the restaurant was so noisy, and the manager walks in with, "ummmmm yeah, this is $50 for 2 hours." Newsflash: nobody is hosting business meetings at the Rivergate Panera. Relax. Another time, I sat down to wait for my food and no one told me it was ready. I finally walked up and asked, "Were you guys not going to tell me my food was done?" Their response: "Well, you walked away." Just a wild customer experience every visit. read more

Unfortunately, the meal at Panera Bread did not meet expectations. The French onion soup lacked depth in flavor, with an oily texture and minimal cheese or croutons, making it feel incomplete. The taste was far from satisfying, and it seemed almost watered down. The steak and cheese baguette was equally disappointing. The meat portion was extremely sparse, and what was there didn't have much flavor. The bread itself was toasted, but the sandwich overall felt empty and unbalanced, with too much bread and too little filling. In summary, both the soup and sandwich felt "shy" in both taste and portion, leaving much to be desired. Not the hearty, comforting meal one would hope for at Panera. The fountain drink machine needs to be cleaned! Smells of rotten soda. read more

I often rely on Panera for early morning meetings. There is nothing like a little culinary bribery to perk people up and make an early morning meeting seem not so bad. I usually grab bagels to bring to these meetings and as an added bonus on Tuesdays, they have a special on a baker's dozen of bagels. The staff here was friendly, though a bit slow. Hey, it was early morning, I get it. Panera locations are usually bright and cheerful and this location was no different. The inside was geared to be pleasant and comfortable. It was in a shopping plaza, so parking was definitely not a problem. All in all, I would definitely recommend this particular Panera Bread location and I give it five stars. Be advised that this is for their breakfast options. read more

For years I have been a loyal customer with no problems, until the past two orders. Why do they even have quality check on the process. Last time I got a Mediterranean Chicken salad and they gave me the one with no chicken. Today I ordered a French Onion soup and salad. When I went to take everything out of the bag- no toppings for the French onion soup. No baguette. I prefer to leave positive reviews - and will hopefully be able to do that soon. read more

Service sucks. Got paged that my order was ready. The order was missing 2 items. Waiting for it at my table and they didn't let me know the other 2 items were ready. I said "you weren't going to let me know?" The guy replied with "well you walked away" I then said can you heat up my cinnamon roll, he then replied with "we don't heat up things. There's a microwave over there" And they request tips as you're paying for your order. Tips for what?? Don't eat here. read more

Great staff! I just came in at 7:35pm after going to krispy cream and Starbucks down the street from this location, and Dutch brothers. All of them didn't have enough coffee for 6 people. Six large coffee yes Starbucks KK AND DB all had no coffee left. Panera actually didn't have much left and when I explained to the lovely young woman "Sam" helping that I'm getting it for our construction men (working nights at the mall across the rd, in the cold) she said "well I can make you a box fresh". THANK YOU! I mean she's just doing her job, and doing it well, it's hard to find people that actually care anymore. This one experience alone has made me decide to start ordering from the Madison Panera more. Thank you again Sam, for helping our guys know how important they are. Wow, what can I say about this place? You know how you love the smell of coffee in the morning this place smelled like piss and old mildew carpet. It was so weird. I ordered a coffee and went to go sit down to plug in my computer. The outlet wasdangling wouldn't allow my power charger to go in just fell out. Also had like a dread Lock or something on the table everything sticky staff was cool, but I would not recommend coming to this place. read more

My food was good, but I got a Baja Bowl with no chicken. This was my first time In Panera Bread, and I didn't know the procedure to getting your food. I just followed suit from the customers in there and walked to the counter. The other customers told the lady their name so I proceeded to do the same. I had just taken my order so I thought that was the procedure. I told the lady my name and she said "Ma'am it's not ready yet..it's not ready yet" I told her I was just giving her my name that's all. She repeated herself again and said the food wasn't ready. I told the cashier I didn't want Quinoa in my Teriyaki chicken bowel as well. The same lady in the kitchen fixing the food yelled my name a few times and said with a bad attitude "It says you don't want quinoa but it's already made in it" I told the lady that's fine just put it in there. She repeated herself again to tell me "Yea b/c it's already made in there" I said "That's fine just add it in there" I get my food and go to my car to realize my order was wrung up wrong and they didn't add rice in my BAJA BOWEL with no chicken. I go back inside to let the lady in the kitchen know and instead of just acknowledging that it may have been an error on the cashiers part...she dang near tried to make it like I was wrong instead of just fixing it. This was an African American lady that I'm assuming was the manager. She had a short hairstyle with glasses and twists/dreads. I didn't appreciate the customer service AT ALL with this being my first time at Panera! I heard her talking to the other girl in the kitchen with her while the girl asked her a question as well. She told the girl WITH AN ATTITUDE "Idk I'm doing 3 things at once right now." If I was a food reviewer or a person in higher management, this could've gone a completely different way. All I'm saying is please do better with customer service going forward. read more

The food was good, I just wanted to brag on the man who was handing out food, he was a bigger guy looked like a manager, he was there today on 7/3/2023. He had the best personality smiling and laughing with his crew and to people when they walk up! You should really recognize this man!!! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is cause the lobby was very very dirty and no clean tables read more

This Panera Bread was the WORST! The display screen for waiting was not working correctly Our sandwiches looked like they were thrown together the soda machine (which contained 80% of beverages chioces) was broken they had a large rolling been for ice The sweet tea (which we ordered) Was not there They directed us to one container which contained I DONT know what (but definitely disgusting!!) Abd told us to add our own liquid sugar located next to it! Bathrooms were locked we security code We definitely will NOT be back read more

Ordered some breakfast items for delivery at a customer site and they forgot to include the most important part of the order; the $27 coffee tote! Called the restaurant and went through their automated menu to get to a person that could help. No one ever picked up so I had to call back and try another option. When I finally reached someone I was assured they would bring the coffee tote right out. Never arrived and now I have to fight for a refund for that item. This store needs to get their poop in a group. read more

Wow, this Panera location is BAD. They were completely out of every single bread item by 12pm (except baguette). Every single table was dirty. The drink area was a mess. This place needs some serious help! read more

Returning to Panera after the Pandemic to try their new " chef's" chicken. I am totally disappointed. There is some mild marinated taste for flavor, a small slab of mayonnaise, a small piece of lettuce and some croutons for crunch. Not worth the clearly overpriced $11 (10.99) sandwich. So sorry. read more

Well another restaurant that has gone down hill. Too expensive for what you get. Thinly sliced meat on sandwich on big bread, and then they give you more bread, which is all I tasted after this meal. If you're gonna charge more give us a sandwich with protein and not more carbs. You have to get your own drinks, pick up your food, and bus table. I hope no one gives me any more gift cards from there. read more

The facility was absolutely filthy. The air conditioning was not working and the poor workers were hot, sweaty and dirty. There was garbage strewn about the place and I used to like this place but I have to say it was not safe to eat anything there. I have never seen such a disgusting eatery. read more

Walked in to grab a quick dinner. Upon entering we were met with the smell of old grease and dirt. The whole place is filthy. I can only imagine what the kitchen might look like. We ordered the grilled chicken sandwiches ($12.99), and got room temperature meat on a cold bun. I couldn't eat it. Panera used to be a place you could go to get a meal prepared with fresh ingredients in a nice clean restaurant. A restaurant that was manned by employees that took pride in their work and product. So disappointed tonight. $32 down the drain. The first thing I grabbed upon leaving was my hand sanitizer. read more

I used to go to the Panera Bread in Madison at least 3 times per week but have totally STOPPED. I always try to give any business more than one chance, I have this place 3 and I'm DONE!!! 1) Nobody in the cooking area wears a hairnet, this includes people with long hair, long dreadlocks NOBODY! 2) I have gone in and ordered bread on 2 different occasions for pick up within the next few days (giving them the exact day I would pick up). When I arrive at the designated day and time as scheduled they didn't have it. 3) The third and finally straw was when I went in to order coffee and a pastry. There was some guy behind the counter literally PICKING HIS NOSE !! NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO ANY PANERA. read more

I came to Panera to grab a healthy-ish meal in between errands. Panera delivered, as they always do. There is hardly ever a line at this location and their fast kiosk is awesome. It's always clean and very fast. The cashiers are friendly and helpful, suggesting items when you're torn between this or that. The cooks who serve up the food at the counter also always have a smile. This is a restaurant that caters to "lighter" fare. It's hard for me to feel uncomfortably full when I leave which is awesome. There's a variety of age groups every time I swing by. The one downside is that there is a homeless man who likes to yell at who sits next door, but that is in no way Panera's fault. read more

Easy to order and pick up online. You can customize anything you want, often for no additional charge. Food is ready quickly, and the breakfast sandwiches are surprisingly good. I like the bacon, egg and cheese on ciabatta and I usually add spinach. In the eight years I've been coming here, the managerial staff has changed a few times, but I've formed good relationships with many of the employees. It's a good option for quick and fairly healthy food in Madison. read more

Orders seems to always be incorrect / missing key ingredients, the place just seems run down and dirty. The service is so so. If we ever go to Panera, we make it a point to drive to the one all the way in Hendersonville. Much better service and a better atmosphere than this one. read more

I will avoid this Panera in the future. Many options were out of stock. I dined in and the ice machine was broken so the drinks were hot. All of the frozen beverages were "out of stock." You can't order singular pastries in the kiosk. Over all just a big disappointment. read more

Super salads, amazing bagels, love the paninis, roast turkey sandwiches with apple. YUM

This restaurant needs a thorough scrubbing of every surface from the front door to the coffee dispensers to the restrooms to the wood privacy walls between the booths. Every surface shows built up grime. This location does not measure up to Panera standards, and I can't imagine this place could pass a health inspection. read more

Paneras food is just okay usually never memorable. It's not bad, it's not good, it just is. You eat it, and that's all that happens. It's okay prices, for okay food. The Keyword here is OKAY. When you're in a bind and starving, it gets the job done. I left the house having not really eaten a proper breakfast and ended up at Panera eating their strawberry steel cut oats. It was okay, could have been worse, needed salt and the strawberries were clearly thawed out. But I have to say, if it's between Panera and other chain places, Panera wins my vote every time. read more

I love Panera! They are so innovative w their online ordering, kiosk ordering and face-to-face. The rapid pick up is the best! Food is always fantastic, fresh and reasonable for the quality! Panera bread Hendersonville is also beautiful with a very welcoming atmosphere! read more

I frequent this Panera and usually always order online as it is generally busy at lunch time. I normally always get the same salads, a chicken avocado Cobb salad and substitute for the low sugar Asian dressing. LOVE! However the last order I made was a half flat bread half macaroni and cheese. It was delicious! I had half of a turkey cranberry flatbread with spiniach. Oh so tasty and the macaroni and cheese was so warm and made with a white cheddar I believe. Needless to say I was a full and happy camper returning from my lunch! read more

You know what's awesome.... Panera bread reserving the conference room for a 7 hour meeting after they "lost" the scheduling book for 72 hours and not calling you back after telling you they would 3 times so you would have just shown up with your group and walked in on a 7 hour meeting with your group and heard how their delicious bagels are made.... that's awesome oh that and I'm pretty sure if codes saw the electric outlet in said conference room they would shut you down for a fire hazard but whatever ball out Panera in rivergate I'm pretty sure it's where hepatitis is made read more

When I was visiting in Madison over the weekend, I ordered the caesar salad and was disappointed to find it such poor quality. I returned my caesar salad to the counter because of wilted and stringy lettuce. i realized pretty quickly that this was not freshly prepared. Nor was it green at all, like in the photos. She went into the cooler, grabbed another handful "out of the bag" and added dressing to it. Then she gave the bowl back to me. She literally told me she had grabbed more out of the bag. It was the same poor quality. Are we really charging people for lettuce from out of a bag, that's been sitting for who knows how long, and not providing freshly cut green lettuce as indicated in the photo? read more

I've lived in Madison for 5 years and I really want to like this place because it's close to my home, but it's not kept clean and the line gets very long. If you want food to go, then use the tablet/kiosk and you'll get your order in good time. But the counter is consistently under-staffed and the bathrooms are never in good shape. I'll still come here sometimes for the space to write or have a chat with someone (there's good Wi-Fi), and I like the menu, but there's just something so grubby about the place. read more

The manager was very nice and pleasant. The food was terribly made though.
